6561  Other / Beginners & Help / Copy / Paste Rules on: April 27, 2018, 02:26:09 AM
A lot of accounts are being permanently banned for copy and pasting.   Undecided

Copying someone else's work is stealing - by taking away the page view on their site, you take away their revenue.

You can reference information on another webpage, but you should paste only a few paragraphs (minority of the article) in a Quote tag, and immediately link to the source.

Example:

Quote
I was once a devoted Catholic. From when I was a little kid playing Lego to when I was a young adult stressed out about the future, I was a proud believer.

I still remember how it was to study in a Catholic school. Every class starts and ends with a prayer. Every day at twelve noon everyone recites the Angelus. Every first Friday of the month there was a campus-wide mass. Apparently, praying was a casual habit for me back then.

6562  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Protecting Gold with Blockchain? on: April 27, 2018, 01:52:25 AM
The core idea is that every piece of gold would carry a digital signature, much like the certificate you get when buying gold.

Also, if your gold is stolen, they can't sell it since they don't have the crypto keys to transfer the owner of this item, with the help of government regulations it'll be much easier to find stolen gold.

What would create the signature in the gold?

Why couldn't I simply dissect or melt part of the gold to change the signature?

Is Global Warming true ? I read an article that global warming is an advertisement of stupid people who think they are helping a good cause give money to that people stuff into there pockets and do no research at all.

You're probably best making sandwiches at Subway and letting smarter people worry about it.  Smiley
6564  Other / Off-topic / Re: Global warming on: April 27, 2018, 01:07:53 AM
global warming is not true and earth is flat.

 Grin

That was funny!  Smiley

Enjoy the merit.
6565  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why I'm an atheist on: April 27, 2018, 01:05:22 AM

Really?  Can someone make a good point about the existence of Santa Claus?

You never know man, you never know..

Hmmm, if you ever get one, post it.  I'll find it interesting, as will millions of scientists.  Smiley

I'm not new here. I know the rules.

2 posts in, and you know everything!  Yet you ignored the basic rule of collateral....   Roll Eyes

You never know what you might hear, even the most fanatical people can sometimes make good points.

Really?  Can someone make a good point about the existence of Santa Claus?
6568  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why I'm an atheist on: April 26, 2018, 11:58:43 PM
Btw, I remember we had this same discussion a couple years back, you posted some of your old replies and I read through them
That time my beliefs were a bit shaken if I remember it correctly
I was very young back then and I was having a lot of arguements at home for not believing

I've found he is too dense to accept anything that hasn't been pounded into his brain over thousands of sundays...

Best just to put him on ignore.

You could literally tell him it is snowing outside and unless his cult told him this, he won't believe you - even if you throw a snowball.

Luckily, his kind is dying.
6569  Other / Off-topic / Re: Flat Earth on: April 26, 2018, 11:51:05 PM
I am more of a round earth guy, but I'm always interested in what the flat earthers have to say about it.

Talk to anyone that has ever claimed the earth is flat, and they will tell you they were only kidding.

Notbatman is a liar.  You can see that from the original post.  He wasn't looking for info - he was looking to troll.   Wink
6570  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin to satoshi converter on: April 26, 2018, 11:39:01 PM
Hello guys ! I'm a developer and I have created a google chrome extension which allow to convert bitcoin to satoshi instantly.

Isn't it just a simple matter of multiplication by a factor of 10?
6571  Other / Meta / Re: Threatening with "Negative Trust" for Merit Usage on: April 26, 2018, 11:24:18 PM
There are 218,169 active accounts (users) in the forum.

Sorry to post offtopic, but if you look at that image you will see BPIP has only processed 23.16% of the accounts as of your screenshot.  We were hacked about a week ago.

Edit:  I have left the OP neutral trust, as it looks as if he is abusing the system. I will change it to negative if this blatant pattern continues.

6572  Economy / Lending / Re: What is the warranty if I lend some BTC? on: April 26, 2018, 10:57:48 PM
Read about the collaterals in the stickies. The only way to stay on top of a borrower is by securing a collateral of value from the borrower. Of course for people whom you know and trust you can try doing non-collateral loans. Still its always safer to accept a collateral to give a loan.

Keep in mind no one will send you collateral directly, as you could simply disappear before sending the loan.

If you have no trade history, you need to use an escrow, which adds to the fees.  :/

Please don't spam your shit in Project Development - read the rules.

Try to be true in your reply at least.

Check this, whether you answered me or not when sharing remainder pm to you in 4 day.

You left out the forum time in that screenshot.  It could be five years old.  :/
6575  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system should be removed ! on: April 26, 2018, 02:25:00 PM
personally me think merit system should not be there and ranks should be done via there post counts and quality of its posts

That's what there is now.  You need activity (posts) and quality (merit) to rank up.  Smiley

Check Lauda's untrusted feedback, before you trust her.

Do you understand that trust is not moderated and anyone can leave it without even a valid email address?

Anyone can post that Lauda has a 12 year old lover.  No one will believe it because it's untrusted.

If a DT member (someone whose trust you can see by default) were to state the same thing, proof would be demanded or they would be removed from DT.

Reading my untrustred feedback, I really should be tortured for all long as they can keep me alive, don't you think?  Do you believe the things they write about me?

6577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 🔥🔥InterValue: The New Form of Blockchain 4.0 🔥🔥 New! on: April 26, 2018, 08:13:16 AM
Hmmm Blockchain 6.0 was just released - seems you are behind in the times.  :/
6578  Other / Serious discussion / Re: "Not equal" (the book) on: April 24, 2018, 08:26:07 PM
OP copy/paste from https://www.talk4btc.com/Thread-Not-equal-the-book?pid=574#pid574

Probably also your account, but best practise is to quote a couple paragraphs, then post a link to the original.
6579  Other / Meta / Re: Post the proof of your hacked account here on: April 24, 2018, 07:53:49 PM
This is a good idea. The mods can find all the list in one place.

This is actually a bad idea.

With the individual threads, the mods can deal with an issue and the thread will end.  Easy to see on the topic screen.

With your method, the mods have additional administration work in keeping track of the status of each complainant.  Sad

@AdolfinWolf - separate issue.  Your thread is "planning", this thread is "reaction".
6580  Other / Off-topic / Re: New planet on: April 24, 2018, 07:37:37 PM
If ever scientists discovers a new planet like earth and you will give a chance to transfer on this planet and live forever will you take the chance ? and why ?

The average citizen will not have this chance for hundreds of years.  It's too expensive right now, so only the politicians, brightest and richest will go.

Robots will be expected to do most manual labor.
