its not worth anywhere near $2000 .. its only good for a faucet script and profit will come from investment in promotion more than investment in the domain ..

The main purpose of regulation is to de-anonymize bitcoin by controlling the entrance and exit points, ie ensuring that exchanges like coinbase are fully regulated so that when you BUY or SELL bitcoins, you are required to verify your identity. This way, the government knows how much Bitcoin you own at all times and can cross-reference your IRS forms for tax evasion, etc. Also if they decide to ban bitcoin in the future (as they banned gold ownership during WWII), they can simply write you a letter (or show up at your door ..) and demand your Bitcoin. So that's the point of regulation, as always, increased control ... I created https://CoinChimp.com as an ANONYMOUS bitcoin exchange. We NEVER verify identity or require documents from our customers, enabling you to buy and sell btc completely privately.

BTC-e is a joke. As is BitStamp. If you need to buy and sell Bitcoins, do so through LocalBitcoins.com and store them offline in an electrum wallet. I also run https://CoinChimp.com and we encourage users to withdraw their funds to an offline wallet, rather than store them onsite (even though funds are not stored on the server and are completely safe). It is always better when buying bitcoin to get them off the exchange and into your private wallet ..

I don't know, I suspect he is a scammer. It's very suspicious that he would bid $100 on my domain when the second highest was 45. That is always a big red flag.
Still he hasn't come back to the forum yet. once he visited and not replied to any of our thread, i will flagged into admin and leave (-) feedback for his invalid bid. My bid was valid and I sent you funds. Please transfer domain.

Uhmm.. why did you not use escrow for a BTC transaction with a newbie user!? Where's a good escrow? Nobody I contacted on forum ever responded to my messages about escrow.

how about an imperium in imperio within the US and Canada?

its just a way to create more regulations and, therefore, barriers to entry. This will curtail innovation by ensuring that only VERY big players (ie, large corporations or VC-backed companies and Wall St) will be able to enter the Bitcoin sphere.
The government already holds a monopoly on the banking system, which is why we had the 2008 Credit Crisis, S&L Crisis, etc. New innovators cannot compete with the banks because of the barriers to entry in that market. Government wants to apply the same template to Bitcoin ...
And it's all under the deceptive aegis of 'protecting the consumer'
You think the MtGox fraud was big? Hell, that was only $500 million!
How about the 2008 credit crisis, in which the US taxpayer got jacked for FOURTEEN TRILLION? That was directly DUE TO REGULATIONS preventing competition with those fraudulent banks!
America, wake the hell up.

What they call consumer protection translates to banker protection. If they want to help consumers start by paying more attention to the federal reserve.
100% agree with this statement!

bitmessage is just another shining example of what can be accomplished with blockchain technology. Bitcoin itself was just the tip of the iceberg.

Paypal is a total scam/joke and they are integrating bitcoin only because Bitcoin would put them out of business .. legacy payment systems will soon be obsolete

After Silkroad and MtGox and all the negative things being associated with crypto currency, we need to have more people from the community supporting causes like, http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-helps-anti-poaching-teams-new-charity-campaign/ Enough of the bad Press, let's get behind projects like these, and show the world, what BTC is really about. If you have any other projects, like this, please post them, there are people who care, about the world we leave behind. Bitcoin is not 'about' anything, any more than gold is 'about' something. Bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency, period. Bitcoin is 'about' drugs if you buy and sell Yayo on Silk Road. Bitcoin is 'about' charity if you donate some of your BTC to help starving kids in Africa. Bitcoin is 'about' whatever you want it to be about ...
