661  Other / Meta / Re: Q: Should Lauda *really* be a moderator of bitcointalk A: no on: August 31, 2016, 09:36:07 AM
The thing i love about the internet is that is doesn't matter if you are male, female or an alien everyone get treated the same.

That's false. You need to get a lesson by posing as a female in an all male chatroom, or posing as a female on an online game. I have experience with games in which there are female moderators, and they are obviously treated worse.
Ok if you have seen that discrimination happen on another forum with female moderators then prove it to me.
You will first have to prove the moderators on such forum are in fact female and Lauda is also female for your argument to work.

You can PM me this proof or create another thread, it's time to stop hijacking this thread.

Of course when I call out members on their blatant sexism, you would consider it "hijacking the thread".

I don't need to prove that Lauda is female, because the people complaining about her are using female pronouns, she passes as a female for them, and that's why they complain about her.

You can see examples of females being targeted in online forums here and here.

662  Other / Politics & Society / Black man shot dead for not holding door open for woman on: August 31, 2016, 09:31:11 AM
In a tragic preclusion of male privilege, Mohammed Robinson, a 31 year old father of two, was shot dead in Las Vegas for failing to hold the door open for a woman.

The woman complained to her male companion, who retaliated by drawing his weapon and proceeding to shoot the black male.

Robinson's 14 year old daughter spoke on the issue:

“It was a stupid reason, honestly, irrelevant. It doesn’t make any sense why would you actually take someone’s life over not opening a door,”, Miniya Sampson told the press, “It’s horrible. I want my dad back and you took him away from me!”. Her best friend reportedly witnessed the shooting.

Police are still looking for the suspect, hoping that the surveillance footage from McDonald's will give them some leads. However, there isn't much to be expected, since the perpetrator was a white male.
663  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Christian BS on: August 31, 2016, 09:19:25 AM
I think the Christians in this thread need a warm congratulations from us all.
Giving us such a real deep in-depth demonstration of the BS they speak, has been a real eye-opener for the rest of us and must be quite fatiguing for them to constantly keep their BS levels high.

Thanks.  Smiley

Lol, ain't it brilliant??

Among the greatest miracles of the Bible include the ability to spew out even the most absurd of claims, and still have otherwise reasonably intelligent Christians suffer from cognitive dissonance as they attempt to explain how something so mundane can be correct, like God creating plants before the Sun.
664  Other / Politics & Society / Re: It is time to Ban Religion on: August 31, 2016, 09:10:02 AM
I think it is time to ban religion on Earth.

Religion brings war, division, ignorance, hate and it holding the progress of our civilization.

I think it's time to ban breathing. It causes carbon emissions and boosts global warming.

Breathing does not incite violence through irrational fear mongering. Nice try though, troll.

(Also, breathing is practiced by all the humans in the world, religion is not)

Global warming causes droughts and floods which causes hunger and violence.
Breathing causes violence and should be banned.

Fallacy of false cause. Breathing does not cause violence. Organized Abrahamic faiths explicitly dictate, with specific instructions on how to kill infidels/heathen/gentiles/apostates.
665  Economy / Services / Re: Free Psychic Services on: August 31, 2016, 07:43:56 AM
I don't see what the big deal is. There are psychic readers that operate on the streets, or in magic shows, or even in their own stores, they're essentially everywhere. Why make a big deal about it on Bitcointalk?

If anything, we need to embrace it as diversity in the Bitcoin market.
666  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 5 reasons for global marijuana legalization on: August 31, 2016, 07:30:45 AM
States with legalized marijuana find a 25% decrease in painkiller associated deaths.

The 13 states that had legalized medicinal marijuana between 1999 to 2010 have found a 25% decrease in deaths due to overdose of legally prescribed opioids, according to a study by the Journal of the American Medical Association in 2014.
667  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 18 year old black student awarded $1 by Jury for warrantless raid on: August 31, 2016, 07:14:26 AM
Wow he got screwed over! I wonder if the same outcome would have happened if he were white?

The receiving $1 in punitive damages? Probably. The warrantless raid and the choking, handcuffing? Probably not. Also, if the victim were a white college student, he would be making front page news on every media source out there.

I think it is time to ban religion on Earth.

Why ban religion? It symbolizes ones dignity. It is the source of someone's Mora being. Though there is lot of religion we just need to respect their beliefs for us to be respected too. Politics is the reason of war those in position who wants to conquer the world or ones territory.

If religion is the source of your moral being, then you have a really absurd sense of morality. You're basically saying that if there wasn't the threat of eternal damnation, you would not have a sense of morality. Also, the Bible has a wicked understanding of right and wrong. For instance, selling your daughters into slavery, or stealing virgin children as spoils of war is "right", but touching a mountain or picking up some sticks on Saturday are all "wrong" acts, which will result in you receiving the death penalty.

The huffington post editors room:

 Smiley

Wow, so much diversity. I guess this is what xhomerx10 means when he says it is a left winged news source. They simply do not hire black people.

Imagine that.  A left-wing news blog not wanting to publish right-leaning political rhetoric.
No doubt he was fired "with cause".  I read the article about Hillary's health and it was very poorly written; laced with immature hyperbole.
He's right to be afraid but not for his reasons.  He should be afraid he'll be unable to land another writing gig... anywhere #Orwellianmyass

Criticism of Hillary Clinton is not right leaning political rhetoric, because Hillary is right winged. Also, the article was not poorly written, it fared quite well on their website before it was taken down actually. Also, if he were fired "with cause", the standard procedure is to give a written notice of their decision to remove the article, and to terminate employment. The way he was terminated was very clandestine. He was just doing his job, reporting on a potential presidential candidate's health concerns, as Huffington Post had similarly done in 2008 regarding John McCain (You'll be using the phrase "double standards" a lot when it comes to liberalism).

Also, as for your statement about being "unable to land another writing gig", he has already landed a temporary contract with PrisonPlanet.

Just curious, why defend an obvious fascist on a forum like Bitcointalk?

I didn't defend anyone.  The article IS political rhetoric AND it sucked ass.  It was a cheeky opinion piece (aside from lesions, siezure and adrenaline pens).  Also, Hillary is a democrat ergo left-wing.  You are simply wrong on that point.
If he was doing his job, he would not have lost his contract.  He was not an employee of Huffington Post; merely a contributor so it's dead easy to get rid of him.  Sure Alex Jones will give him a chance at PrisonPlanet but when he doesn't pass muster Alex will turf him as well.  Alex doesn't have much interest in crypto currency - what else can Seaman write about?

Hillary Clinton is not left wing. Her voting record supports my statement. Her campaign logo is an arrow pointing right, she got her influence from Barry Goldwater, who happened to vote against the Civil Rights Act.

In fact, in 1996, she claimed she was still proud of her conservative roots.

"I feel like my political beliefs are rooted in the conservatism that I was raised with. I don’t recognize this new brand of Republicanism that is afoot now, which I consider to be very reactionary, not conservative in many respects. I am very proud that I was a Goldwater girl."

Barry Goldwater was a segregationist, meaning he supported policies which deemed the white man superior to all other races.

Furthermore, Hillary Clinton voted for the Iraq War, referring to it as a "business opportunity". The war is considered to be a complete disaster by liberals and conservatives alike in modern times. She also has close ties with Henry Kissinger, who is notorious for his advocacy of the military industrial complex.

She also voted for legislation which bailed out Wall Street (ie intervention in the market, but beneficial to the 1%, which puts her in the Republican spot). While Bush signed TARP in 2008, Hillary Clinton was one of its advocates, voting for it to take effect.

Additionally, Hillary Clinton voted for the Patriot Act in 2001, then again to reauthorize it in 2006. Again, not very left winged. Then finally, she also voted for 2006 legislation to create a border fence between the US and Mexico. She has blamed the Mexican government for "pushing migration North" in a very Trumpish manner. Again, these are all signs that she is a right winged Republican, not a Democrat.

I look at what the voting record is, I look at what they do, not just what they say. Because Hillary Clinton will say anything to get elected.

Proving once again that Donald Trump is merely a scapegoat in the Liberal Democratic agenda. Let's look at a list of Trump's most controversial:....

So we can see clearly, it does not matter who is elected, left wing or right wing, they are both part of the same head.

This kind of statement has been made in EVERY presidential election.

In this particular case it is dead wrong.

Did you just ignore everything I had written in my original post? The same bad foreign policies will continue to be expanded under the new President, as they have been expanding consistently. Also:

* Both parties authorize prohibition and scheduling of substances

* Both parties have signed bills authorizing the surveillance, indefinite detention, and suspension of the due process of American citizens on US Soil. The Patriot Act and the NDAA received support from both parties

* Both parties have authorized drone bombs in the Middle East, which only seek to further radicalize the area. Both parties support interventionism.

* Both parties have signed bills authorizing use of drones as patrolling devices in the American airspace (See The FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012)

* Both parties support the federal reserve scam. Both parties have played a role in its foundation.

* Both parties believe the government should regulate marriage between two consenting adults.

* Both parties had spent over a billion dollars in their 2012 Presidential campaigns.

* Both parties support US intervention in Israel's illegal occupations of Palestine.

* Both parties are backed by the same corporations and special interest groups.

I'm going to stop here, because I know that if I add more, you guys will stop reading the post. I hope my point has been clear now though.

If we could get a bunch of fascists to use Bitcoin, the price would skyrocket.    Cool

Donald Trump already has his own alt-coin Tongue
673  Other / Off-topic / Re: PM Me For Skype Sex on: August 30, 2016, 09:55:28 PM
I feel like the reason why she won't post her picture here is because someone might do a reverse image search and find the "stash", in previews of a 10+ Gigs torrent file.

The stash being, of course, the pictures of whoever she may be using.

Of course, this is all opinionated, I have no evidence for what I have stated above.

He won! Grab the case number and run with it. Why? Because when it happens to you, you have precedent, and the winnings will get bigger as time goes by.

Cool

Lol, appreciate you seeing the positive side of things.
675  Other / Politics & Society / Trump or Clinton: Does it matter? on: August 30, 2016, 09:51:04 PM
Proving once again that Donald Trump is merely a scapegoat in the Liberal Democratic agenda. Let's look at a list of Trump's most controversial:

1) (On ISIS) "I would bomb the shit out of them"

"They have some in Syria, some in Iraq. I would bomb the s--- out of 'em. I would just bomb those suckers. That's right. I'd blow up the pipes. ... I'd blow up every single inch. There would be nothing left. And you know what, you'll get Exxon to come in there and in two months, you ever see these guys, how good they are, the great oil companies? They’ll rebuild that sucker, brand new — it'll be beautiful."

Pay attention to that last part. He mentions multinational corporations taking advantage of the military industrial complex, by capitalizing on post-war areas. This is something that is already being done under both the Democratic/Republican presidencies. It's called the corporatocracy, and there is a book by John Perkins about this (I highly recommend you check out "The Confessions of an Economic Hitman"). So, what exactly is it that's so chilling or terrifying about Trump's message, when we are already doing that? We saw how Obama lets a wedding in Yemen get bombed, then proceeds to authorize bombing Doctors Without Borders, do they really expect us to think that, just because they have a (D) next to their name, that they will care?

2) (On immigration) "I will build a great great wall around our Southern border, and I will have Mexico pay for that wall"

To start, I would like to say that Obama has deported more people than any other President. Great, now that we have that cleared up, I'll also add that Obama has made plans to build a wall in Jordan, spent $75 million "securing the border" (read: More walls) of which $15 million was spent by the Mexican government (Trump isn't getting his material out of nowhere). Also see, plans to raise the White House wall by 5 feet

So we can see clearly, it does not matter who is elected, left wing or right wing, they are both part of the same head.
676  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Christian BS on: August 30, 2016, 09:23:57 PM
Christianity is so contradictory

+1

Christians are simply unwilling to take the time to think about what they are reading in the bible, if at all.

LOL... Christians don't actually read their bible... if they read it, they would become Atheists

LOL!

That's why there are Bible classes in churches all around the world

Exactly my point... Christians need cherry picked verses read to them...

They do not read it themselves, cover to cover... or they would become atheists

When in doubt... ask google:
https://www.google.com/#q=the+fastest+way+to+become+an+atheist

Agree. I didn't really care when I was younger. A friend of mine went to a few hallelujah meetings and was "born again"
He asked me to read the bible and I did. The book is really disgusting. I have been an atheist ever since.
I talked to my friend and told him to read the book. He is also an atheist after he did it.
The things he was told about the bible in church turned out to be lies

You are especially blessed to have me here to tell you how important the Bible is for your salvation. Your friends, obviously, didn't have the proper urging. But you can be saved, because I am helping you if you will only accept it.

Like your friends, if you reject, you will not be saved.

Cool

Usually when someone claims that you need "saving" from something that cannot be proven, they are trying to sell you something. Psychiatry is a great example of this. Religion is another.

I should report you for scamming (Just kidding).
677  Other / Meta / Re: Forum users targetted for their religious/political views, and I don't like it! on: August 30, 2016, 09:19:53 PM
Another case of such a treatement is user Abou Talha that received negative trusts for his avatar. Thought it's true that it is a bit explanatory about the guy, it is nowhere prohibited.

Just Googled it, I cannot believe it. I am already on all the watchlists, but this will create more opportunities for the NSA to spy on me for sure Sad

It seems that the community has found the trust system to be a way to disapprove of unlikeable individuals.
678  Other / Politics & Society / 18 year old black student awarded $1 by Jury for warrantless raid on: August 30, 2016, 09:17:46 PM
An Indiana Jury has decided to award an 18 year old black high school student $1 in damages, after he was unlawfully arrested, choked, handcuffed, and beat in a mistaken identity case after police officers entered his home without a warrant.

In 2012, Indiana police entered the boy's home without a warrant, shaking him awake and punching him six times, before tasering him and placing him in the backseat of a police car. Handcuffed, Deshawn Franklin demanded to know what he had done wrong. The police officers responded by telling him he had fit the physical description of someone they were looking for. Specifically, the description was "Dreadlocks". Despite being a popular choice of hair among black youth in America, he was taken into custody.

The police later realized their error, and promptly released him from the vehicle. The jury agreed that a Fourth Amendment violation had occurred, and decided to award him $1 USD in damages (0.0017 BTC).

In addition, the city insists that the Franklin family pay $1,500 in legal expenses.

The police department investigated themselves and cleared themselves of any wrongdoing.

I understand "why" we have to download it. But oh man, it's awful! I wish I knew I was in for eighty gigs about three years ago, when I got into Armory.

Back then it was only around 30 gigs, doable in a day. There has got to be an easier way. Let's hope that when the blockchain size hits something like 20 T, internet services will also have kept up and evolved at the same rate.
