661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / percentage of your income you dollar cost average in bitcoin on: September 13, 2023, 11:44:11 AM
what portion of your overall income do you keep aside for the purpose of dollar cost averaging in bitcoin, and what methodologies or criteria do you employ to establish this allocation, thereby guaranteeing a well rounded strategy that aligns beautifully with your individual financial objectives and your level of comfort in dealing with financial risk?
662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN: Give people time! on: September 13, 2023, 11:33:04 AM
2. The amount of energy and time you expend preaching to someone about bitcoin is not a warranty that he will accept what you're offering. Maybe not immediately!
I tried to talk to my dad about bitcoin, but he didn't really listen. instead, he called me dumb for sending money online to someone. he thought i was telling him to invest because i saw it on youTube.
so, he didn't listen to me and didn't invested in Bitcoin.

from this, I have learned that do not try to tell people to invest in things because if they lose money, they might blame you. so, it's better not to give investment advice.
663  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Stake.com Hot wallet robbed for 16Million + usd on: September 13, 2023, 11:08:19 AM
Damn, looks like a hack. If it was an inside transfer, they'd probably confirm it by now, no?

I don't know how much money they're working with on a daily basis, but 40 mil on hot wallets? Looks like way too much.

yes, just see the high rollers on their website, which are wagering in hundred thousands and in millions per bet, so you can imagine how big the stake platform is became now Shocked Shocked
I am not a developer and know very less about coding or hacking. but stake seems very high security casino it's is hard to believe that they also got hacked.
664  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New Ninjastic.space: which features would you like to see? on: September 13, 2023, 10:59:01 AM
snip
I would like to see a merit graph which shows merit transactions per day. like we see post per day graph already on https://ninjastic.space/ website.
Posts of the day kind of section where we can see what are the most hot posts of the day, in which higher amount of merits transacted in 1 day time period.
665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ignore the new Apple toys & Invest in Bitcoin, history always repeat itself. on: September 13, 2023, 10:48:41 AM
having the latest iPhone or other luxury items can be a status symbol. people may feel pressure to keep up with their peers or to project a certain image. this desire for status can lead some individuals to make purchases they may not be able to comfortably afford. but there are other people who understands, this are the wrong things to waste money on and they save money for emergency or invest it for gains.

yes, not wasting money on useless things and investing it in any asset is profitable.

668  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading not for everyone! on: September 12, 2023, 02:00:49 PM
<snip>
nice advice for new traders, they come to trading thinking, i will make 5%-10% profit per day by using leverage, but in trading very low percentage of people can make profits consistently,
beginners used to think i am too smart i will win from the market but they blow their accounts many times, and do not take the truth that trading is not for them, some go in depression after losing so much money,
and wasting their time. it's better to hold for long term it will be more profitable then trading.
669  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin: Bullish or Bearish on: September 12, 2023, 01:53:16 PM
Bitcoin's recent performance has raised concerns, with various factors impacting its trajectory. However, it's important to approach its future outlook rationally.
Technically, Bitcoin faces challenges with a critical support level at around $25,500. A break below this could lead to further declines, potentially testing $20,000.

Most of us don't worry about bitcoin's price in the short term; whether it's bullish or bearish, we simply hodl onto it tightly and securely.
but i think price will fall further down, because FTX's users will sell their bitcoin holdings and other crypto holdings which will cause fall in price.

Quote
FTX administrators have managed to retrieve approximately $7 billion in assets, of which $3.4 billion is in cryptocurrencies. A court hearing scheduled for Wednesday will review a proposal to initiate token sales as part of the creditor repayment plan, as per recent filings.

A presentation highlights that FTX possesses close to $1.2 billion in SOL, Solana’s native token. The asset inventory further includes $560 million in Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency, and $192 million in Ether, the second-largest cryptocurrency.

670  Economy / Economics / Re: Economics 101. Stagflation. on: September 12, 2023, 01:30:51 PM
What may cause stagflation:
here one example of what may cause stagflation: central banks typically use tools like changing interest rates to help the economy. they lower rates to boost the economy and raise rates to control inflation. But in stagflation... this strategy do not work well because when both high inflation and high unemployment happening together. it is like trying to fix two problems at once, which is really hard for central banks to balance.
671  Economy / Economics / Re: I wonder if food prices in your country have also increased? on: September 12, 2023, 12:42:05 PM
Here in India the prices are at all time high of some items, Buying from my local grocery store helped me to save money, because in mall we see big packets of things which are more than we need and buy 2 get 1 free like offers, which causes over spending so, I decided to buy only what i want from my local shop, most of the products in malls are expensive than my local grocery store.

676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / if it's just entry in ledger then why the smalleest unit is satoshi on: September 11, 2023, 02:07:52 PM
We know that bitcoin is not a coin, we just named it as a coin. instead bitcoin is a digital public ledger which is not edited or manipulated by anyone.
so why it has a smallest unit of 1 satoshi, why not less than 1 satoshi like this "0.0000000000001 BTC"? if it's a ledger then why it has a limit?
we can write anything we want in a paper ledger then why in bitcoin's case it's different?
677  Other / Meta / Re: Simplified view of bitcointalk. on: September 11, 2023, 01:54:15 PM
Is there any way to make bitcointalk simple to use for mobile phone users? (You cam share some tips and tricks)
The view of bitcointalk in mobile phone is similar to pc view, but I need to zoom in and zoom out many times to read and write, is there any simplified view available of this forum like many websites have simplified view of websites.

I think you probably need to upgrade your andriod device/phone or work on the settings of the phone you currently use. There has to be an optimize button to help you be able to zoom in and out and make adjustments similar to the way a normal PC would.

on pc we can type read and write without zooming in and out but on phone we need to constantly zoom in and out, slide, etc. always keeping fingers on screen. which i don't like so i wanted to know if their any simplified version, or mobile friendly version of bitcointalk website.

there text are written in a little bigger size, and we don't need to zoom in to read all replies, just scroll after one reply to another reply.

680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do we benefit in lies in forum on: September 11, 2023, 12:22:07 PM
I also think some of them are false stories and achievements, and they get more merits in a single post than many of good contributors to this forum .
maybe they are only some people making multiple accounts and sharing stories like this to earn merit faster or rank up fast and join signature campaigns with multiple accounts and can earn with multiple accounts by signature campaigns .
