Government claims no lethal weapons, but this image surfaced underground cause police is jailing whoever contradicts them. Sticking a handgun in your waistband is incredibly dangerous and reckless, unless he has an IWB holster that I can't see. In any case, I can't believe a uniformed officer would do that. Judging from the first death photo wound above, I would say they do use their lethal weapons.

maybe its deliberate ? not coming online because of the trolling ? make us think he ran away when he is actually trying to get the btc to pay back ?
Agree, the loan to me isn't due until 2/29/12 so he has plenty of time to show up and repay I've lent to him almost from the beginning and although he has a gambling problem, he does seem trustworthy and upfront about his dealings. Not that kind of person to ditch his loans so to say.

This is why I stay put and never lend people more then they've repaid in a single time. Works every time and I've not got scammed (yet!)
That does lead to a chicken and egg problem though for new borrowers. Peter, That is. However, given the amount of btc scammed in the past few months, I personally wouldn't lend any amount of money without any collateral, either in rep or something for it.

Just got out of class on my way to gym (on my phone) will send repayment when I get home. Cheers
What the hell was this? Why write this and then vanish - why not just vanish? This post serves no purpose unless this is some kind of scam/prank. Has anyone checked over at SA to see if they are laughing their asses of over there? Or, has anyone checked to see if anyone died on that day in some freak weight lifting accident? Looking back now at his entire posting history I see some obvious bad signs. Here is what I learned: I did not read his entire post history becaues he was already at 123 posts and a full member - I got lazy and assumed he had been around a while. You can bet your bottom BTC that from now on I will at least check the customers profile to get their first post date, even if I don't read every single post. 123 posts in that short of a time is what got me. Also, I got caught up in his story. He was offering to help someone out, someone we all know, this would also help out some of the lenders, blah, blah, blah, bs, bs, bs. Once others jumped on the band wagon and started loaning I got lazy and figured that they had done the homework. Valuable (and expensive) leasons learned. Edit: And then I found this: pass, this OP only has 1-liner posts, only for a few weeks since account creation up until this loan request. As if he's trying to get a high post count with little effort. I got scammed by someone who did that before.
How the heck did I miss this post? Double Doh. This is why I stay put and never lend people more then they've repaid in a single time. Works every time and I've not got scammed (yet!)

If they really start hashing, I for one would be happy as Christmas was early. The value of bitcoin would soar, and our fiat would be backed with something better. If they wanted to take down bitcoin, they would go the painless way by enactif laws and whatnot, not by minig together.

I believe there are some miners out there that can restart your crashed gpu:s, but have you guys had it working as promised?
Phoenix and cgminer both are supposed to support this, but I'm again and again disappointed to see the miners hang. Phoenix has made some progress lately though, the whole program doesn't freeze like before. It shows new work pushed and such notifications.
win 7 x64 fully water cooled xfx5870v2@955/300 ~440Mhash. temps on shaders 54-56c. no idea of power side temps. 700w be quiet! e9 PSU
My miner crashes at least once per day... too high clocks? what gives? Any way to see the power temps on non-ref cards like this?
My 5850s run at 960/300 ~ 410Mhashes each, whereas my 5870 run at 950/300 ~ 440Mhashes too with temps at 75 +- C (can't be helped as the ambient temps are like 35 here). I use a customized version of aolcbf to reboot my cards daily as they crash a couple of times daily, and it's been working perfectly so far. My miners and Trixx autostart on every restart, hence if my rig BSODs it would restart my miners easily.

As you may already know reCaptcha uses that info you provide to correct scanned books/documents. You do the work for free. Those documents will eventually drive traffic to them. I heard they may start paying in BTC for work submitted. Does anyone know more?
I would like to make a captcha that helps to solve a hash. I'm not sure if it will work yet.
How does solving captcha's solve a hash?

Bitcoins to prepaid visa = easy. Other way round = hard as you can reverse the transaction easily. For most almost 1 to 1 transactions you'll need more rep before people trust you. Else, use virworx (the SL exchanger) to get from SL to bitcoins, but with some fees incurred. There might be other ways I'm not aware of (never did that before), so someone may give a better way.

What happened? Are you still at the gym? Payments? Probably had to go tanning and do laundry bro. Or a nap in that case.

Another default? I don't get the impression that this guy is a scammer (watch me be proved wrong) but damn, it's not cool to be careless about this stuff and make people sit around wondering if they got screwed. Same here. He would be more credible if he could give timely updates, especially on the wake of the recent scammers.

This question just crossed my mind:
The exchanges make money from trading commission, not by lending out customer fund, right? they are not fractional reserve banks, correct?
Then why can't them keep each customer's fund with the same address? A customer's account balance will always match balance of that address, giving them confidence knowing the fund is there -- Mybitcoin and MFGlobal fiasco should make everyone nervous.
Does any exchange actually do this??
Most exchanges take a huge chunk of their btc offline in paper wallets. Hence it wouldn't be pretty if they have to generate like one address for each person and take it offline at once. Plus using a new address for each transaction enables the exchange to determine exactly how many bitcoins are deposited per transaction.
