6541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitcoinSniper is a scammer. Achilles coin is his scam. on: July 27, 2014, 05:06:07 AM

I thaught the coin wasn't released yet. I think we should not try to destroy it's reputation even before we see if the technology he claims it has really exists.

The point is that he's not talking with technical terms. I'm not even sure if he knows what's block hash.

Sure there's uncertainty around. It's just a pre announcement post, let's give it some time, who knows. While it's still not released no harm can be done.

What region were the games bought in?  Tongue

This is the most importand quiestion to answer. If it's not the same region as the buyer's you won't be able to play most games.

The price and profit of the shares are plungin and payting has not responded to my message about those missing DRK. Their forum account hasn't been active since July 2. I just withdrew my entire remaining balance.
Sad I wish they will come back though.

If i set my intensity to like 4, i can play tf2 with like 70fps, while still doing around 350mh/s on my 7950 Smiley

Yes, gaming while mining, what noob I was

My 7950 survived this, water, bad drivers, bugged games and hundreds of blue screens. But it ended up being killed by some rarely high voltage when I plugged my computer to the wall one day. RIP  Cry

Add Keycoin to the list.

http://keycoincrypto.com/

Can polls actually be updated? I have never checked myself but I'm under the impression that the can't.
6548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Don't want 10-20 new shitcoins a day - read this on: July 27, 2014, 02:35:47 AM
This doesn't sound reasonable to me. You might want to make sure that coin developers are experienced before investing time and money into it but post count is not the way to do this. Many developers would have perfectly reasonable reasons to use a new account to promote their projects. Let's say for example that someone wants to protect his project from impersonators, so he creates and uses an account that has the name of his project.

Well, OP might be right in some point that he brings up but this reply is reasonable. I don't find it right to permit posts in a subforum by post count. As said here, people often have good reasons to create a new account for promoting a project. Anonymitycould be one of them. And it should be respected.

Starting a bitcoin PTC service will definite make bitcoin more popular and spread it to more people .

And here we see necroposting at it's finest...

Good thing we have a Speculation section in the forum. Hope it's easy for most people to reallise that OP is simply trolling rather than giving reasonable predictions.
6554  Economy / Economics / Re: Have you started spending rather than hoarding your bitcoins? on: July 26, 2014, 11:49:50 AM
I usually pay for items I buy with my credit card. And oh well, guess why. Last time I bought something small with bitcoin the price was ~200$. And it was on a rally at the time so I thaught it could be down on the very next day. I spent most of the coins I had at the time to games only to see the price rise to 1000$ in the same year. Thankfully this somewhat small loss taught me to not use my hard earned bitcoin for unwise purchases. Besides that, I've never bought bitcoins with FIAT, I've earned everything I have through mining and freelancing. So there is no need for me to spend my coins unless I trade altcoins.

It should be noted that Akinatior learns what he knows from people's input. Everyone can add new people and propose new question paths. At least that's what it was like when I was playing around with it.
6557  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: • CRYPTORY • — MAXIMIZE YOUR EARNING POTENTIAL WITH CRYPTORY! on: July 26, 2014, 11:17:56 AM
I believe that the next to fall is bitcoin-trader

Even though they straightforwardly deny that they're a hyip, they have the image of goldcoders in their home page. (All goldcoders do is reprogram and resell HYIP scrypts)

Whoever re-invests in HYIPS, deserves to get burned. Especially for the ones that do it in a 120 day one.

I was in the terminology post asking what instamine means. Smiley hehe

Am I in the right place to ask what the term instamine means? Roll Eyes
(i usually see it when describing an alternative cryptocurrency)
6559  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] Bitcoinswith paypal! on: July 26, 2014, 02:38:56 AM
Paypal involves high risk for the seller since the buyer can charge back for no certain reason. Best ying you could do is echange your paypal into a non reversable payment processor option (example: egopay, Perfect Money) and then come back here and try find someone to exchange it for btc. Otherwise, you can try localbitcois. This site has an automated escrow but it's still risky if you're dealing with paypal. Overall, paypal is considered the wore way to buy BTC with.
6560  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: July 26, 2014, 02:29:00 AM

Once again we shall thank BCX.

Seriously though, is there something special about monero? I saw Cryptonote having a bottun in their page "create your own cryptonote currency" or something similar. If monero could be attacked could it be that all other cryptonote copycats are vulnerable as well? I feel like history is repeating itself. After litecoin, we had hundreds of coins that had simply fork the code. Some of them had some "new features" but those were so badly developed that later discovered vulnerabilities forced them to hardfork. Making them go down in value and causing thousands of people to lose their money. I really hope that BCX is not joking around this time. We should maybe be thankfull about what he's doing this time. Because if you don't see what the devs of this coin are trying to do, then you might deserve to get burned. Trying to perserve a feeling of comfort and telling everyone that there's a bright future... BULLSHIT, no one is going to the moon. Especially not monero. A copycat that bases it's value to previously existing innovation. I thaught that I'd might never say that but this time I'm with BCX's side.
