6481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you use diversification? on: February 22, 2019, 08:56:40 PM
Of course I still diversify, especially with established cryptocurrencies or top 10 cryptocurrencis .
Diversifying with unknown crypto is a big risk newbies traders shouldn't take. An experienced should know when to trade such coins without risking being dumped on.
6482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your general sentiment on soft-caps for ICO's? on: February 22, 2019, 08:49:27 PM
Softcap wasn't really necessary in good old days because people raised alot of  money and ICOs were quite few.
Raising funds is becoming too difficult today, which is why the softcap has become necessary.
6483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good ICOs should be protected from dump on: February 22, 2019, 06:41:01 PM
Seems you care more about the money than the ideals of cryptocurrency. Imposing kyc will only reduce the number of bounty hunters.
People will still dump no matter twhere a coin is listed.
6484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nobody wins in gambling anyway on: February 22, 2019, 06:19:28 PM
This is why it's called gambling.
People win though but it rarely happens.
The gambling business owners could making winning more likely to their gamblers.  Seems they test this things and knew it was going to be tough to win.
6485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - Eating your Brain and Money on: February 22, 2019, 05:59:42 PM
Do not get discouraged, a few days are lost, but others are won and won big! The important thing is to raise your head and move forward, life gives many opportunities to get up and if life gives those opportunities believe me the game will also give them! Wink

This has to be some of the worst advice I've seen anyone give to a gambling addict.
Did you really just say that he should just try again another time, because other people have won it big?

Follow that advice and you'll eventually lose everything you have.

Get some professional help and completely quit gambling without worrying about the losses you've already made.
You'll save more money by not gambling any more.

Lol he gave that advice with a lovely wink.
It is obvious that op was gambling to win money not to have fun and win if possible.
I guess if you make gambling a career, it ruins your life and turn you into an addict.
6486  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible buy BTC at lower price than exhange? on: February 22, 2019, 05:38:34 PM
I have experienced this severally on centralized peer-to-peer exchange.  I wouldn't want to mention the exchange name for privacy reason.  Buyers there tend to buy Bitcoin way below the real price and probably sell them on other exchanges for normal price . I stopped using the exchange upon discovering it was a chronic problem.
6487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Successful ICO With No Buyback Mechanism on: February 22, 2019, 05:32:00 PM
Interesting.
Never knew they do buyback, though I suspected such thing might be happening.  Well, shouldnt matter too much  as long as they are solid projects

I almost suggested a buyback to a coin developer some months ago i to help bounty hunters. Never knew buyback was a thing then.
6488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steemit is dead. Is there any better alternative? on: February 22, 2019, 05:12:21 PM
Steem was dead the day they claimed to be creating a decentralized platform but they ended up creating a centralized one and then added their token on top of it then the final blow was when they started giving away a lot of money so that people could spam on their platform with low quality stuff.

there can not be an alternative to a broken design like this.

Do they really pay people to post? I don't think they do. Their model is pretty sustainable from what I know. I guess developers didn't expect a long bear market. Everyone thought that the price of cryptocurrency will continue to go up.
6489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALL Initial Coin Offerings are Trash on: February 22, 2019, 11:53:50 AM
Op need to go through traditional crowdfunding websites and tell us which past projects from those sites are successful today.
The fact is that few out of the multitude of projects will get funded and some of the funded projects will succeed.

However i think managers should be strict with the kind of project they accept to promote. There should be  standards that must be passed for projects to qualify for public funding.  The standards must not violate the ideals of blockchain. Managers who violate the standard could be tagged.

It should be community driven thing and the whole cryptocurrency community should be pressured to adopt a standard.
6490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steemit is dead. Is there any better alternative? on: February 22, 2019, 11:47:52 AM
Steemit survival depends on cost of running the website. The  blockchain itself won't go anywhere soon. Lots of platforms still depend on the steem cryptocurrency as currency. They have social media gambling, video and picture sharing websites that are all dependent on the cryptocurrency.
6491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Somebody paid $310,000 in transaction fee to send 0.1eth on: February 22, 2019, 11:42:36 AM
I guess the mistake came from adjusting the fees himself.
This shouldn't even be allowed to happen. There should be a certain fee limit one can adjust . I wish this was some error otherwise the ether has to be refunded to the poor owner.

6493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Gambler's way on: February 22, 2019, 11:19:51 AM
If there was a way to beat the house with maths and probability I guess the strategy would be out by now.
I feel It could take throwing a dice  with multiple accounts to win.  Throwing multiple times with single account may reduce one's chances of winning. Just my thought. I haven't tried it before. .
6494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everything we must know about ODDs in sports betting :) on: February 22, 2019, 11:10:17 AM
I prefer gambling in sports more than dice though because besides it's entertaining, you use to analyze real events that will also make you think rather than just rolling random numbers. If you are so hooked into a specific sports then it would really help you a lot as passion will kick in.

I play parlay most of the time and chooses teams win high percentage of winning rate even though it has less multiplier.

This is a reasonable explanation!
I sometimes wonder why sports betting is seen as gambling. There really could be skilful people who could make accurate sports predictions. If this is the case then it doesn't qualify as gambling in my opinion. Betting is more appropriate word. .
6495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats up with Craig Wright? on: February 22, 2019, 10:46:48 AM
I kind of think he was trying to make people understand that satoshi wasn't a real name.. . that it was a psdonym or something.
I doubt he is satoshi though. There is something not right about him Smiley
6496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Disadvantages of Gambling on: February 22, 2019, 10:24:12 AM
I think this are symptoms of gambling addiction. A normal gambler could gamble few times in a week without having these problems. Some people tend to get addicted to stuff than other.
Gamblers need to take your post seriously though.
6497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Casino On Steem Blockchain on: February 22, 2019, 09:27:55 AM
Anyone used the blockchain and won something ? What is the chances of winning on the blockchain?
Do the steem people have list of daily winners? I guess all these will encourage people to gamble?
What is the price of magic token?
6498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking for trading App on: February 19, 2019, 04:02:45 PM

6499  Economy / Speculation / Re: A chance for Bitcoin to rise! on: February 19, 2019, 03:35:01 PM
Why are you depressed if $2000 is quite a small money? Stuff like risk taking don't worry wealthy people.

You are probably a new trader who didnt learn trading properly or atall. Someone with lots of money have no reason not to make good consistent profit in this market.
6500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations or Anonymity on: February 19, 2019, 03:18:49 PM
I disagree that full kyc will eliminate scams.
Many desperate scammers will still get KYCed... They will pay to have fake documents while those who dont believe in kyc and dont want to break the law will be leave
