662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: By now, is it worth to invest in major altcoins for the long term? on: February 21, 2020, 08:36:53 PM

I have been hearing that even major altcoins are gradually losing its value.

For long term investment purpose, no more investing in major altcoins recommended?

Btw, has anyone experienced BISPEX exchange known as its insurance funding?

When it comes to Investing, it is always good to start by checking out what you want or in this case the type of altcoin you want, and then studying all you can. Most advising people about the type of altcoin to invest doesn't always end well especially when it doesn't go as planned with respect to the nature of the crypto space. Nevertheless, if am to point out my opinion, major altcoins aren't losing value rather they are still dominating and thus good for long term investment; such major altcoins are Ethereum (ETH), Stellar (XLM), Binance Coin (BNB), ADA and maybe LTC. Lastly, holding BTC is also a good investment call.
663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WINNING THE GAME AGAINST BAD PROJECTS on: February 21, 2020, 08:24:19 PM
Hello guys, having been here for a while now, I feel that having a higher percentage of your portfolio on bitcoin and maybe the rest 30 or 35% on already good and established altcoins like ETH, BCH, Stellar, brave. BNB, Vchain, etc, is a good way of staying away from useless projects. I have come to an understanding that running after new promising projects always leave you heartbroken in 97times, and running after IEO to quickly make up for past losses lead to more havoc on your fund. So stick to the safe zone.

That's true, nowadays people go after IEO because of the profit they will gain within a short time and once gotten they dump the token; the main issue is, many of the projects doing IEO have nothing good to offer therefore holding them after the IEO might be a bad decision. Thus the aim is, get into the IEO, make the profit if possible and convert to BTC or any other good altcoins. Just like you stated, holding Bitcoin in greater portion is the best thing and as for me, ETH, BNB and XLM are good to be in our holdings or portfolio.
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s the best coin to buy apart from bitcoin on: February 21, 2020, 08:17:32 PM
One of the reasons it's hard to suggest a token or coin for someone is that people see things in different perspective. There are people who don't want to associate with any altcoin while there are others who are open to new things. What am trying to point out is, it is kind of hard to say which coin is the best and vice versa once it's not Bitcoin because there are many altcoins which might look good to different people. From the list you dropped, I can only point out two which I think is worth your time and money; ETH and BNB while considering use case.
665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Binance beat Ethereum on: February 19, 2020, 07:31:45 PM
Yes I agree with your points about Binance having strong products which makes it the best exchange but thinking it would beat Ethereum will be difficult and might not even happen. The first thing that attracted users to the blockchain world is trust, transparency and privacy of which Ethereum offers, that is to say it is a decentralized platform; but can same be said about Binance? I don't think so. Everybody is glad that Binance is changing the nature of exchanges but at the same time everyone is concerned about transparency etc which a centralized platform such as Binance lacks.
666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins with so many pages in one thread on: February 19, 2020, 07:23:51 PM
Having many pages in one thread says a lot about the project in question. It really shows the activeness of the project not just to development alone but to the community members as well. It shows that the team are ready and open to discussions which will help in the growth of the platform. Also, in such threads you will find well analysed questions which will draw the team into giving Interesting answers as well, it is also through some questions that one can easily know if the team is really experienced and knows what they are doing. Furthermore, such projects are easily promoted by the community which in turn results to more exposure and growth.
667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YOU need to Stop using YOUTUBE! come and check this new platform! on: February 19, 2020, 07:17:32 PM
This is a good step on the right direction, a "blockchain-like-youtube" platform. This is really a good one and we need more this type of innovations that will make people develop more interest in blockchain platforms. One of the feature I found appealing is the fact there is reward when certian activities are carried out. Although the platform is still in beta testing, and therefore there is likely to be bugs, but at least is shows that a new thing or a new platform is about to be experienced in this space. Also, owing to the competition which lies ahead, the team will need to put in more hard work to ensure they keep winning.
668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are stablecoins a definite solution against a bear market? on: February 18, 2020, 09:21:12 PM
They might not be the definite answer or solutions per say but at that point in time they are certainly the way out since bear markets comes with uncertainty; that is, can hardly be predicted how long it will last. Bear markets are some of the phases which can't be overlooked and no one can stand to watch his assets go down badly without taking neccessary actions towards it unless the person is holding a coin like Bitcoin which he aims to hold for long. But for other altcoins which can't be easily banked on converting to stablecoins is the best. Lastly, there were projects which went terribly down during bear market and never rose up again, holders can only but wish they converted to a stablecoin. So to answer your question, stablecoins are the solutions and best way out when unfavorable market hits.
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another STO failed! STO won't work anymore. on: February 18, 2020, 09:07:25 PM
Today I just noticed another good looking STO failed, and that STO project name is Liqio Exchange! I have never seen an STO that raised good money and doing good in the market! So why they keep coming I don't have any idea about it. I told all my friends that don't join in any STO bounty, just ignore them.

Liqio STO failed, source: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5210813.0

I am in total agreement with you, am yet to see any STO make it as well, as the ones I have seen all failed during fundraising which makes me wonder if there is something they aren't doing well or STOs are not worth it at all, but that doesn't mean that all projects doing STO do not have good ideas. STO is known to issue security tokens which comes with various legalities, could that be the reason? Or maybe people or investors don't like STO at all. Nevertheless, it's wise to be with the winning side, why going for STO again when one can take chances with IEOs on top exchanges like Binance etc.
670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment Advice for year 2020 on: February 18, 2020, 08:58:35 PM
Exactly, the first thing to do is to check or study the altcoins one wish to invest in, as it's easier to take correction before buying than after buying and it didn't go according to plan. Secondly, if the urge to do research on the potential altcoins aren't there owing to the large number of altcoins in existence, then going for top altcoins is the best way out so as to be on the safer side. Bitcoin perhaps is the first to be in ones portfolio, and this is why most people always allocate a bigger percentage of their funds to it because it's better in all ramifications.
671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some ridiculous suspicious projects with zero value! on: February 17, 2020, 09:30:05 PM
Sadly but true that was the nature of most projects right before these ones, they will cause the hype get the funds and then take investors for granted with ridiculous replies when asked for the progress of the platform. I feel they see it as the best way to exit scam because by giving a particular reply over and over again, members will lose Interest and forget about them and gradually the telegram group would be deleted. In addition, many of these projects are moved by hype and once the public sale ends, the team might delay listing and comes up with that annoying reply; and if the team manages to list on any exchange the true nature will gradually surface which always results to negligence.
672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: We want true Decentralization in crypto but we use Centralized exchanges! on: February 17, 2020, 09:16:37 PM
Actually I understood your concern and it's right but there are various reasons which affects this. First, how many decentralized exchanges are easy to use? How many have good volume? How many are fast? How many convinent and have good UI? It's not like they were abandoned rather it is some of the issues surrounding them. Any project can list on any exchange and even grow from there if properly managed; there are projects which started from decentralized exchanges but yet the users still clamoured for other exchanges because of volume. In my own opinion, I think if there will be a decentralized exchange which can offer some of the features of  centralized exchanges it will draw attention and the neccessary competition.
673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just a quick warning on: February 17, 2020, 09:03:30 PM
No matter how promising a project might look, especially if they are new projects just look them as if they have nothing to offer and invest only what you can afford to lose. Do not keep your eggs in one basket, do not fall in love with a single coin, no matter how good they are always keep digging, many more good gems won't hurt than relying on a single gem 💍. Be smart

Be smart; that's the key words and if someone allows his emotions to come first rather then taking the neccessary caution, the end result might not be favourable. Investing what one can afford to lose is really the best way to invest, in this case even if it didn't go according to plan you can still move on easily unlike when you decide to go all in, in a bid to hit it once. Lastly, most new projects aren't worth it, therefore let's ensure to try our best to check thoroughly before letting go of your precious hard earned money.
674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Enjoyed this Unpredictable Season Bull / Bear on: February 16, 2020, 11:48:25 PM
I might be forced to say that those who enjoyed the unpredictable bull season are those who were holding potential coins. Seriously, there are those who held on to BTC or bought it when the price was low and owing to the fact it is a good coin, they held on to it and really enjoyed their profits. Not only Bitcoin but also other altcoins like ETH; from these it reaffirms the idea of holding, imagine those who were holding ETH from ending of last year or beginning of this year, certainly they enjoyed it. So in all ramifications, holding potential coins pays and it has been proven these pass days.
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did you notice top exchanges reduced the withdrawal fee? on: February 15, 2020, 05:24:15 PM
The beauty of this is, it accommodates everyone where small withdrawals won't really feel the impact. That is, imagine with the price increase in Eth and the withdrawal fee isn't reduced, users will find it hard withdrawing and to reduce such they might go for other coins with lesser fee. But however, most exchanges are still yet to adopt it, that is their withdrawal fee is still the same; thus I see it as only a hindrance to growth because instead of users to spend unnecessarily to withdraw from those types of exchanges they would rather go for those who reduced their price.
676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nothing is wrong with altcoins on: February 15, 2020, 05:14:30 PM
I will start hating altcoins only when bitcoin raise up to 20,000$ and altcoins fail to move up as well, many people are putting blames on altcoins today as if bitcoin is not in loss itself, the ATH of btc was 20k and now it's trading for 7,000+ thats like 12,000$ lost please how will this not affect other altcoins as well? Top altcoins will surely lose value as well, to me this present loss of altcoins are positive, look at coins like LTC, EOS, BNB, these coins are doing fine. You will only have problem if you invest in crap altcoins

I love the last line " you can only have problem if you invest in crap altcoins" this is just the truth of the whole matter. It doesn't make sense to hate the entire altcoins, but it is justifiable to hate most altcoins because they lacks value and utility while altcoins like the one you mentioned are trying their best to stand out. Lastly, there is no coin which hasn't lost value or dropped in price before but the ability to bounce back is what makes the altcoin in question a valuable and worthy one. So in my own opinion, it is not right to hate the entire altcoins because of a drop in price of which Bitcoin isn't exempted.
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Using Crypto at Gas Stations on: February 15, 2020, 05:08:14 PM
You made a very good point if only there are people who can take it up. We keep clamouring for mass adoption but when one looks at this space, different things comes to mind, many projects are just a replica of what is existing, some don't even know what they want, some are just for pump and dump, all these and many more are part of the reasons why blockchain is still in its infancy. Now with your idea, it can be feasible and will contribute a whole lot because gas stations can't be left out. Lastly I believe mass adoption will take place but will only take time because most platforms are now seeing the importance of blockchain.

679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH could reach $440 if bullish on: February 14, 2020, 07:58:23 PM
ETH is witnessing a massive pump this year and hopefully I wish it to continue, if the bulls continue to reach the next level resistance it may $440. However it is important to remember this is just an indicator,  I believe it has the capability to reach this value by the end of this year.
https://u.today/ethereum-eth-price-could-reach-440-if-bullish-momentum-persists-market-analyst-edward-moya?amp=1

Am always skeptical when it comes to price prediction but this is ETH and also taking a look at the nature of the market this past days shows it all. It shows that ETH still have some more heights to climb, it could be $440 or even more. But my own stand is, ETH will grow more and it will surly surprise us. Another thing is, the market is showing serious signs of growth, analysts are already saying one thing or the other but soon we will know.
680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why exchange coins moving up.. on: February 14, 2020, 07:53:13 PM
There was a time when investors and newbies went on a crazy spree to invest on exchange tokens like BNB, OKB, BIX, HUOBI TOKEN, Kucoin Shares and Aurora...

Many of them strated pumping from 3-4 days and it was not a small one. I have seen that this happens when BTC moves big. What is your opinion on this..?

Exchange coins are becoming more profitable nowadays unlike back in the days. Nowadays the tokens good exchanges which are changing this space are rewarding its users, although it has its own ups and downs. But the main point is, holding the token of trustworthy exchanges is far better than hold some random altcoin which has no future. Take a look at Binance exchange and it's token, who wouldn't want to hold it bearing in mind the exchange keeps advancing for good. So in my own opinion I would say, the reason for price increase is owing to how solid they are.
