6581  Economy / Economics / Re: When is the right time to buy bitcoin ? on: October 24, 2017, 09:34:46 AM
After the recent news re. BTC China and regulators crackdown on cryptocurrency trading, we all know which direction bitcoin and alt coins are currently heading. I wish to buy Bitcoin and Altcoin when they hit the floor, but i am unsure of when the right time is to enter?

I can say that this is the right time to invest to Bitcoin because its market value continues to rise as of this moment. It is also necessary to wait until its market value drop, but it will surely take long time as being said that the pump is continuous. Investing to it will still yield to profit as the investment go along with the increase od its value.
6582  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reasons Why Bitcoin Price Drops on: October 22, 2017, 11:00:39 PM
I would like to know your opinion on what factors cause the value of Bitcoin to drop. A brief explanation helps.
Bitcoin's market value surely is dependent on the demand that it is having from the market. So the factor that makes its market value to fall is probably a change of its demand in the market. The law of supply and demand is also applicable with this. Such that as the demand increases, its marker value is getting more expensive.
6583  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we totally eliminate all the banks in this world? on: October 22, 2017, 03:38:11 PM
What is the future of cryptocurrencies when all the government need to do is to close the bank accounts of businesses or exchange?

https://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-businesses-face-bank-account-closures-in-singapore/
It's a big NO. First of all, it is not the goal of Bitcoin and also, Banks are fucntioning for many years. Given the fact that Banks are the strongest institution which are strongly supported by each of the Government in every country. Also, cryptocirrency including Bitcoin haven't still establish full trust of most of the countries.
6584  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think ? Bitcoin is going to hit big value soon like 7000$ and more ? on: October 22, 2017, 02:13:20 PM
What do you think ? Bitcoin is going to hit big value soon like 7000$ and more ?

Yup, and that's for sure. Bitcoin's value in the market is rising and getting more expensive. It is now priced higher than 6000$ and maybe before this month end, it will be 6500$. But reaching a value of 7000$ and more would, I think, happen in December, once the hardfork is done and if it will be successful because it will contribute on the increase of its market value.
6585  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Still Go Up? on: October 22, 2017, 12:51:45 PM
Now that it's been proven there are many other alternatives to Bitcoin which have advantages such as quicker transactions, smaller fees, and higher mining profitability, I don't see a reason to think Bitcoin will get to $10,000.

Will the price of Bitcoin still go up? It seems so outdated when compared to its competitors.
I think it will still increase before this year end, maybe as high as 7500$ only if the hardfork will be successful because it will be a huge factor on the increase of its value just like the recent one. At this moment, dumps and pumps are taking place respectively, and maybe it is because of the incoming hardfork. After the hardfork, its value will surely rise. We just need to patiently wait for it.
6586  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is an asset or currency. on: October 22, 2017, 09:49:49 AM
I hear from many sources that btc is used for trading much more than it is for goods and services; doesn't that make it an asset ??
and is that necessarily a bad thing ?? and what can we do about it as a community ??
It is more of a currency since cryptocurrency is a digital currency. Bitcoin is just not yet legal to most country so there are still people that can't use it as a currency, directly. Those who are in those countries where it is not yet legal, needa to convert Bitcoin to fiat in order to make use of it. But more countries are now making it legal. And in the future, it will be legal worldwide that will make it a total currency.
6587  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices rise high on: October 22, 2017, 02:07:06 AM
Well, I think it is. People are now expecting a better income from Bitcoin than their job since it is getting more expensive. But still, leaving their job is a bad decision. Bitcoin is still volatile, so no one knows until when will it be this profitable. And if there'll be a continuous declines on its value, those who quitted their jobs will be in trouble. So what's better is to do both at the same time to avoid problems like this to happen.
6588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICO would you suggest for October? on: October 21, 2017, 10:06:28 PM
I am seeing a lot of new ICO's.. even Jesus coin (omg thats an insult)

What do you think?
This month is ending but lots of ICOs appeared that are definitely good. I know a few such as airtoken and eidoo. These are ICOs that reached their hardcaps during their token sale in no time. This proves that these ICOs are good to succeed reaching each of their hardcaps and given the fact that there are only few ICOs to achieve it.
6589  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin can hit 7000$ before end of this year on: October 21, 2017, 12:52:29 PM
Can bitcoin reach 7000$ before December?
What do you think?
I think it will.
There's a huge possibility that it will be able to reach 7000, but before this year end. Its value is indeed continuously increasing but still, a hardfork is approaching which means, backdrops are also expected so the increase will not be continuous. If the hardfork will be successful, things might change, making Bitcoin to reach 7000 or more before december or before this year end.
6590  Economy / Economics / Re: When to buy and sell bitcoin on: October 21, 2017, 08:38:41 AM
When is the best time to buy bitcoin and when do you think is the best time to sell?
I think its a great time to buy now but when is a good time to sell (if you have any idea please share)
I think this is the right time to buy Bitcoin. Given the fact that there'll be another hardfork in November, and if it will be successful, the market value of Bitcoin will be more expensive before this year end. And even at this early moment, its market value is already increasing and if you'll buy right now and hold, your profit will go along with the increase of its market value, meaning, huge profit to be earned.
6591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: October 21, 2017, 08:05:55 AM

What do you like best about bitcoin?
Decentralization, transparency or easier to move?
Or just it makes you look cool? Wink
What I like best in Bitcoin is being a good source of income. Bitcoin is profitable in lots of aspects. There are different ways to earn Bitcoin as well as to earn profit from it. Its market value is getting more expensive because it is having a high market demand. As it is being more expensive, the profit that its users and investors will earn are also increasing.
6592  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I stop Buying BTC? on: October 21, 2017, 03:20:47 AM
Should I stop buying BTC for above market value or should I start paying the listed price? I support Bitcoin and still pay 5k a BTC does anyone see bitcoin going back up?
If your aim is to earn huge profit, you better not stop buying Bitcoin. Indeed, it is now more exoensive than before but still, its market value is continuously increasing. Buying at this point and storinfg for a period of time will result into huge profit, ofcourse. Waiting for the dumps before buying will surely take time. What is better is to buy at this moment and to go along with the increase.
6593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are holding Bitcoin? on: October 21, 2017, 01:23:49 AM
What makes people compel to hold the bitcoin in this critical situation? What are they waiting for? Any good reason?
They are holding during the backdrops for the simple reason that they are awared of Bitcoin's volatility. They know that it is normal for its value to sometimes fall and they also know that it will eventually increase. Holding will make them avoid losing money and making them earn huge profit. And at this point, wherein the value of Bitcoin is getting more expensive, those who held during the backdrops will surely earn huge profit.
6594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: October 15, 2017, 02:49:16 AM
is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? anyhow this money sits in the bank and do nothing for!
It really is, especially if you are talking about "all" of your money since Bitcoin is volatile and not yet legal to most of the countries. This also means that there'll be a limit on using it as a currency. Maybe, it would be a better idea if you'll only invest half of it. Indeed Bitcoin's market value is continuously increasing as years are passing by, but still, it is an opensource system and volatile which are risk factors.
6595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins are a joke, only bitcoin matters! on: October 10, 2017, 11:43:10 PM
Guys, I own 6 different alcoins and during the dip i followed them all go down as the bitcoin was losing in value.  Then yesterday when things started stabilising they were all without any exception all rising in value as the bitcoin raised too. So if bitcoin is driving all prices up and down, what's the point of playing with altcoins if no matter what techonology they use and what team stands behind them they ll just follow the bitcoin lead? I am not sure about you but this last situation depressed me a lot, and I would love to read your opinion.
That's definitely untrue. Altcoins are best known for short term investments. Bitcoin indeed, has a much larger markwt value compared to most of altcoins but the rate of the increase on the market value of altcoins is way faster that makes it good for short term investment. ETH and PBT are two good examples. PBT have overtaken the price of Bitcoin lately, while Etherium's value is consistently increasing. And also, altcoins ahas also effect on the value of Bitcoin so it can't be considered as nothing.
6596  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin price is $10.000, will fiat be worthless? on: October 10, 2017, 10:11:12 PM
In one of the topics I read "If bitcoin will reach $10.000, fiat currency has become worthless"
Do you agree with this statement?
Nope. Fiat or regular curency won't be worthless just because Bitcoin will have a high market value because of the reason that Bitcoin is not yet legal to most of the countries and to the countries where it is not yet legal, they won't be making use of its so they'll still stick with fiat. Also, Fiat is still used longer than Bitcoin so people are used to fiat. Fiat is alsp used to Buy Bitcoin or inveat to it. So I think it won't be wortgless for such reason.
6597  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price BTC after SegWit2x? on: October 10, 2017, 02:49:13 PM
How think what price BTC will be after SegWit2x?

I think $6000

I'm said August 08 that BTC price after segwit will be $4500, I'm right Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2073830.msg20718415#msg20718415
If the segwit2x will be as successful or maybe even more successful than the recent one which happened last month of August, the market value could reach 6000 as you've said before this year ends. I agree with you because it is realitic to hear. I think its impossible for Bitcoi  to reach 10000 before this year end even if the hardfork will be successful, 6k is close to reality. Let's just hope that the fork will be in favor or succeaful for Bitcoin.
6598  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are some disadvantages of BTC? on: October 10, 2017, 02:11:31 PM
We all know the advantages of BTC, but what are some of the disadvantages??
I think the biggest disadvantage of Bitcoin is its volatility and being not legal to most of the countries. Its market value changes from time to time which is also the risk on investing to it such that there are times that its value becomes low. And also, it is not yet legal to most of the countries which is a disadvantage of being a currency. But maybe in the future it will be legal to worldwide and will also result to bitcoin being less volatile.
6599  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 by 2018 is looking now like a possibility on: October 10, 2017, 03:04:23 AM
More and more and more actors from the NYC agreement are dropping like flies. Now we have BTCC out of the agreement. Along with f2pool, this is a big chunk of hashrate that segwit2x lost. Bitfury will also potentially not be mining segwit2x. This would be the nail in the coffin, not even considering Bitcoin Core 0.15 is comming out soon which everyone will upgrade to.

With segwit2x out of the picture, we can hit $10,000 easily during 2018, so hold on to your coins and stop falling for the government ban nonsense.
I agree. Factors that will help this thing to happen is the demand that is continuously increasing and the approaching hardfork in November. Since the demand of Bitcoin in the market is increasing, its market value is getting more expensive. There are possibilities that backdrops will take place as the fork is getting near. But as you've said the best thing to do is to hold and witness how Bitcoin reach 10000 dollars next year or maybe before this year end if possible.
6600  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Back to 5000 Dollars ? on: October 10, 2017, 02:17:06 AM
the probability of hitting Bitcoin price again at 5000 dollars is it close enough to hit this coming week ?
It seems that the probability of Bitcoin reaching 5000$ this week is high. That's good to know and is something to look forward with knowing that Bitcoin suffered from a huge downfall and still managed to recover. Its market value as of this moment is continuously rising.  And it is possible that before the hardfork in November, it will be priced 5000 or higher.
