6581  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Havelock Investments - Exchange feedback/comments on: February 11, 2015, 03:02:36 AM
What's wrong with Havelock today?  First I was getting Cloudflare  connection trouble pages and now I get incomplete and sometimes blank pages.
It's been like this since early afternoon...

It has spotty days where its down and up
Give it a while and it should start functioning again later
6582  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to stop marketing calls ? idea? on: February 10, 2015, 11:37:18 PM
by not answering the telephone, i haven't for years

That or if its an automated service
Stay silent and it hangs up  Grin

Honestly all you can do is keep ignoring it till they think the number is out of service or not used or try to get unsubscribed if it has some sort of listing based on what you purchased over the last few years etc.

6584  Other / Meta / Re: Can we have a ponzi section added to the forums? on: February 10, 2015, 11:31:16 PM
Can we have a ponzi section request thread added to meta?   Cheesy

Ha-ha that one is a new spin on an old ponzi request
Theymos did mention ages ago some sort of proposal to define them
Not sure when he will get around to implementing it though

6586  Economy / Securities / Re: [Havelock] RentalStarter - A Midwest Real Estate Investment Company on: February 09, 2015, 09:41:50 PM
Got an e-mail from them in the general listing

We are now moving to a new company communications platform called Slack. Slack allows myself and the company Advisors to communicate in a chat-type environment while adding many cloud-like benefits (Spreadsheets, financial statements, and the like). This will be the new system that we use for meetings and business chat. I have sent a invitation to join the channel to every investor of record via the emails on file with havelock. If you are a shareholder and need to register another email that is not on file with Havelock, please email me (brandonschlichter@gmail.com) with your havelock registered email, your share count and the new email you want to use, and I'll send that account a invite. Please consider joining the slack, as it will be continually updated with important business information!

Our DB machine got overwhelmed. We're upgrading to a larger machine to handle it, it should take 2mn.
After that we hope it will be all good!

2 minutes to upgrade a database server?

<insert deity of choice here> bless The Cloud!

2 minutes is much in IT , it seems that everything got overwhelmed Smiley

Well on the bright side of things
Luckybit was popular enough at HH to overwhelm the servers

And 2 minutes bless the cloud indeed ^^

6590  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC | 1% on: February 09, 2015, 08:30:23 PM
Over half of Primedice daily users are now Russian (53.56%) . We will be releasing a localized chatroom for users logging in with browser language preferences set to RU, there will still be a global chatroom accessible on a separate tab for Russian users who wish to speak in English.

That's actually pretty cool, nice to know that the Russians use PD and Bitcoin.
It's the little things that are interesting

The site is too slow to be making any bets at this time, may as well be down completely.
everything is working normally for me maybe you had some issues with your internet connection or the site was ddosed

We're aware of the ddos/lag, working on sorting it out now.

Good to know

Can you ever notice a difference in page load times when there is 40 people in the chat compared to the normal 20, not sure how that is going to be for the party hour
Well there is only one way to find out
Experience it yourself although I do think that sometimes it does lag a bit

6593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Darkleaks - A new version of Wikileaks? on: February 07, 2015, 07:40:26 AM
Do you think Darkleaks will become more darker like Silk Road? Or will it stay like Wikileaks?

Darkleaks Uses Bitcoin For Their “Dark” Efforts

I have never heard of darkleaks until now
Kind of interesting after giving it a read

A WHITE HAT website that is operated through Bitcoin blockchain that will get you an access of "leaked movies, confidential secrets, software cracks and more."

Whistle ^^

6595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [URGENT] SATOSHI HAS MOVED HIS COINS on: February 06, 2015, 12:13:39 AM
i get a 404 error page too. does anyone have a copy of the article or is this fake news??

Fake news someone probably edited a coindesk url to create some fear
If Satoshi moved his coins someone would notice especially with Bitcoin Days Destroyed
That would be quite the bump
6596  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Isis burns Jordanian Pilot alive on: February 06, 2015, 12:10:24 AM
USA and Europe created civilization and progress, islam created shit thats why they are stuck in the middle ages with their shitty primitive practices.
the US and europe did not create civilization. their were many advanced societies before us.

Both correct
If I recall correctly Islam saved shit and was the most cultured while Europe was having the fun time with the Crusades and destroying the crud out of each other then somewhere along the line the positions reversed again.
6597  Other / Meta / Re: Gaming - Programming Sections on: February 06, 2015, 12:06:25 AM
There's actually been quite a bit of demanding going on for a programming section at least, but this is a Bitcoin forum after all so I'd understand there only being an off topic.

There has been quite a bit of demand going for all sort of boards the problem is that no one wants to experiment or test them out just assuming they would not be popular is not the best approach.
Can't remember the last time a new board was experimented with
6598  Other / Politics & Society / Re: DearPutin.com on: February 06, 2015, 12:04:31 AM
I think both sides are ruled by oligarchs lol. Maybe it's one side pushing for war now but it's the same kind of people ruling everywhere.

Pick your poison between the countries
Both are still corrupt just in different ways from the other although it applies to a lot of places.
6599  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin gambling , investing on: February 05, 2015, 11:59:42 PM

ISIS has a strong media arm they certainly know how to attract attention
Jordan is getting sick of their shit I can see why they went with retaliatory measures
It really is like COD
