In their last YouTube presentation, the Decred team mentioned they were aware of a few companies preparing to launch ASICs for Decred and welcome ASICs. They also mentioned they are prepared for any shenanigans from the ASIC manufacturers. Sounds like they will modify the Decredition platform to allow stakeholders to NOT approve empty blocks or something along those lines. Good and competent move. I'm glad that the team does not sit still, but puts forward new ideas. |

There is nothing like short on manpower. If they really have no time to post here they could find a community manager. This is something normal like all other ICOs are doing this. This could be big problem for them and i think this is the case, they lack manpower and looks like they will have to make some decisions and hire more people they trust in order to stay in touch with their potential investors. A lack in manpower is not a problem that you can't overcome. They have a clear concept and just need to sort out how to materialize it. Good employees are not so easy to find themselves in the team. They need to be trusted and this is not done quickly. |

at least they are now interacting with the members here in the forum not like before when there are so many critics around here. and about the blockchain events, i assume they are already working on it or perhaps planning to join more with such kinds of events. Вы же сами написали что монеты пообещали до 5 числа прислать,а сегодня только 3,так что ждите придут вам монеты,тем более некоторые уже отписываются о поступлении монет. Мне тоже уже прислали TBAR сегодня, так что постепенно всем переведут. Может конечно до 5 числа и не успеют, но несколько дней задержки не на что не влияет. This industry is experiencing some growing pains, and the regulators are now trying to weed out the bad actors, but that is to be expected of a new industry. I'm sure the PC was used by a lot of bad actors as well. There were a lot of comments along that line circulating on social media. Yes, some really bad people have used cryptocurrency, but all really bad people have used Windows... I can't believe how fast the amount of misinformation has exploded, with media commentators making buy recommendations after laughing at crypto 6 months ago. I've found it a little surreal to sometimes come across these passionate recommendations from people who have barely gotten involved in this industry, but they smell money so going all out. It's also weird to think that right now of everyone (media talking heads included) chattering about cryptocurrency these days, I'm probably in the top 5% in terms of knowledge, experience, and expertise. Finally it's weird to know that people are drawing their conclusions based on various forms of hype and other fake news rather than the realities going on in this industry. I kind of wish I could talk to everyone, but then the psychology is that people like me aren't exactly listened to as we don't have any particular stature in the way the world looks at it. I can know tons about this industry but the guy who chatters away on TV will be seen as having more credibility just because he's on TV. It's frustrating on one hand, but I guess good if you don't like fame. PS. A testnet has its own coins, but this cryptocurrency is not supposed to accrue any actual value. Developers can experiment with the testnet without posing any actual risk to the all-important main bitcoin blockchain.
Of course, there’s a big difference between a testnet that has no value and Litecoin, which has a market capitalization of $11.8 billion. Litecoin hold for more than a year, it does not grow particularly fast. I hope this year it will grow more than last year. |

The point with BTCZ is that there is no founders tax, no ico no massive holders who got a lot for free that could potentially dump like the founders voluntary pool that apparently dumped $2.8M ZCL today.
...and no marketing!  Yes no marketting and a big success : pice is growing, hashrate i growing... This is the best indicators for long term benefits and no dump : a large holder base, with low short term speculation. Smooth and slow growth is much better than a rapid rise and then falling to the bottom. |
