662  Economy / Collectibles / Re: AVAST! Bitcoin Penny® Spanish Treasures Collection now be here! on: August 03, 2023, 01:07:50 PM
Garrrrr.... received my penny pirate treasure today.
These coins are great....well done sir Cool
Including the wax mold as a COA is genius!!

Thanks, MJ! I was a little worried that my wax seal COA (unique to every coin) would be too strange of an idea, but I loved its simplicity, so I ran with it. (Plus, in my extensive research for this project, I discovered that in the early 1700s, they rarely used holographic security stickers as an anti-counterfeiting measure. Wax seals were much more common.)

Still more coins available, everyone! Buy yours today! Smiley

Regards,
Chris@TBPCo.

Love the presentation! Please put me down for the 1 0zt silver COB 🙏
663  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [REFERENCE THREAD] - Physical Bitcoins in the News on: August 03, 2023, 01:46:10 AM
What a great thread to stumble upon. I just read a great deal about those liberty dollars that the FED and Justice dept went after the maker, and also someone scamming a Cass coin by using a chemical to take the adhesive off of the sticker without messing up the void covering 😳 I had no idea that had been done 10 years ago. Just have to make sure you triple check those seals for tampering on any physical bitcoin if you bought them off the secondary market
664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Certified Bitcoin Professional on: August 03, 2023, 01:18:00 AM
Someone could easily exploit this certification for their own benefit through scamming others. It would have to be an extremely accredited bitcoin bar or something and they don't even exist. Honestly this should exist, there should be a Bitcoin University for all things Blockchain!
665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase CEO Says SEC Told It To Delist Everything But Bitcoin: Report on: August 03, 2023, 01:11:43 AM
The SEC trying to get coinbase to change its name to bitcoinbase pretty much lol. Crazy year for regulating crypto, but honestly if they ended up delisting everything but BTC wouldn't that honestly be a good thing?
666  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Article] Litecoin Halving & a pic of a PCGS slabbed Ballet wallet on: August 03, 2023, 01:04:58 AM
Wow that looks amazing, do we have the exact dimensions of this Slab? Props to Bobby and Charlie on this huge honor for having their product now being graded by one of the top grading companies 👏
667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Not Crypto, The SEC Confirms on: August 02, 2023, 02:44:32 PM
Bitcoin is as good as gold! In fact, its even more scarce. The SEC is embracing bitcoin because they have no other option but to if they want to get in on the action! The Blackrock ETF news is huge, finally they have accepted this. Hopefully we will see some movement soon, with this halving coming up it could get a little turbulent for BTC but definitely due time to CRUSH THESE ATHs! Lets break 100k savvy!?
668  Economy / Economics / Re: The American Dream. What is Your Country's Version of it? on: August 02, 2023, 01:22:59 PM
The "American Dream" that we know today is completely at risk. Everything that we do from this point on as a country (speaking of the US) is crucial to the preservation of this dream. The American dream used to basically consist of an independent life in a free country, someone who was able to secure some land and a house, and build an established business and income stream to provide for ones family. To be a success. Maybe have a farm, or a successful practice which one can do as he pleases, without having to rely on anyone else to make ends meat. It saddens me today when you look at the state of the US and how bizarre everything is now. People struggle all over the world to get a house, it is an extremely hard endeavor today in today's market with the rates where they are and inflation where it is. I hope that America can continue to be a beacon for freedom, and that the American Dream can be preserved! In its own right, a dream shouldn't even have to be an american dream, this is just your dream. What do you want? What are you willing to sacrifice (time, money, hardwork, etc.) to make that dream happen? I think that is whats most important, simply having a dream of your own and having the courage to see it through! Good luck everyone!
669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The beauty of Bitcoin is in use case. on: August 02, 2023, 01:12:15 PM
I feel like we have entered, and have been in another accumulation stage for a while now. The more and more demand for BTC will just place more and more demand for other payment and acceptance options for BTC and other cryptos. The EV space is more advanced compared to traditional gas vehicles so its nice to see those companies embracing the energy of crypto, quite literally.
670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Much Bitcoin Does MicroStrategy Own In 2023? on: August 02, 2023, 01:05:44 PM
If there is one company that makes me extremely bullish on BTC its MS. They just buy buy buy, there is no stopping that train. Saylor is sailing in the BTC!!! Its definitely cool seeing that kind of confidence, from a CEO. He is giving other investors exposure into BTC that don't necessarily want to invest in it directly as well.

672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Education and money as the key to Bitcoin adoption. on: July 27, 2023, 02:51:34 AM
Lack of education, technical knowledge, and awareness has been the major challenge for Bitcoin enthusiasts, it is high time we kick-start the mass eradication of Bitcoin illiteracy in our society, preach about Bitcoin, but don't force it on anyone,

This group of people might not have access to an internet service to get involved in this technology or even funds to invest but for sure many of them want the knowledge to prepare them for future possible investments.

In the absence of internet service the diagrammatic explanation of how the technology works can also help locally.

Generally, the teaching of system transparency may encourage mass adoption when the example is been shown practically.
Some of us never thought of being where we are today in the Bitcoin world, but because of the knowledge we got on how reliable, fast, and decentralized Bitcoin is, we tried and it worked perfectly as we expected.

Some people don't care about Bitcoin because they don't understand how
It works and how it is, and I have made it an obligation to help people that I tell about Bitcoin, that has found it interesting to reach the extent of comprehending what Bitcoin is, and also make them know that the technology has come to stay, irrespective of the availability of cash for investment, acquire the knowledge.

We know that money plays a major role in Bitcoin investment and adoption, over the time many people have complained that money has deprived them of the opportunity to partake in Bitcoin, after getting the knowledge of how the currency works, please my advice to every Bitcoin enthusiast is that no knowledge is a waste, you may not have the money to invest today, but learning about this technology is the first stage you have to cross in other to get the main thing.
So the other stuff which is money becomes secondary, continue pushing, any day you get the funds to invest in your own time, stop limiting yourself by not being prepared before the money comes will be considered as the greatest mistake, be yourself don't be in a hurry more things may unfold before you invest maybe you might be lucky bitcoin for one bitcoin for everyone.

Ah yes, was just discussing this idea with another forum member. There definitely needs to be a better education of bitcoin, a timeline and layout of important events that have transpired, and so much more is crucial to maximizing adoption. There are a lot of ways to do this, which way is best and who can come up with it is the question. Hopefully we will see something good develop in this regard in the future 👍

Miner these look incredible, have you played this and what would you compare it to? I wish I still had my Gameboy color. Also did you still have that b22 note for me by chance?
674  Economy / Collectibles / Re: XRP Loaded Tokens on: July 27, 2023, 02:36:22 AM
People tried but the CEO and the board of directors of Ripple said we can’t do it.  (sure doesn’t sound decentralized does it?) 😉
Hahaha, Ripple from Ripplelabs is one of the most centralized top10-valued cryptos out there. Imho a great representation of what the term shitcoin actually means. I wouldn't want any XRP collectible in my collection ever for that reason.

"And while the company may argue against this point, Ripple the network really hasn’t decentralized much from its point of creation. For years, all of Ripple’s clients (the implementation of its code) were set to trust only Ripple’s validation nodes by default. "
From https://www.coindesk.com/consensus-magazine/2023/06/13/ripple-does-not-care-whether-xrp-is-sufficiently-decentralized/

That said, these CT silver coins do look fantastic.

They have some skin in the game trying to replace the SWIFT system. FED NOW is just launching and I'm sure they will play a part in that somehow some way....
675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger Confirmed That Government Can Get Access To Your Fund on: July 27, 2023, 02:30:05 AM
This is a great question Lucius, IMO It would need to be a completely autonomous program, maybe kind of like the Khan Academy but specifically for crypto. It should not be free though, but charge some small nominal fee to gain access, like a Wikipedia on steroids but for crypto.
There are many free resources to learn about Bitcoin so do you think paid courses will be better and provide more comprehensive knowledge for learners?

Learnmeabitcoin.com from Beginners to Advanced levels.
Saylor Academy - Bitcoin for everybody
Saylor Academy - Bitcoin for developers

Maybe could even be a group effort to make this a reality where everyone contributed and the content sticks based on merits or votes from experts/devs etc. AI can help create the videos that explain and lessons that teach entry, mid, and advanced levels.
There are enough free resources and tech gurus in communities to help them learning. If they want to debut their learning, they can do it anytime.

Nobody truly values something that they got for free, just look at the free public school systems. Do you think those educations are highly valued and beneficial and equipping students for financial independence? If they pay for it then the people who add the most value to the lesson plans can get paid, now we have an incentive system to have a completely non biased merit based learning platform that anyone can access, for a small fee. So many times people will start free courses and stop, at least this way I feel most people would want to get their money's worth...  just a thought.
676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger Confirmed That Government Can Get Access To Your Fund on: July 27, 2023, 02:01:45 AM
~snip~
A crypto education program would be highly beneficial.

And who, in your opinion, should start and run that program? It would be a little strange to expect governments to do this, because as much as it seems to some that they (governments) approve of certain things, Bitcoin is still a small thorn in their side that is causing them a little embarrassment for now, and all the chaos you describe is going to their advantage.

The more confusion, doubts, hacking and loss of funds, the greater the advantage of those who are against all that. After all, in some conspiracy theory, we could say that Ledger was bought by a government to use it as a Trojan horse to gain control over everything that these devices store.

This is a great question Lucius, IMO It would need to be a completely autonomous program and user guided, maybe kind of like the Khan Academy but specifically for crypto. It should not be free though, but charge some small nominal fee to gain access, like a Wikipedia on steroids. Maybe could even be a group effort to make this a reality where everyone contributed and the content sticks based on merits or votes from experts/devs etc. AI can help create the videos that explain and lessons that teach entry, mid, and advanced levels.
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A neighbor next door on: July 26, 2023, 01:47:14 PM
If you are aware that your neighbor living next door is into drug dealing and he come seek your advice how to buy Bitcoin, will you teach him?

What comes straight to mind is embezzling the ill-gotten money, but is this even safe? My other neighbor knows I am into Bitcoin and he learned from me, I guess that's how this other neighbor knew, I told him to go meet the next neighbor but he said he is not ready to teach.

What will you do if something like this is happening around you? Why would a drug dealer want to learn Bitcoin if not for a safer haven for running the business?

My mind isn't settled as I keep thinking different things, what is on your mind readers?

As long as he gives you free drugs in exchange for the knowledge that seems fair lmao 🤣  obviously just kidding. That just sounds so sketch man, I would avoid that at all costs and tell him you got hacked or something and to seek expert advice 🤔  sometimes you have to fool the fool into thinking you're the fool so you can opt out of his foolish ways.
678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger Confirmed That Government Can Get Access To Your Fund on: July 26, 2023, 01:45:01 PM
Though like I said earlier, I've not been able to verify the authenticity of this information, but then, if this information be true, then I think we all should be very careful with ledger devices - privacy wise.

if this is confirmed to be true then I think many people will not use this wallet anymore because the government can have access to it.
for me, the only hardware wallet I trust now only Trezor Wallet, they will stay like this and not make the same steps as Ledger did.

It is a bit sad, though, that many newcomers to the crypto might not be aware or concerned about these aspects. It is just like when people trusted centralized services like the FTX exchange to hold their funds, and we all know how that turned out.

Unfortunately that is the case for the vast majority of newcomers. They are all so behind and there is so much to know, a crypto education is almost needed. All the scams, pitfalls, technical jargon, hardware, software, industry trends and all of the different coins and exchanges and so on and so forth. It'll be hard enough for them to get all this information downloaded into their brains, knowing who and what to trust to store your coins is also highly subjective and so many options out there make it very hard. A crypto education program would be highly beneficial.

Assuming the trade dollar is real, that would definitely be your high dollar coin. Everything else for the most part is average modern world currency
680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Michael Saylor a modern apostle like Peter and Paul? on: July 26, 2023, 02:58:13 AM
If Bitcoin were to replace the current global financial system and achieve widespread adoption as a decentralized and reliable store of value, some enthusiasts might see Michael Saylor as a visionary or a pivotal figure. Similar to how Peter and Paul played crucial roles in spreading the teachings of Christianity, Saylor's active promotion and strategic investment in Bitcoin could be viewed as instrumental in driving its adoption.

The analogy suggests that just as the apostles were significant in the establishment and spread of Christianity, Saylor's dedication to advocating for Bitcoin and integrating it into his business strategies could be perceived as foundational for a potential future financial paradigm.

discuss
Comparing the work of Peter and Paul who went about spreading the good news of Christianity to that of what Michael Saylor is currently doing right now of his spread over the adoption of Bitcoin is kind of preposterous, because both are totally two different concepts, of which just as Peter and Paul offered a selfless service for the promotion of the kingdom of God, Michael Saylor is currently offering a service of which he stands to make huge profit if Bitcoin happens to skyrocket very high with mass adoption. Because I'm made to understand that Michael owns over 12,333 Bitcoin, worth over $369million with a current of approximately $30k per Bitcoin. So imagine how much profit he stands to gain if Bitcoin hit $100k, that is almost a billion dollars.

That is quite a bit of coin right there if it did go to 100k but strangely I feel like that can't be all Saylor and MS would stand to gain, I feel like it would have to be way more than that and it will be because they buy BTC like it's their job lol. On the note about comparing Saylor to the disciples is a heck of a stretch lol not even close m8 (OP) but good try....
