661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to Identify Good Airdrops ?? on: February 24, 2019, 06:52:01 AM
good airdrops are very rare to find as the airdrop features have now become the trendy thing in the community that people consider as mandatory. although it is always required to enable a particular token currency go round the globe and become accepted, it is also different when it comes to selection of the best to participate in.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALL Initial Coin Offerings are Trash on: February 23, 2019, 08:42:17 AM
ICOs are gradually phasing off as a result of the scam that people have decided to perpetrate through the ICO process and then no trace is ever discovered hence the need for ICO to be trashed. what is trendy now is the IEO and also the STO but personally i prefer IEO as they give more confidence to the investors.
663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GET OUT WHEN YOU CAN!!OR STAY AND CRY! on: February 18, 2019, 05:43:54 PM
sadly it is over friends!!!but of course too hard to believe!

well it is obvious most people are yet to comprehend certain technological innovations as they tend to see it as a money making venture rather than see it as a solution to a challenge that has been around and almost ignored because there was no better preferences. patience is a virtue for those who hold.
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can we close that chapter now and move on? on: February 18, 2019, 05:41:30 PM
for everyone who has seen the act of the market as a major topic to converse or dialogue about in an unwelcoming way that i may not have approved of, i will always tell them to consider taking a different topic as i do not discuss innovative technological ideas such as blockchain technology with those who do not see reason with it
665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New cryptos in the future? on: February 18, 2019, 05:35:49 PM
i just saw on facebook where my god friend toju kaka said that the most projects that will shake the blockchain space positively are not yet on coinmarketcap.com but i will rephrase the statement in here and it is thus 'the cryptocurrency projects that will change people's perspective about the blockchain space is not yet into the blockchain technology
666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bill gates says cryptocurrency is bad on: February 18, 2019, 05:16:27 PM
it is normal for people to make statements that indicts what things they hardly comprehend, irrespective of what players they are and the fields in which they handle sensitive positions. as much as they are key opinion leaders (kol) in the technological space, it is also known that other people have also tested and experienced first hand the efficiency of the technology
667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the current situation on the market? on: February 18, 2019, 05:13:48 PM
The current market situation has been a major turn around against the thoughts of those who are key players and also those who consider as whales in the industry. but i surely know that it will be in the bull run in a short while. it is normal for good things to always go through refining processes.
668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto currency unpredictability on: February 18, 2019, 05:11:58 PM
the volatility of the cryptocurrency space has spoken for itself. There is no prediction in the cryptocurrency space that is 100 percent perfect and even though it comes through, there were still odds that it may not come through. That simply explains why people always give the clause that such predictions are not always financial advice.
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I stop using some exchanges on: February 18, 2019, 05:07:26 PM
i for one have stopped using loads of exchangers  for a long time now as it has been less of the expected performance compared to the standard of performance of exchangers. it is better and manageable when it is a centralised exchanger compared to when it becomes a decentralised exchanger as most of the DEX do not have security features.
670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Neo to surpass Eth on: February 18, 2019, 05:05:13 PM
much respect to all altcoins and the project team and their developers but from my own perspective, i do not consider NEO a worthy competition for the ethereum blockchain as the massive adoption of the project called ethereum speaks for itself greatly and makes it the head of its association since its the father and first position or innovator of the smart contract feature.
671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy on ICO or buy after being exchanged? on: February 18, 2019, 05:01:24 PM
from the little experience gathered over a period of years in the ICO and project promotion phase and after it enlists in an exchanger, the best idea is to buy the tokens when it gets to the exchanger as the price gets to reduce too and makes a better buy opportunity to the prospective investors. just my opinion though.
672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 12 Best Cryptocurrencies for Long-Term Investment [2019 Edition] on: February 18, 2019, 04:53:24 PM
the idea of having a total number of cryptocurrency and sending them across as the best to invest on is not really an ideal situation even though there is a disclaimer that states that it is not a financial advice, but then it is best to do  a personal research and also study on coins that have good prospects based on what you understand
673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Upcoming Constantinople will not have negative security implications. on: February 18, 2019, 04:48:38 PM
i believe the new update and upgrade of the ethereum blockchain which is tagged constantinople is not having any issues, whether it be security or any other since they are already aware of the recent developmental trends in the space. it gives a better approach to blockchain related transactions
674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: newbies since 2017 bullrun needs to learn on: February 18, 2019, 04:46:19 PM
the newbies in the space since 2017 have loads of things to learn because if they are termed newbies, that means that they have loads of things they don't easily get along with. it is normal for people to ask questions when they come into any space for the first time but having stayed for more than six months they are supposed to be confident enough not to ask questions as freshers.
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should invest in Azbit? on: February 17, 2019, 04:11:27 PM
we have gone past the stage where we use the names of big whales in the industry to attract people to invest in projects as it is not the major point of consideration and also it has no impact or effect in the outcome of the project in the long run when things decide not to go the way it was supposed to. do a more analytical research before investing anything
676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin matured as a currency? on: February 10, 2019, 11:37:00 PM
In 2017/2018 with the sharp increase in the price to the ATH of $18 000+, people were saying that Bitcoin can never be a currency with that kind of fluctuation and volatility in the price.

In the 3rd & 4th quater of 2018 up to Jan 2019, we have experienced a correction from that ATH and we are seeing much less volatility in the price. <The price hovering between $3500 and $4000>

Would you say that Bitcoin has shed it's speculator skin and emerged as a true currency, after this correction? I think with most of  the speculators left the Bitcoin scene in the last year or so and Bitcoin has truly transformed into a community of people who are more interested in the technology and using the technology as a currency. <This explains the stable price>  Huh

Let's discuss, because I am very curious in what you opinions are about this.

the cryptography of the blockchain technology has never been heard of to be faulty in anyway and the challenges arising in the technological space has never been pointed to as a fault from the design of the blockchain, that is to tell you that the bitcoin is very matured enough to handle the capacity of transaction and its application indifferent section of spheres
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does block size harm decentralization? on: February 10, 2019, 11:31:20 PM
From what I understand, a larger block size would mean more transactions (or data in general) can be included in each block effectively increasing the number of transactions the network can handle in a finite time frame (at least 1 block long). Consequently, the size of the blockchain will increase at a greater rate since more data is being added everytime a block is accepted. Eventually, this would mean the blockchain would be too large to store so only dedicated companies will be able to have full nodes, resulting in the centralization of mining.

Wouldn't that happen eventually anyway? Sure it'll take longer but unless the chain is pruned how will people be able to store it?

The only people running full nodes now are enthusiasts who like verifying everything themselves (though it's getting harder since the blockchain is already pretty big), pool operators, and mining farms or services like NiceHash/Blockchain.com

This is not a post in support of a change in block size or for sidechains, I'm not qualified to take a side in that debate at all lol. What are the consequences of a block size increase and more specifically how it would be harmful for bitcoin's decentralization?

i do not see it as a threat to decentralisation, the larger the size of the block the more data it accumulates or stores and that has little to do with the miners as it works with the design of the blockchain and and miners only works with the conditions of the blockchain design and whatever comes is within the network design so little of it only concerns the miners.
678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to restart the blockchain? on: February 10, 2019, 11:27:01 PM
i do not consider it possible to restart a blockchain neither do i consider it possible to restart the entirety of the blockchain technological space. it is not a database system where data acquired can be modified nor deleted or even copied so i am very positive about the impossibilities in restarting a blockchain or any blockchain.
679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your most common uses for cryptocurrencies? on: February 10, 2019, 11:22:32 PM
the use of cryptocurrencies cuts across different spheres as long as it has an online presence or a digitised system of payment structure. it has been noted that most of the online transactions today are carried out using the cryptocurrency framework and i happen to have all my online transaction within the blockchain space and non other
680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & Banks on: February 10, 2019, 11:19:25 PM
the banks and bitcoins in my own perspective i will say they are not best of friends at all since they do not work collaboratively and such will bring about a degree of non compliance as they do not have what connects them as there is no room for the bank in the blockchain technological design and there is non to be considered anytime soon.
