6561  Other / Meta / Re: BAN: Tasty on: August 07, 2011, 11:36:42 AM
And i can remember at least 20 of your previous posts where you insulted someone, like Mathew N. Wright, for instance.
didn't you find him annoying too?
the difference between Mathew and Tasty is that Tasty is doing it for fun, and Mathew is trying to help the community.
the problem with Mathew is that he is annoying people, while honestly trying to help.

Look, I wasn't saying he wasn't annoying, was just trying to say that insults, especially in the internet are not a very good reason to ban someone from a forum, especially from THIS forum, where not even scammers get banned Wink

Even I could be banned for insulting someone else, i bet i did it Wink Sometimes my mouth moves faster than my brain thinks  Tongue
6562  Other / Meta / Re: BAN: Tasty on: August 07, 2011, 11:16:42 AM
Banning might be too extreme.
i don't think so. he have insulted me and annoyed me many times.
a ban would be appropriate.

OMFG! Someone on the internetz insulted me...

And you insulted him also, so YOU should be banned.

And i can remember at least 20 of your previous posts where you insulted someone, like Mathew N. Wright, for instance.

Do yourself a favor and stop crying, baby...  Cool

EXAMPLES:
feel free. Smiley we have done nothing wrong!
now fuck off, stupid troll.
don't lie dude! we all know you are a stupid troll. who can use google.
fuck off.
@Matthew N. Wright
you are fucking annoying! and your posts are spam, they are all over the forum, and i don't even care about reading them anymore.
please if you really want something good to the community, STOP SPAM THE FORUM!
mybitcoin still have stolen peoples money.
^^This one, said without proof, would make the adressee rich if he sued you, in my country...
6563  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BOUNTY]- PAID - Prestashop payment processor module for bitcoin on: August 07, 2011, 09:35:43 AM
Ok. I've upgraded the PS too. Please give an address since I have not paid the pledge yet!

I suppose you can use the address that is listed on the right hand corner of the footer at WalletBit.com to send your pledge Wink

6564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin group on Facebook get taken down? on: August 06, 2011, 05:01:04 PM

You can send them an email and have them remove your account for good. I believe Lifehacker wrote an article detailing the process.

Keep drinking the kool-aid, dude... Roll Eyes
6565  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BOUNTY]- PAID - Prestashop payment processor module for bitcoin on: August 06, 2011, 12:45:09 PM
Thank you for the module. Please give me your address by pm so i can send you money. Thanks!

PS. It won't install on PrestaShop™ 1.4.0.17. I get "An error occurred while copying archive to module directory."

Didn't you say it should to work with 1.4.4? It's installed in 1.4.3, in my sites. 1.4.4 testing will come after i update my dev shop but it should work because from 1.4.3 to 1.4.4 there aren't many changes in the core that will affect modules or themes.
6566  Economy / Marketplace / PM AKORDEON, Record Label Digital Downloads Shop Accepting Bitcoin now on: August 05, 2011, 12:07:49 PM
Hi, I'm here to present a Portuguese record label called PM-AKORDEON Editora.

It is the 2nd shop in Portugal to accept Bitcoin as payment, and probably the very first record label in the world to accept Bitcoin.

You can visit the shop going to Loja de Música Online . There is english language on the website, altho not everything is translated so far, but the shop functionality is completely translated, so all Bitcoin users can do some shopping, if not for liking the music, at least to show some appreciation by the fact that we accept Bitcoin Wink

You'll need to have a WalletBit account to pay with Bitcoin, because all payments are processed by WalletBit, and all downloads are instant as soon as the payment is completed on WalletBit side.

Please visit the shop and tell us what you think!

Thanks!

Click the following link to visit us: Loja de Música Online

6568  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Payment Module for Magento on: August 05, 2011, 11:30:04 AM
Hi guys!

Magento is next on my list of Payment Modules for WalletBit, I have just finished creating a PrestaShop Payment Module which you can see in action at http://loja.pmakordeoneditora.pt/pt/

Kind regards
Kris

Hi, Kris developed the module and it is working good so far.

Still not in action on the main site as I'm still testing it in the dev site, despite the Bitcoin logo already being in the main shop.
One more hour and it will be working. Wink Kris is a very professional person and i recommend merchants to use his service, WalletBit.com .

Kris, Thanks for everything!

6569  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ebay hackers on: August 04, 2011, 10:49:04 AM
another reason paypal and ebay need to die

Don't be a moron... As much as you may not like paypal, they still ARE the best way to pay and be paid on the internet... I have 2 accounts with paypal, in different countries, with my real info, each of them moving thousands of $ in and out at all times and never had a single problem that couldn't be solved.
I don't use ebay, so i guess I'm not as exposed to scammers as people who do use ebay.

I understand that they can give you a lot of headaches, but damn, the alternatives aren't better.

Bitcoin might be that alternative, if people stop dumping them into the exchanges and start buying things with bitcoin, but it still has a long way to go.
6570  Economy / Speculation / Re: Number of users connected to MtGox Live on: August 04, 2011, 09:34:00 AM
Because when nothing was happening only 220 people were watching on average.

With 800 players involved, there is a lot more money being passed around.

The website has a counter there, so, just watch the counter, and whoever might be interested can watch it also. This thread is useless

Tell me how many persons are spending bitcoin on transactions for goods and services and I'll understand the importance of the thread. That's how you see the value of bitcoin, not by how many speculator vultures are watching a line in a mtgox site  Roll Eyes
6571  Other / Meta / Re: don't let people change usernames on: August 03, 2011, 10:38:08 AM
+1 has my vote, on the other hand I'd still be known as anonygas if I couldn't change my username, and that would suck.

Nefario

Administrators can always change usernames by request. Would be a better solution. I bet theymos would change your username in a heart beat if you asked Wink
6572  Other / Meta / Re: Rankings on: August 03, 2011, 12:28:37 AM
Make this sticky?
Is this of such an importance (besides ego ;-)?

It can be used to pull a scam also  Roll Eyes
6573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: mybitcoin - leaseweb - proposal on: August 02, 2011, 11:13:56 AM
Simple solution folks. Try to get Leaseweb to reboot it. If he was smart, he made Apache a service and it should start on boot. It probably crashed for some reason. That is about all Leaseweb can do without physically breaking into server via console, etc.

Well, if he really was smart he would have a very simple script in the server to check every 5 minutes if all essential services were running, and if not, to (re)start them Wink
Webserver administration 101, really...  Roll Eyes
6574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: mybitcoin - leaseweb - proposal on: August 02, 2011, 02:05:32 AM
I'm not sure if a backup of the server HDD is going to help if the home dir is encrypted like it should be...
And i bet leaseweb don't even have access to the server. Anybody with half brain will change the root password as soon as the server is handed out to them. At max they can reboot it...

It'll help if the owner eventually returns and is actually acting in good faith but is unavailable for some personal reason.
If the server is down for non-payment - it would not be good if the host just deleted all data for the account.

It's a long shot though. sure.

The server is not down for non-payment. Try https://mybitcoin.com:9999 and you'll see the server is up. Apache or whatever serves the web interface is down.
But if Tom Williams doesn't come back soon it can be taken down for non-payment ofcourse. If he paid it monthly it can be taken offline soon.

Let's see how Google reacts :-)

If the redirect is a 301(which i bet it is) it will keep all the ratings... No mistery.
6577  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Possible Escrow Bankruptcy Case on: August 02, 2011, 12:59:21 AM
Maybe this is a stupid question, but... why did you keep that money in mybitcoin and not in your own bitcoin client wallet?
6578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dwolla Fraud - How it happened on: July 29, 2011, 05:49:23 PM
I am 99% sure I am correct.  I know that they allowed multiple guesses and know there were people verifying their own bank accounts by guessing the deposits so they could shorten the time period required to obtain BTC.

If that's true... Talk about amateur hour...  Roll Eyes

Are you really sure about that?
6579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TradeHill - Why we no longer accept Dwolla and an open letter to Ben Milne on: July 29, 2011, 10:49:20 AM

<snip>
However, in case of phishing, banks are to reimburse their customers. I don't know how far this goes, but banks here will usually happily do that, because it's worse that their customers would lose trust in online banking.
<snip>

I know a lot of recent cases in Portugal where owners of phished accounts get the hit because the banks say that if they don't protect themselves from banking trojans and such, it's the clients responsability and not the bank... So, even if it's a EU directive it doesn't work like that in Portugal.

But yeah, Portugal is the kind of country where you should pay money transfers between euro accounts if you choose to go to the bank, being the transfers only free if the customers use their homebanking services.  Roll Eyes I guess the bankers here are the worst kind.

By the way psy, how did you find out? (ref your comment "what is this smell?")

Oh, just because my nose is very sensitive...

Paypal, a considerable ammount of money, new users(I mean both of you)

It could go both ways, you being scammed, or you trying to scam someone with the help of a fake account, but something definetely smelled Wink
