661  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitsler witheld my money for 7 days, with no explanation what so ever on: December 21, 2023, 01:16:12 PM
It's quite possible they were waiting for a response from their provider on some of the sports you were betting. They should have given you an explanation regardless. If you are unhappy with their service, check out other books. Seems like they paid you, so really you should have posted this in their main thread and went about your day.
662  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Should I be worried about this? on: December 21, 2023, 12:47:13 PM
Looks like your fears should be settled and you might consider locking this thread now. If you ever have any questions about BPIP you should visit the thread dedicated to the project, they will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.

There is a thread for users to make such announcements https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5391471.0. Don't look at this as people hating on you because we aren't, we just don't see what the significance is of celebrating 1 week logged in except a poor merit attempt.

664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 20, 2023, 02:44:29 PM
I still don't get it why Memphis won that game because the game itself was insane just to watch and if you had a bet on it , this game was not for weak hearts.

However , game of the night was GSW winning against Celtics in OT that should return a bit of confidence back to them , especially now with 3 victories in a row.
With Ja returning for the 1st time this season it was kind of a no brainer to take the points in last nights game. Now for them to win the game was amazing and shows just how much they depend on Morant. I wouldn't bet the farm on Memphis just yet, but I would def consider them a more dangerous opponent at this time.
665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your view on this? Is it fun or addiction? on: December 20, 2023, 02:19:30 PM
Looks to me like a message that you shouldn't allow in your group. Have fun and joke around yes, but someone might take this literal and the world we live in is full of literal snowflakes.

Most likely it is a joke post, but better to remove it and not feel bad later if someone took it literal and ruined their life with a gambling addiction.
666  Economy / Gambling / Re: Joya.Casino| Rewarding Casino| Huge Welcome and VIP Bonus| 20% Weekly CashBack on: December 19, 2023, 02:13:26 PM
Pretty sure the user who posted this announcement is the user who will be managing anything this casino decides to do. I'm not sure their experience, but everyone starts somewhere.
I think the same but I have a different thinking. A project team must create their account and buy a Copper membership to publish their Announcement thread. This account belongs to the project (casino) team and they are completely controlling from posting to updating in their announcement thread.

Relying on a manager or any person who does not belong to internal team of the casino is risky. It will be harder to update the announcement thread in future when a person and the project team no longer work with each other.
I have had teams contact me who want me to post their thread and I try to communicated to them some of your concerns, specifically It will be harder to update the announcement thread in future when a person and the project team no longer work with each other. Very true concern and teams should think before doing this.

Any team who buys an account to launch a project is going to have a hard road. People that dislike account sales are not going to trust a casino that takes this route. I would not suggest that a casino buy an account. Easier to buy the copper membership and have full control of your thread.

I do not know if any of the above is the case, just letting my opinion be known.
667  Economy / Gambling / Re: Joya.Casino| Rewarding Casino| Huge Welcome and VIP Bonus| 20% Weekly CashBack on: December 19, 2023, 01:19:15 PM
The casino features look nice, and I don't know if they will come to bitcointalk for ads and promotions to help them serve their customers better. Are part of the casino team or you are doing this on your won, or the casino told you to advertise for the. These are questions that should be answered so that incase forum members try out the casino and they encounter any problem let them not hold you responsible.

There are good managers here in the forum to help them manage the campaign if they are interested. I just saw where you stated that they have an ANN thread, that is good. We hope to see them could a good reputation here.

Tell the team welcome to the forum @suzanne5223
668  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcasino.io won't let me cashout my money on: December 18, 2023, 02:36:19 PM

This is a loophole that Bitcasino should address if indeed they allow players to bet on Zero blockchain confirmations.
Pretty sure most sites don't allow bets until a deposit is confirmed to avoid the hassle of double spends. I am also pretty sure that Bitcasino or their partners would not just accuse this bettor of an action without good reason. Their reputation is worth way more than $2000. There has to be more to the story that the OP hasn't given us.

I'm not calling the OP a liar and I'm not saying a mixup couldn't have happened, but let's all remember that more than half the accusations we see in this section are false and intended to try to pressure a site to pay or smear a reputation. We shouldn't come to any conclusions without having all the information. Give the site time to respond(if they wish).
669  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 Official Partner of Newcastle United Football Club on: December 18, 2023, 02:25:34 PM
I finally got lucky this weekend after some pretty poor performances in my Superbru pools and turned one of my 0.25 mBTC free bets into a nice 1.5 mBTC win.

Source: Sportsbet.io

Thanks a lot again @Sportsbet.io!  Smiley

That's why we love the Premier League, haha! LFG Newcastle!
Always nice when a parlay wins but even nicer when it wins with free money. Nice win!
670  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: My Dad got Crypto scammed (UFJPRO) on: December 17, 2023, 09:04:51 PM
Dating scam? I don't understand how someone gets scammed these days on dating sites. Was your dad talking with a woman? Did they cam chat? As soon as they ask for money that should be a sign to walk away. If your dad offered a few bucks to help with a bill or whatnot that would be ok, but to lose 100k and not even get the pussy is crazy.

Definitely consult with a lawyer and see if they can get anything done for you, but most likely that money is gone.
671  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk own Casino complaint panel on: December 17, 2023, 07:27:18 PM
At some point, we can conclude scamming customers is a big business model of many Casino or Gambling sites.
Because how many customers will complain publicly?
Not many and even less will finally get a refund.
Some customers will just write a negative review, walk away and Casino or Gambling site will keep all profits.
That might be true of some users who don't know where to complain, but if a panel of users were to be created and someone did some good SEO work, it could end up being a top search result for where to file complaints against casinos. Now whether or not casinos will agree to use said panel as a mediator is another problem.

672  Economy / Gambling / Re: Banned from RollBit for Italian users on: December 17, 2023, 06:14:01 PM
There are other platforms that accept Italian users. I wouldn't put funds at risk if it clearly states in the ToS that you're not supposed to be on the platform. All you're doing is asking for heartache later if you win something decent. Be smart and abandon Rollbit.
673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you confident betting on handicap for heavy favorites or heavy underdog? on: December 17, 2023, 03:23:26 PM
Let's say the handicap is -6.5 or more, which do you prefer to bet on, the favorites, or the underdog?

As we know, every gambler have different strategies in sports betting, they woudl stick to what they are comfortable with and that they think would give them a success in the long run, so this thread is some sort of a survey, maybe newbies or those who have been struggling to find the right strategy might benefit from this.

What can you share based on your experience as well, between the two, which one you have more wins and you find an effective method in your sports betting venture?
It's not simply about picking the favorite or the underdog. If you flip a coin to make your decision, you'll probably do about as good as blindly choosing favorite or the underdog. The oddmakers make so much money because people always like to bet the favorite and a good portion of the time the favorite doesn't cover the spread. You have to use what knowledge you can to analyze the game and decide to give the points or take the points. Look at who is injured(makes a huge difference), weather if it's an outdoor event, teams previous games, coach, and anything else that comes to mind.

Here's 1 of my bets today. Kansas City Chiefs -3.5 Cheifs are favored by 9 in this game but KC doesn't usually cover big spreads, not this year at least. I also do not trust the Partiots to not lose by less than 9. KC got embarrassed last week and lost to Buffalo by 3, so I think they will come out pissed and looking to score alot, but since they don't cover the spread by alot I took lower odds. I'm getting 1.42 for -3.5. There's a good chance they can cover 9 but I don't wanna risk it.

Another bet I have is the New York Giants +10.5. The Giants have won 3 of their last 4 games, the actual spread is New Orleans Saints favored by 5.5. So I took lower odds 1.38 and took alot of points hoping the Giants keep the hot streak up.

I'd rather look to bet a little safer in some situations vs trying to get high odds and maybe throwing away my money.

GazetaBitcoin

Thought to leave a note:
My boy will do a good job. He once helped yahoo62278 too.
GazetaBitcoin did use his services in a giveaway that was hosted for me. I can vouch for that. Everything went pretty smooth from my recollection.

Welcome to bitcointalk, good to see you have taken a look around and purchased a copper membership to be able to announce yourselves properly. I will take a look around the site and be sure to give you my feedback on telegram here soon.
676  Other / Meta / Re: I think it's possible to keep going without banning mixers on: December 16, 2023, 09:30:15 PM
Better safe than sorry right? Why would you want to risk the forum for a few bucks in a signature campaign? Legal or not, why take the risk? Not sure where there is any reason to think twice about it honestly.

Yea some are going to feel like we are being censored or whatnot, but I would rather this place exist vs risking that at some point it might not if we let advertising of mixers happen. Just my 2 cents.
677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prove me wrong: Gambling is both more relaxing and entertaining than trading! on: December 16, 2023, 07:25:18 PM
LE as I am reading the replies
Maybe thrilling was more appropriate than entertaining so feel free to use that!

As it seems I'm the only one betting on horse racing around here we need a bit of intro for this

So, two races out of 4 done by 12:18 GMT time and both horses I was backing, favorites,  Hunters Yarn and  Kourosh dropped their jockeys at the last hurdle, the first did it while being in the lead by 10 lengths, the second when battling for the first place, lost a bit on them and probably more to come as I'm 1 out of 5 bets right now but I didn't feel any remorse or regret or anything like this, moreover I feel really good because I saw some really entertaining races with a change in the last moment.
On the other hand, whenever I trade even if it's just small, really small positions and I lose a few $ I feel bad, I always tell to myself why I even bother to do it.

So hear me out:

With gambling, you chose on who to bet when to bet , once you do you you wait for the outcome at a fixed time!
With trading you chose your pair coins, you have to wait for the price to reach what you think it's an entry point and then set limits , watch the damn numbers even for days, even if you cash out in profit there can always be a regret you haven't kept the position opened.

Three is little that can influence a sport event outside of what you know, with coins it just takes a stupid hack or some gov going bananas on crypto out of nowhere while you sleep and you have your house full of trading alarms like you're in a police raid.

TA analysis is just Timeform, there is no difference between them , they show something that happened in the past with a coin and the form of a horse , in both cases you're looking at past performance and trying to figure the outcome.

I can't find numbers on the screen entertaining, if somebody tells me numbers and lines are more entertaining that this, I think there is something wrong with you!  Wink

So prove me wrong (if you think I am), what am I missing?

I cannot even remotely get myself interested in trading at all. Seems like a very boring way to spend my days. With sports, I can place a bet and be entertained for 2-3 hours per game and relax and enjoy myself. Basically, I agree with your assessment that betting sports is way more entertaining.
678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: December 16, 2023, 02:52:08 PM
The terms and conditions of casinos and other companies is usually very lengthy and somehow boring for some people. Hence , many people rarely find time to read them. They may actually contain some of the complaints that people raise about some casinos such requiring KYC if there is need or suspicion of money laundering activities.

What is your take on this?
I'm going to bet that 90% or more of the players who sign up for a casino do not read the ToS. That's why we see so many scam accusations and a good portion of those are from users that didn't read the ToS and are breaking them.

If you are going to be a regular player on a site and deposit a decent amount of money(loose term as decent can be different amounts to everyone), it's best to make sure you know the sites rules and will be able to cashout on a big win.
679  Economy / Reputation / Re: My Grandma is in a critical situation. Asking everyone for help. on: December 15, 2023, 10:27:15 PM
Royse777, Thank you for at least having sense here and asking for further IRL proof of the situation rather than being one of the people investigating him over a $4 donation, although reading this information makes me feel sad to hear actually.
People are always going to want some sort of proof no matter who it is. It's nothing against him, it's just being smart and not falling victim to a scam. Even the most trusted will be questioned by someone.

OP, sorry your family member passed on. Hopefully you have some family that you can be with and comfort each other while you are preparing for a funeral service.
680  Economy / Services / Re: please help to fast this btc Transactions on: December 15, 2023, 05:19:10 PM
Probably going to be awhile before that transaction confirms. It was sent with a 30.2 sat per vbyte fee and currently transactions needs over 200 sat per vbyte fee to confirm quickly.

You can try viabtc free accelerator or pay to speed it up, but likely it'll cost too much to speed it up with the paid option. I'd ask again for the sender to RBF and see if they will.

please help to fast this Transactions sender refuse edit fees
3a39e9ba4baab80d33263431e93b5fca69946cdb0a9db83751947e4e6a92d718
With only 30 satoshi per vbyte, it's unlikely to get confirmed sooner. I have been waiting for my transaction with 240 satoshi per byte for hours.
Sorry to tell you that you may wait several days if the btc network will stay congested like it is now.
You can also try paid Accelerator services like ViaBTC or better convince the sender to bump fees if you can't do it yourself using CPFP feature.
Way to say the exact same thing I just said. Reminds me of 8mile and eminem saying "pay attention meathead, you're saying the same thing that he said".
