661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy on: January 25, 2018, 10:03:57 AM
I have a problem with the zcoin wallet. I have Zcoin Core version v0.13.4.3-f773393-unk (64-bit). It has stopped syncing the blockchain even though it has connections to peers. It says not block source available. How can I fix this?

If the peers that you have connection with have not synced you will get this kind of message.
I have same version of QT wallet you have, sync starts with 3 peers, ends with around 8 peers.

If problem doesn't solve by leaving wallet open, you could start command for "network part of wallet" -clearbanned-

662  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: January 25, 2018, 08:52:42 AM
I welcome idea that would stop people from randomly bumping up their post count with meaningless posts.
Also i think this is very good tool because it stands in the middle of the "post count- Activity number" and "Trust system points" that people barely use.

It will probably be abused, but any system becomes like that at some point. How admins will respond to that kind of problem will lead us to conclusion how good will Merit points become in a few months or a year to come.

663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HUSH Secure Private Messaging and Transactions [Equihash] on: January 25, 2018, 07:07:29 AM
My Hush lie in BarterDEX .
Whether BarterDEX to maintain a fork?
You must HODL your private key (not on an exchange!) in a transparent address.
The easiest way to store https://wallet.myhush.org/

Thanks for the reply!
Now Hush downloaded wallet for windows. The process of sync, but very slowly. In only 5 network connections. Passed 1 hour. Synchronized only 14%. Is this normal?

While percentage is increasing there should not be any problem, speed dependents about how much connections you currently have to your wallet. You should be worried only if percentage is stuck and not moving at all, then there is a problem with corrupted local block.

You can skip all this if someone is willing to upload you already synced up to date blockchain that you can just copy/paste in your roaming folder.

665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: January 24, 2018, 02:37:56 PM
My main issue with YIIMP when I was mining XVG is invalid shares and difficulty connecting to the stratum.  Usually it will connect if you let it sit for a while.  Invalid job messages were a regular thing though.  Did not have that issue on zpool however zpool was not that reliable and would run out of currency or go down frequently.

problems with invalid shares could be due to very different number of currently active miners on YIIMP.
Can you give us estimate number of miners for XVG on YIMP and on ZPOOL at that time you got errors?

I would like to know why they closed the access to the tables with the results of the bounty. Took part in bounty twitter, I would like to get a reward. Can't find any information about it.

They didn't close anything, link is still valid and it leads to google spreadsheet.
you can find it on the first page of this thread under "TRACKER SHEET"

667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Bitcoin ever replace conventional money? on: January 22, 2018, 08:10:47 PM
Whether bitcoin or any altcoins nothing can just replace normal fiat money, almost everyone still uses cash to make payments in most part of the world and the banks always hold paper cash as a means of deposit. I do not think we will see any currency replacing conventional money anytime.

I have just read your comment and makes me wonder a little, because in my case all things that I have  bought in a last few months are actually paid either with my card or paid online via bank transfer.
I carry some small amount of money in my wallet but almost never used it, only in case of emergency, for example when POS device are out of order or something like that.

So what I wanted to say, BTC or any other crypto can easily replace my current paying methods.

In EU more and more people are using cards and online transactions for everyday shopping, traditional paper money is used only in rural regions and with traditional people that doesn't have regular stream of income to get some kind of plastic card, but nowadays you can get plastic event with regular bank account without income.

Don't get me wrong I don't have anything against paper money, but the other way seems more convenient to me.

How long will I receive the weekly 5% airdrops?

Has anyone calculated when we will reach the limit of the maximum airdrop supply of coins?

Somebody posted picture with estimate date, you can find it few pages before.
If i remember correctly we still have around 3-5 months of airdrops to go before we reach the goal...
669  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: January 22, 2018, 08:02:43 AM
Bittrex is a scam exchange that has cost a lot of people a lot of money.  I would suggest if you still use them to use a different exchange instead, there are many options that are far better.  These scammers don't deserve your money.

You must understand that every exchange you use will be "GOOD" until problem occurs, after that you will know exactly how good or bad service really is. Unfortunately it's almost impossible to compare because it's not like you got same type of problems at 2 different exchange at the same time.

For example. if you had problem on Bittrex before  crypto world exploded, your problem would be solved in a matter of day or two.

It's seams that all exchanges currently suffer from same illness, all of them are understaffed.
670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ### A ChainWorks Industries (CWI) Project - SweepStakeCoin | Fast Fun Secure on: January 22, 2018, 07:28:50 AM
Neither Nova nor coinsmarket is working as for now. Can't see sweep listed on nova.
Sweep was delisted from Nova on 30th december.

Probably delisted due to low or none trading volume.
SWEEP volume were OK before NOVA announced that info about closing door, then people started leaving and there was no volume anymore.

Another problem is that SWEEP is not listed on coinmarketcap, so a lot of people doesn't even know that coin exist in the first place.

671  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does Bitpay have serious problems? on: January 21, 2018, 12:10:13 PM
To give an update:

After 29 days I finally received a response from Bitpay yesterday. It says

Quote
We apologize for the long delay in follow-up. Bitcoin has grown a lot in 2017. This resulted in doubling the number of support inquiries we get, so it takes longer to get back to our customers...

They asked me to provide a refunding address. So I did. Today I received the payment excluded by 0.001 BTC fee. My problem is resolved now.

So after 29 days of waiting they responded by returning your money, but what about the goods that you tried to buy with your payment, did they waited for you with reserved goods or what?
Because if there is some kind of sale going on and i decide to buy something that cannot end well for me after almost one month of waiting without clue what is happening with my payment.

672  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bittrex & Coinbase: I need to change phone, how do I move Google Authenticator? on: January 21, 2018, 12:01:28 PM
I need to buy a better phone but have google authenticator on the old one. I use GA to access coinbase and bittrex.
Should I transfer GA before I get rid of the old phone? If so, how do I do this transfer?
BTW I really hate having to use GA because of such doubts, is there an alternative way to access bittrex and coinbase?

Ok, so because you still have your old phone with Google auth available you have 2 options.

1. Disable 2FA auth on services you are using it currently, and after the switch with the new phone you can enable it again

And the second options (better one)

2. Go to services you are currently using 2FA and write down your "Restore codes" for 2FA authentication (sometimes the restore code is only numbers and usually you get numbers and QR code which you can save as picture so you dont make mistake by writing it down manualy)

Ccminer verrsion 2.2.1 works pretty good for me. Is this CWIgm better in term of hashrate?
Seen in the picture that you are mining another coin.

Picture is actually from Chris machine not mine, and is showing Signatum, but information that miner is showing in real time nicely structured  is the same for every coin they support.
I cannot tell you the exact hashrate because ccminer 2.2.1 wasn't available at the time I was using CWI miner.

Also hashrate is only a number and sometimes it doesn't show real gain that you get on the pool. People were using miners with higher hasrate and still they were getting smaller income from the pool they were mining.

This is an interesting coin. Hope the dev team can develop the coin and reinforce a strong roadmap.
What is the best miner to mine Dnr at the moment?

I use ccminer.... Works great for me with nvidea cards.....

If you didn't already, you can also try CWIgm miner, just contact member chrysophylax to get the link for the latest version, i am not sure if the miner is still in beta phase or has been officially released, version that I was using at the moment was still in early phase.
One thing to point out is the fact that CWI miner is locked to CWI pool only.

Here is the picture how i looks like:

Novaexchange is no longer closing down.
They will be listing coins based on requests and will announce this in due course.

SWEEP is already available on NovaExchange so now when they are staying in the game we don't have to do anything anymore.

The have announced the news one week ago under the news section. https://novaexchange.com/news/
Strange part is that when they said they are closing down they sent few newsletters about exact dates, it's a little strange to make decision of 180 degrees and not sent customers email about that. I am not sure if this is actually their last decision.

I have noticed one thing related to translations on my wallet 1.0.7.0

Under language settings - I have English US.
But my wallet is part on English and part of terms are in Croatian.

I don't remember how it was before update.

677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS B250 Mining Expert MB - 19 Cards! on: January 20, 2018, 12:34:20 PM

Yes it can be, options you are looking for is called "iGPU", this board is actually using GPU from CPU if it has one. Board doesn't have gpu on its self.

To disable it:

You must go in BIOS under Advanced - Graphics Configuration - iGPU Multi monitor - Disabled
Also you must select Primary Display and set it to "Auto" or  PCIE

I personally  don't mind to have iGPU enabled.

I guess it is best to use iGPU than a GPU used for mining?

That's exactly how I have setup my rigs.
On a rigs that have igpu options available,  I'am using igpu as my primary display.
I have one rig with xeon that doesn't have integrated GPU, on that machine i have just pluged in HDMI on one of the cards.

But in that combination i have random spikes of GPU core frequency on card that has plugged hdmi cable.

What is the ico price of icx/eth? I heard this is korean ethereum, it is true?

ICO period was long time ago, and even then finished earlier than it was planned due to high interest of buyers.

Nobody can tell you if ICX will be new Korean etherium, but it's by far most serious project with big DEV team and even some Korean institutions that are standing behind the project so everyone expects to be well adopted in Korea and worldwide.

Time will tell what will be the future of this coin and how well will be accepted in homeland.
