Interesting to see Oscar, he seems to lose a lot of weight, is he really making a comeback? hehehe

Both of them weight in at 135 lbs, as the announcer said, right on the nose. So I'm sure everyone is excited and have put their bets on.

6485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bittrex de listed XMR, ZEC and DASH on: January 01, 2021, 10:10:33 PM
As far as I can remember, some of the exchanges way back specially from South Korea has delisted Monero and some privacy coins already. So I would say that I'm not surprised though with this move from Bittrex, we all know that there are regulatory body that doesn't like privacy coins so maybe there are pressures on this exchanges like Bittrex to delisted them. Not saying that there could be others that are going to follow, but I would assume that there is. Specially Monero, governments even open up a bounty to create a software that will de-anonymized those transactions.
6486  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's highest price before the Year End's on: January 01, 2021, 04:13:04 PM
before the end of the year we already saw $ 28k hit in bitcoin,
and now bitcoin price is trying again to breakout from $ 28k, i don't know if this will work or not,
for sure if you want to buy make sure bitcoin brekaout first.

What breakout? it only happens when the price is trading sideways and waiting for a breakout run, either the price goes up, or it goes down even more. But as of the current movement, the trend is bullish so obviously the price is going up. And even if we have a retracement, the price will still be in the $20k'ish, and if the trend continues up to next year, then we might not see any pull back.

As for the highest price, I would go around $29,100-$29,300 as the highest before the end of the year.

It's gonna be above $30k

Unfortunately, no $30k at 2020. My prediction is close though, depending on exchanges it's around $29,400++. Nevertheless, we are still in the bull run so it doesn't matter if he didn't hit in at the end of the year, we have 2021, lot of wiggle room to work on it. Besides, <$1k, it can easily be hit by first week of January.

Anyways, Happy new year to everyone, let's remain and be positive in 2021, and hope that the price will continue its exponential growth.
6487  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: XRP Price to $14 - Any thoughts? on: January 01, 2021, 03:44:42 PM
So, ayun na nga. While everyone is expecting that xrp will go up to $1 man lang ay bigla namang bagsak ang presyo nito ng hindi inaasahan dahil sa lawsuit sa SEC at sa rumors ng delisting sa mga exchanges. Well, madami ang nag panic at nagsell off ng kanilang xrp.

Coinbase - https://blog.coinbase.com/coinbase-will-suspend-trading-in-xrp-on-january-19-2e09652dbf57

OKCoin - https://blog.okcoin.com/2020/12/28/suspension-of-xrp-trading-and-deposits-on-okcoin/

At iba bang nauna sa mga yan. Currently ang presyo and $0.22 at halos 20% down in the last 24 hours.

Binance eh sumunod narin:

https://www.coindesk.com/binance-us-says-it-will-delist-xrp-on-jan-13

6489  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SEC Knocking on a projects door means the end? on: December 30, 2020, 11:20:18 PM
We can't compare KIK/KIN project to XRP, XRP is already established project while KIK/KIN was a ICO who raises millions during the hype. It might take some time for XRP to recover from here, and for sure they will have to pay hefty fines and then probably move out of the US, (that's what they've said prior to the looming case by SEC). So they can survived and will still remain in crypto space
6490  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Nababahala ba kayo sa Ripple? on: December 30, 2020, 10:57:15 PM

6491  Local / Pilipinas / Re: ATH na ba? on: December 30, 2020, 10:17:19 PM
Na-breach na ang $26,000 price and umaangat pa. Ilang ATH kaya tatagusin this year.

Napakalakas ng buying levels. Kung mamaintain mga $28,000 or even close to $30,000 ang puwedung maabot bago matapos ang taon.

Grabe unexpected talaga to. At the same time, do some conversion din at baka kakaantay ng mas mataas pa, kabaliktaran ang mangyari. Masayang pagsalubong sa New Year to.

Tama, walang ceiling talaga yan dahil ATH na eh, so maaaring may 2nd wave of bull run pa.

Yes, walang talagang ceiling kasi nga  bull run at magtutuloy tuloy parin ito next year.

6493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done to you? on: December 29, 2020, 11:31:15 PM
Of course, every goes on the period of learning bitcoin, when you just starting specially in this community, you really don't know how can bitcoin change your life. Maybe you earn few sats, gamble and then liquidate to fiat and feels very happy.

But as you can experience, you really know that bitcoin is a financial revolution that can change someone's life if you invest on it because of the potential that it can give you profits no other investment or assets out there. So you learn to hold, be smart investor, diversity to give you that financial freedom that we all have been dreaming for. So there could be regrets in the beginning, but as I have said in the past, this is journey, so the longer you stay, the better will be the result.

Every user Ledger now should check the originator of the email because for sure it will give a hint whether it's from the hacker or from Ledger themselves. Good thing though is that emails are filtering this as spam, but nevertheless still dangerous for Ledger user specially inexperienced one. You will also notice threads after threads about newbies asking if their bitcoin is safe because of this continuous attacks.

6496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Whyte vs Povetkin II on Jan 30, 2021 on: December 29, 2020, 10:12:49 PM
~
I think Whyte  will be more careful here, he might just box Povetkin and get the score, just like AJ did against Ortiz and this will be a boring fight if that's the scenario we are going to witness. As a fan, I love to see a good fight and i really hope this fight would end with a KO, if Whyte would win, I'll love to see that but if Povetkin, I'll accept that.
This will be an exciting match actually, this will be a mind games match because Povetkin might have the cards up his sleeve on what he will do about this very scenario that you are talking about. A long drag fight will be the biggest disadvantage for Whyte here because he is the challenger plus he needs to land more clean hits and some knockdowns against Povetkin. My taste is more on long dragged fights because I want to savor each round and most live audience would want to because they want to get what they pay for, a bloodsport.
It should be a good fight, I'm expecting a more explosive fight than the first fight, still Whyte is listed as the favorites but Povetkin has the confidence already because he already beat Whyte once, and I like it because he is the underdog in the fight and this will get some bettors to favor on him.

I don't think that Whyte will change his style in the rematch, if ever this fight will still push through. Might be cautious in the first 2 rounds, but he still still go for the KO just like in the first fight. I'm sure he wanted revenge and in his mind a KO will leave no doubt that the first fight was really a fluke. Just hope that Povetkin will recover soon, so Dillian will not have this kind of get busy fights in between.
6497  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Crypto Adoptation (Advantage and Disadvantage) on: December 28, 2020, 11:26:20 PM

Alam naman natin (Crypto know how) kong ano talaga ang bitcoin and cryptocurrency .

gaya nlng ng Madali lng i compromise ang isang account na mayroong cryptocurrency using click bait or Pishing site.

Sa lahat ng facets ng buhay natin, lahat may pros at may cons, may balance, ika nga, nasa tin na lang kung paano natin i take advantage to, whether good or bad nasa tao na to. Meron tayong choice.
6498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of 2018 BTC aftermath on: December 27, 2020, 11:00:11 PM
As we all enjoy the current btc uptrend, it is becoming a glorious moment watching btc moving up and up. it looks like a trade we all hope for. on daily base, BTC price keeps moving up without signs of dropping. personally, i think the funds are coming from XRP dumpers. also i am skeptical because markets always correct itself no matter what.

Possible that XRP investors are shifting to bitcoin that's why the price keeps going up and reaching almost $28k yesterday.

i think what happened in 2018 will still repeat it self. BTC might fall back to 20,000 but we never know when and how but for now, lets enjoy the sweet ride to 40,000

Definitely, this market is a boom and bust, so there will come a time that a massive drop in price will have to happen. We can't just go on marching and setting new all time high, sooner or later the market will have to correct itself. But with the way institutions and big companies are investing on bitcoin, maybe we can see at least $30k to see a correction next year.
6499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Whyte vs Povetkin II on Jan 30, 2021 on: December 27, 2020, 10:32:50 PM
4 days ago Povetkin gave an interview on his Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/p/CJGfKR0qHBE/
In which he said that he was in good shape, training outdoors and preparing for the New Year. For now he trains only in the mornings but in a few days he plans to train several times a day. He also said he will try to repeat the uppercut in his fight with Whyte.

Thanks for this one, but I still think that Povetkin recovery is very slow though, maybe he was in good shape but still with the covid-19 still around, there is a chance that he might be infected again and probably he is still under observation and just training indoors and see how he felt. It's holidays anyway so the training is just light. So let's see what his body reaction if he do training like he did before and hopefully he will respond positively.
6500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why are there many big us and international institutions investing in bitcoin ? on: December 27, 2020, 09:55:56 PM
It's because what we saw in covid-19, the negative effects of it, no asset was performing this year except bitcoin., Gold, oil, stocks are all down and there is only one logical asset that around October Square and followed by MicroStrategy and then Stone Ridge chooses bitcoin as an alternative asset to put their treasury reserves. So bitcoin becomes the new Gold, and emergence as a safe haven for big to mid level companies. They now understand that bitcoin is a deflationary asset and could really be used as an hedge to the worsening financial conditions globally.
