661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want to see Bitcoin legal in your country? on: October 12, 2021, 12:50:15 PM
Bitcoin is still legal in many countries and illegal in many countries. Do you want, Bitcoin to be legal in your country?
Do you feel the need to legalize Bitcoin in your country?
Are your ideas about Bitcoin positive or negative?
What is your personal opinion about this?
What do you think, if bitcoin is legalized in your country, the country will be improved or will be damaged?
I definitely want Bitcoin to be legal in my country, and I feel the need to make Bitcoin legal in my country.

Thankfully, bitcoin is still not criminalized in most countries. While some countries seem ready to start embracing it, others are showing resistance. In Europe, even though the European Central Bank, has sent out a few alerts regarding cryptocurrencies, we still have financial freedom and there is no regulation in place. In my country only now the government is starting to be aware of this new technology, but up until now, no stifling laws have been passed. I hope it stays that way.
662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Twitter can make impact in the BTC world? on: October 12, 2021, 12:06:31 AM
It has become a strange place where demonstrably wrong content receives many likes and retweets. While accurate posts receive no attention at all.

Unfortunately, I think that is kind of a disease that is affecting all spheres of media content.

It so happens that once upon a time, Truth and Lie met at the beach. It was a very beautiful sunny day and the sea was quiet and very inviting. Truth and Lie were talking about how lovely the day was. Lie looked like she was very happy bragging about the beautiful day and how the sea was so appetising. After long chitchat, Lie asked Truth if she would like to go for a swim. Truth thought to herself that Lie looked genuinely happy and since it was indeed a hot, sunny and beautiful day she decided to accept Lie's proposal and go for a swim. Truth took out her clothing and happily plunged into the water. Lie, took advantage of Truth's distraction and picked up Truth's close while running away. Once Truth realized that she had been fooled by Lie, she fell ashamed and hid in the water, waiting for Lie to come back and return her clothing.

To this day, Lie is living happily, going everywhere and anywhere dressed as Truth, while the real Truth is still hiding in the water waiting for Lie to return her clothing...

663  Economy / Economics / Re: Fuel prices hitting an eight year high on: October 11, 2021, 11:28:10 PM
Well, they sure want us to abandon fossil fuels and this all seems to me, an orchestrated move. Fuel prices are doomed to go over the counter as this will be a way to force people to move from fossil fuels onto electric energy-powered vehicles. The problem is that electric energy-powered is not the future. The future of mobility is Hydro.
664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my bitcoin if I die today? on: October 10, 2021, 02:47:03 PM
Bitcoin as a Decentralized Cryptocurrency has no physical structure just like the bank. It’s basically stored in a digital wallet/account being operated from a mobile device and its security embedded there also. In creating Defi wallet or block chain account no available section for next of kin or third party details Its always advised to keep Recovery Phrase details secret  in save location, these will help in recovering the wallet.

Literally bitcoin details remain secret and personal to me. If I continue to keep my details secret of what use would it be to me when I’m no more and my love ones can’t benefit from my bitcoin? Here is my question what happens to the bitcoin of someone who died and didn’t disclose his/her wallet details to anyone? please I need response . Would the bitcoin be abandoned in the wallet forever?? Would it be a waste of bitcoin?

Charles-Tim, presented you with two fair enough options to endure your kids will access your funds if you die. However, the fact is that almost every "Bitcoiner" is not prepared and has no clue on how to proceed. If you die today and you haven't told your kids how they can retrieve your coins, the outcome will be most likely that your coins will be tightly locked onto your wallet forever. IMO, I think we should be prepared. We should always share some important passwords with our kids and let them know about cryptos and how everything works. As a safeguard you could stash all the important documents in a suitcase. Over there you can leave clues on how to access your funds.
665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The HODL to 100K movement on: October 10, 2021, 01:32:22 AM
Lol, you can't get everyone to "HODL". Even if everyone does hold with you and the price goes up, you can anticipate a massive crash coming soon. People were holding till 100k. Once the price has reached that point, most of the people would be selling their bitcoin to take their profits. This will cause a massive dip. So instead of seeing such insane/massive dips, its better the way it is right now - some people holding, some people selling.

You are absolutely right! It would be a massive movement to see BTC reach 100k by December. Not saying it is not possible, but as you said, even if Bitcoins shoots up to 100k the chances of having a Big Dip right after are enormous. I'm selling at 99k as I guess there will be a Blood bath as the likes we have never seen when Holders start dumping hard.
666  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betfair like cryptobetting sites on: October 09, 2021, 01:18:01 PM
Here's the list of betting exchanges from Peeps' sportsbook thread. I haven't tried them all but I think Fairlay is the best out of them all and probably the closest to Betfair since they offer a wide range of sports. The only thing that sucks is their withdrawal fee ($25~) but it can still go down ($12~) if you earn enough vip points.

Exchanges
exbet.io (2019)
fairlay.com (2014)
degens.com (2017)
sportx.bet (2019)

Thanks for your answer. This is what I was looking for. Fairlay, looks like the one with the most volume but I'm not too fan of the interface. Exbet, on the other hand, looks about right. Pretty similar to Betfair and it even allows us to connect Sports betting software such as Geektoys through API. The only downside of Exbet is that you can only use BTC. As for Sportx, it allows betting directly from your wallet using Ethereum. Would be great they could implement other protocols such as BSC or Polygon. As for Degens, it doesn't look much appealing and doesn't have enough volume.

667  Economy / Gambling / Betfair like cryptobetting sites on: October 09, 2021, 01:37:21 AM
Back in the days Betfair was allowed in my country I used to do a lot of sportsbook bet trading but since it has been forbidden I haven't found any other real good alternatives. I was wondering if any of you guys know any Sports bet trading crypto site similar to Betfair?
668  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Rate the Exchange based on your Experience on: October 08, 2021, 08:23:21 PM
Being a crypto holder, you all must have used one or more exchange at some point of time or most of you frequently use it.
Please share which exchange you find much better in terms of customer support and issues resolution.
This is not for exchange that has high liquidity because we all know of them.
This rating should entirely be based in terms of their customer support, duration of kyc process etc.

Apart from decentralized exchanges of which btw I advise Bisq, I only use 3 exchanges nowadays. Kraken, Binance and Poloniex. The one I guess outperforms the others is actually Kraken. Kraken has a good support. Fast answers to questions and problems get solved. With Binance, luckily I have never had to request support whereas, for Poloniex, I have reached out to support a couple of times and let's just say the experience was not what I was expecting. All in All, my vouch goes to Kraken as I have been using it for a few years now and always had timely support.
669  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best free trading Signals telegram channels on: October 08, 2021, 03:34:08 PM
I am looking for a free trading Signals telegram channels. I know there are many paid ones too who have free channels too. I am looking for the best ones among all.
I don't have plan to join paid, but will join the free ones which provide value.

You do know that Signal Groups are in their grand majority scams. I do follow a few Telegram Crypto trading Signals groups and only a couple are for real. The way I have found to make money using the information provided by signal groups was to do the exact opposite of the signals provided.
670  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Fintech based on mining - heliosfund.io on: October 08, 2021, 01:57:40 PM
hi,

we are starting a fintech based on mining, fully regulated with a EU license:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xeu564gK2D2HcODvy-5gihYBiFir4CCe/view?usp=drivesdk

Miners will be located in EU, free facilities, only cost is the electricity bill.

looking for investors.

This is the project, if you like it hit me up on Telegram: @thisisalie22

www.heliosfund.io (site under construction)

Hey man, I'm sorry to say but just by visiting the website, I got scared. It has all the traces of a Ponzi scheme. I would advise you to rethink the website and the whole strategy. Maybe add an attachment to the EU Regulation Licence would help. Cloud Mining is hardly a profitable business and one of the utmost things you should and avoid is mentioning so high returns.
671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Gold: Superiority on: October 08, 2021, 11:20:00 AM
Right now, Gold is increasingly being searched for its characteristics as a raw material due to the space industry. However, Gold is only scarce on our planet as while in the cosmos it is an abundant material. In case space companies start Space mining, once they get to an asteroid that has more Gold than in the earth its price will surely plummet. Contrary to that, bitcoin will only ever have 21M assets and that number cannot change. This makes it one of the scarcest assets on earth and the logic is that its price, due to its real-life application, increases indefinitely.
672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Satoshi about to show up? on: October 08, 2021, 02:09:57 AM
Hello, I was wondering why 21M? maybe SN wanted to keep 1M himself, then, when BTC hits 1.000.000, donate 1.000.000.000.000 to charities or make some kind of good actions? would be great, besides of giving us this beautifull gift. Its about to happen any time soon....thanks for reading.

21M, I guess that's the whole beauty of it. It is what makes it scarce. I don't think SN will ever show up. It wouldn't be good for him. Everyone wants a piece of him. Have you wondered if by any chance he presented himself to the world what would happen? I guess the same moment he showed he would disappear the same instant. Either Secret Agencies would get him, or the IRS would lock him down. One thing is for sure, he would not last long.
673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Future on: October 07, 2021, 11:54:05 PM
I guess you are not seeing things that straight...

•Bitcoin replacing Banks.

-Nah. Won't happen. Banks will step in and create their own use cases (if they haven't already)

•Robotics replacing manpower.

-Probably one day, but not sometime soon. We will be seeing a progressive change on several jobs that were primarily done by humans, but humans will still be on top of the decision chain

•Uber replacing Taxi's.

-Not right. They can coexist. They can both do the other's job.

•Amazon replacing Bookstores.

-Wrong again. Amazon may have seen its golden days but they are still here to give a fight. There will be always someone buying from Amazon.

•AirBnB replacing Hotels.

-Not going to happen. While Airbnb may be offering the same service as Hotels in the near future, each business can diversify the target users to get and can both coexist. Airbnb may be stepping into the long term rental market sooner than going into hotel business.

I think the hassle is always about change. There will be always the ones who fiercely fight for it while others will be the reaction.

674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have any real value? on: October 07, 2021, 07:52:50 PM
Bitcoin is not backed by any physical asset like Gold nor by any fiat currency. It makes me wonder if I should invest/trade in Bitcoin or not?

Bitcoin is backed by a powerful decentralized network. First and foremost it is a decentralized asset that doesn't need any middle man to be transacted while giving full control to the owner.

Its intrinsic value lies on it being tied to Accountability, Divisibility, Fungibility, Transparency, and Scarcity. It is Censorship free and is not controlled by any Government or corporation. Its value is determined by demand. Here's why you should invest in Bitcoin
675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is telling people you're into stocks "cool" but crypto is a big secret? on: October 07, 2021, 12:35:18 PM
Well, I guess it has a lot to do with if you want to lay low or not. While some people still see cryptos as something tied to illegal activity, others already recognise the real potential it brings. I only speak about cryptos with close friends. I consider myself as a Crypto-Evangelist as I always try to pass the word along, but when speaking with people I'm not familiar with, I usually avoid speaking about it unless the subject comes. Thing is, while we need to advocate for cryptos, we always need to be careful with whom you speak about it and what you reveal about your personal crypto owning as this can become a security issue as well.
676  Economy / Economics / Re: Why exchanges are charging a big amount as transaction fee on withdrawal on: October 05, 2021, 03:17:40 PM
Please post the exchanges with the low transaction fee and good trading volume. Maybe next time it'll help me.

I normally just convert my coins to another currency on an exchange as they'll try to steal whatever they can anyway (0.0005+ btc transaction fees are quite unreasonable). If you can't work out a good currency to covert to, I normally use Litecoin for low fees and high acceptance/liquidity from other exchanges.

Yeah, I normally use LTC as well, but before all the dogecoin craze I would always use Doge to move coins from an exchange. In terms of speed and cost of transactions fees, Dogecoin was awesome. Now, I simply use LTC as it is fast and less costly. Remember that Exchanges are businesses that run for profit so they will always get their share. If there are none or close to no trading fees, then exchanges will surely have an expensive withdraw\deposit fee, that is simply how they work.
677  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking loan to trade is a risky task on: October 05, 2021, 02:01:21 PM
If a beginner in crypto trading, follow as advised:

-Don't use money you cannot lose
-Don't borrow money
-learn about trading and trading strategies
-learn about trading tools and indicators
- build a plan using a strategy
-Stick to the plan
-backtest
-backtest
-backtest several strategies
-Build a plan
-stick to the plan
-backtest
-Stick to the plan
-backtest
++Do the same steps all over again before starting to trade with real money

Bear in mind,  you should only borrow money if you are sure that you will be able to repay the debt in a short term \ fixed term. And I'm not even speaking about trading.
Given that trading is an extremely risky business it is not advisable for someone with no trading experience to borrow money for trading. It will be like throwing money into a bottomless pit. If you are not an experienced trader, trading will be like playing the lottery. My advice for anyone who is beginning its trading journey is to learn as much as possible and backtest in a simulated environment every strategy until you consistently get profits. After that, one may start with a small amount while trying to apply all the profitable strategies in real trading.

678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How has Bitcoin Changed your life? on: October 05, 2021, 11:50:13 AM
Just interested to hear everyone's stories are really! some of us have been on this ride years, some of us days, but I'm curious what places/people/events have occured in your life because of Bitcoin??

For me personally, my love of Bitcoin lead me to applying and getting a job at a Bitcoin Exchange in my dream role... Pretty surreal! Now because of this I get to be involved in the bitcoin community daily, as we at CoinCorner like to stay active with fellow bitcoiners whenever we can!

So yeah thats my pleb story and where it's lead me... Have any of you been lead to any life changing events because of the Bitcoin? I wanna hear them!

Nice to hear you made it into the community. Bitcoin also changed my life for the better. I guess it's fair to say you got a dream job alright. I have been in cryptos for a few years now, and would much like to work in the industry. The crypto Industry is growing at a fast pace and new opportunities are opening every day. I hope I can get my dream as well.
679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Quitting Bitcoin Mining Is Very Positive in Long Term on: October 04, 2021, 12:22:03 PM
One thing is for sure: Government Crackdowns have only worked as FUD. It's not the first time China legislates against crypto, nor it will be the last. As soon the news came out, bitcoin lost ground but it hold just fine. We are now seeing it recover. Who wouldn't say this was all just an orchestrated move with the ultimate goal of allowing Chinese investors to get more BTC at cheap prices? Besides, China is looking to launch its digital currency so, they will need to prepare grounds. I believe we should all look at the move as one of its first steps towards the implementation of its National digital currency.
680  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: is there such a thing as a non-scam cloudmining operation ? on: October 03, 2021, 02:12:20 PM
Are they all just simply scams?   or are there actually some legit ones out there ?

If you want to start mining cryptos, forget about cloud mining. I have used Hashnest for cloud mining and all I did was losing money. Even though Hasnest is Bitmain's cloud mining arm and one of the most trusted cloud mining services it failed to give any profits at all. If you want to get into cloud mining be prepared to put together an operation on your own and avoid cloud mining services at all costs.
