661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Pizza Day 2019 on: May 17, 2019, 02:47:01 AM
The day is very significant and the receiver of the 10,000BTC for a pizza must be someone full of faith. Hahaha, I wish I knew about this at that stage, I should have been financially free now, maybe I would have turned a financial adviser, these days, bitcoin is still cheap.
662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The key to configuring on: May 16, 2019, 03:57:36 PM
A lot of persons daily visit my office and I talk to them about bitcoin, the first thing they say is "I heard it has crashed as per price wise" I will ask them "do you how it works? they would say not really but I know it's like a Ponzi Scheme. Well, people need to be carefully educated. We that are here at this time are extremely fortunate.
663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The only safe haven currency is Bitcoin on: May 16, 2019, 03:52:06 PM
Yes, very portable to take around as long as we have our device intact and the internet is present( although I heard of some work going on to send bitcoin without the internet, but still need the internet for confirmation). It's equally a good store of value. Since my country has been singing about a cashless economy, this would have been a perfect moment to get it working, but my government is neutral on cryptocurrency.
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Video call for KYC verification on: May 16, 2019, 03:44:50 PM
I don't buy into a Video call for KYC and I equally hate when I have to take a selfie with my ID card held and a handwritten note, all these are just too strict and unnecessary. They should find a way around to verify the submitted document
665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin and Ethereum Pump's up on: May 15, 2019, 01:57:31 PM
Am holding tight to my bitcoin and getting some few altcoin. I bought some ETN, the coin has been down for too long, I hope it joins in the pumping. Holding shitcoin is dangerous some will never resurrect  forever.
666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Arguments against XRP, the biggest shitcoin. on: May 15, 2019, 12:11:17 PM
It's true that XRP is a centralized coin, which the founder own the biggest bag and they can decide to dump big on the market whenever they feel like doing so, but they won't want to kill the project. A guy in my group has been about telling group members to keep buying XRP, I asked members to be-careful of bankers. I will buy some ripple if I had the money and take profit at any slight pump not totally a shitcoin until the team announces otherwise.
667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should hold or sold BNB ? on: May 14, 2019, 11:04:30 AM
Well, people have been trading on Binance and continue to do so, only that they can neither deposit or withdraw. I doubt the fall will be any significant since binance has the fund and techniques to manage BNB. If it dares falls, I will enjoy buying.
668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we entering the FOMO and speculative stage...? on: May 14, 2019, 10:50:37 AM
I don't think it's a case of FOMO, FOMO can't push the total marketcap as high as we currently have. Although we have seen many great news as regards the big institutions entering bitcoin from bakkt features to Microsoft decentralized identity Atop bitcoin. There must certainly be something some of us are not privy to as regards the current market sudden spike. The community members that have any fraction of bitcoin may want to jealously guide it.
669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LEGACY AND SEGWIT WALLET "COMPATIBILITY ISSUE" on: May 13, 2019, 06:59:20 PM
I can't find any article that ImToken wallet support segwit wallet it seems that they only support bitcoin segwit which is an altcoin, not the original bitcoin.

Please, what do you mean by not the original bitcoin? I have been using it for bitcoin transactions and they even admitted that the issue of fee pricing will be fixed, meaning they deliberately did this to collect customers bitcoin.  Never heard of bitcoin Segwit been altcoin before.
670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / LEGACY AND SEGWIT WALLET "COMPATIBILITY ISSUE" on: May 13, 2019, 03:31:10 PM
I had switched to Imtoken from blockchain wallet, this is because Imtoken is a Segwit supported wallet but the blockchain is a non-segwit wallet. As such, it's expected that Segwit supported wallets should have a lower transaction fee as compared to non-Segwit. Imtoken 2.0 has been running many updates, and they ended up removing where I could customise my bitcoin fee instead of just moving the suggested fee mouse backwards until I get to the minimum allowable by the wallet, and the minimum allowable by Imtoken ever since bitcoin started rising has always been 64sat/byte which is 0.00050688btc and that amounts to $3.79, whereas blockchain network fee stood at about $0.6-0.8 as per regular fee.

So I decided to import my ImToken Segwit wallet to blockchain a non-Segwit wallet using the mnemonic phrase of ImToken I had copied down, using the recover fund option, nevertheless, it successfully imported but the bitcoin balance never showed up for hours now. Someone pointed out that: it could be a "legacy and segwit wallet compatibility issue" I am not ready to continue paying high fee using imtoken.

I kindly request someone to educate me on this and recommend a better Segwit wallet. Thank you.
671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HTC releases smartphone in which you could actually run full node on: May 13, 2019, 04:37:53 AM
Nice support from HTC company, I think their phones are not too popular again, as they use to be, they have seen the spike growth in the cryptocurrency community and want to leverage on it by incorporating such technology on their device. Am concerned about the phone life and its health and I hope it will be well protected from hackers. I enjoyed the first HTC I ever use and would later pass it to my cousin.
672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Just a Shady ‘Ponzi Scheme,’ Rants Goldbug Peter Schiff on: May 13, 2019, 04:30:45 AM
Maybe he failed to buy bitcoin when it was $3,300 or probably sold off all his holdings at $4,500 and was thinking it will go back to $3k zone for low buying and boom it's now looking to test $8k and now he doesn't know whether to get in or wait for a better correction hence the ranting because of frustration. He should learn from Dimon Jamie.  The community of bitcoin are united to conquer.
673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to choose Kucoin ??? on: May 10, 2019, 01:58:35 PM
Binance has contributed their quota to the cryptocurrency community and they have been well coordinated until this recent hack case, Kucoin is good, agree but it wasn't Binance fault that they were hacked and more so, they have assured investors that the loss will be covered from the backup fund which is something to be proud off.  Anyone can be a victim of hackers.
674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hardcap ICO is no guarantee that the project will succeed on: May 10, 2019, 01:52:09 PM
ICO is not a guarantee that the project will be successful,
but projects that don't make ICO or premine are usually serious and good projects.
and I also agree on this, what about your opinion?

Projects hitting hardcap can still scam and underperform. Some project that collected good fund couldn't do anything with it, where are Storique, Shivrom and some others? Whereas some projects without ICO or premine are just doing fine, the later have sincerity of purpose and not to scam the public of their money.
675  Economy / Economics / Re: Joseph Stiglitz: ‘We should shut down the cryptocurrencies’ on: May 09, 2019, 10:29:31 AM
He's yet to study cryptocurrency and blockchain and the problem it's solving and it equally aim to solve or he is been sponsored by bad economist elements to discredit an already established system, which way they will fail and eventually use bitcoin and blockchain in the long run. Tell him to do further study and practical then come back and give an unbiased report.
676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Publish0x - The next Steemit? on: May 09, 2019, 10:24:52 AM
I do use it, they do tip in hydro and bounty0x token. It's not really a bad platform. More and more platforms are already springing up. I expect them to improve on Steemit design.
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your thoughts on ETF and its effect in crypto space on: May 08, 2019, 04:11:30 AM
Cryptocurrency market is doing just fine without the SEC approval of the ETF and they are wondering how to even control the system, so what they really understand an in-depth understanding off might be difficult for them to approve, with or without them, the market is going to grow stronger and ETF might beg BTC in the future.
678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins labelled a gambling device on: May 08, 2019, 04:06:44 AM
Good things that are built to last take time for development and eventual acceptance. Bitcoin is still young as to what it aims to achieve, and we shouldn't forget that the government and the banks think bitcoin was created to take financial power from them, hence they are fighting with all their might to see how to keep it under check since they can neither control nor destroy it. So Warren Buffet supports the banks, and he will have to defend his business line until something takes a drastic change in the future.
679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is for scammers, yea right! on: May 08, 2019, 04:02:35 AM
The regulated financial system like the bank has the highest volume of use case by scammers. A scammer may even think his client would suspect them if they are asked to send cash with a cryptocurrency, and they think about the process of getting it to cash and their client understanding of crypto. They will have to stick to their traditional money system.
680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Boom to $100K Will Destroy Altcoins on: May 07, 2019, 02:08:04 PM
Many altcoins will bleed to death, some will definitely survive. Who will hold a shit when the king is turning others into a millionaire? Although before bitcoin can head for $100k, the general market size must increase and this will attract more investors, some investors will definitely invest in altcoins but will stake much of their fund in bitcoin.
