I think its not a problem to reveal our bitcoin address since you can find many bitcoin address in blockchain which is generated daily transactions but they can not hack that address if they seen large amount of bitcoin in that address they have no way to get those bitcoin..
And i think much better to stay your bitcoin in one place that you can save the private keys backup that you can isntall once your computer is correupted .. bitcoin-qt is the best choices since this is the first wallet of bitcoin.. that i think most safiest wallet..

The issue of stability of btc to me as I see it as mixed blessing in the sense that it has its own advantage as well as disadvantage. The advantage has attracted alot of people and it has make the investment in btc a worthwhile venture but on the other hand the instability could also not be distanced from the reason why a lot of merchants are not coming into bitcoin because they have to start adjusting their price every time to reflect the current position of the price which could change more times in a day...

Well, in my estimate I just spend cents in a day because I just use only bitcoins in playing gamble games online, I don't use my fiat money. But in physical gambling room, I use to bet only my extra money not more than two dollars.
