661  Economy / Gambling / Re: flinch.io — social real-time gambling on: February 01, 2017, 09:10:31 PM
Wow, interesting and new concept, I never seen anything like that done with bitcoin! I love it.
Do you plan of having any kind of promotion? Opening giveaway or bonus credits to newly registered users?
662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Introducing bitcoin is not that easy on: February 01, 2017, 08:14:52 PM
If we say bitcoin equals money, then everyone will quickly understand. In my opinion, introduce the bitcoin is not difficult, depending on how we are talk. We recommend that you use a parable that bitcoin it equals money, so people will be interested to find and use it.
The problem is that vast majority of people are still bound to that centralized concept of everything, for them it is needed to have central authority or some higher power ruling things.
Decentralization is alien and undesired - first question I usually get when I try to teach someone of BTC is: "but how BTC can be currency if there is no one backing it?".
With this type of mindset there is really little you can do to convince people that BTC can be successful sovereign digital currency backed by all its users.
663  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: We need decentralized Mixers services on: February 01, 2017, 07:55:37 PM
Look at something we have already - decentralized bitcoin exchanges, like for example Bitsquare. It should be so good... So why I don't know anyone who uses that exchange?
If decentralized services are our future and are that good then Bitsquare should be top bitcoin exchange by far. Instead it is nothing more that less popular alternative to standard totally centralized markets.
So why decentralized mixers would be any different?
664  Economy / Speculation / Re: it IS time for rise on: February 01, 2017, 07:46:10 PM
Can't say about daily trading, but it will be above 1500$ at the end of 2017 definitely.
Or we could stay under $1000 for the whole year. We entered a pretty flat market and it is miracle that this upward trend formed.
It happened against technical indicators which suggested further consolidation and even possible downward trend.
665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Survey Blockchain Adoption - need help on: February 01, 2017, 05:08:50 PM
Just to clarify - you only need help from citizens of these countries you mentioned?
If we are not bitcoin users from Germany, South Korea, Iceland or the United States our opinion is not needed for your research?
666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Qtum]UTXO based POS Smart Contract Platform-QA Feb1st Patrick/Earlz/BoShen on: February 01, 2017, 12:14:57 AM
Thanks for the update, Qtum, it is nice you want to organize Q&A sessions. Unfortunately, I won't be able to participate in this event.

I visited your website to download a WP (or at least a draft of it as you call it) and I have to compliment the design of your site,
that dots in the background creating larger structures when you point over a cursor, brilliant idea.
667  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is there truest religion? on: January 31, 2017, 11:57:35 PM
Let me ask you something first, have you guys seen that movie "Planet of the Apes" (remake from 2001)? If not watch it.
There are evolved apes which created their own religion. They worship ancient Prime Ape which gave birth/created all other apes.
They have holy figures of that prime ape, pray to it... When you see that scene in the movie, you will realize that 99% of our religions are the same concept.
We don't know everything yet and things we don't explain rationally we blame on religion.
668  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-01-31] Federal Reserve Employee Mines Bitcoin Using the Fed’s Server on: January 31, 2017, 11:39:43 PM
Well I guess he is happy now. Time he spent mining (from 2012 to 2014) earned him a lot more than few thousands of dollars that he is fined with that servers, especially since that was not time of ASIC miners (first was here in 2015)
What are you talking about? ASIC is way older, these circuits weren't introduced in 2015, AFAIK first ASIC was delivered to miners in January 2013.
First ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) was made by Avalon and performed at 67.5 GH/s.

669  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best way to invest/grow your Bitcoins? on: January 31, 2017, 11:15:23 PM
... says the member of a signature campaign. While I'm sure you don't post to make money, most signature campaign members do. Signature campaigns make equally trivial amounts of money. A person can make more money doing menial labor than they can make by posting for a signature campaign.
Again, you're forgetting about discrepancies of the world wealth distribution and existence of the 2nd and 3rd world countries.
There are places where signature campaign monthly wage is higher than money people can earn by doing 'mental labor' in 'real job.
Minimum wage of $15/hr is reality only in the wealthiest countries in the world. Citizens of 1st world nations tend to forget that part.
670  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can the price of bitcoin still skyrocket on: January 31, 2017, 10:44:15 PM
The price of bitcoin can definitely skyrocket provided the supply or demand of bitcoin is stimulated, though this time around politics seem to be driving the crypto economy of bitcoins as it demoralizes  investor confidence who can possibly pump the price.
'Definitely' is not good word to use here. Bitcoin has problems which may hinder its further adoption, problems of both internal (scaling debate, solving possible fork problem)
and external nature (legislation, possible issues with bitcoin satellite services). It is not that 'sure' at this moment that network is ready to accept great number of users/transactions.
671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Augmentor on: January 31, 2017, 09:03:12 PM
And what that ICO has to do with bitcoin? It is clear that they will create their own token and base the game around it.
This project might be from Bitcoin Shark Tank but the idea is not linked to BTC. This thread should be moved to altcoin section.
672  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price ready to increase ~$25 USD per day during this year. on: January 31, 2017, 08:54:42 PM
And if that new prophecy won't fulfill itself by 2018, then Tim Draper will simply say that it might take yet another year to come true?
Let's face it - he assumed after that ATH pump in 2013 that bitcoin will double its value and repeat that pump cycle again every year.
Now we know that this clearly won't happen.
673  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who voted for trump? on: January 30, 2017, 09:15:20 PM
Why donald trump ban the 7 muslims countries?
He probly has a black heart stone, and idk who's that moron that voted for trump you destroyed the U.S with your hands.

FBI is currently undegoing over 1000 investigations of potential Muslim terrorism in the US. Do you think this is just Trump hate that pushed him to this?
Look at Europe, in recent 20 years, AFAIK there wasn't even 1 case of non Muslim terrorist attack happening. Coincidence?
674  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Using Bitcoin and altcoins when under 18 on: January 30, 2017, 09:10:29 PM
you can try poloniex or bittrex for altcoin trading, i don't remember bittrex asking for any minimum age for trading, nor they can't prove it, because they don't even require document for trading that do not involve fiat
I don't trade od Bittrex but I checked their site and I found this:

What are the different levels of verification?

"We support two types of accounts.

Basic accounts can trade up to $2000 or digital currency equivalent per day
Enhanced accounts have no trade limits and have access to our fiat markets once they are available"

How do you verify accounts?

"Basic accounts require users to submit their name, address, and birth date to us.  We verify it through public records.
If we can verify you through public records, we will accept your application for a basic account.  If we cant, you will need to apply for an advanced account."

And now I am not sure abut this statement: What does it mean they verify it through public records? What public records they are talking about?

675  Economy / Economics / Re: John McAffee: "In 2 years Years btc will only have 25% of the Crypto MarketCap" on: January 30, 2017, 08:58:04 PM
I heard that Craig Wright - a supposed person behind Satoshi alias will be the face behind some new altcoin. Maybe John McAffee will do the same next?
After all creation of altcoin, IPO/ICO is proved to be the best way to gain money fast, furthermore when backed with well known name promoting it, ICO creators might gather tremendous amount of money.
676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Western Union is getting destroyed by Bitcoin in Switzerland on: January 30, 2017, 08:36:46 PM
I heard that Switzerland is gearing towards crypto acceptance, Bitcoin is Vat-free in Switzerland, in Zug area you can pay taxes with BTC, Swiss railway accepts BTC, banks forcing bitcoin friendly legislation,
but I have no idea that you can buy BTC from every electronic device, I thought is is only couple ATMs.
When bitcoin will fully unfold its wings, Western Union will become a MySpace of money remittance solutions and they know that perfectly well, no wonder they are starting to panic.
677  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think the price of bitcoin will be in 2018 on: January 30, 2017, 08:24:39 PM
As we all know that bitcoin has progressed a lot since it was released and here in 2017 we saw the price of bitcoin was 1000+ USD which is 5x of the price was in 2015.
So what do you think it will be in 2018.

I'd think the price will be around what it is now maybe a little better. We're probably not looking at more than 2x this year. I think the 5x difference was caused by the 2015 tx hacks and the 2016 halving. None of that is expected for this year - hopefully.
Hacks are never expected, until they just happen. Halving has its own schedule set, every 4 years or 210.000 blocks and next one will be in mid 2020.
When predicting the price of BTC. We can only speculate with info we already have about future planned startups, projects, solutions, upgrades for bitcoin protocol - hoping that they will force price of BTC higher.
678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Funding Solar Energy with Bitcoin - a solid state & silicon based economy? on: January 30, 2017, 08:14:43 PM
So all fiat of the world couldn't fix African problem of poverty and lack of electricity and now suddenly bitcoin will help it?I know that even without advanced calculation this is not something we can achieve.
I know for a fact that if we put solar panels on 1/18th of the land area of the Sahara, it would make enough power for all of Europe and Northern Africa. So tell me why why no one did it already?

679  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is up with Coinroyale? on: January 30, 2017, 07:51:34 PM
Coinroyale's management team was left, now is under the new management, the admin there was still there, while inactive within many months. You will have issues to play here.

Where did you get this info?
I would like to know that too, this is the profile of CoinRoyale's admin VictorHing: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=151862
Here is his post history: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=151862;sa=showPosts
I don't see he mentioned anything about changing site's staff or ownership of the service. He don't post much, so I tracked his posts back to mid 2016.
680  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is up with Coinroyale? on: January 28, 2017, 10:28:55 PM
Coinroyale.com is still having issues. I was able to login once and now I can't get back to it. It's still giving the same warning message and when I bypass it and click login it does nothing. What the hell is going on?!?
I tested it again, logged in and out couple times, not a single problem with logging in on my side whatsoever. I tested it on Win7/Chrome.
Are you sure it is site's problem and not some browser add-on, connection issue or your browser's fault?
