Hey miners! We want to share some updates from last month with you  Smiley

Here are our latest news
:

1.   Merged mining of XMR+FCN implemented

You need to restart the application if you have version 6.6 or upgrade to 6.6 and restart the application to access the new feature. If you connect to MinerGate via alternative miners, use the following URL:

stratum+tcp://fcn-xmr.pool.minergate.com:45590

List of supported miners is available here.

2.   Merged mining of XMR+XDN implemented

Similarly, please restart the application if you have version 6.6 or upgrade to 6.6 and restart the application to access the new feature. If you connect to MinerGate via alternative miners, use the following URL:
stratum+tcp://xdn-xmr.pool.minergate.com:45790

List of supported miners is available here.

3.   FAQ page updates

We have released a new convenient FAQ page, which allows you to search for keywords instead of browsing through the articles. The majority of questions can be found there, but our support team is always glad to help out if some questions stay unanswered.

4.   Change of DNS provider

Unfortunately, DNS provider GoDaddy had technical problems on 14-15.11.2016, which led to the connection error issues the majority of our miners experienced. We have changed DNS provider to make sure it doesn’t happen again. Our statistics shows all workers reconnected to the pool successfully. Full report on the problem is available on our blog.

network withdrawal fees are shocking

I agree with you. The withdrawal fees for Monero and Ether are out of this world.

Hi there! We are planning to work on the withdrawal fee for Monero after its hardfork on 21.09. If everything goes well, we will make it less.

0.1 XMR withdrawal fee. LOL WTF???

Hi there! That's the standard Monero network fee. Please consider contacting Monero developers about it.

I'm only getting 4 MH/s with a 970 mining ETH on Windows 10. I've tried several drivers including 347.52 which everyone swears by, but it doesn't work with Minergate for me. GPU isn't available to mine with when using that driver. I should be getting at least 10 MH/s. Does anyone know if it's a problem with Windows 10 or do I need a certain driver that I haven't tried? If anyone can help me I'll give you some BTC.

You can try to change your GPU settings for OpenCL, but you should be careful: https://forum.minergate.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&p=3913#p3913

Hi,

I Just picked up a copy of minergate, seems like a nice piece of software but I'm having a similar problem with Windows 10, I believe. I'm running a 980ti only getting 3.5 MH/s mining ETH. I have also tried that driver but my computer does not accept it and I can not install it at all. It just says no compatible Hardware found.

I've tried asking in chat in minergate with no luck and I've done research for hours online and still no luck=(

Thankfully I found this thread=)

Hi there!

Never got any response.  Installed on a Windows machine and got same message.  I also stopped mining with my Titan X because the earnings were almost nonexistent...nowhere near what they should have been.

I'm out!

Hi!

Sorry for the inconvenience. Could you PM me your nick on MinerGate? We'll check that ASAP.

Yes I had checked that and several blocks were mined during that time frame. I stopped mining using Minergate after 3 days. Never received any ETH so for me its a scam. Back using Ethminer now and all is fine. My experience with Minergate: looks good but doesn't work

thx!

Hi everyone!

Currently, we're experiencing problems with our server.

We are already doing our best to get back on track.

I'll update this message as soon as we fix the issues.

UPD: Everything is up and running.

Got the following exception, which caused the process to completely terminate, changing my power settings to see if that is the cause.

Can't see the message anywhere else so will report back if the power settings seemed to do the trick

GPU: cudaMalloc context: an illegal memory access was encountered

Hi Starmman!

Which graphic card do you have? It looks like the problem is that your graphic card doesn't have enough memory (it should at least have 2gb to be used for Ethereum mining).

The site was down for a while... At first, the homepage displayed properly, so I thought that it was just my connection that couldn't open any connections from my miner, but then I noticed that when I tried to login from their web dashboard, nothing happened, either. Then about 10 minutes later, the whole website went down. Thought it was just a backup, but it was down periodically for hours after that; don't know what happened.

All seems to be working correctly now, though. Are you able to get back in?

Sorry guys, we had some issues with the website server, everything is up and running now.

Nice to see you are going to be adding in the AMD support at some point this week. Already using though ethminer. Just one question regarding share submitting to pool. Why so many shares being submitted in less than 5 min submitted over 200+ with only 20MH running and looking at it was submitting shares every half sec or little longer. Is this based on difficulty that is set on pool? If so might want to have a variable one based on hash speed.

Well, actually our pool provides variable difficulty, which is exactly the reason you're submitting so many shares. The pool provides you the hashrate, based on your hardware, in order to let you submit shares constantly (which at first may look odd for GPU miners that are used to constant difficulty on other pools).

Our variable difficulty is mainly designed for those, who have lesser mining power (e.g. CPU-miners), but still want to mine Ethereum. In the case of our pool, CPU-miners can submit shares in each block, because the pool provides them with lower hashrate and lets them submit shares and make profit.

And also a problem I have come across on pool is that mining with say 70MH pool never seen more than 45 to 48MH at most. Any idea as to what the cause of this is? Reason I ask this is other pools are fine or very little between actual mining power and pool report.

I guess you are talking about the difference between your hashrate that you see in the miner and your hashrate, displayed on the account dashboard on the website.

The reason for this difference is that the dashboard hashrate is based on the shares that you submitted, while the miner shows the hashrate, based on your hardware. They simply use different formulas, so it doesn't affect your efficiency in any way and the pool uses your hardware completely.
