Wallet v2.3.1-beta should be ready for download in 1-2 hours. Will post once it is uploaded. Before that these are the shots of all the stuff we newly included in this wallet version.

Do note that this is a short Beta version. If we find all is well within the first few days, we will release the final version soon enough.

Overview Page

We have changed the layout of SFRMS since the previous version making it much more easier to use and understand. Just enter an address that you would like to use, any sort of message and an alias. With SFRMS you can receive coins through SFRSend+ without giving out your address to the public. Your alias is paired with the SFR address you provided so you do not need to disclose your address. Optionally you can enter your email on which you would like to receive SFR transaction alerts. A bit like your bank account where you are notified of deposits and withdrawals.
We have removed the anonymous encrypted messaging service "POOF!" from this version because we feel it is better to have this in a mobile wallet. We will integrate POOF! in our upcoming mobile wallet along with self-destructing voice messages!

SFRSend / SFRSend+

We are providing 2 types of anonymity techniques.
Have a look at this post where it is explained how these work : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=586320.msg7947438#msg7947438 .
Do note SFRSend+ is the only anonymizing technique that allows you to receive your coins without disclosing your wallet address to the sender. Just give that person your SFRMS alias and ask him/her to use the latest wallet. It is not necessary for the sender to have an SFRMS alias.
We developed this feature keeping in mind the privacy of users and some suggestions by the community. Many would not like to disclose their SFR address since anyone can look it up on the blockchain and find all your transactions and balances. With SFRSend+, your wallet address privacy is assured.
Do note that a transaction fee of 2% is taken for every transaction. This is done to discourage the use of anon unnecessarily since these services can bloat the blockchain a bit.

Fully-Fledged trading on Exchanges

We are the first ones to make use of webkit technology in crypto-wallets. Our first features with webkit included built in IRC and exchange rates.
With Webkit, we can do amazing stuff. So now we have included fully-fledged exchanges built into the wallet. Currently we have included only Bittrex and Mintpal. We will only include those exchanges that are trading SFR. We included Mintpal because we felt Mintpal may add us soon. It is just an assumption. When other bigger exchanges add us, we will include them. There are various benefits of using in wallet trading even though you can do the same thing on a web browser. It depends from person to person. But with in built wallet trading, you do not have to deal with browser vulnerabilities or other sort of bugs. Also each webkit container is independant of itself and doesnt affect the working of other features in the wallet.
Do note that, Bittrex may lag a bit for some. It even lags for me when I personally use it on a browser. Incase you feel there is lag, just click the "Mintpal" button. Mintpal will load and then you can click back to Bittrex.

Fully-Fledged built-in Block Explorer

It is great to have a block explorer in the wallet to quickly look up some transactions or the rich list. Others have included in a way of text-based but we are the only ones to have a full GUI based built-in block explorer. This is also much easier to use and packs more features than a Text-based explorer.

SFRBit

We would first like to give credit to VeriCoin to first implement such a useful feature. It is a necessity in the altcoin world.
SFRBit basically lets you buy goods/services on places that accept Bitcoin using your SFR. So if you don't have Bitcoins, no problem, if you have SaffronCoins, you can pay for that item.
Do note that a transaction fee of 1.5% is taken on every SFRBit transaction. The minimum BTC that you can send in 0.0005 and the max. is 0.1 BTC per transaction. Since this is a Beta wallet, we have kept these constraints. The max. amount will be increased later.
Have a look at this post about our successful testing of SFRBit : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=586320.msg7962974#msg7962974

Once the wallet is ready to download, I will post about it.

I looked further all I see is a screenshot saying we have some working feature, which could absolutely be a photoshop.

No thx.

You are welcome! Nice deduction!  Grin

Any chances for saffron coin to add more algo then the current 5?

Yes we are flexible to add any algo that has a lot of promise. We had thought of X15 once but then realized it is not yet ready to be used on a largescale and still is not that efficient. In all the X* algos, X11 is the most stable and most efficient.
Once a new algo comes out that gets appreciation like how Scrypt or X11 got, then we would certainly consider it. We would mostly strip one algo out to include a new one. Too many algos are not good.

What about NIST or cryptonite? Smiley
But I don't know well cryptonite and if it's possible to implement it  Huh

NIST is good. I was personally impressed by it. But it is still young. Every algo we include needs a hardfork so we need to be absolutely sure that algo is worth it and free from any sort of bugs and is widely used. Too many hardforks are certainly not good. We will wait for a few months to see if NIST has made a huge mark. Probably by that time a better algo might creep out.

No offence sir Smiley

I'm just interested in from where you take BTC to convert transaction? How it will work?

No probs. We will update details on all the features soon.

True? Mate, that's the reason I posted a shot showing the BitPay confirmation. I also highlighted the BTC address to show they match. We update our development progress with screenshots frequently in about 2-3 days.

We don't scam.  Smiley

-devs are always active, have great credentials and extremely transparent. Their names, locations and credentials were listed on the reuters article

I saw the contact info in the Reuters article but no bio info there or on the site. Was there another Reuters article besides the one in the OP?

Location is specified. We are based in India. Some know me from twitter. My handler is @sfrdev and name is Roshan.

Once we complete our immediate developments, we will have a google hangout with all of you so you can have a better idea with what your dealing with. It will also help in transparency for both sides. We will try to integrate the hangout in the wallet.

P.S. I appreciate your interest in the coin and i agree with many scams, you need to do your homework well. Feel free to ask me anything. You can also hop onto IRC #Saffroncoin. I am available most of the time there.

Guys one more thing, SaffronBit or SFRBit? Same thing for anon.

We have received reviews from some that say SFRBit/SFRSend is quite difficult to pronounce. Just that "SFR" has to be spelled out in letters. But SaffronBit becomes quite a bit long name.

671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SFR] SaffronCoin Multi Algo X11|Blake - SFRMS | SFRBit | SFRSend+ on: July 22, 2014, 03:30:10 AM
So where is 1 BTC fool ?? It was not a bet
Are you speaking English ? no i am speaking a different language

I mean Deposit and Mined is totally different . i gave evidence of my claim which was proven false

I will remember that when you make a mistake and try to set it right by acknowledging it and apologizing.

Its better that i know now my previous assumptions were false rather  than having not said anything

We are cool.

Yo better buy SFR now.

well i did at one point as you can see below Smiley

Any way i like the direction you guys are moving toward. I think it would be cool for our teams (MYR and SFR) to work together to tackle future issues as they arise.

Yea ofcourse. We would like that at some point.

Hey guys we have now successfully tested SFRBit by actually using SFR as a payment option where Bitcoins are accepted!

Purchased a Gift Card for testing from gyft.com that uses the Bitpay payment gateway Tongue

Here are the shots :

We can confirm that SFRSend, SFRSend+ and SFRBit are succesfully tested. We now have to change the UI for activating SFRMS and bit window resizing bug which was there in the earlier version. Once all this is done, we will post the exact time of wallet release v2.3.1

X11 and Blake were included later. I did mention about what kind of miners is required though.

All cool. Atleast you clarified about it and cross-checked.

First prove it. I don't want to waste my time on stuff like this. I was the one who designed this and I myself don't know. Lol. If it was true, then why hasn't anyone else reported it. Many on this thread are from the start and none are aware of this?

Stop wasting everyone's time.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO i rember WAYYYYYYYYYYYY in  the beginning when each block was 1000 SFR HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

im sorry i just hate dishonest people

He hates everything running more than one algo and that is not myriad. A perfect FUD spreader without anything to back what he says.

sorry to lay it down like this but i dont kid around about shit like this

https://i.imgur.com/MNmW40H.png?1

and if you STILL want to believe lies. I will take the time to find 100% irrefutable proof of this. BUT i want 1 BTC put into a public escrow account to give me when I deliver. STILL DONT BELIEVE ME?

fucking scams fucking morons

Huh where is the proof that those are mined blocks? You are showing deposits you moron. Check the code for heaven's sake or ask someone too. 1000 coins per each block was never created except for random superblocks. Ask anyone who was with the coin from the start.

And please take the time to find 100% irrefutable proof. We would all want to see.

Fish man. I am the Dev and I myself don't know that this coin is giving 1000 blocks??? Lol get a life mate.

EDIT : Forget 1 BTC. Dude i will bloody hell give you 5 BTC if you can prove it. Go troll somewhere else.
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPEC] SpectrumCoin - X11|X13|Groestl|Keccak|Blake|Scrypt - Exchange on: July 21, 2014, 06:09:33 PM
Just an FYI

If anyone here, from the comments i can see there may be a couple, looking for sonething besides a PND or scam (SFR mined 1000coins per block then what happened all of a sudden 72 or who cares coi s per block.)

Long story short if your want something worthwhile to invest in for more a week then taking a massive dimp on someone elses face.. and hope not to hold the bag  of shit.. let alone participate in a community... lol or an alias dev with no reputation .. sorry im just rambling on instead of being straight up and to the point. But you guys like suspence hoping one of your scam coins with usually hours or days of mining before POS just hoping someone who MOST OBVIOUSLY has 10% or more of the total supply wont do a 51% stake attak .. wait what... yout shitting me... im dreaming no one is that dumb to actually buy.. oh my jesus... 10 TO 30% NEEDED NOT 51% TO TAKE CONTROL OF THE ENTIRE COINS NETWORK. MY GOD....

Sorry im obvioualy dreaming so dont mind me being all holyfuxkawhagsa about people who love getting scammed over and over...

If that was a reality and not a dream... the crypto world would need a MYRacle or wow satoshi to come allong and shake some senc withe into the crypto
world which already forgot why he started bitcoin to in the first place.

Time for me to wake up and hope this is just a dream and MY Revelation is all just MY Really overactive imagination... ZzZzzzZzzZzz

I am only commenting here because you have no idea of what you are talking about. It is important for us to clear any conclusion because you just can't brainwash others. There is not a single evidence to show SFR is a scam. You are the only one trolling about. I know you are a great MYR supporter. Even I am. We gave credit to them when we first launched because multi-algos is pretty cool and provides much more security. But that doesn't mean you give out baseless facts about SFR. It looks like you are trolling every multi-algo coin. I have also clarified on the SFR thread where you trolled, that points are baseless. You probably don't follow that thread. So i am posting it here so that everyone else knows that you are trying to brainwash them.

You said every block was 1000. When was each block 1000? The first 2 days of launch, the block rewards were 3*72 SFR = 216 SFR. A random superblock was generated for some very lucky persons at 3*72*5= 1080 SFR.

Only 2 have recorded to receive 1080 in a block and that was only for the first 2 days - April 28 an April 29 2014. Now the random superblocks are 5*72 = 360 which is again exceedingly difficult to get.

Suddenly popping up and trolling will make you think like that. If you have followed the thread then you would understand.

To others , sorry that i have posted about another coin here but i guess you all need to know that iamphoenix is giving false "scam alerts" without any base and facts. He probably didn't like another multi-algo coin and never bothered to read the specs properly.

Thank you

You can try this : https://cointweak.com/calculator/coin/sfr/sha-256

It is a profitability calculator.

You can check for various algorithms on it.

Got it. That's what I was asking. This is actually better than using exchanges for this purpose because exchanging it through exchanges may not strengthen the SFR value against BTC since everyone's selling SFR.

I guess you have kept a fat wallet for this SFRbit :-)

Yea also on exchanges it causes prices to drop drastically. But then even we sell those SFR ultimately because we need to replenish the BTC.

At present I am keeping limitations on the max amount that can be sent. I am not very rich to hold a lot of BTC. So right now i have kept some to initiate this conversion. But soon i will be looking at some external exchanges. I will try asking Unocoin if they can provide an API and host the SFR daemon just to handle this conversion. Also BTC kept is not actually spent because the SFR received will be converted back to BTC for us soon enough to not have huge price fluctuations. Once this becomes quite popular, we need a huge BTC wallet. So its best to partner with many exchanges to make this possible. It is also a very essential feature. You can buy stuff on ebay with SFR even if you don't have BTC.
