As stated in our last Q&A post, we have been looking into different blockchain solutions lately. We searched for blockchain eco-system, which has same possibilities as Ethereum that we are currently using. We came to an understanding that NEM brings us the required functionality and therefor Agrello will implement their blockchain for selected future projects.

NEM fills our current requirements and gives us additional extended possibilities in comparison to Ethereum. Our main reasons for implementing NEM was the value of money and transaction speed. Ethereum transactions are not always the best choice, because of pricing and time of execution. At the end of the year, CryptoKitties (a game based on Ethereum) was a reason for sixfold increase in pending transactions on Ethereum. We increased transaction price, but it still took some time to be published. Transaction in NEM has fixed price and generally publishing them takes less time. NEM also supports not only hex-messages but also string message and encoded message.

Furthermore, now we are able to use different blockchain solutions and we can easily switch back for Ethereum or start to use another blockchain, this makes our system less dependent on a single blockchain solution. Our first project supported by NEM will be NordCoin. We have been working with their team for a while now and soon we will share their story with all of you.

We are going to participate in Chainges conference as a partner of NEM in Amsterdam. Hando Rand, CEO will present Agrello ID and signature solution after Kristof Van de Reck Interim President, NEM.io Foundation. With our presentation, we aim to tell a story about Agrello ID and show how our solution can improve the way we manage legal matters in a new and more efficient way using blockchain.

The Horizon Pre-ICO Will Soon Be Live

Horizon Communications is a startup based in the country of Bermuda. The company plans to deploy state-of-the-art telecommunications equipment in the Caribbean and Central America, with an ambitious drive of spreading their services worldwide. Their aim is to provide high speed internet services to replace obsolete technology that is easily disrupted by natural disasters.

The Horizon ICO is set to introduce a unique twist to crowdfunding. The company would be giving investors of the token a sort of equity in the business as well as a buy back clause as found in the whitepaper. This means that in future, all holders of the token will have the option of selling it back to the company. This was incentivized by the company’s confidence that the token will be worth much more than it is presently valued.

The company’s president, Mr Gilbert Darrell recently announced that the Horizon pre-ICO will soon be live. The company has been working round the clock to ensure a seamless delivery for the presale. One of the collaborations they have made is the integration of Coingate, a cryptocurrency processor that supports up to fifty digital currencies including bitcoin and ether.  Mr Darrell said that with Coingate, non techie investors would be able to purchase the Horizon token easily since the platform is user friendly.

With the Horizon ICO launch in view, it ushers in a new era for the people of Bermuda and the Caribbean who have been beleaguered by slow internet services due to ageing and outdated equipments. It also heralds a class of cryptocurrency participation that gives investors more than a token, but an insured equity in the business with the buyback clause. Investors would have opportunity of building a portfolio of valuable crypto asset while supporting a company that solves real problem facing everyday people in a region.

One phenomenon that seemed to have been absent in many ICOs was the purpose meeting aspirations to solve the need of people. It is obvious that aside moving cryptocurrencies around, many projects rarely solve problems bedeviling people. This is the reason Horizon vision has stood out among crypto enthusiast and why there are eager pool of investors awaiting the ICO launch.

As the CEO of PolicyPal Network, I have been working on revamping the insurance industry for the past 2 years and I am truly passionate to solve the issues in this industry. I strongly believe in my team and we are on track with our product development.

Apart from Qryptos which has been the first to support our token listing, we have also submitted listing applications to several other preferred exchanges which are still reviewing our applications. Due to the strong feedback we received from the community, I have made the decision to keep the tokens locked until we have at least 2 preferred exchanges approve PAL tokens for listings.

Developers Blog 1

Welcome to the first part of our developer’s blog! Here our IT team will post weekly updates about developing the product so everyone can follow our progress. But first, let us remind you what World Wi-Fi is all about.

There are three types of users in the system, according to the project business model. Owners of private routers can distribute free internet and receive rewards for advertising impressions by connecting to World Wi-Fi. Advertisers get their target audience and thus optimize their advertising costs. Regular users get access to free internet by viewing a short ad.

The system is developed with the help of Big Data technology, which is used to collect and analyze non-personified user activity data. Thanks to this technology, advertisers can show their advertising to those who can actually find it interesting. The use of a blockchain technology makes transactions between process participants fast and cheap, while smart contracts guarantee security for all the parties involved.

In this blog, developers headed by Ilya Yashin (CEO of World Wi-Fi), will talk about how the project is progressing and what has already been done. The work on the World Wi-Fi system has been underway since mid-2017 and now the network is being tested. We will be updating the program code on Github, use this link to familiarize yourself with it.

The entire architecture of the project is written with the object-oriented JavaScript language. The server-side portion is written with Node JS. This is a programming platform based on V8 engine (it translates JavaScript into the machine language code), which transforms a narrow focus specialized JavaScript into the universal programming language.

The visual part is written with the language React JS, which is a library for the interface development created by Facebook.

First part of the code presented on Github is dedicated to authentication and authorization of users of World Wi-Fi system. For user’s maximum convenience, a possibility of registration and login through accounts of social networks Google, Facebook and VK has been provided.

Blockchain-platform World Wi-Fi will unite advertisers, owners of routers and internet users in a single network. Three types of accounts with different functionality will be created to organize the work of the whole system:

1. Advertiser: a user can create advertising campaigns and set their parameters. View statistics, manage employee accounts, pay bills, and change the profile.

2. Advertisement distributor (Wi-Fi router owner): a user has access only to the list of his Wi-Fi points and to all operations for their management. Three interfaces that interact with the system are available as well: Router interface, WiFi-identification interface and personal account.

3. Internet User: Internet users have to login on Hotspot. Only the Wi-Fi identification interface and Internet access are available here.

Next week the program code for the customizer of advertising campaigns will be presented, and beta testing carried out.

A key piece of the Kin mission is rewarding the digital contributors who make communities stronger. This week, we took that mission IRL.
Our first Kin Ambassadors event brought 28 top contributors from the Kin community together in NYC. We flew attendees in from from 13 different countries to hear from leaders across our organization — spanning product, partnerships, engineering, and community teams — about our progress and roadmap. (With a few special guest speakers, too.)
