661  Economy / Economics / Re: Small Scale Business Ideas on: September 23, 2023, 11:01:57 PM
On this board I often see a lot of discussions related to investment and finance which tend to be large scale. However, to start investing we need capital. How do you find capital for investment?

Let's talk about small scale businesses that have low risks and promising profits so that we can have capital to invest and become passive income in the future.

Do you have a small business idea? or business experience? I want to hear it

I mean that was easy just save money for the capital on your business, if you have a full-time job just save a little amount until you think you already have a good amount of capital to start your business, Christmas bonus can also be a capital, I know a friend that use his bonus to start his business, and I think that was really great since most of the employee when they get there bonus the first thing they do is spend it to something that they really wanted not invest it to something like a business.

The first business that came to my mind is having an online business since it has low risk compared to something like building a store, but personally, I would go to something like a passive income as a safer approach, probably investing in an apartment or a condo something like that, having a good passive income monthly I guess is already a great investment, but having a business is obviously where your money can multiple. So online business is probably something like a clothing brand since you could just probably start to print a few copies and then sell it to your friends and family as well as online, with just enough skills you could easily promote it online, then wait for all of your supply to be sold until you go for another batch I think that way you could minimize your business avoiding lose since you could easily stop printing t-shirts if you think it wasn't a good month something like that.
662  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Is Bitcoin Price Increasing? on: September 23, 2023, 03:30:16 PM
Currently, the price of Bitcoin continues to increase. Today the price of Bitcoin is 27000$. It is assumed that the price of Bitcoin will increase further in the future. Many people want to know why this Bitcoin price is increasing. There are several reasons behind the rise in the price of Bitcoin. I mentioned some important reasons:

1. Much Demand: Bitcoin has become more popular among users. This is one of the reasons for the increase in the value of Bitcoin.

2. Supply : The supply of bitcoins is limited (21 million) and new bitcoins have to follow strict procedures to generate them. This in turn increases the value of Bitcoin.

3. Media : Bitcoin news, events, policy changes, etc. Journalistic events influence the price of Bitcoin.

4. Technology : Bitcoin uses a blockchain technology, which is reliable, secure and provides maximum security.

5. Investment: Bitcoin's value increases through various individuals, companies, and pneumatic investments.

The combination of these fundamental factors has led to the rise in value of Bitcoin. Also distribution limits and mainstreaming means that Bitcoin's supply mechanism affects the mainstream price on the upside.

There are just too many reasons and factors that are affecting the market price of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies which just means it's impossible to predict it accurately most of the time, I mean there are times that you might predict it and get lucky but sure there are always times where you're going to lose money or get the wrong prediction. That is why it is still a very risky investment even though we all believe that Bitcoin is going to increase its market price in the future, I mean we dont really know if Bitcoin is still going to exist in the coming years, because it has a volatile market price something could easily happen and drops the price to zero, It is not probably going to happen easily but there is always a possibility.

But if we are just going to base on the past timeline of Bitcoin we could easily predict that the market price is going to multiply in the coming years, also we are already seeing how Bitcoin and cryptocurrency are adapting all over the world, even to the day I can already see cryptocurrency adapt in a lot of platforms, it is already supported by some banks here in my country, just imagine that in the past years we thought that cryptocurrency is gonna be the one that is going to kill banks, but today you can now buy and sell cryptocurrency using some banks platforms.
663  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful with your transactions. on: September 23, 2023, 01:56:17 PM
This is just a reminder to everyone in the forum from newbie to legendary, that we should be very careful and not be in a rush when we want to make bitcoin transaction, we should be patient enough to go through the bitcoin address that we are sending the money to, and to make sure that it is the right amount of bitcoin that we are sending, over and over again. The transaction fee should also be re-checked, so as to avoid any expensive mistake that can lead to the loss of your coins.

If you mistakenly send your bitcoin to a wrong address, it means that you have lost you bitcoin, because there is no way that you can get it back, if the bitcoin was sent a a noncustodial wallet. If it was sent to an exchange, you only have very slim chance of getting it back.

An example is recently we heard how Paxos over paid $500,000 transaction fee to move $2000BTC due to bug.https://cointelegraph.com/news/paxos-confirms-responsible-for-500k-mistaken-bitcoin-transaction.
Which F2pool has accepted that it was there pool, but I don't think that F2pool will refund back all the funds, because such transactions rely on the goodwill of the miner to refund or not.
Let us try not to be in a rush to make transactions as we might end up regretting for a long period of time instead of using few minutes to glance through the transaction again. Paxos was lucky that the money was refunded because it was the mining fee which can be traced to the minimg pool, but when it is the wrong address, it becomes more complicated.

I mean this was already an issue for most of the investors even for the experienced members because sometimes we just want every to be convenient and fast as we do our transaction so sometimes we forget to check everything one by one just like when we are just getting started or when we are just a newbie on the cryptocurrency space, I've heard a lot of scams and hacks like this where they send it to the wrong address something like that, there are also times where your going to copy a wrong address I think there was a issue like that here in the four, similar where you're gonna though that you pasted your address because it has similar first 4 digit I think the first and last digit are the same but it wasn't the same then your going to end up sending your money to a wrong address.

There were obviously a lot of tricks that the hackers do in order to get your cryptocurrency investment so if you are not aware of them something you might get caught by it and end up getting hacked by one of their modus, luckily we have this forum where we get an idea of how they do things or we get aware that it is possible. I mean it is really easy to protect yourself if you really know how to do it, if you are aware of it most likely scammers and hackers cannot really do anything about your wallet.
664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gives the poor an Opportunity. on: September 23, 2023, 12:11:06 PM
I mean it wasn't really completely like it, for sure you could easily buy a very small amount of Bitcoin and you could probably earn even though you didn't have a good amount of investment but at the same time, you could easily lose your investment in cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency has a very volatile market price and if you looking forward to earning on cryptocurrency and don't really have any other source of income you might just end up selling your investment at a loss. Especially for poor people, I wouldn't really recommend investing in cryptocurrency at that rate because it is a risky investment it would be better to invest in assets, passive incomes, or something like a business because this investment involves tangible things unlike cryptocurrency where you doesnt really have any assurance, I mean on 2030 something like that we dont really know if cryptocurrency is still going to exist it could probably disappear at anything.

For me, Bitcoin is a great investment but I wouldn't recommend it for someone who doesnt really have some kind of savings or if you only going to depend on Bitcoin investment but as a currency I dont really think that it is already suitable for that since it involves high fees, and there are also a lot of platform issues since most of the low fees transactions are from centralized platform and most of us doesnt like centralized platforms.
665  Local / Pilipinas / Re: PAL nagintroduce ng kanilang NFT on: September 23, 2023, 08:13:40 AM
https://bitpinas.com/business/philippine-airlines-nft/

666  Economy / Economics / Re: The Kids buying Mcdonald order via BTC on: September 23, 2023, 03:04:56 AM
I dont really think that they understand Bitcoin at that age but I guess it's still a great thing that these kids are getting exposed to Bitcoin at a very early age since that could help them learn a little about Bitcoin probably when they get older they already have an idea about it and that could interest than in the forum to actually learn Bitcoin and cryptocurrency not just using it as a payment on Mcdonalds since it would be advisable because of the huge fees most of the time, I mean this Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies wasn't really mean for payment at this time because of its volatile market price and huge fees, I would only recommend it as an investment, I mean it is great as an investment but wasn't ready to be used as a payment method but probably it would be possible in the future, there is some centralized platform that offer very low fees on cryptocurrency transactions but it's a centralized platform so I would really trust putting my bitcoin there for sure.

We can assume that this image is taken back in the day when cryptocurrency was still not a thing and there were a lot of people who doubted it, But at the moment cryptocurrency is already adopted in a lot of platforms so if you're going to use it as a payment there will only be low fees compared in the past that's for sure.
667  Economy / Speculation / Re: Share your opinion on the market. on: September 22, 2023, 06:45:46 PM

I saw this image from a telegram page. I don't know but thought it wise to bring it here to the forum. Maybe we can brainstorm discussion-wise based on individuals opinions. From the image as shown above what's your prediction on the direction of the market next move?  Feel free to express your opinion be you a professional or trading expert or not.

For sure there wasn't going to be any movement right now, I mean September wasn't really a good month for cryptocurrency so personally I wasn't expecting some kind of movement, but it doesnt really matter since the market overall is kinda weak the moment, probably one of the biggest pumps is going to be the bitcoin halving which could probably hype the market, in the past years if we are going to check and analyze the bitcoin halving timeline we could clearly see that a few months before the bitcoin halving there was some kind of movement in the market, so since the bitcoin halving is only a few months away, in my opinion probably around early 2024 there will be a small movement in the market. But the Bullrun is going to be after the Bitcoin halving most of the time 365 days before the Bitcoin halving. So dont really expect a huge movement at the moment so just HODL right time.

It might reach around 40k early next year and then the market is gonna drop again before it is going to skyrocket to over 100k$ in my speculation. That's probably the time when the Bull Run is going to happen around 2024-2025.
668  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Preparing for opportunities on: September 21, 2023, 06:05:21 PM
I don't always do this often but I thought it wise to say some words of encouragement to the newbies as I really do understand how much effort it takes to grow on the forum and I want to use this medium to advice all newbies to keep pushing and not restrain from making meaningful contributions to the community because you aren't getting the expected appreciations for your works and efforts which I understand is most times disheartening but I want to encourage you to continue the good works as most times merits and rewards might not come at the expected time and might even take weeks or even months before your work gets recognized, hence what I'm saying in essence is that if you don't make quality post(preparation) then merits (success) wouldn't come, so keep making good post and I assure that the desired rewards will come in.

These are just some kind words of advice and encouragement from me to those who need it.

I mean it wasn't really necessary of required to make a great quality post, you could pretty much post everything you want here in the forum, But for sure this forum is great if you really want to learn about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency there was no doubt about it since this is where I learn most of my knowledge about cryptocurrency. The best thing to do here is to start your journey on cryptocurrency, probably you could start investing already if you think you already know what you are doing you have done enough research already, and you want to start investing to make a profit. This forum could help you if you are just a beginner posting here could make you learn a lot and at the same time you could ask anything here if you having a problem or just want some advice about cryptocurrency or how you going to invest.

The more you gain experience here in the cryptocurrency space the more you can create more quality posts here in the forum and that just means you're probably going to get more merits, I mean there are some benefits if you gain a good rank here in the forum at the same time you're also investing, I think that's a good opportunity already for every newbie to start there investment journey at the same time start here in the forum since its already a great community.
669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Just HODL But HODL Wisely and Securely on: September 21, 2023, 02:59:42 PM
I mean what they need is just knowledge most of the beginners just download any Bitcoin wallet out there that is convenient to them thinking it is already the right thing to do but most of these wallets are scams and that is why a lot of the newcomers in cryptocurrency space get hack and scam because of this methods. It is certainly great if beginners are going to learn about cryptocurrency before even starting to invest because it already involves money. Then if they think that if already know what to do and they already have the money to invest in cryptocurrency then its a time that they could start investing already since they already have a initial idea and already know what to do.

Also, we have this forum, I mean pretty much anything is already here in the forum ever issue or problem that we are going to experience we could just ask here for help, a lot of members here are already veterans and have a long experience on cryptocurrency already so we could easily use this forum to gain more knowledge, ask for help and even share our experience. It's always better to be ready first than just start investing already, make sure to learn from other people's mistakes to avoid losing money and to HODL wisely.
670  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: September 20, 2023, 08:08:55 AM
Probably business if you already have a good amount of money to start a business then that's probably the best time to start your business, I mean all investments have their own risk and we can't deny that having to start your business is a very risk move, but I mean there was no other way in other to become rich or successful but to have your own business it was the easiest way to multiple your money. So for sure business is always the way to do even though you have a very small capital but the downside is it would take time and dedication, probably luck because businesses have a lot of factors in order to be a success.

On the other was real estate would be the safest investment since we could easily have a passive income with this kind of asset it would depend on how you going to manage your real state, but since it's a tangible asset most of the time the price of real state is just to the moon, I mean its not that bad if you're going to choose real state since it is a more guarantee approach than going straight to business. imagine just having multiple real states probably renting an apartment business is a great passive income, condos or resorts could generate easy income.

Cryptocurrency is the riskiest investment since it just doest guarantee anything, I mean after a few years, cryptocurrency could just not exist anymore. But I would say that it can also be a good initial investment if you dont really have money for real state investment, or doesnt want to start a business. Having cryptocurrency could be a good investment since we can already see a lot of investors make a good profit here the thing here is it just wasn't guarantee you could easily lose your investment here as well so make sure to only investment what you can afford to lose.
671  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why is the language here different from what we use in the real world on: September 20, 2023, 03:43:39 AM
Good day to you all,  straight to the point.
Why is the terms, words and some sentences that are made in bitcointalk seems different and strange to newbies like me to understand, some time I have to do extra search to be able to comprehend some comments here this question have being disturbing me for sometime now. I have decide to voice it out,  because the fear of being unable to communicate in the acceptable manner in this forum have limit my engagement in some topic of discussions I fine interesting most times.

For several weeks I have being reading and reading but I want to start contributing frequently so I do need any advice on what and how to write acceptable comments here in the forum,  since that is not stated in the rules of the forum.

I mean for sure that was pretty normal since there are a lot of things that you dont understand yet here in the forum and as well as on the cryptocurrency terms. You could pretty much make a conversation here the way you make the conversation easily where we could understand everyone but for sure it is just normal since you still doesnt have enough knowledge so something like DCA, or ETF terms might get confused easily.

I was pretty much the same when I got started here in the forum since I dont know a lot and doesnt have enough knowledge especially if you go to some other threads here like serious discussions, mining, etc. There are things there that were really difficult to understand if you dont have some initial ideas or doesnt have an idea at all what they are talking about, it was just the same if you going to talk to someone but you dont know what they are talking about. I mean you just need some time here in the forum for sure, You are still a newbie here in the forum so you gonna get that feeling but as time goes by you going to learn slowly and you could pretty much understand everything. Just so you know members here are already made thousands of post and it will reflect on how they make there post and if they know what they are saying.
672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when you look at your first Bitcoin wallet? on: September 20, 2023, 02:42:16 AM
My journey into Bitcoin was entire due to the need to send payment across borders as there was FX and several other restrictions in my country. So, I joined Bitcoin just to use it for cross-border payment without knowing it could actually be a way of creating wealth in the future.

Just recently, I was tempted to check my first ever Bitcoin wallet to see what I have done in the past. I was so depressed seeing the volume of Bitcoin that have passed through my wallet without me saving a reasonable portion of it.

I have the feeling that many forum users too have similar experience; do kindly share just maybe I can feel a little better knowing that I'm not a lone.

In the past year, I have invested in Bitcoin probably starting around 2017 when I was just a student I did not really have money to invest at that time so I needed to make some side hustle in order to make investments, It was really depressing as well seeing I started when Bitcoin it was only around 400$ as far as I remember, So probably I did make a good amount of money if I really just invested in cryptocurrency that time, The thing here is I just end up selling my small investment that time because my mindset wasn't really right that time since I just wanted to make profit and spend it to my wants not thinking for my future.

But now I have started accumulating again after the last Bullrun when the market dropped and I did learn my lesson last time, now that I have multiple income streams I can easily hold my Bitcoin and I already accumulate a good amount of Bitcoin investment in my wallet,  I keep in track of my spending and hoping I will be able to invest more in the future not making the same mistake I did in my past years. So in my coming Bullrun, I can sure earn a huge profit.
https://news.abs-cbn.com/business/09/19/23/unionbank-to-offer-bitcoin-trading-on-mobile-app-in-oct

674  Economy / Economics / Re: How to spend money determines whether you can avoid unnecessary problems on: September 19, 2023, 06:48:56 PM

Please let me clarify first: anyone who is extremely poor or wealthy is not included in this discussion. Only those who are employed with steady income, some savings and spare time will find this topic useful. I guess most of us are doing fine now but financially we have to face one common problem: how to spend money.  This issue leads to many consequences if not handled properly. Here I would not start any broad and subjective agruement. To deliver my message clearly, I am using some specific examples to elaborate. For example, a lot of peole complain that their income is not enough to cover their daily expenses so they can't save much money while...they spend seven bucks on a cup of coffee almost every morning, throw a hundred dollars on some gym membership cards but never show up training, have dinner with some random girl in an expensive restaurant, buy drinks in bars and waste hundreds of dollars... The list goes on and on. If you live this kind of lifestyle and at the end of months, you are running out of money or can't pay the mortgages, whose fault is this ? I can not provide any statisitics but I am sure that many people have fallen in the trap and can not get out.  I hope you are not one of them.

I progressed here and right now I can say that I wasn't really rich or poor since I had a stable income already and probably good enough savings and investment but still I wasn't some rich guy or successful enough. The most obvious trick that I learned is just to dont spend on something that you can't afford, it's okay to buy and reward yourself sometimes especially if you feel drained from work, etc. But the first thing you should ask yourself every time you go to buy something is can you afford to buy it? if you think you can then yes, for example, if you are going to buy something worth 100$ then maybe compute on your salary, if you have a salary for example of 500$ then probably you can afford it since you're going to earn in next month easily. The worst thing is buying something like an iPhone, laptop, or gadget because you just want it, with a very low salary you gonna use your credit card which is a very bad move because it's going to be difficult to pay that plus interest

Also, make sure to keep track of your income and spending, we mostly doesnt know where the money goes because we dont really track our expenses its a good trick in my experience, you're also gonna need multiple income streams for sure, so that you can also invest and afford whatever you want.
675  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big surprise in mid-August - Do not panic!!! on: September 19, 2023, 07:50:08 AM
I've been taking a short break from my work for the past two days - and WOW was I totally shocked when I know the price of bitcoin having dropped so much the previous day. I was wondering what this was all about - but my quick search says Elon Musk seems to be one of the reasons for the decline.

So far I haven't really cared much about market volatility - but the current market conditions have reminded me of the FTX crash. Not sure when the market will recover even though I'm not too affected by the volatility. My hope is only one; avoid panic - just hold your bitcoin and accumulate.

I mean I'm been holding my investment in Bitcoin and another cryptocurrency, it's really a good thing that I learned to have multiple incomes because now I don't really care what happens on the market since my goal is the bull run, I have no intentions to sell at this point since I don't really need the profit at this point, I just find out the trick since if you always in the market you're always gonna get tempted to sell your investment every time you see the market drop a huge percentage, also it is also a thing and wrong if your investment your only income to cryptocurrency because it is still a very risky investment in the end, it is surely going to temp you if you really are depending on your cryptocurrency profit. So make sure to make multiple sources of income or at least have savings before even starting to invest in cryptocurrency to avoid losing money.

I really notice that compared to the past years of my investment, I can already control my emotions about cryptocurrency investment because I already have multiple sources of income I don't really need to make money quickly in case the market drops I don't really care because I have money that I can use to survive and buy what I want.
676  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Belatedly come back with interest in Bitcoin. on: September 18, 2023, 04:56:21 PM
For several days, I have been hearing a lot of buzz about Bitcoin on various online platforms and social media. Although I had no idea about Bitcoin,  so I didn't bother with it.
But one day, suddenly, after learning about the importance of Bitcoin from my friends, I became very interested in Bitcoin.
That's why, from now on, I want to know and learn more about Bitcoin. Although it must be said that my interest was born quite late, I am still glad that it was not too late.
I hope I can learn more about Bitcoin from this community, and the community will help me learn it.

I mean it was never too late to start your cryptocurrency journey for sure, there are always going to be opportunities in the market to invest if you really want to, It was a cycle so it might take a long time but there are opportunities to buy Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. But in my opinion, this is already a good time to invest since the market is still sustained at a certain market price there was no kind of hype in the market and probably 26k$ around that price is still a good market price to invest in cryptocurrency even though it was already a big amount of money to most of the investors.

You are already here in the forum, this was probably the best website where you could learn Bitcoin and cryptocurrency since there are a lot of experienced members here who could easily help you and suggest your problems about your cryptocurrency journey. You could pretty much ask them about their suggestions something like how you could start your investment on Bitcoin and what are the strategy that you could use as well.

677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is only Bitcoin and nothing else on: September 18, 2023, 03:31:43 PM
I was going through coinmarketcap today to see some of the cryptocurrencies I was involved in when I started, I was so surprised to see that a lot of them have even been delisted. I was heartbroken seeing that some tokens who raised millions of dollars, had huge community and were trending even in various platforms just died. I wanted to not mention any particular token but I have to mention PumaPay that raised about $8 million yet could not deliver anything and got investors holding a bag of shit.

If one can turn back the hand of time, and assuming I joined this forum early when I started my crypto journey, maybe the concept of shitcoins would have dawn on me and that would have made me convert those worthless bags to Bitcoin when I could.

I know there are other who would have similar experience too and there are still others caught up in the euphoria of getting rich through one token or the other. Well, if it is not Bitcoin, it is not worth holding.

For sure this kind of shitcoins or alternative token wasn't really worth it as an investment, especially for long-term investment people this token doesnt really have use, or the project is probably just made to fail so that the developers are just gonna end up scamming the investor's money, it was really a pretty common thing in altcoins back in the day since there was a lot of ICO project back in the day and most of them are also scams, early investors might get lucky if the token will get listed at some point on exchanges.

I mean when it comes to profit you could also rely on some blue chip tokens in the market since they will probably skyrocket as well when Bitcoin starts to gain momentum and increase its market price to the moon. But there is no doubt that Bitcoin is the king when it comes to investment because it is just the nature of Bitcoin will only a 21 million supply we surely it is going to increase its market price in the future if Bitcoin still exists in the future.

679  Economy / Economics / Re: for anyone interested in how much their personal data is worth on: September 17, 2023, 10:44:56 PM
That is interesting but most people doesnt really care about their personal data just completely selling it or giving it to companies without even having doubt about it, It is really difficult to protect our personal data these days because big blue chip companies are probably the ones who is selling our personal data we just dont know about it, but personally, it's going to be a different story when we are talking about the KYC data since it can already be used in some scams or identity thief. So I am already cautious when I give my KYC, I only give it to legitimate websites that are already trusted by a lot of people, but even that even big platforms are getting hacked and leaking people's personal data.

so about 0.11$ with a few billion users could easily be a big amount of money for sure, we sure are talking about millions of pesos selling personal data, but I guess this wasn't just a single pay since probably they are going to sell those to a lot of companies where they would get a lot of traffic as per advertising or promoting thing right. The scary thing here is when you actually do a KYC and these days loaning thing is probably a big business with probably only 1 ID you could already loan a fair amount of money which probably going to happen when they leak your ID.
680  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will reach all-time-high before halving. - BitQuant on: September 17, 2023, 10:15:09 PM
No, #Bitcoin is not going to top before the halving.
Yes, it's going to reach a new all-time high before the halving.
No, #BTC is not going to $160K because the magnitude of every pullback is large. This means it will peak after the halving, in 2024. And yes, the target price is around $250K.

What BitQuant is saying is that before the next halving, bitcoin will reach all-time-high but it will not be the all-time-high before a massive bear market will begin again. That bitcoin will later still increase up to $250000 after halving, which would be the all-time-high.

I know some of you people will agree that bitcoin may reach $250000. What about bitcoin to reach all-time-high before halving? As for me, I do not think so and the all-time-high I am predicting is $170000.

For sure just based on the Bitcoin timeline it will not reach its all-time high before the halving most of the time there will probably be a pump at some point before halving it is probably because people wanted to invest because of the Bitcoin halving event but it is going to happen probably months before the halving, but on the halving day there was mostly no big movement on the market, But after the halving most of the time it is already going to start to gain its momentum and probably after 365 days somewhere around that we are going to reach the all-time high at some point which is probably gonna surpass 100k$.

This is just based on the Bitcoin halving timeline sure it is still not accurate since we cant really predict the market price of bitcoin at any given time, there are just a lot of factors affecting the market price so something could just come up and destroy the past timeline where we get the analysis. The price is just depending on supply and demand so it's still a risky investment. But the important thing is it's going to happen soon so just keep on HODLing your investment.
