661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AnimeCoin [アニメコイン] ANI on: June 05, 2014, 09:24:47 AM
we need to create a ANI giveaway for mintpal votes Wink

It seems to be a nice idea. How does it work?

I've been voting almost hourly there, but it seems to be impossible to reach the top of the list, it would take all of us voting hourly for some days.

Enjoy!  Smiley

Good work !

Anime trade will pick up when the wallets become more distributed.

Hi, Majormax. It's good to see you here.

I have all these FUDsters ignored, and I'd surely appreciate it if they weren't quoted (or quoted with words/pictures removed)  I'm already aggravated enough with the leader of our government today, don't need to be pushed into homicidal rage, thanks Wink LOL

Agreed. Just ignore these FUDsters. Will they bring any benefit at all for us? Not the least... Do not feed them. Leave them crying alone.
665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AnimeCoin [アニメコイン] ANI on: June 05, 2014, 01:16:25 AM
I reckon we as a community should band together and raise the value of ANI by a thousand times, by deciding not to sell ANI for less than a certain amount. The reason I say this is because it will then be far easier to pay for votes on Mintpal and other exchanges. We will then also be able to convince people that they can buy and sell manga/anime merchandise using ANI. I believe Animecoin has a great future ahead of it. I'll send a donation once I hit 1.1mil. What do you all think of this idea?

I totally agree with you that this is a very important subject. I have been mining (and even buying) Animecoin for quite a long time now, and I have never sold a single "penny" of it. I Prefer donating or giving tips and bounties than to sell it for a cheap contemptible price.

What we have to keep in mind is that, although it's affective value can be quite high for us, the "price" of the Animecoin must be in tune with the reality of the average anime lover, in other words the anime and manga lovers must be able to afford it easily enough, but at the same time, a manga price cannot be 500,000ANI!!! It would not be practical at all!

Well, I would never sell my ANIs for less than 0.000005BTC, although, in my opinion, it's ideal exchange rate would be of 0.00005BTC: a value which would be in perfect equilibrium, not being too expensive (affordable for any manga lover), and also would not be excessively demeaning (a manga would cost about 200ANI).

But, in theory it's great. Now to put this in practice, it's quite different. It's not that easy to control the exchange rate. If you look at the exchanges, there's ANI being offered for 0.00000002BTC, and even 0.00000001 below it's exchange rate!

It must come from each one of us. Each person gives the value to their own animecoins: some will accept to sell it for nothing, some will treasure it and love it Wink

é ja era 1 dia e meio assim ja sem noticias ja era ...

Caraca, muita sac@nagem.

Hi, testz, someone needs your help at http://www.reddit.com/r/animecoin/comments/26t6ca/animecoin_wallet_0832_updated_with_the_heartbleed/chz1s3c?context=3

jmsr1978 (from Reddit) is not being able to install your updated version of the Animecoin wallet. Can you help him with those issues?

(I have installed it here at my Windows 7 machine, and it has been working flawlessly, but in his case, he uses Windows 8, as he's said.)

Thank you!

^^

Any dev activity for this coin?

No, everything works as expected. What do you think should be implemented?

This for example : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=423339.msg6560809#msg6560809

would be great

FaSan

This is a not a problem, it's easy to recompile with new OpenSSL (1.0.1g 7 Apr 2014), anyway SSL HeartBleed fix not so important because bitcoin based coin doesn't use OpenSSL vulnerable functions.

I recompile the Windows version with this fix, Windows installer and release notes you can find here:
https://github.com/testzcrypto/Animecoin/releases/tag/0.8.3.2

Let's me know if everybody need the Mac version.

All rest "X11 algo, with PoW and PoS" this is something which community should decide.
Personally I don't see the reason to change algo to X11.

 >  > This is a good idea, one other thing you guys could do is make a donation address that people can easily donate to to go towards developing ANI in various aspects. In this case it would be availability of exchanges.
We could also reward donators by giving them a reddit flair that shows people that they are a donator. People who chip in more that 0.01btc can have a custom flair with their favorite characters from their favorite anime. (which I can do if you hire me to make the reddit theme and css, costs 0.08btc though). Maybe we could have a list in the header with the top donators too. I really love the idea behind this coin and it does have a lot of potential.

Ok, my friends, we need more action here: What are we waiting for? If we do not start working nothing will happen! Animecoin community is able to reach our dreams! I truly have faith in us.

First thing that comes to my mind: We urgently need to start a crowdfund for bounties. This is our natural step in order to be possible to afford for the works that we need be done (to pay for marketing, for Mintpal listing, or for an Android Animecoin Wallet App, for example).

Another important thing is to form a Comission: a group of people who will donate their work in benefit of the Animecoin Community.

I volunteer to be part of the Animecoin Commission. It's the least I could do in order to contribute for our Community to make progresses.

In relation to the croudfunding, I took the liberty to create these two addresses specifically to receive funds for our bounties crowdfunding:

Animecoin Community CrowdFunding

 - Animecoin:
ASR7...fSHLS (please see donation address at http://animecoiner.blogspot.com/p/crowdfunding.html)

 - Bitcoin:
14oU...5vEpe  (please see donation address at http://animecoiner.blogspot.com/p/crowdfunding.html)

*Edit: I've edited the deposit addresses because I am not sure if it is against the Bitcoin Forum rules to publish addresses here, but they are also available at http://animecoiner.blogspot.com/2014/06/animecoin-community-crowdfunding.html

Whenever any payment is sent to one of those addresses, I request that the sender announces it here, making it public for our community, always informing the respective TxId. I'll keep a list of donations here at our community, and a backup copy at Animecoiner.blogspot.com

So, with faith that our Animecoin Community will always be united, I remain, waiting for your opinions, proposals, and actions.

どうもありがとうございます

From what I have seen in the community the hiro dev is a very very good coder who is a weapon at troubleshooting.

+1 This is great, Hiro is a really good developer period, and him helping Darkcoin is a really good thing.

Yes Hiro is a great dev and has been a true asset to Darkcoin! I'll be including some more info about what he's helping with in the next development update

Good news! Darkcoin dev becoming stronger!

Always remember: That which does not kill us makes us stronger

OK, i have said nothing before on this Thread , so those will be my first and last words.
I am German so please forgive me my bad english.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First of all i want to say this thread is pretty much fun to read, especialy the Picture postings  Grin.
Trolls are super funny and FUD spreader are made mouthshut so fast,
that i can feel the strong communitybound here right back to my House. Applause for that on this line *clap, clap, clap*.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(...)
Some words in the End:

I dont know the dev. team , neither if they are good nor if they are competent (pls somebody sum. me up something about them and their plans.).And yes, its true the core devs. of Bitcoin are getting huge support.
But pls stop talking about " Script was copy/pastet bla bla bla...everything is stolen bla bla bla" EVERY Coin is a copypaste and there some
core implementations which are just good enough to be used again. Thats why bitcoin is a TEST which every coin is.
So calm down People Darkcoin is in the core as good Bitcoin. Plus it has learing from Bitcoins failures in the past . Plus hey...it has
Darksend.

So yeah.. take a seat on the Couche , quote me if you agree with my thoughs , if not ignor...  but on the long run i say:

The Dark Knight is Rising. And not just him its the whole Cryptoscene have to rise , i wish we had a Socialnetwork in which we could organise our self localy, regionaly and nationaly to show the world who we are and what we want. Because i feel very lonely when i talk to my friends about cryptocurrencies and their are just looking at me like Coala bears. Thats why i puke all my thoughts on bitcointalk, thats why i think trolls
existig here, just scream out for some attention ...its just natural we are social animals ...sientificly proven ...sorry for that.

greetings,

Reavon

Very good post. Danke! ^^

anyone here experience same problem ?

No, but I think there may be something much more sinister behind all the "being hacked" stories.
I think they have been short selling against their customers and got squeezed.

Just a gut feeling, though.

Yes, I agree that being hacked IS something that an exchange cannot afford. They MUST take every single measure to be protected. Still, it's possible to happen for it's a business risk. Now the difference is: a good, serious exchange will never have this business risk affect it's clients lest loosing reputation. In the maket, no reputation means no deals.

I've never had a problem with them despite what everyone was saying, but I have just zeroed all my balances there. I had started their verification process because I wanted to trade DRK/USD if it is ever available. The response I've got is so lame that it almost feels like a joke:

BTW, they have lowered their withdrawal fee for DRK from 0.1 to a more reasonable 0.01.

Hi, Fernando.

I don't have any balance left there also (but only for about 235DOGE left that I have not been interested in withdrawing). So it's been quite a long time I don't visit Cryptsy.

I believe they really have to comply with some goverment rules and from your case it seems that governments, eager to implement their biometric scheme, are imposing that exchanges have their clients face scanned (please, notice that my intention here is not to FUD, but I'm afraid it cannot be avoided in this situation, because indeed, governments want to f#&k up with our privacy)
674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: June 04, 2014, 12:02:27 PM
Was Bitcoin at any stage, any part of it closed source? No of course not. Anonymous closed source what a joke.

The crypto landscape these days is completely different than it was back then when Bitcoin was being developed. Satoshi didn't have to worry about competition. If DarkSend was open source from the start, we would have at least 20 shitcoins using "DarkSend", just copy-pasting release candidate versions and gullible people investing and losing their money in their scams.

And if you bothered to read the answer, the DarkSend part will be open source when it's matured enough. It's still in release candidate phase after all. This will happen in few weeks time. Until then, you don't have to use the DarkSend part at all.

Bitcoin is a million times more technologically advanced that Darkcoin ever will be after all its just a copy/paste of the original.

I guess this was your attempt of a joke?

Please don't bring satoshi in this mess...

The guy couldn't care less about competition , he had little interest if no interest in the value
He just cared about his project and what could bitcoin bring new to the world.

He probably was the only true idealist in the crypto world.

And probably that's why he mined a shitload of it for himself but didn't randomly gave his coins away. Grin
I think it's 50/50 if he plans to spend some (if not all) of that later or destroyed the private keys already. We don't know.

He didn't really mined by himself , there were few people who also mined a few blocks but at that time not many bothered with his project and many called it stupid.
He had no other way of keeping the coin alive but mining it....

He didn't instamine , he didn't sell the coin in an ipo
If he is still alive I doubt he still has access to all those coins.

I also believe he has lost the private keys. At that time he was aimed at the project, not at profits.

I have never had any problems with Cryptsy. People love spreading fear all around just for the sake of fun.

The market in general is so simple: loyalty = reputation - If you don't trust it, just don't deal with it.

Spreading fear is not the best of the practices, actually it's very disloyal. In the long run, FUD spreaders always loose in reputation.

Hero member FUD - we should be so proud. We have been promoted from the slack jaw trailer trash trolls to bitcoiners who are starting to shake in their boots hahaha

Bingo!! Darkcoin IS something to be proud of:

 -A great dev team

 - More and more merchant acceptance

 - DRK/USD market

 - Huge trade volume

 - The Darksend coming

 - Phony government agent complaining at the Bitcoin Forum (lol)

- Crying babies hero members angry because they did not believe in Darkcoin at it's beginning, and now they are trying to spread FUD in order to try to buy it a little cheaper

Thank god I was intelligent enough to have mined DRKs at it's very beginning, to not having spent any penny of it, and to have bought more and more of it in every opportunity I had

I see no need to fight these trolls, because truth always wins: it's inevitable.

* BTW, Hero fudder, it's not my DRKs you're going to buy... at least not before the DRK/BTC exchange rate parity Wink
