661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Precious Metals - the final verdict is in. on: October 13, 2023, 01:11:50 PM
This statement is so true, only few even almost no one could get rich buy buying gold or other precious metal. But, I Bitcoin and Gold has different usage. For speculator and people who seek for profit and their main goal for buying assets is speculating on the price and get profit from it, then Bitcoin beat gold in many ways, but just like any other investment, high profit also means high risk, so for people who seek for stability and reliability for their assets, Gold is definitely more suitable than Bitcoin.
Gold is definitely for store a value, but actually Bitcoin is relatively stable and can be used as store a value too. If people seek for high volatility and speculate asset, isn't altcoins is better since it's full of pump and dump.

Bitcoin could be more safer than gold because it's more flexible, it will not lose as long as you have the private key and you can access your coins in anywhere.
662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can CEX, institutional investors, whales, hinder or halt the growth of Bitcoin? on: October 13, 2023, 09:08:55 AM
I take it as a bullshit because the only way to control Bitcoin price is you need to own all Bitcoins, while FTX isn't own all Bitcoins.

Actually I don't understand why centralized exchange need to make the Bitcoin price below $20K, what's the point? they're making money from people who keep use their exchanges, so regardless what the Bitcoin price, they're still make profit.

Even though Sevilla is quite at home, I don't think Arsenal will be as disappointing this time as before when they lost against Lens. What is certain is that Arsenal needs points to maintain their probability of qualifying for the last 16 and there is no way they will lose this match. It is quite difficult to determine the outcome of betting on this match and the safest is BTTS because both teams will definitely score goals against each other. It is possible that the score will end in a narrow 1-2 win for Arsenal. There is nothing else that makes Arsenal lose this match and we can see their motivation increasing after winning over their rivals in the domestic league last week.
Sevilla also same, they also need points to overtake Arsenal and qualify for the next round, so it's not a thing should be discussed.

But if we look at the squad, Sevilla will play without Erik Lamela, this is bad because Lamela is one of Sevilla's key player. While Arsenal will play with their good players, Saka will back after next few days. Arsenal will win with small margin like one or two goal(s).

The latest rumors say that Dani Olmo will leave Leipzig to head to Barcelona next summer. I don't know if this is really what Dani Olmo wants but it could possibly happen as long as Barcelona prepares funds of 60 million euros to secure his services. We know Dani Olmo's performances at Leipzig have been impressive and that's why Barcelona are very interested in him. Moreover, he is a member of the Spanish national team so he will be closer to his family if he joins Barcelona. However, the question is where Barcelona got that much money and at the moment their finances have still not recovered.
I guess they will choose to borrow Dani Olmo instead of signing him, they're lack of player so they will choose to get a new player regardless the status is.

Lewandowski, Yamal, Raphinha, De Jong and Pedri are injured, they're forcing their existing players to play for 90 minutes.

Barcelona just need to accept casino brand to be promoted in their site and shirt, they will escape from financial difficulty lol.

Just after four months of playing at Aston Villa, Youri Tielemans wants to leave the team. He left Leicester and joined Aston Villa but this 26-year-old palyer couldn't have too much chance in Aston Villa to prove himself and so far in this season he played in eight games for Aston Villa but he was never in the first squad and that's why he doesn't have a good relationship with the coach of Aston Villa and he wants to leave during the winter.
Bro forgot if he's just a mediocre player, not Ronaldo or Messi who can freely to choose which he want to join.

He's not able to play in the top league, we've seen his performance in Aston Villa and Belgium aren't good, there's no any good team will want him. He might either join weak team in Premier League or playing in other uncompetitive league e.g. Ligue 1 or Bundesliga.
666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Lightning Network Growth 1.212% in the last 2 years on: October 13, 2023, 05:22:50 AM
In general it looks like there's a huge adoption toward lightning network because the total transaction increase really high.

But if we look at the total channels, it's not really increase as high as the total transactions. So it seems only small a group are use lightning network, which I think it's a centralized exchange and centralized wallet that integrated with lightning network, where the user only need to use it without need to open a new channel.

Pretty much like people who use and hold Bitcoin in CEX.

667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: October 11, 2023, 02:55:52 PM
That lucky gambler is just want to play safe because he thought those two bald guys will ask him to give some money because they will say they're his "best friends". As long as this person isn't join other circle which is rich or has luxurious lifestyle, he's not a bad guy.

I quite understand why that person did that, it's why I don't think he's making mistake or become arrogant when he stay away from his old circle.
668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 11, 2023, 02:49:16 PM
City have the strongest squad in the Premier League. But we haven't seen a good performance from City in the last few matches. As Manchester City are looking to win the title, they need to play better. Manchester City's performance against Arsenal was very disappointing. They did not make any attempt to attack in this match. We do not know why City suddenly played such a strategy. However, the performance of both Brighton and City teams is a bit slow now. They are not playing well. Both teams have lost points in the last two matches. So both will aim to score points in this match. Brighton have been scoring a lot of goals this season. That's why I don't think City will win this match easily.
Yeah, but I consider the last two loses by Manchester CIty were just a bad luck. I believe Manchester City is still the strongest team in Premier League, they might lose few match but they will definitely win the league. As we can see the points of top 6 teams aren't really far, so they will not struggle and it's normal the other teams could overtake them in early season.
669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of reserves? Insurance fund? Best I can do is a random number generator! on: October 11, 2023, 01:01:21 PM
I don't think there's a centralized exchange is being honest with everything they have e.g. their total funds, the reserved funds for SAFU etc, most of them either using random number or exclude/include anything they want in order to make the number looks good (they will use * mark).

I couldn't image if Binance is bankrupt, how bad is the chaos affecting Bitcoin holder since most of people hold their funds in Binance.
670  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Why trust electrum? on: October 11, 2023, 12:50:02 PM
If you think like that, then you can check the electrum official site and read every single code to make sure it's 100% safe. Also you need to learn Bitcoin from scratch in order to learn if "generating seed phrase" in trustworthy wallet isn't manipulated or controlled by someone else including the wallet developer.

what is airgapped setup? Nice suggestion I will not trust anyone blindly will do my own research.
This one https://electrum.readthedocs.io/en/latest/coldstorage.html

Set up electrum in airgrapped storage will make your wallet become very secure, as long as you know what you do.
671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In Case of Global Conflict, Is BTC The Best Alternative? on: October 09, 2023, 03:15:43 PM
It is. But sticking to one asset would be a mistake and we should consider diversifying our money into different assets.
Gold, Bitcoin, Real Estate, Bonds are some good ways to diversify but we should also consider holding some liquid cash in case of such crisis.
We never know how long it can last and how deep it can impact the economy and so holding cash for daily expenses would be a good idea.
I don't understand why you have such thought.

During crisis, your fiat will become worthless because the inflation surge really high.

During crisis, your real estate will become worthless too because no one want to buy it and many people would harm any buildings due to chaos.

During crisis, bonds will be worthless too since the government is struggling.

Gold need a good space and heavy, it's not flexible.

Only Bitcoin which can escape from everything I mentioned above.
672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 09, 2023, 03:06:15 PM
I'm surprised to see the league table, Tottenham is currently in the top position even though Kane left the team. I really curious what if Son is leaving Tottenham, will Tottenham is able to survive and become one of strong team in Premier League?

I want to give a highlight for Alexander Isak in Newcastle, I think Arsenal could try to sign him since he's performance is quite stable and can score many goals.

673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: They know the truth but they don't want to accept it, publicly on: October 07, 2023, 09:15:43 AM
You need to know if there's no money or reward you risk, it's not a gambling anymore.

If you can be fun by playing a game without risking something, why not? no one force you to gamble.

But playing a game without betting would be boring for a long time since there's no adrenaline and feel excited to win. That's why gambling become better than just playing a game alone.
674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 07, 2023, 09:04:32 AM
Mount got even a negative rating. He is a complete flop in manchester united. I don't know what was the main motive from ten hag to sign him as a new player while united didn't really need him.
He was not even shining on chelsea. It's quite weird to see ten hag forced the club to buy him.
I don't understand why Mount received so much hate, if they rated Mount for 49.5%, Onana should be 10% because Manhester United had spent a lot money to sign him and he just make Manchester United become worse.

Mount might not contribute many thing and Manchester United also spent a lot for him, but he doesn't affect Manchester United become lose.
675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 07, 2023, 08:54:40 AM
Although there is a slight difference in Manchester City's performance at the start of this season, I think it is very inappropriate to judge Manchester City to have been bad at the start of this season. Because everyone can see that after seven matches at the start of this season, Manchester City is still ranked first and that can be very accurate evidence that Manchester City has not been that bad at the start of this season. In fact, Manchester City will still be a candidate to win the Premier League this season.
What make it dangerous? Manchester City can still achieve top position even though they're playing without a full squad, what if they play with a full squad? other teams have no chance to compete them. They might lose or draw for few matches due to shit happen, but it will not change their position.

So yeah, this season is still for Manchester City.
676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Do You Guys Think About This Simple Analogy? Anything to Add or Remove? on: October 07, 2023, 06:09:56 AM
It is a matter of choice to use Bitcoin or not, because there are other options available, like Fiat and online bank transfer, it's sad but true that many people will always choose Fiat over Bitcoin even if Bitcoin becomes so big in the future, don't forget that what Bitcoin does better is decentralization, something many people don't care about, they want the government to be always their ruler and whatever their government isn't accepting they will choose to stay away.
This is the most logic.

I've tired to see people keep mentioning use Bitcoin as a currency, use Bitcoin as a currency, when they're still use Bitcoin as a commodity and not spend it to buy daily needs. You don't have to pay any fee using cash, bank transfer and digital fiat, their fees are cheaper than Bitcoin network. Yeah, keep saying lightning network is cheaper, when LN is cheaper if you use it regularly since it need fee to open a channel.
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Many BTC does the Forum's Administrators Have? on: October 07, 2023, 05:38:03 AM
I don't understand with users who're saying @OP is exposing forum staffs' privacy when they're the one who share it. If someone share address, everyone can view that and there's nothing wrong. But it's wrong when they have an another address which never been posted, you share it to everyone.

I'm sure if such amount isn't the total Bitcoins they have.

Guessing their total Bitcoins is like guessing how many Bitcoins are lost forever.
678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Much Bitcoin Address with balance today? on: October 07, 2023, 04:52:33 AM
Number of Bitcoin active addresses is lower a lot.
https://www.lookintobitcoin.com/charts/bitcoin-active-addresses/
It's make sense because most of people are use Bitcoin for long term investment. I'm not denying there are also many people actively trade Bitcoin, but they do that in centralized exchanges and even though they're active, it has no relation with address since trading is associated to internal system, not blockchain. If they withdraw their coins to other non custodial wallet or other sites, then it will make the address become active.
679  Economy / Economics / Re: Women are more economical than men. on: October 06, 2023, 02:40:04 PM
I have to disagree, gender can't be used to determine someone else knowledge and skill.

There's a women who use most of her money to buy skincare and useless thing that she think cut, she will take a loan because she don't have any money to buy foods. There's a men who save most of his money for his future e.g. buy house, buy car etc.

You can't generalize if women is better than men in something and vice versa.
680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 06, 2023, 02:22:17 PM
When Erik ten Hag was first brought in, he was a manager who was expected to bring positive changes to the team, especially last season when MU finished third in the EPL, everyone believed ETH would bring good changes to MU.
But for some reason this season, after bringing in many desired new players, MU was unable to meet the expectations of many parties.
and I agree with you, if the bad results continue, of course the pressure will be even greater. So Erik ten Hag must be ready to take responsibility for MU's current condition, so that the choice to withdraw for ETH is the right choice.
The big change is Manchester United can be in third position when De Gea was still there, while current season Manchester United without De Gea is keep losing. So the solution is, bring back De Gea and Manchester United will not be like this.

Now every eyes are on Onana, previously it was Maguire. Let's see if Onana has a strong mental to accept criticism towards him, Maguire is able to fight it for 4 years.
