661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NFO] Ethereum = Scam on: July 27, 2014, 11:28:15 AM
Lol at that pic of Vitalik with that t-shirt. Honestly the guy seems legitimate to me, it's just the project itself that puts me off, it's too big, too ambitious, too early to say if investing in such an IPO is insane or not. We'll see, I didn't pull the trigger tho.
662  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much is a normal amount to mine a day? on: July 26, 2014, 11:01:15 PM
What do you mean?
If you want results, that's 24 7. If you want 24 7, I don't recommend using your computer, let alone your laptop as it was poor ventilation. Oh and during summer I wouldn't risk it.

Generally not worth to mine nowadays, even with ASICS imo.

The artwork there is great. Who did it?

Let's say I have a couple spare BTC to invest, why should I bet my money on DRK above XMR at this point in time? XMR hasn't failed me so far in my predictions, but when I look at DRK future wise, it seems to blurry to me.
665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [JOB] Altcoin Developer on: July 26, 2014, 10:56:03 PM
Wouldn't this thread belong in the marketplace subforum? This isn't very appropiate as an announcement of an alt-coin imo, you will get a lot of relevant replies in the other forum.
666  Economy / Economics / Re: My bank account's got robbed by European Commission. Over 700k is lost. on: July 26, 2014, 10:55:04 PM
Im scared AF to cash out on my little Bitcoins I have, it's very scary to know they can froze your entire saving accounts out of nowhere. My friend tried to withdraw 0.5 BTC and he got his bank account frozen until they basically want to unfroze it. I'll have to re-check im doing it all perfect if I ever want to withdraw some BTC.
667  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is China Hoarding Gold? on: July 26, 2014, 10:46:09 PM
Just the same as why they are hoarding Bitcoin: They know fiat will go to shit in the next decades so they are getting ready storing all kind of goods that will sky rocket.
668  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying Silver on: July 26, 2014, 10:44:17 PM
Yeah physical goods are meant to be stored and only sold when you really need it. For example since im poor as fuck the other day I had to sell some gold rings from my family. Really sad, as it was just to pay some bills.
669  Economy / Speculation / Re: Pattern Recognition 101 on: July 26, 2014, 10:34:07 PM
Yup, I also spotted this figure, you can even draw a nice fractal out of this data. I personally expect to test the 400's with a very steady price for a while, then something will trigger the price go ape shit to stablish new ceilings, of course this something always being more and more people being aware on bitcoin.
670  Economy / Speculation / Re: % increase per year on: July 26, 2014, 10:31:44 PM
If you look at any Bitcoin graphic that takes into account prince increases scaled the correct way you'll see the graphic is always going up as you look further, it's interesting how the graphic resembles a stairway that goes up, and we are soon to meet the next stair up. If I find the graphic i'll post it later.
671  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price to be US$3,500,000??? on: July 26, 2014, 10:30:26 PM
Now lets talk about 100K. 100K would be a dream. Is this doable in the next 20 years? Otherwise I will be too old to enjoy my new found wealth. God damn I could be living the life right now, but nooo! I have to be stuck in his fucking shithole of a country. Lucky is literally everything.
672  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price to be US$3,500,000??? on: July 26, 2014, 10:28:37 PM
Not going to happen. As bitcoin gets more expensive, altcoins will provide the supply needed for the utility of bitcoin (doing business) which will reduce the demand and thus price of bitcoin.

Newcomers to crypto-currency aren't going to want to be part of a system where a select few have incredible wealth, hence why they will opt for altcoins instead of bitcoin.

Whats the point? It seems the concept of Bitcoin divisible a lot is not grasped by most people when big ass prices are predicted or proposed as hypothetical scenareos. If you can divice a bitcoin by 0.0000001 times, then whats the problem?
673  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread ;) on: July 26, 2014, 10:23:52 PM
So rpietila is starting a Bitcoin illuminati Rothchild Bildercoin group from hell. Meanwhile im unemployed and still don't have an entire BTC.  Financial freedoom Roll Eyes
674  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread ;) on: July 26, 2014, 10:18:06 PM
O my god, im starting to think Etherum is a guaranteed big ass IPOfloop. I like Vitalik and what he has done thus far but I always had this feeling about Ethereum being something too big for its own that will end up in nothing. God bless the IPO invester's souls.

People can only invest in vapour ware so many times before they realise, in the crypto world people have had plenty of chances to see the test carried out by alts in regards to IPO's. Seems people still need to learn their lesson.

No max supply = no investment from me.

Most people is constantly chasing the Bitcoin dream and hoping every crypto-investment they do experiences a similar black swarn type of price explosions as seen on BTC price evolution. Bad news are: This is not going to happen again. I don't see Ethereum becoming "something".
675  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: July 25, 2014, 11:14:54 AM
I hope stunna doesn't lower the payment rates, the 0.4 is very important to me, unemployment in my country is insane so this is an awesome extra  Cry
676  Economy / Speculation / Re: Something BIG will happen to Bitcoin this week ... or next on: July 25, 2014, 10:37:31 AM
I am entering short on this pullback.

Will short full position at around $610 or so.

Tight stop

The Ethereum crowd probably going to cash out their newly found wealth.

They raised 7k BTC and counting. Can't believe how gullible some people are.

Jesus fucking hell! Imagine if you were in control of 7K BTC out of nowhere and BTC hits 1000 USD again. Are you shtting me? These guys are going to at least cash out on a couple million dollars for sure. I guess we are going to have constant sell resistan celings for a while.
677  Economy / Speculation / Re: The 6th Bitcoin Bubble should come SOON... on: July 25, 2014, 10:33:00 AM
Im hopping for a larger period of stability actually. Feels good to be able to sleep at night in tranquility knowing it's still 600 territory. Also I need a bigger period to get more cheap BTC.

This! And a crash to 450 for a few days would be a dream come true Cheesy

Legit. I may able to finally own 1 full BTC after this much time. Dat poverty lifestyle.
I hope the whales remain dormant for the rest of the summer at least.
678  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the fiat price of Bitcoin is stagnant. on: July 25, 2014, 10:31:50 AM
^ This lol. Look at the graphic from all time perspective, there was a period of months when Bitcoin was like 1 dollar. Get real, constant growth is a fact, but you'll only see it was constantly growing when you step away from the alltime graph in 10 years. Ups and downs ill happen, that will confuse people into incoming crashes or rallies. HODLING is the name of the game for me.

680  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: July 25, 2014, 10:24:37 AM
Look, Vitalik seems like a legit and smart guy to me, but truth be told, the network effect of Bitcoin is just WAY TOO STRONG. We have legit celebs now talking about it on twitter, Snopp Dogg is accepting BTC for his album and Ashton Kutcher is into BTC a lot. Network effect is about to hit critical mass. What chances, possibly, has Etherum to hit such landmarks? How can another coin have the solid infrastructure of Bitcoin ever again? Every coin will get constantly compared with Bitcoin, and bam, that means Bitcoin gets mentioned in every single article about new coins, which makes Bitcoin even bigger. This shit cannot be stopped.
