661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not needed but only for investment purposes on: November 02, 2020, 07:19:23 AM
Bitcoin is a form of gambling that if you are new you can have high chances to lose money and that benefits others as it comes to them as profits right?
I don't get it why most of the people compared cryptocurrency to gambling, is it because cryptocurrency means good for investment and investment is much related to gambling because both things are risky and it is hard for us to earn easy money for both things.

Bitcoin is not only for investment or gambling, there are many things we can have using bitcoin, there are many things that bitcoin can help us in our daily lives, it is not all meant to be risky.

663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If btc > $150k, will you still gamble it? on: November 02, 2020, 04:28:28 AM
The price movement of the bitcoin doesn't affect the way I gamble because I do not use bitcoin in gambling, I usually use USD but when we talk about bitcoin in gambling and it reaches so high then I wouldn't gamble it, it is better to convert it into fiat currency because that is already a huge amount of money for me and there are already many things that I can have with that amount of money.
What I answered is no,

The fees would be higher when its price will increase. I'll probably dump my btc instead of gambling it and just wait for its price to decrease again to start gambling. It is not good enough to spend large fees if it is only for  gambling.
That's right, it is not worth spending a huge amount of money on transaction fees just to gamble, there are many good things you can do with that fees. Better to stop gamble for a while or choose gambling which does not use cryptocurrency.
664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Death during illegal cockfighting raid on: November 02, 2020, 04:07:50 AM
I have watched the news and that time the place is under MGCQ and they are allowed to have the Cockfighting but it should have a health protocol to be safe and protect each and everyone but as what in the news said the cockfighting was got raid because it is illegal and resulted to the death of the police officer because of the blood loss caused by the attack of the chicken wearing a sharpen tool in its feet. I feel sorry for h death of the officer, this is a bad thing in the Philippines, some so many people don even care about the rules of the government. They are still doing such illegal activities.

Those people involved with the cockfighting are now in prison including 2 seniors and are now finding those 3 organizers of the cockfighting.
665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New way to cheat with Bitcoin! be careful on: November 02, 2020, 03:23:34 AM
This news is not new in the crypto world, it always happens in the virtual world because scammers are always there, if you are already many experiences in cryptocurrency then for sure you won't be a victim of this. After all, only beginners will believe this kind of scam, I got scammed before from a fake website with the offer of 100% in return way back when I was a beginner and this sucks, thankfully I joined this forum and become informed about those scams.

There is no legit website that will offer a high return with the short period, that is a full scam, never trust someone or a website like that because you will end up losing your money, better to do research first before anything else.
666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we stop bitcoin scammers? on: November 02, 2020, 02:43:35 AM
There's no way for us to stop people to become scammer because it is their own decision and we cannot do something to make it change for them and besides we don't know them as well. In every system or platform, you may join, scammers are always there, if they will see an opportunity to fool people then they will do, the best thing for us to do with this is to avoid being scammed; know which one is true and not. Identify whether the website is fake or not, you may use this one https://www.aetrustscore.com/

Do not fall for good words came from a stranger, when someone offers you to a website and give you a link then better to ignore them if you can and never give your personal information to anyone or even write it in a system.
667  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dear newbie... you can easily learning bitcoin and blockchain by cooding.. on: November 01, 2020, 02:15:49 PM
...
I am an IT student so I understand the code of yours, this is easier compared to the codes of the OP and I like looping just like what you have used which is the for loop if the person who doesn't have any programming knowledge see this kind of code, for sure they won't understand it and just leave it away but for those who love to gain knowledge about it then better to research programming codes because seeing the code won't help you at all, programming has so many branches and different languages, it is so hard to learn but is worth it to understand.

If I am not mistaken you used the javascript, I just want to add some information, for looping, there are three kinds of loop, which are for loop, do loop, and do while loop.

For loop
Syntax:
Code:
for (statement 1; statement 2; statement 3) {
Actual code:
for (i = 0; i < 5; i++) {
Statement 1 executed only once before the execution of the code block.

Statement 2 defines the condition for executing the code block.

Statement 3 executed every time after the code block has been executed.(incremental/decremental)

Do while loop
Syntax:
Code:
do
   statement
while (condition);
Actual code:
do {
  text += "The result is " + i;
  i++;
}
while (i < 10);

While loop
Syntax:
Code:
while (condition) {
  // statement to be executed
}
Actual code:
while (i < 10) {
  text += "The result is " + i;
  i++;
}
668  Economy / Economics / Re: Which is better, staking or investing? on: October 31, 2020, 04:25:27 AM
I haven't tried staking yet because I only do invest, this is much understandable for me because of the simple rule which is the "buy-in low, sell in high", if you just follow this rule then you will earn money. It would also good if you do a long-term investment for more income.

According to research, staking is a process of participating in some transaction validation on a proof of state (Pos) blockchain, it something similar to mining that is working for the transaction completion.

Here are some good coins to be staked:
+COSMOS
+DASH
+NEO
+PIVX
669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain losses over $13.6 billion due to hacker attacks on: October 31, 2020, 03:52:31 AM
That was a big loss for every company that has been hacked, 330 attacks are such a great number of attacks and it tells how hackers can make it possible, they are so much knowledge about technology and hacking system, so that, they are called blackhat hacker because of wrongdoings, well, in fact, they should have a great work and god income if they use that knowledge in good things or become a white hat hacker, many big companies needed a good security information analyst to protect their data and to avoid such hacking.

671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Make your choice now! on: October 30, 2020, 07:52:14 AM
He can do both things at the same time, he can still work in the government while being involved in cryptocurrency, even though I am not yet working cause I am only a student, I am doing both things and it is not a hindrance for each and everyone because there is no time limit in cryptocurrency, it is all your time, you may do whatever you want. Cryptocurrency is really broad and it takes time before you understand it may be the best thing to advise those people is to join a forum like this, just like what I did, I joined this forum and I am thankful because of the knowledge that I acquired here.
672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Follow your mind! on: October 30, 2020, 07:06:16 AM
There are so many costly mistakes investors make that may be regrettable. Such as
1. Borrowing money to invest
This is not totally bad if you have the money to pay it back even you lose from investment, but if you don't have then never loan just to invest, you know how risky investment is and there is no assurance that you may earn a lot of money from that so better to use your own money. Imagine if you lose from investment and you are still obliged to pay your loan, that is so bad, you will lose a huge amount of money from that.

Don't invest if you don't have enough or extra money, investment is not good for those people who don't have any work to sustain their needs because what if you lose then you would not have something to offer o your family, you'll end up hungry and empty money. Don't take a risk if you still cant sustain your basic needs.
674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The world after the last bitcoin is mined on: October 30, 2020, 06:23:11 AM
If the last bitcoin has been mined then the miners will no longer receive block rewards because there would be no coins to be generated, only the transaction fees will be there only way to earn for every complete transaction.

Quote
There are only 21 million bitcoins that can be mined in total.
Once bitcoin miners have unlocked all the bitcoins, the planet's supply will essentially be tapped out.
Currently, around 18.5 million bitcoin have been mined; this leaves less than three million that have yet to be introduced into circulation.
We almost have 3 million left before all the bitcoin has mined and I think it would take 4-5 years.

Here are some threads related with that:
Re: What will happen to Bitcoin after all 21 million are mined?
What happens when the last bitcoin has been mined? [Year 2140]
when all bitcoins are mined, then what
675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you promote bitcoin if you were Jack Dorsey (twitter's big boss)? on: October 29, 2020, 06:11:40 AM
I will just do the same thing as Jack Dorsey's doing to promote the bitcoin, just use the #Bitcoin so that many people could easily see it but I will do more about it. I can hire some popular persons to promote the bitcoin, the heavier the person then the better. There would be many people who will get interested if they see many popular persons promoting it. It is like a product endorser for any social media platform, they are looking for an influencer to promote the product and that is so effective because many people will see it.
676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halloween inspired poll –would your Bitcoins get passed on if you suddenly died? on: October 29, 2020, 04:41:15 AM
There is only one person who knows the details about my crypto wallet and that is my love ones, I already gave it to her last two months, I know that there are many things that could happen to me so to make them secured I let her know my seeds. I already told her how she can access my account and withdraw my money if ever things happen. I am just being futuristic, I don't want them to let without something to offer.
I didn't know this is possible. In fact this thing haven't crossed my mind so I'm very thankful for this thread because as of now, the only way I can find a way is to directly tell them and teach them to use cryptocurrency.
That's the good thing to do, you should now plan the things you need to do for them to access your account if ever something bad happens to you, giving it is not enough, you should also tell them about what are the things they might do to access the wallet, concert your assets into fiat currency, best exchange or anything to withdraw the money.
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my bitcoin if I die today? on: October 29, 2020, 03:54:26 AM
Despite the fact that there is no provision for third party in the blockchain wallet process there are still known ways in which you can pass on your founds and grant access to your personal wallet and one of those popular way is to reveal your wallet key of back up phrase to your love ones in that way if any thing happens to you they have access to your wallet.
That's true, it is better if there is someone you love who knows about your seed so if ever something bad happens to you, they can still access to your funds. Imagine if you die and you have a huge amount of money on your wallet, if ever no one knows how to access your wallet then all this money will just be wasted, it will stay on your wallet forever and no one knows how to access it, even your love ones and family. You should always think about any possible things and secure the future of your family.
678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin price rise affect your gameplay? on: October 29, 2020, 03:34:44 AM
Nothing changes in my gameplay because I do not use cryptocurrency in gambling, I usually use dollars for betting so there is no relation between the price of the cryptocurrency to my gambling habit but actually when the price of the bitcoin keeps on increasing I just set aside the gambling because I keep on focus on the bitcoin, maybe that is only what the prices of bitcoin affects me on gambling, nothing special with it.
679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren thoughts on Bitcoin on: October 29, 2020, 02:21:33 AM
It is not new for a well-known person saying about negativity on bitcoin, let them be, they don't believe bitcoin then we can't blame them, it is their perspective in life, it is hard to explain a thing to a person who doesn't want to learn something, he doesn't want to open his mind for the good things that bitcoin can be.
Leave this guy alone, he's like 130 yrs old. I consider him a guy that earned his authority, but he's not in the league anymore
Indeed, you got the point bro, he can be respected because of where he is now but he can't be respected for what he stands for.
680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Multi bets vs single bets on: October 29, 2020, 01:51:37 AM
I prefer only a single bet compared to multi bet because for me it is riskier to have multi bet on which when you got lost all of those then you will lose a big amount of money compared to a single bet. If you want to play for the long run then you better keep on a single bet, that is what most of the bettors do. It would give you more chance of winning even though it will take for so long.
The only advantage of the multi bet is that there is a good chance of winning but is winning won't always by your side and if that would be the case your money will lose quickly.
