6501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who will you cast as Satoshi in the upcoming Bitcoin hollywood movie? on: November 22, 2013, 11:55:13 AM
As all we have from Satoshi is text, Morgan Freeman doing the voiceover of it.

That guy died already twice according to Twitter , it might die for real before the movie production starts.
6502  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coin faucets.. are they worth it? on: November 22, 2013, 11:53:52 AM
I hate faucets. they are not worth your time in the slightest. i sat there when i was at work doing all these tasks from 11am to 7 pm and made 0.00004000 btc -_- great huh? lol

One day , that might be great.
Right now , you have made ...how many cents are those?
6503  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Today times of India front page on: November 22, 2013, 11:48:22 AM
Next is NMC scam , of course with nothing in common with namecoin.
6504  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to buy big amount of BTC on: November 22, 2013, 11:45:46 AM
Localbitcoins but you won't find a person willing to trade 200 so easy.
You'll have to spend quite some time to find a trusty vendor.

But it also comes down to... where are you located , I have to drive 300 km to get a seller , and I'm living in a 400k pop city.
6505  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoins vs Cash on: November 22, 2013, 11:41:11 AM
The real comparison is between EFTPOS "debit cards" 20 cents transaction fee versus Bitcoin "3% transaction fee". An average transaction is usually above $10, so bitcoin loses already.

I doubt bitcoin will work competitively unless we starve the miners and exchanges...

-----

Paypal 30 cents fee on international transfers.

Ebay fees don't count. If ebay started to accept bitcoins, expect their share of bitcoin fees to rise.

We should be looking at websites that use paypal for e-commerce.

Either way we need to see miners earn less fees and exchanges earn less fees. Furthermore, the ponzi element of bitcoin needs to be removed otherwise it will lose the mainstream audience.

Where did you get those 3%?

Today and yesterday was the first time in history that there was about 2 hours of airtime regarding bitcoin for 2 straight days.

Many people learned about Bitcoin for the first time.

So look at it like this.

2 Days for verification
3 days for wire

You can bet that next week the price is going to skyrocket based on all of the attention that Bitcoin received yesterday and today

Consider this correction huge bear trap

Not just Bitcoin....it's happening to the altcoins: http://coinmarketcap.com/

Altcoins follow bitcoin in almost every aspect , well , some do fail unlike bitcoin.
6509  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why does Bitcoin exist! on: November 22, 2013, 11:34:16 AM
Curious people seek flaws in the current best thing, and when found, they correct them in new versions.

Now it boils down to if the curious fella is a good or bad guy. Wink

Usually people seeks flaws in things so they can abuse the , if they don't own that thing.

6511  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The case Of Butterfly Labs Inc. on: November 22, 2013, 11:28:04 AM

And don't forget one thing, the hardware you have ordered in June, is obsolete, and substandard today. Last but not least, the amount of bitcoin, is set, it won't last forever. They will run out next year. Not much time left...

Peace.

After posting this non-sense , please refrain to post any advice till you actually know something about how bitcoin works.

I can't find sympathy for you anymore although you have fall int BFL trap.
6512  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coin faucets.. are they worth it? on: November 22, 2013, 11:25:24 AM
You managed to get .50 usd in 3 days.
With 5$ /month I bet that less than even a part part half time work in Ethiopia.

You realize as somebody said before , it's something like "please give something for free?"
6513  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Norway Will Tax Bitcoin + VAT on: November 22, 2013, 11:22:56 AM
That sucks, not sure how it will be enforced but it must be annoying for the Norwegians
They don't have to. Breaking the law is not that hard.

Breaking the law might not be that hard , but people don't want to
1) break the law
2) be forced to break the law

6515  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How long would it take for Anarchy to start working? on: November 22, 2013, 11:16:53 AM
Anarchy > working.
There is something in this title that bugs me.
How can you have a scale of "anarchy" working or not?
6516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This University Will Let You Pay Tuition In Bitcoin! on: November 22, 2013, 11:15:10 AM
Of course it's great news but... let's hope for people actually using it.
I just hope it's not a publicity stunt like many others in the past.
6517  Other / Politics & Society / Re: FEC says no to bitcoin politcal contributions on: November 22, 2013, 11:13:55 AM
Really , I don't see too many current bitcoin users donating for "political" reasons.
But i smell a mudslide of money laundering once this gets legal.
6518  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When will BTC be worth $100,000 per BTC??? on: November 22, 2013, 11:11:57 AM

6520  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BITPAL scammed me of my BTC on: November 22, 2013, 10:53:54 AM
Bitcoin transactions are irreversible .
Unless they want to send you back the btc , or the paypal equivalent , there is nothing you can do (for that amount).

Also I wouldn't trust a third party user review website.
