6561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Better Understanding of Bitcoin Maximalists Needed on: October 21, 2018, 04:50:47 AM
If you take the position that "all altcoins are scams" then you're probably a Bitcoin maximalist. It's basically just a term used by altcoiners to describe people like that.

Wow,I realise that I AM a bitcoin maximalist. Grin
And all altcoins are indeed scams(the altcoins that aren't scams are useless, they are used only for pump&dump). We need more bitcoin maximalists in the crypto world. This is the only way for bitcoin to start growing again.Make bitcoin great again!
6562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you agree with this list about the Top 10 blockchain pioneers? on: October 20, 2018, 12:05:07 PM
Why do we have to agree or disagree with a top 10 list?
Those people (or some of them) have huge contribution for the crypto world. Some of them made it just for the money, other wanted to change the world, but they have created something revolutionary.
They are going just fine, with or without our appreciation(well,I don't know about Satoshi).
6563  Economy / Speculation / Re: Positives in Speculation. on: October 20, 2018, 05:33:18 AM
Last days / Week I found a lot of positive news. I believe the trust is cryptos is increasing again.

ICO Regulations worldwide:

also what is interesting is; CMC added over 100 new coins over the last month.

a nice new source of news, check out this amazing tool: https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com

You have to distinquish the real positive news from the clickbait-fake-news-paid-ad-propaganda.
The only positive thing about crypto speculations,is that it looks kinda like daydreaming. You leave the real world and you stay in a comfortable fantasy, where the bitcoin price 100K USD and you are rich. Grin
6564  Economy / Economics / Re: Universal Basic Income Is Silicon Valley’s Latest Scam on: October 20, 2018, 05:28:52 AM
Universal Basic Income is absolutely deserved and will be a positive for the total economy.

-GPS, Internet, Cell Phones, Computers were all created by the government (NASA and Military) but all the profits from the eventual technologies has gone to private shareholders.  These original inventions were funded by the taxpayer

-Society benefits as a whole from all the geniuses that are stuck in terrible jobs because they need to eat and pay rent.  They can focus their time on creating.

-The crime rate will drastically be reduced.  Most crime is a result of poverty.  Introduce UBI and it will be a safer place for everyone

-UBI will get people out of abusive relationships.  A lot of people are staying with others because they rely on them financially but they also get abused verbally and physically.

With that being said there hasn't been any real experiments on UBI.  The "trials" that have been done haven't been paid a lot or haven't been permanent.  People want to see it fail so they do their best to sabotage it.

I agree with the benefits you mentioned, but who is going to pay for the universal basic income?
The big corporations and the rich people are going to run away to some low tax offshore country.
There's no perfect system that redistributes wealth in a fair way.The tax system doesn't work.
6565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OVER 100,000 ATMS NOW LET YOU BUY BITCOIN WITH A DEBIT CARD IN THE U.S on: October 20, 2018, 05:24:16 AM
100,000 bitcoin ATMs?And how much does each ATM cost?
I assume that it costs around 5000 USD or more.Do you believe that come company (or companies) will invest half a billion dollars to manifacture and deploy bitcoin ATMs across the USA?
This is a very risky investment.
6566  Economy / Gambling / Re: Lordmancer II - an MMORPG where you can earn crypto on: October 19, 2018, 12:27:49 PM
How many players are actively playing this game?
I'm asking because the liquidity on the game item market depends of the amount of players.
It would be quite annoying to wait for a few weeks, every time you want to sell something on the market. Grin
6567  Economy / Services / Re: Smart contracts,web sites,audit,forks on: October 19, 2018, 12:23:44 PM
If you have questions, ask

Would you please move this to Services?  Smiley

The control to move is at the lower left.

Why?

Because this is not a project. You are just offering your services as a developer.
6568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet safety? on: October 19, 2018, 12:19:12 PM
Yes,it's safe as long as you use strong passwords and keep your private keys.
You can change your current OS to Linux and download the Sandboxie software or a decent malware scanner program, like Malwarebytes.
6569  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone already tried Guarda Chrome extension? on: October 19, 2018, 06:20:41 AM
I've never used Chrome and I remember recently that there was some security issue with Chrome browsers and extensions.I believe that crypto related Chrome extensions are very risky to use.Any scammer can create a Chrome webstore developer account by paying a one time 5 dollar fee and code some shaddy extension.
6570  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CEX.IO additional application form. on: October 19, 2018, 06:17:14 AM
So i've account on CEX.io for few years. I have confirmed identity vertificatin (KYC).

However they ask me to fill also their application form pdf.  I uploaded it to my google drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fO7ypHnzsNVaX-W1W4uTboBUJ_2YQwoB/view?usp=sharing

They ask info about source of fund, employement, phone number of employer, facebook account etc...

Has anybody filled this?

I'm not fine with this.

This "prove your identity" thing is getting ridiculous. Those crypto exchanges will get more personal info than CIA and FBI combined.I'm glad I don't use CEX.io anymore. If some other exchange website asks for such information,I would delete my account there ASAP.
6571  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain and carbon credits market. on: October 19, 2018, 06:11:23 AM
I've seen many projects about this but it seems most of them are lacking on something. Carbon credit market is a billion dollar industry and applying blockchain will be good for both industry.

The carbon credit market isn't helping for lowering carbon emissions. It should be banned.
We could create a new coin-CARBONCOIN and the mining of that coin should be reducing carbon emissions by using green technologies, such as solar panel and wind turbines. Grin
That's just an idea...
6572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Drawback of all new cryptocoins!Confusion? on: October 19, 2018, 06:07:25 AM
People see this as a good thing that there are different cryptos popping everyday, as this means "acceptance". What I believe is that it is getting people confused! Moreover, this fuels to bitcoin negative propaganda as any sort of scam carried out by them leads to bashing of bitcoin.People don't really understand the difference. What are your thoughts?

Altcoins can't fuel the negative bitcoin propaganda. Many bitcoin users hate the altcoins.
However,we can't forbid the altcoins developers to create new coins every day.Keeping the blockchain code public and open source is a part of the crypto identity.
6573  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Still not understanding leverage on: October 18, 2018, 11:56:53 AM
Hi guys,

I just did my first leverage / margin, today but I am still clueless, this is the screenshots.

You are clueless about what? What exactly you don't understand about leverage?
The dashboard on the screenshot looks kinda all over the place. What cryptocurrency exchange platform are you using?
Leverage is like getting a loan from the crypto exchange platform to execure your orders and get bigger profits. The profits might be bigger, but the loss is bigger as well.
I advise you not to use leverage,if you don't have any experience.
6574  Economy / Economics / Re: Transferring of wealth from the impatient to the patient! on: October 18, 2018, 11:50:36 AM
It's better for any business owner (both online and offline) to be impatient,to work hard and implement innovations fast. However patience can be a virtue in long term investing.
There's a belief, amongst the majority of the btc users, that bitcoin will go to the moon for sure. What if that never happens?Usually the wealth is transferred from poor and uneducated to the rich and educated.
6575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the bitcoin public ledger is still open? on: October 18, 2018, 11:44:02 AM
What are the major reasons behind for making the bitcoin transactions public for everyone to see?
I know during the early days of bitcoin there are so many things to analyze and improve later by the developers.
After Bitcoin hit the mainstream adoption by the people around the world, then the watchful eyes started joining the race too.
Because of that now people have to use the bitcoin mixing service to cover their tracks while using bitcoin for an anonymous transaction.

Don't you think the ideology of making bitcoin transactions public is not that important anymore? any thoughts? #MakeBitcoinGreatAgain

Why do the people have to cover their tracks while using bitcoin? If they want to cover their tracks,I assume that they are using btc for something illegal, which is the main reason for haters to hate on bitcoin.
I'm against btc mixer services. If the people want anyonymous transactions, there's no problem for them to just use monero.
6576  Economy / Speculation / Re: The pain of holding bitcoin in 2017. on: October 18, 2018, 06:15:55 AM
This year 2017 has not been favourable to those that buy bitcoin in 2017, ended and are still holding.  Bitcoin is in a state that we have not expect as many investors and speculators were saying bitcoin will get to over $50,000 this year.  We should still holding as selling below the amount we buy is selling out of pain and frustration.

Do you mean the year 2018,not 2017?
2017 was great, but the people who bought bitcoins last December are screwed.I guess you mean those people, when you write about pain and frustration.Last December everyone was talking about a 50K future bitcoin price, that was quite misleading, but every trader/investors takes full responsibility for his own decisions and people should never listen to the crypto "gurus".
6577  Economy / Economics / Re: Curious. At what BTC price would you capitulate? on: October 18, 2018, 06:11:16 AM
I voted for 1BTC=1BTC (whatever that means). Grin
The bitcoin price level won't force me to leave the crypto world. The transactions fees are more likely to make me wanna leave crypto. If they become ridiculously high for some reason,I would just sell everything and move on without my coins.
6578  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Cryptocurrency be affected by a Brexit No Deal on: October 18, 2018, 06:08:02 AM
at the brexit

the $:£ wil change.. making things more expensive to import..  but.. thats the narrowminded side they want people to be afraid of
the flip side expensive to import=cheaper to export

take these examples instead of £1=$1.60 (like a few years back) becomes £1:$1
so buying a $160 item a few years ago would have cost £100
now a $160 item will cost £160

that is actually good. because we brits stop buying other peoples stuff giving them money. and we start to make our own stuff again
(reboot the industrial age of britain)

also
america wanting to buy £100 of something couple years ago would have cost them $160.
now a £100 will cost them $100

so now they will happily buy more from the uk because its cheaper.
(another reason to reboot british industry)

we now start receiving more currency flow into the UK and less currency flow leaving..

and ofcourse the main thing. instead of bitcoin being ~£4900.. as the forex changes occur that turns btc into £6400

This won't work, because Trump will change the US import tarrifs over goods manifactured in the UK. Grin
The Brexit thing is not a big deal.I don't know why people continue to focus on it.England isn't the most important country for the crypto world,I don't think it will ever become important.
6579  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DEVELOPING A WINING MINDSET IN TRADING. on: October 17, 2018, 11:15:53 AM
My tip to wannabe proffesional traders is one:
Trade only if you have a sufficient capital.
If you don't have enough capital, just get a "nine to five" job and start saving.
Without the safety net of a regular job,the amount of stress will be higher, which might lead to making wrong decisions.
6580  Economy / Economics / Re: After Budget Cuts, the IRS’ Work Against Tax Cheats Is Facing “Collapse” on: October 17, 2018, 11:09:39 AM
I guess that lower taxes for the rich means a lower amount of tax cheats, which leads to the conclusion that the IRS budget needs cuts. This is the way most of the US rebuplicans think. Grin
I bigger IRS budget doesn't mean that the IRS will start working more effectively.
