661  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you guys feel about the Boeing 737 MAX? on: March 27, 2019, 01:50:42 PM
I don't know much details about the current situation but I remember that back in 2005 Boeing had some serious financial problems and in one day it was uncovered that their engineer died from peritonitis after anal sex with a horse.
Maybe now people should dig dipper and check what their engineers are doing today?
662  Other / Politics & Society / Re: On the importance for nazis, commies and all extremists to stop fighting on: March 27, 2019, 01:44:02 PM
My friend visited Paris 3 times in different years and every time something went wrong because he faced different protests. France has always been one of the most leftist countries in EU. It seems to be a long French tradition to come out to the streets and scream different bullshit. Now it is pretty clear that you faced a political crisis.
Your current government is obviously bad but it is definetely a bad idea to support the opposite faction that would like to see you dead / in jail in case they get power in their hands. That's how it often happens after revolutions.

663  Other / Politics & Society / Re: DO YOU STILL PARTICIPATE IN FUNDRAISING AND DONATIONS? on: March 27, 2019, 01:26:04 PM
If you are talking about donation-based coins then it is an obvious scam.
In other cases even established charity organizations are not really helping people. I mean it is always better for poor people to get something from you instead of nothing but all efforts are worthless until you are not fight the reason of their poverty.
664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoiners now labelled as Right-wing extremists! LoL on: March 27, 2019, 01:21:02 PM
Just take a look at the Politics & Society sub-forum. The orientation was centrist to moderate-right until a few years back, but now most of the users are those with leftist and far-leftist ideology. The moderator is also far-left, and constantly deletes any post that is even remotely to the right-wing. The media need to check their facts before generalizing more than 100 million people!!!
Hmm... What if someone start saying in media that Bitcoin is re-distributing wealth to poor people, even if it is not true will it help those leftists who call BTC a right-wing currency to calm down? Just imagine Bernie Sanders promoting cryptocurrencies lol.
665  Economy / Economics / Re: Why exchanges constantly expose you to the risk of losing your capital. on: March 27, 2019, 10:34:28 AM
How much will exchange lose by implementing price fixing during coin listing? Volume of first minute of trading was equal to 6000 BTC. I bet that all trades with more than x2 price of 10 min average (2x 700 sat), that would not be fulfilled was less than 1000 btc. Transaction fee with BNB discount is equal to 0.075 % for buyer and same for seller so we have 0.15%. We have 1.5 BTC. Is that really that much for binance compared with evident give a f... about customers?
That's not really much for them but why should they care while they already a top #1 exchange? Being first and having a good volume is already passively brings them a lot of traders.

Exchanges do not really care about their customers, if true, the number of cryptocurrencies will be less than 100 coins, there is no need to create more than 1000 repeated coins with such financial models copied from each other.
An exchange is just a place to exchange one coin to another one. They list only coins, that will bring them enough volume and which devs will pay more. With a good volume exchange doesn't seem to be interested in picking coins that are unique and have their special usage. But if they will they should probably start trading only BTC.
666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future improvements on: March 27, 2019, 10:15:37 AM
1. Isn't it already private? Is there any other fiat currency available that is more private than bitcoin? I am not comparing it with any other tor or onion initiative though!

2 and 3. Lightening network is indeed a very important initiative that is going to have a long lasting effect on bitcoin network in a positive way. Once it is fully implemented, the cost and time of transactions will come down to a very nominal level which will definitely a step closer to mainstream adoption.

We already have mobile wallets available for bitcoin lightening network. The technology is already there but we all are lacking from the acceptability perspective.

4. Small blockchain size would not excite a lot of persons from the cryptospace as it doesn't have any impact on the acceptability. Bitcoin is popular but can we really buy our daily needs using it? Not really! The development on that perspective should start getting some momentum for a holistic improvement.

1. Cash is private. No matter what currency you use. it is hard to say what is more private but that's the fact.
2.3. Then you will just have to convince people to use bitcoin. Even not you can buy literally everything you want for it.
4. That is why someone is developing LN
667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC/ETH Technical Analysis: Breakout soon? on: March 27, 2019, 10:05:32 AM
BTC also was around 4k before the new year and on this forum people were also talking that soon will start another bullish trend. Unfortunately, BTC usually remains at this resistance point and can't break it. It doesen't seem like everything depends only on tech analysis, people just don't see any serious updates and don't believe that bullish trend will start now.
668  Economy / Economics / Re: How will financial crisis affect crypto? on: March 26, 2019, 01:41:58 PM
Crypto will probably see some growth, but I doubt many people would be feeling particularly adventurous in the event of a full blown crisis.
Can anyone provide at least a single evidence that Bitcoin for some reasin should grow during a crisis? It won't happen just because we want it to grow.
Cryptocurrencies were always considered as a risky asset. Then why da fuck they should become supre safe during any global crisis?
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin Surge Could Boost Bitcoin on: March 26, 2019, 01:35:55 PM
If for some reason only a single altcoin (not the entire market) is surging then most people are probably selling it for bitcoin.

Wait what? If people are selling it for Bitcoin, wouldn't the price dynamics move in the opposite direction? The coin they're selling would slide while Bitcoin would surge?

Either way, if Litecoin's halving is indeed the catalyst for this pump (I feel that this is temporary), Bitcoin's won't be coming until early next year, with the halving estimated to happen around May 2020. I don't buy the Litecoin is shepherd and Bitcoin is sheep comparison mentioned in the article; if nothing else, it's the other way around. People are just trying too hard to look for signs of the end of the bear market.
Emm... Nope.
If people are placing more sell orders for LTC than buy orders then it means that the price is going down. At the same time demand in bitcoin is increasing which cause the price increase for bitcoin.
Also halving does not guarantee that the price will grow.
670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cryptocurrency banks needed. on: March 26, 2019, 01:29:29 PM
When any currency place into bank, they are not decentralized anymore.
Banking service is centralized, bitcoin can't become centralized if you send it to the bank.
Remember that people like crypto because it has something special that not have on any currency before and IMO decentralized , currency.

Let say if the bank accept bitcoin, I can say that goverment able control bitcoin supply !
People love crypto because it brings them money. Prove to them that BTC will sure never grow and cryptocurrencies won't be so interesting. Decentralization is just one of the features of bitcoin.
Banks can help to secure the money of its users and provide some more benefits as they do with fiat bank cards.
671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin Surge Could Boost Bitcoin on: March 26, 2019, 01:13:58 PM
Almost every currency is paired to BTC. If for some reason only a single altcoin (not the entire market) is surging then most people are probably selling it for bitcoin. Which means that similar thing can apply with every altcoin, the fact that in the article everything is described on the example with litecoin doesn't really matter.
672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tim Draper Encourages Argentina’s President to Legitimize Bitcoin on: March 26, 2019, 12:30:29 PM

"We were speaking of Bitcoin and the devaluation of the peso, and I proposed a bet: if the peso would be valued more than Bitcoin, I would double my investment that I was making for the country. But if Bitcoin gained a higher rate than the peso, they would have to declare it as a national currency. That would be a perfect decision, as there's a lack of confidence in this coin.”
What's the point in comparing a single peso with 1 bitcoin? It is the same as investing 100$ into bitcoin or ETH. From investment point of view there is no matter what is the current price. THe only thing that matters is a % of future growth.
Also central banks are not trying to deflate the price of their currency so crypto is not that relevant to the global economy.
673  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Indian Exchange Launches Lending Program for 5 Cryptocurrencies on: March 26, 2019, 11:10:29 AM
Stop listening to the news contained in Bitcoin.com's website, it's full of lies and misleading information.

We all know that storing coins on platforms is much worse than using banks, so you lose money when using these platforms.
You can earn a lot of money if you trade them properly instead of depositing them at unknown people hoping to get 2% monthly.
Unfortunately, not everyone knows how to trade cryptocurrencies and how to trade at all. Now it is not 2017 and it is not enough to pick a random shitcoin and trade it in its pumps. Even people who know how to trade are still risking to loose their money while lending seems to be a safer way even for newbies. Ofc if there would be a proper system that will help to get their money back.
674  Economy / Economics / Re: $2.5 Million: Binance Invests in Aussie Crypto Payments Startup to Push Adoption on: March 26, 2019, 11:02:12 AM
Ofcourse it is a good thing but it is only a small step on the way to crypto adoption and 2.5 mln $ is not a revolutionary big money for crypto world. I doubt that many people would use TravelbyBit and there is no guarantees that this project will become somehow popular. Sometimes we are witnessing the crash of even bigger projects.
675  Economy / Economics / Re: Still no threat detected, Apple Card on: March 26, 2019, 10:39:26 AM
Why da fuck this apple card should have an influence on BTC? Why no one is screaming like that when some other bank (lets say Deutche Bank) is issuing a new debit or credit card.
It is not cryptocurrencies and people do not have to store their money on apple card instead of buying BTC and vice versa.
676  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Indian Exchange Launches Lending Program for 5 Cryptocurrencies on: March 26, 2019, 10:32:00 AM
It is good if it's done right but I'm just wondering about the 2% interest rate? Will that 2% interest rate be fixed from the date you made a loan or will that also be volatile?

E.g I lend 1BTC at the price of $100 then the price went $300 after a month will that also be covered by the 2% interest rate?
I'm sure it will be fixed in BTC. Like you are lending someone 0.1 BTC and getting back 0.11 BTC. In this case you will be secured from volatility.

I remember that there was (and there is) a similar service in Poloniex but at one day the interest rates have dropped significantly and no one wants to risk his money for such a small revenue.
677  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin on WhatsApp Coming on: March 26, 2019, 10:26:25 AM
Most popular messengers are aiming to create their own currencies (probably stablecoins). In this case 3rd party wallet doesn't seem so attractive if there will be an original wallet for WhatsApp currency. Also they may find a way to disable any extra wallets in their messengers.
Anyway, a wallet in a messenger doesn't seem good unless it is needed for something and you are getting benefit for using it.
678  Economy / Economics / Re: How will financial crisis affect crypto? on: March 26, 2019, 10:20:43 AM
In case of any significant crisis people will be trying to move their money into some safer assets: real estates, bank deposits, gov obligations and whatever will be a safer thing in a particular situation. Our problem is that cryptocurrencies were never considered as a safe asset so no one will probably decide to buy some BTC in order to save his money. It works this way only in shitholes like Venezuela.
679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bolt-A-Thon: World's First Online Lightning Network Conference and Hackathon on: March 26, 2019, 10:10:13 AM
It seems to be a small low-budget event. Most of the events that I remember (even online webinars) were expensive as fuck both for visitors, speakers and advertisers. This one is cheap and affordable but the cheap price may correlate with quality in some negative way. So don't expect to find something super special there.
680  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to delete files? on: March 26, 2019, 10:00:29 AM
The "trick" I heard for old phones is to format the phone and then record HD video to fill up the storage space. Repeat the process a few times to prevent any sort of forensic file undeletion.
That's the way how CCleaner works. It fulfills the empty space on your disc and then delete it. For PC it is a very long process that still not always can guarantee the safety of deleted data.

You don't need to use any 3rd party software just to delete all files from your Android phones, Hard reset is enough to erase all files inside in your phone and I think no one will recover it.
It feels like I'll still be able to restore information from SSD.

If you feel your private keys is not safe why not just make another new wallet to transfer all of your funds to a new wallet?
Or flashing your android phone with new firmware will delete entire program and files and you can use again as fresh as new.
I'm just looking for a universal way that would be suitable not only for private keys but also for photos, videos, apps etc.
