Is because the name "Bitcoin" is the best name for a crypto-currency.
No other name will be as good.
Not agree with you, what will happen if Bitcoin die tomorrow will all crypto currencies die? No right if Bitcoin does not exist in future than there will be another crypto coin. Well Zcash is also good name isn't it? Out of all the Alt-coins, I like Monero the best. It sounds nice in a variety of languages. Even still, it doesn't really describe what it is very well, although Monero is a very cool way of saying "money". Bitcoin sounds good, and perfectly describes what it is. Whoever came up with it is brilliant.

Can someone from China please chime in, and tell us what the heck is going on over there?
LOL @ people dumping.
NOTHING about Bitcoin has changed.
Just because the government of China fears Bitcoin's power (and sheep follow suit), doesn't mean you should stop believing.
QUIT worrying about the Fiat value of your Bitcoins. Worry about the amount of Bitcoins you have.
Chinese speculators are probably selling do to fears of fraud, fines, etc from the investigations.
Price will rebound, and non-believers will be punished.
Yeah seems like a move to stop the flow of Yuan over the Bitcoin. It was obvious the Chinese government was afraid of the implications, and did whatever they could to prevent the obvious crash of their fiat currency.
Just a matter of time before the FUD settles, and the Rally picks up where it left over... with more momentum.

Make a paper wallet that isn't so obvious with a QR code private key, and laminate it or something. Send your cold storage coins to that address. Scan the QR code to import when you want to send.

Why do we need big blocks again? Why do we need SegWit again?
Let's see how SegWit works for Litecoin first.

I also think it's strange that the price hike happened during Christmas with very little media coverage of the Rally.
Everyone cashing out so close to the new ATH is also interesting... Why would you sell so close to the ATH after Block Reward Halving during a much awaited Rally? It makes no sense to me.
These non-believers are about to get punished. Is 20% ROI really worth the risk when Bitcoin about those Moon-level returns?
Seems like some major players/forces are driving the price down for now knowing it's going to skyrocket.

I love paying 5 cents more in fees to get 10 min confirmations. It's great! Only took me about 3 times waiting 1-2 hours to catch on.
Why ANYONE would cash out when the block reward halved just a few months ago, is beyond me.
It's what Bitcoin is all about. 1500% ROI here we come!

I really hope Kwukduck is right. I would LOVE to snatch up 3 BTCs for $1k all DAY.
This pullback won't last long. You have people cashing out their small profits (buying at $400 and selling at $1k), thinking that the Peak has been reached. The bear trap before the big money should be expected. Why do you think the media has remained mostly silent on this rally? They are afraid of the new heights that will be reached.

Bear trap closing. Buying opportunity closing rapidly too. Already too late for triple digits. +1 If it touched 900 I was going to buy more. Obvious Bear Trap was Obvious. Still obvious bear trap? still obvious It is very obvious. It could last a month, who knows. But eventually the price is going to skyrocket, and I don't want to get caught holding the bag when it does. I don't try to play the markets, I just buy when it gets low. Like now, will buy more cheap btc.
I bought more btc at $800 before the spike, could have cashed out and made a small 20-30% ROI.
But like I've said before, I'm not in this for small returns. Will buy more as it bottoms out. This Bear trap will catch many of the non-believers.

Seriously, is there ANY reason to cash out your BTC to invest in fiat? LOL

Many people have to LOSE in order for a few to WIN.
Be honest with yourself that maybe you aren't as knowledgeable of the market as you think, then take a break. If trading is what you are passionate about, then only risk small amounts that you are WILLING TO LOSE. Consider it payment for education and entertainment purposes only, and go from there.
