661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BTER.com: ETH deposit never came through.. Any people with same experience? on: August 08, 2017, 02:54:42 PM
I never had such experience with them before. Did you track the next direction where the money went next on Etherscan?

Yes I can see it on etherscan but not on my account.

Bter.com works very well for me , I have the same address every time I deposit.

Always the same address?
Then I really don't know what I did (and how I could copied another address...) because the address on my bter wallet is not the address I sent ether to..

Anyway, thanks for your quick replies, looks like I'm the one responsible..

There are malicious apps that changes the address from clipboard to another one, you should check your PC, this may be the case and may lead to another loss, be careful.

Also, always double check the address when you send coins, or triple check, losing money so irresponsibly is not excusable for many times in a row.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you dumped your BCC yet? on: August 08, 2017, 09:42:10 AM
Why dump one of the most decentralized and fairly distributed coin? It's stupid to dump now.

well eth came out pretty nice compared to etc, the people will decide which one is better.

Why compare those centralized shitcoins with our coins?
663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can we please get back a little bit of the original ideology of crypto. on: August 08, 2017, 09:13:43 AM
The points you are making are good ones, and the whole value crypto gained in the beginning was from such ideals as having financial freedom, decentralized, be your own bank, access your money from any point of the world.

Those are fundamentals and those will never change, that is why Bitcoin will always have value. 1 BTC will be 1 BTC. Always.

Why bother with fiat when with 1 second bar scan I can buy a coffee or a boat. Even an island. Crypto is awesome.

665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Siacoin long? on: August 07, 2017, 05:25:31 PM
If you guys are holders, I recommend 3 things:

1. Download the Sia client, download the blockchain.
2. Become a host. Offer up storage to gain more Sia over time.
3. Become a renter. Actually use other hosts.

This network activity will attract other people, help your Sia rank, and cause this nice cycle to begin.
I will back this up as well
666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: -- The Riddle of the Twin Brothers - Who Were, Are and Will Rule the World! on: August 07, 2017, 05:08:33 PM
Holy shit. I just heard that Vlad was arrested in Romania. Anybody else heard the same thing?

No and shut up please thanks. Because of you this thread has become broken. It was a great read before.

Yes, and this thread is NOT broken and still a great read.

BTW, I have proof as soon as somebody close to Vlad comes forward and requests it.
Okay that was unexpected.

Can we know at least with what is related his arrest? My curiosity will kill me someday.

Vlad was arrested for crimes against humanity or for eating a kosher pickle on a Wednesday.

Translated: Vlad wasn't arrested. I was tryin' to trick him into posting after he said he'll be outta pocket for a couple weeks. Dude didn't bite.  Cry If he would've have replied, I was prepared to cite https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2063529.0 where BTC-e used the word 'arrested' incorrectly, meaning to say served. Ergo, Vlad was served.

Apologies to all.

Vlad seems to be a good guy and I love having fun with him.

Bruno
Thank you for clarifying, I did enjoy all this topic so was a  bit surprised.

Good thing this was just a poke. Smiley

671  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-E Down since 25.07.2017 on: July 26, 2017, 04:29:33 PM
If they really are down due to moneylaundering concerns it will be a serious blow to bitcoin.

We survived Mt.Gox.

Nothing can stop us, 1 BTC will always be 1 BTC (at least). Cheesy
672  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-E Down since 25.07.2017 on: July 26, 2017, 04:18:44 PM
Confirmed, he is indeed a key man from BTC-E.
The time when doing illegal stuff online with crypto is coming to an end, it appears. I have also read that this man was laundering the money from Mt.Gox.

"As for where the criminals are cashing out, 95 per cent of ransom funds were cashed out at the Russian exchange BTC-E. That chimes with the indication that the biggest ransomware types are the produce of the biggest organized criminal gangs working out of Russia."

680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10 ETH or 1 BTC? on: July 25, 2017, 09:30:29 AM
Why ETH? Just buy some nice decentralized crypto's like BTC, LTC, why bother with eth?

You can grab some SIA as well, pretty nice too.
