661  Economy / Collectibles / Re: What Was Your First Bitcoin Collectible? on: February 15, 2022, 03:02:46 PM
Unfunded denarium dove coin purchased in may 2020 for $125

I got my hands on it and the obsession began.

Since 2020 prices of physical crypto have gone up a lot. Some pieces still remain elusive and hard to find.

663  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Bitcoin Suisse - Physical Note Issues/Ignoring Inquiries on: February 14, 2022, 08:10:41 PM
I am now confused myself on exact details. What I know is they sold notes that were supposed to be funded that weren’t, and will not return messages. I am hoping someone who knows the purchase proceeds can chine in.

I believe they had a head guy leave recently and were denied a banking license as they were deemed to be set up that would make for easier money laundering. Wonder if that had anything to do with it.

Yes that’s why it’s extra concerning, a year of  ignoring a client who was not given what was promised and in a shady fashion

Does this mean that the Suisse notes may have been unfunded or wiped? This would be really bad if it was the case. There are a large number of these notes in circulation.

668  Economy / Collectibles / Re: New physical Bitcoin PreSale!!! Go get one before they are gone! on: February 10, 2022, 01:52:23 AM
They are asking roughly $102.63 for the coin.

I think the hologram looks great as well as the overall aesthetic of the coin.

Who in their right mind would denominate a coin so low at 1000 sats?

It a nice coin but that price is limiting as I would like to get more than one but not spend a fortune.

I also found another video: https://vimeo.com/670161788

Under the hologram is a general private key format so it is funded.
669  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] 1HoDLCLUB BITCOIN ATTACK Serial #8 on: February 08, 2022, 10:47:12 PM
.003 ₿

Current high bid

This book retailed for $145 + shipping and most people purchased only 1 copy. Therefore, there arent many spares out there for resale. This is a good time to get ahold of the unique and low Serial #8.

CoA and public address comes with the book in order to fund the book. Hologram ofcourse intact and untampered with!

I think this book is a piece of bitcoin history and it marks a historic cornerstone of the previous year in collectables.

Good luck with sale.

It's not $7500, nor PSA, but this is interesting...

671  Economy / Collectibles / Re: PhysicalBitcoin Instagram Account on: February 08, 2022, 07:12:32 PM
I had the same problem a number of months ago with an instagram account of mine. I left it alone for a few months and then when I came back I was able to get the 2fa code and login.

Once I logged in I realized that instagram was just a portal designed to addict and sell you products fresh out of a chinese sweatshop.

I promptly deleted it once I figured out it has similar characteristics of spyware. The app requires so much personal information from you its like signing up for a bank account.

You can read about how it is spyware here: https://spyware.neocities.org/articles/instagram.html

It would be cool to showoff coins to a wider audience and get people into the hobby that otherwise did not know about it but the general instagram user is a shell of a human.

Crowdsourcing your personal self esteem and opinions to the masses in exchange for likes and dopamine whilst sacrificing your privacy to a corporation.

To each their own, but in my opinion these coins are too exquisite and will become so rare and valuable down the line it's best to not make yourself a target by advertising to strangers on instagram.

Perhaps losing 2fa is a sign for the best.

Edit: I do not mean to be condescending or aggressive with this comment, or put down people who use instagram. Im just expressing some of my views on the subject.

675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quantum Computers and their potential effect on Bitcoin collectibles. on: February 06, 2022, 01:40:50 AM
If this is the case...why would a hardware wallets pub and priv key be safe? Wouldnt they also be cracked? So where would a person store his btc then?

Cracking the hash algorithm would mean that no form of key generation would at that point be safe. The owner of the quantum computer could brute force his way into your 24 seed words and back end steal the coins in your wallet. This would mean that even hardware wallets would not be safe at this theoretical point in time.

If the feds can crack the SHA-256 algorithm we have bigger problems than if we should peel or not peel our meme coin collections.
