6542  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: February 13, 2016, 01:33:36 PM
I think the bitcoin is better for the future.

Paypal already reached a high point on the mountain.

Also the bitcoin has more potential to get bigger.

If Paypal becomes a payment processor of bitcoin like Bitpay or Coinbase, would it be better for bitcoin?

bitpay or coinbase are today's Paypal.

paypal has started the same way too. it was not popular in the beginning. it even did a lot of ~$1 giveaways just to attract users.

besides i think these payment processors are good but bitcoin should never need any of them. bitcoin was created so anybody can send/receive on their own not relying on a third party
6543  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why did you come to Bitcointalk? on: February 13, 2016, 01:27:33 PM
i have seen bitcointalk in my google search results but truly i found bitcointalk through a friend who introduced me to bitcoin and this forum. and now i am here to be involved in the bitcoin world and also find out about cryptocurrencies in general.
6544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Video Games about Bitcoin? on: February 13, 2016, 01:23:52 PM
Are there any video games around the topic of Bitcoin?

E.g. where you can collect (virtual) Bitcoins, or where the Bitcoin sign just shows up as an easter egg somewhere in the game?

I think it is time for that to come to spread the word around Bitcoin. I am not talking about implementing the technology of Bitcoin and the Blockchain into the game (which would be great, too, but also more advanced) - I am talking about games that serve as an homage to Bitcoin.

i have seen a couple of cell phone games which were mostly faucet like with a tiny game.

also there were  a couple of simple flash games which run in the browser. i remember one of them was a miner which drilled the ground to go down and find valuable objects which were worth in satoshi.
6545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Budapest gets bitcoin taxis on: February 13, 2016, 01:18:37 PM
this is a very interesting news, and every news about a new way of spending bitcoin sound awesome to me.

but i am more interested to know the result of it in a while (like a month) to see how many people have used it, how much problems did they have (like with confirmation time), did anybody double spend?
6546  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Has anyone had their cryptsy account unlocked? on: February 13, 2016, 01:14:42 PM
i doubt if you can get anywhere with your request.
there are hundreds of users that have lost their money and are angry with cryptsy, they want their money back too.

i am not sure what exactly you want to do now. it has been a couple of months now since cryptsy has been hacked and disabled withdrawals + trading, withdrawals was disabled or delayed before they even publicly announce the hack.

not want to disappoint you but even if you get access to your account there is nothing you can do. and they most probably not going to give your access back. one less victim that they have to pay to.
6547  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Classic has just been released. Will it effect the BTC price? on: February 12, 2016, 07:34:31 AM
https:// coin. dance / charts

Looking good for Classic. I believe we will get 2MB blocks first and other scalability solutions later. And the "not tonight" my dear...lol, maybe tomorrow night. Who knows?

have not heard about that link till now. i use http://xtnodes.com/ to check status (is the information on it correct?) and according to it the number of blocks mined with bitcoin classic is still 0
and i don't think number of nodes is important. the hashrate is more important because it shows the miners are behind it or not.

anyways i wish this issues becomes solved sooner than later.
6548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your favorite type of gambling? on: February 12, 2016, 07:27:22 AM
Many says that game like blackjack, poker, etc is better than game of chance like dice. I tried casino game before but I got a higher chance of winning in dice compared to casino games coz its easier to play.
poker is not profitable for all , indeed for players who are not good at poker this would be so bad for them
the sharks will literally eat their money , so playing dice or any other game would be much better
in Blackjack if you are skilled you can reduce the house edge a little bit , but even though you will lose money in the long run

I guess poker is profitable enough and you can really get a lot of money too because it is more depends on your skill rather than luck mean while dice game is pure all about luck so dice game will have higher risk than poker. Btw all gambling in a long run is always loss unless you know when to stop I guess you can profitable enough

yes, poker is based on skills so if you are good at it you can earn a lot of money with your skills. but in my opinion playing a game like poker online is very bad. because poker is a game that needs to be played face to face and around a table with actual physical cards otherwise there is no fun in playing it.
6549  Other / Archival / Re: Which one is more profitable? Skill-based games or Lucky-based games? on: February 12, 2016, 06:58:03 AM
i dont think these skill based and lucky based be profitable. you can play for the joy of playing and that is it. you dont play to reap profits,if you need profit invest into something good
but there maybe some people who want to get their income by gambling rather than investing into something else. no one knows how many but certainly there. that is why they want to analyze what is more important between need skill or luck in gambling.

Every one wants to get easy and fast money from gambling but you should know the reality of gambling is, really very hard to generate money from gambling but if you invest in some good companies than you can hope a good returns over the time.

that is the "get rich quick" nature of human beings. everybody is looking for a quick way to get rich with the minimum amount of work and they all want this to happen over night.

that is why there is a lot of casinos available and there is always a new one being created everyday. because they want to use this addiction of people and get the most amount of money out of them.
6550  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hacking on: February 12, 2016, 06:53:22 AM
This is the high risk that bitcoin is facing. Hacking is very serious issue, even there are hackers who are into teaching users how to hack and get into someones account for certain fixed amount. Once a person gets into it he does it continuously which make him master in it. So to get rid of it using offline wallets are better.

but this is not limited to bitcoin, all the online activity that one does is susceptible to hacking. this can be using bitcoin or using your credit card information. there is a lot of stories about stolen credit cards and all the money laundering that robbers do with those information like buying goods with stolen credit card and selling it for cash.
6551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are so many cryptos good for the world? Or is it better to have only a few? on: February 12, 2016, 06:49:10 AM
Hi Guys, since the day I have entered in to the world of crypto currencies, I was shocked to see the numbers of available currencies.
According to Coinmarketcap website, we now have 674 crypto currencies of various types which is more than the numbers of fiat.

Every now and then I am seeing a new currency is being introduced. I think this way we are harming the security of crypto currency sector. If this continues, government will have to intervene someday just to stop the free distribution of money (power) in to the society.

Also I see that the total crypto currency market size is 6,823,585,068 usd as per the above mentioned website and this huge amount of money is getting divided among these 674 currencies. The more people are moving to newer currencies, the lesser amount of money is getting circulated in to the established crypto currency trading, which in turn is decreasing the price of those currencies.

I think around 10-12 currencies are better that having 674 different currencies and it will not threaten the existence of crypto currency world.

What do you guys think?

not all of those alternative cryptocurrencies are good or even legit. there is a lot of dead coins, scam coins, copycats without any change. so there is in fact a small number of altcoins (less than twenty) that are active and worth mentioning.

and to answer your question, i think it is a good idea to have more than one cryptocurrency. another altcoin that is good enough that can coexist with bitcoin and offers some different features than bitcoin so the users have additional choice.

and in the future i am sure that this is going to happen one of these coins that we see or maybe a new one is going to get big enough to compete bitcoin.
6552  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Price worth of a junior bitcoin talk account? on: February 12, 2016, 06:42:13 AM
you can use Bitcointalk Forum Account Potential Activity Counter Bot to evaluate the post history of the account you have in mind. it will give all the information you need for buying/selling and account. additionally in the result summary that the bot gives you it has an estimate price which you can work with.

6553  Economy / Speculation / Re: $400 within 16/2 ? on: February 12, 2016, 06:30:50 AM
No... The Chinese are still having their holidays... Just like 12 days of Christmas, there are 15 days of Chinese New year!

yeah, that is what i was thinking. they are on holiday and as a result the amount of pressure is not going to be enough to push the price up.
what you see on their exchanger might even be because they are trying to pull a mtgox.
6554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how many pieces of BTC? on: February 12, 2016, 06:26:39 AM
why would you increase the number of bitcoins in circulation in the future? if the price of bitcoin goes up, then there is still eight decimal points that can cover the increase so you can spend low amounts ($1) and pay with decimal.
6555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bitcoins have Tax?? on: February 12, 2016, 06:20:35 AM
Since bitcoin is an internet currency that can be turn into a actual money. And Bitcoin too is known on Government but still government can't observe bitcoin that good. So I'm thinking if Bitcoin has tax??

if you are running a business like selling stuff online and receiving money in form of bitcoin, (depending on your country) you must pay taxes for your business.

you can search about problems that some users had with law enforcement because of not paying taxes and they were finned.
6556  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to get a loan with out a license on: February 12, 2016, 06:16:05 AM
Ihave a social security card my mothers maiden name my tax documents from the last year and a credit score of 798 but I can't seem to find anyone willing to give me a loan with the documents I have. Do any of you have any recommendations for websites I can go to for loans with the information I have.

Being a newbie on this forum with one post only cannot quarantine you a loan. I would advice you familiarize yourself and also participate actively so that you can qualify for a loan in the future. I would also suggest the peer to peer Bitcoin lending platforms. You might be lucky to get one there. Good luck

Being a newbie if you go into loan area your account will be shredded apart.  You will be surprised how quick negative feedback come.  You have to understand it looks kinda funny you join a forum and first thing to do out of all the possibilities is get a loan.

What is loan for? Why are you not just going to a normal place of loan such as bank?

Also when you say you do not have license it makes you appear as possible scammer with someones info the "recommendations for websites I can go to for loans with the information I have." part of it just seems odd.  Normally you would have some sort of government ID..... unless you are stealing someones identity.

being a newbie is not the reason for the negative trust you know.
the reason for negative trust is not reading the rules (the sticky posts on top of lending section). which means they ask for loan without providing collateral first.

you can be a brand new account and provide a valid collateral and get a loan without a single problem. valid collateral is not just bitcointalk accounts, you can provide an altcoin like LTC or a lot of other stuff that lenders might agree upon.
6557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you have to accept one, what will it be? on: February 12, 2016, 06:10:25 AM
it depends on my usage.
if i want to just trade it and just earn a profit from market movements then i will stick with it especially because i don't have to pay any taxes on this job lol.

but if i want to use it for buying stuff and use as a currency in general i would switch to a better altcoin with better anonymity and security.
6558  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Paper Wallets on: February 12, 2016, 05:44:08 AM
My opinion about paper wallet is save from hacker but it is dangerous from fire and human error are like forget put the wallet, rate  attack and another mistake  Grin

it is not dangerous if you have several copies of it stored in different safe places like what i did to my paper wallet Smiley

yeah, you can also laminate that paper in order to preserve it better for longer period of time. but if you are paranoid and want to keep the paper wallet safe from water, fire, acid, ... engrave it on a stainless steel.
6559  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to get a loan with out a license on: February 12, 2016, 05:42:29 AM
those documents are good for a bank in order to get a fiat loan not bitcoin, which is online anonymous loan.

if you want to get a loan in bitcoin you should provide valid collateral. nobody needs things you mentioned here. and if you want cash loan go to a bank.

6560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the dice hype? on: February 11, 2016, 09:06:42 AM
To me it sounds dice sites need more turnover so they hire some posters to bring more attention to dice.
But also to sport ets. Most of the new topics are around sports betting and dice.

I don't think dice sites need to hire more posters; they need a way to make their dice site unique. There are tons of dice sites out there, why should users play at a certain dice site? You need to come up with a good concept; then you can hire posters to attract users to your site.
As far as I know there is not many signature campaigns which advertise purely Dice sites - at this point I thing there is maybe 1(?) Dice sig campaign.
There are couple campaigns of full fledged casinos which offers multitude of gambling experience - but not Dice exclusively.

True, there aren't many that advertise purely dice sites, but the casinos being advertised offer dice; there's no difference playing dice at a site that offers only dice as opposed to a casino that offers dice.

My point was that a signature campaign alone won't make your dice site successful; you need a unique concept.

it is better for the gambling website owners to create a casino instead of a only one game (dice) site. because they will get more customers this way. although it becomes harder to manage all of them and program the games and maintain them, but having multiple games will give us the ability to choose whichever game from one place and with one bankroll easily without the need to switch to another site for a different game.
