661  Economy / Economics / Re: How can it be possible coping with one source of income on: February 24, 2024, 12:25:02 PM
Through out last year I find it hard to get things done with funds despite how my earning was and I find it hard to spend more on my bills around me , though I have been seeing some humans earning and paying bills with one source of income and I do ask myself how is it done

please your advice will be of help
Your post is too generic. We don't know how much your income is, how much your expenses are, how much the income and expenses of the 'humans' you are comparing yourself to are. Maybe you are spending too much on things you shouldn't, maybe your income is too low and the income of other people are higher, due to the kind of work they do, or maybe they have another sources of income and you don't even know, because informations about personal finances aren't the kind of thing people share with each other. There are so many variables that without further details we can't reach to any conclusions...

If you want advice you have to help people to help you by providing further informations and context.
662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin, for long time Holding on: February 24, 2024, 12:12:36 PM
There are many types of Bitcoin investors, some invest for long-term holdings, while others invest for short-term holdings. But one thing is true, those who invest in Bitcoin for short term are never able to achieve anything big. On the contrary, they face more losses.
It's not a precise rule. There are exceptions. We just advise people into investing for the long term, because we know this market is unpredictable on short run, therefore unexpected dumps and dips may happen anytime without further notice. So, investors have to be prepared to hold for long periods of time, if necessary. However, a lucky investor can start his BTC investment on the exact moment Bitcoin begins to skyrocket, therefore he won't have to wait for too long until selling his coins for profit. It's a hypothetical example of big profit on short term.

In the end a short term investor can make the same profit a long term investor is making. It all depends the moment they began investing in Bitcoin. For long term investors, the worst case is when they have made their Bitcoin purchases during previous ATHs, what means they have to hold for years until being able to profit from their investments.
663  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The best way to fight insecurity in our society on: February 24, 2024, 09:57:06 AM
There will be always aggressive countries bullying other countries for different reasons and then playing the victims role in the end, once they are supressed. These countries create insecurity for the whole world, and as consequence, another countries have to become defensive on this matter, and invest economical and human resources in securities as well.

I don't think it's a waste. It's a necessary measure to keep the world relatively safe from terrorists, dictators and sociopaths. I say relatively safe, because threats are always present, so I think to keep the world balanced, at least, would be a more appropriate concept, since that is the current scenario we live in the world, where its splitted in two, and both sides are potentially harmful to each other.

Personally, I don't think it's possible to live without investing in securities, even in our private life that is something we have to worry about. That is why we close the doors and windows of our houses, install security cameras, lock up our vehicles, pay attention to who is surrouding us on the streets and not boast money, cellphones and jewels everywhere.

To dream about a perfect world doesn't make it a perfect world for real. You have to be aware this is a wicked world, acting accordingly to its reality to protect your physical integrity.
664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What game will you choose for one shot big bet? on: February 24, 2024, 09:05:49 AM
Hypothetically, if you are down with 90% of your bankroll and you want to recover all your losses using your 10% bankroll with one shot bet. What do you think  is the most logical game to do this kind of bet that will give you a x10 bet on one try?

This is hypothetical question which means answering a reasoning like you should save the money, stop gambling and etc. is not allowed because this is not real. The intention of the thread is determine what type of gambling game typically being chosen by players as last resort when they are losing badly.

Answer with specific game and explain why.
I don't think it make sense at all to use 10% of your final bankroll to recover your entire bankroll through a x10 single shot bet. It's just too risky, seems a desperate move and there isn't any games with such realistic potential.

You can place a bet on dice, blackjack, sports betting, mines, limbo, dragon tower and so on that there won't be any differences by picking one game or another, because you still have to be heavily lucky to make x10 profit at once. The most likely scenario is that you are going to lose your entire money, anyway.

Your best chance would be to wait for the perfect sports betting match which you have high confidence on the underdog to be the winner. That is tough, though. And you may have to wait for a long time until spotting this match opportunity.
665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Outcomes of insighting gambling for a source of income. on: February 24, 2024, 08:41:04 AM
Just in, he is on medical attention after he slumped as a result of loosing a borrowed fund meant for a business re-startup after the gamble made him squandered his previous business.
At his regained to a normal state of health, he explained that he thought he would be lucky to win at the stake so as he could expand his intended business with a bigger capital.
At a point I don't see any business oriented ideal in this Friend because $1,000 ls good enough for a start of lucrative businesses.
Your friend has been being greedy by attempting to boost his business through gambling income. If he continues with this mindset, he is not only going to be unable to boost business' capital, but he is also going to lose his entire capital, and there won't be any businesses after all. Instead, he is just going to accumulate further debt, what will potentially damage his health even more, and put him in further medical assistance.

I understand 1000$ isn't a lot of money to turn into a decent business, but that is what he has under his disposal for now, therefore he has to work with this sum of money. He has to do the best he can with the current tools he has. Maybe he can start a small business and then grow it slowly as profit is made, although to go for gambling expecting immediate returns shouldn't be an option to take into consideration anymore. As a friend, all you can do is to advise him hoping he will listen to you for his own good.
666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Phase Or Are You Slowing Down Your Gambling Activity When.... on: February 23, 2024, 02:08:05 PM
I see no reason for adopting gambling restrictions due to yearly religious events. I think it's hypocrisy to avoid gambling only in determined days of the year justifying religious reasons. If you think gambling is wrong and it's against your personal values, you shouldn't gamble at all, doesn't matter the day or period of the year. A sin will be still a sin, despite the day of the year.

Personally I don't have any issues with gambling and I don't consider it an offense to my spiritual values, rather I consider addiction to be the issue. So, if you gamble, but aren't an addicted and don't put money above everything else, there isn't any problems and you are free to gamble during holy seasons without harming your conscience.
667  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Coping with expectations on: February 23, 2024, 10:42:40 AM
Why aren't you having a good time at the university? Are you attending to a course you genuinely chose by yourself, or are you coursing an area just to please your family? What are your genuine dreams and expectations on life?

These are questions you have to ask yourself and share your conclusions with your family. I believe human beings seek for self-realization. However, many of us give up or neglect persuing this path to make people around us self-realized, as we were just an extension of them, and not independant individuals with personal aspirations, dreams and goals.

I'm sure that if your self-realization isn't on this course you are attending to, it must be in another field of work, or even outside university. You just have to seek for it. It's normal youngs feel a bit confused about what path to choose once they finish high school. So, no hurry. Give yourself time to think over it and if your family loves you and cares for your welfare they will understand the phase you are passing through.
668  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: February 23, 2024, 01:57:46 AM
I initially invested in this token because I thought it could be a good way to earn more BTC. The premium benefits at the beginning were too good to pass up. In the first several months I was reaching the 100k RP threshold to exchange for BTC frequently. Then they silently started nerfing those premium benefits to a point where it was no longer such a great value for early investors.
What were the benefits back then?
I bought FUN token recently because price was low and too good for the additional benefits. I think such a low price should attract new users because at the moment benefits are really good for the money that you pay to hold FUN and get tier rewards.
Only the frequency you got better rewards from WoF was nerfed. Other premium benefits, such as cashback and extra BTC interest rates remained the same. When the WoF feature was initially introduced it was really profitable to purchase those extra spins packages from rewards tab in order to keep rolling the faucet every hour and then receiving WoF spins on each roll, as it was possible to hit prizes like 500 and 5000 satoshis or RPs often. It indeed worked as an investment, and considering premium program guaranteed a lot of extra spins every day, ROI could be achieved potentially faster.

It ended that WoF doesn't make any significant difference on premium program anymore, as only once in a blue moon we achieve hitting the medium and highest satoshis or RPs prizes.

Despite current cheap FUN price, I think investors are still fearful of investing, because we don't know yet if prices will continue falling down (paired to BTC). On the other hand, if FUN increased again to 14-15 satoshis, it would be helpful to raise optimism among investors once again.
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Utility above Hype on: February 23, 2024, 01:45:42 AM
Since you are promoting a faucet and a wheel of fortune I think it can be an interesting option for micro earners and newbies to start accumulating some crypto from zero, but for investors I don't think it's a good idea, because your project doesn't bring any innovative and unique feature we haven't seen before through another projects, besides the fact promised returns by staking are just too high (30% APY). It indicates your token is going to lose price on long run, therefore it's not a good crypto investment thinking on future returns.

Although your thread's title claim utility is above hype, I don't see how it can work sustainably since there isn't any utility at all, besides offering so high interest rates by staking, which is a clear characteristic of projects which rely on hype to succeed on short run and make fast profit for developers and early investors exclusively, while everyone else who joins the train later end losing money.
670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc and people knowledge on: February 23, 2024, 01:20:11 AM
Off course If some well known person will tell them let's use btc it's good and safe becouse i say so and Im trusted then people Will follow.
Yes, it's true. Most people in our socities behave like sheeps. They can't act or think by themselves, rather they act based on what people they consider trustful tell them to do. And trustful is usually related to authority. So, people act based on what authorities dictate and enforce. If the government told people to use Bitcoin, instead of fiat currencies, they would do this, even not having any clue about how it works.

The same people who say things about cryptocurrency that it's unknown for them they act like they really know all about the other things what they trust,If you ask from average person can they explain the process of creating money debt and Fiat currency...they don't know.
They can't explain how fiat system works, neither are interested in learning about it. They just want things simple and plain, like accomplishing a determined workload somewhere and receiving money on their banking accounts in exchange. No further questions and reflexions are desired. They live the day, without thinking on the long term consequences the fiat system they are inserted on are going to bring. They don't care about inflation, debt and investments at all. That is why financial education must be introduced to citizens since an early age, so once they reach adulthood, they will already have a good notion about it and will develop a natural interest for this matter, since they received appropriate stimuli when they were younger.
671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Anyone +18 Play Gamble? on: February 23, 2024, 01:09:07 AM
What do you mean under "brain still needs to develop"? In size ? I have googled, and it was said that brain is fully developed at the age of 25, but persons full body mass is achieved during period of 25-30. At the same time persons learns new during his entire life. Which makes it hard to determine what is a proper age for gambling. Someone could have heard and read about gambling while being younger than 18. Other has been living in information vacuum for ages and only at 60+ discovered gambling. So who is going to be more prepared ?
Not in size, but physiologically, since it's around 25 years old when our prefrontal cortex becomes totally evolved. This area is responsible for the inner regulation of our emotions and inhibitory control, what directly impacts how we deal with thrilling activities which demand a lot of self control from ourselves, such as gambling. Thinking from this neurobiological point of view, it seems reasonable to assume someone should only start gambling from the moment their prefrontal cortex is totally developed in order to better control their emotions and not fall for a potential addiction.

However, it's also important to notice this process can be different for each individual, and that 25 years old is just an average age range to measure when total maturation is going to be achieved by the individual, although for some it can take longer or sooner to be achieved. Moreover, there are other subjective factors, considering we are biopsychosocial individuals, composed by a biological body, but also by subjectiveness and social influences from the environment where we were raised and have been living.
672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning more casinos or gamblers? on: February 23, 2024, 12:36:56 AM
The thing that caught my attention is that the casino never loses. The money that you win is not the property of the casino, but of another player. The casino is in the process of recycling the money that the players have invested. There is always a winner and a loser, and when you bet with an amount of money, you bet against the money of all the other players. If you win, they will pay you from their money, and if someone else wins, they will pay himBTCBTC from your money.

So the casino remains the biggest beneficiary, right?
That is correct. The maximum the casino does is to allocate an initial big investment from their own pockets to start the platform's bankroll and afford potential short run losses the house may face due to lucky whale gamblers hitting the jackpot. But on long run it's a safe business, since the house edge factor is playing on their favour and will inevitably lead most gamblers to losses, which will be useful to reinforce the house's bankroll and generate profit from that moment on. At some point, the casino won't even be using its initial investment anymore to keep the business running, rather they will use only money from players in loss to pay winners.

The casinos are always in advantage and that is the reason why they are willing to operate on this industry, because it's profitable. If it weren't, the gambling industry wouldn't exist anymore and people would have to stick to PvP gambling among themselves without any middlemen and modern platforms involved on the process. It means it would be much harder to gamble, because there wouldn't be a common place for different gamblers in every corners of the world to come together in order to bet.
673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble with what you can afford to lose can actually make a good investment on: February 22, 2024, 05:40:59 PM
Put this in places that if you keep those money into investment do you know how much you would gain by the end of the month or year without even you making such profits while gambling but yet we kept preaching the word "gamble with what you can afford to lose" why not some people use that same money to go into bitcoin investment or any other investment that could help their lives rather than wasting them into gambling and even secure a better winning themselves.
Someone can't use their money for expenses and investments purposes only. It becomes too stressing at some point to limit or forbid yourself from having access to entertainment, as everyone needs a dosage of this in order to bear the burden of daily life without going completely depleted and exhausted. That is why people destinate a portion of their total income to gambling, while others destinate a portion to going to the movies, travelling, going out and so on...

We can't neglect one sector of your life to reinforce the others, because it will create an imbalance which is very harmful on long run to our emotional. In the beginning of adulthood I think some sacrifices can be made without major negative consequences, but once you advance in age, you start feeling annoyed if you don't have access to entertainment as you wish you could. You feel like you need to spend money with yourself sometimes and stop caring about expenses and investments for a while. And if you don't do this, life starts getting unbearable.
674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A famous influencer lost more than $4000 in just 2 minutes. (2) on: February 22, 2024, 04:17:37 PM
For a social influencer 4000$ must be nothing significant... I've already seen such influencers losing 15,000$-20,000$ is very short time periods on different gambling games, and it didn't mean the end of their lives. If those people are putting so much money at stake while turning their gambling sessions public to everyone to watch, it means their main goal is to make their names and channels famous on the internet, and if they have to lose big money in order to do so, that is the price they are going to pay to achieve their main goal.

After all, they are going to recover the lost money through another means, such as income from traffic they receive on their channels, partnerships with casino platforms and referrals. Sometimes we don't even know if the money these influencers are using to gamble is real, or if it's fake money provided by the casino they are partnered with for advertisement purposes. Social influencer is a very popular career nowadays which you should be really concerned about its legitimacy, because the main working tool used by these guys to work is manipulation of the audience.
675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun and not a way of making money on: February 22, 2024, 03:47:12 PM
No matter how you twist this, gambling for fun will never make sense to me because I do not see any fun gambling with my money. Assuming that there were fun in gambling, the fact that money is involved, emotions will be engaged and this will dissipate the fun. If we treat gambling as fun, we might become careless, not adhering strictly to rules and strategy made to ensure the gambler protect his capital and manage his winnings effectively. Therefore, I see gambler as a business which require that the gambler remained focused and disciplined. In addition, since it involves money, proper money management must be put in place so the gambler do not get carried away by fear, greed or a combination of both.
That is because you are seeing gambling as a money making method, a job or an investment. Therefore, indeed you aren't going to see any fun on this, since you are solely doing this for the income. Along your gambling session there won't be room for fun and relaxation, because you are constantly concerned about making profit from it to justify the time and money "invested" on gambling. And once you spot gambling is not working as you would like it worked, you get upset, frustrated and angry.

However, not every gamblers have the same mindset of yours. Some people just want to relax after a stressing day at the job, or to get rid of the boredom of having an idle life, what is pretty common among people who don't have any issues with money, but have issues finding what to do with their money. In these cases, gambling is going to be fun, anyway, despite the outcomes still being negative and unprofitable on long run.

It's important to keep in mind there are gamblers and gamblers. And those who are seeking for money exclusively are engaged on this activity following a wrong concept.
676  Other / Off-topic / Re: Don’t play gambling with drugs or in half sleep on: February 22, 2024, 11:01:40 AM
I totally agree someone shouldn't gamble while on drugs' effects. Anyone who have already had contact with individuals under such circumstances know very well they act in unsual manners, as they weren't in control of their emotional, cognitive and even moral functions. They lose inhibitory control functions, letting it go loose, and there lies the risk of gambling without knowing when to stop. And by drugs, we also should include alcohol on this category.

Regards gambling in half sleep I think it's also not advisable to gamble, because the lack of sleep can lead to similar mistakes someone would commit under drugs' effects. I think it's pretty simple to identify if someone has conditions to gamble or not: if they could drive in such circumstances, that is ok, but if not, they probably shouldn't gamble as well. And as far as we know, people who used drugs or slept poorly can't drive safely and efficiently.

However, about gambling on early morning I disagree with OP's views, as it's not a determining factor the gambler is going to have a bad day in case of losses. It will just depend his personal routine and on how losses faced in gambling impact his mood. For some gamblers there aren't major aversive thoughts by losing money, since it was money they could afford to lose.
677  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Corruption enlarges when politicians uses the citizens for disruptive tools. on: February 22, 2024, 03:54:06 AM
In my country what I see is that majority portion of population splits in two factions, each one ruled by a key politician, who claim to be rival of each other and to be adepts of different political ideologies. However, when I analyze how each of those politics govern and how they act, there is no difference at all between them. They are two faces of a same coin.

Moreover, their "fanbases", which are composed by the so called citizens, also don't differ from each other, because they are heavily manipulated by those leaders, being totally controversial on their attitudes and statements when confronted by real facts.

I'm not sure if citizens allow themselves to become disruptive tools of wicked politics for being ignorant, illiterate, or if it's just a matter of bad character or if it's due to a biological necessity to be part of a group, which will make them feel safe and protected.
678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recovering gambling addict stories on: February 21, 2024, 11:39:27 PM
Addictions are always devastating. People act insanely due to their impulses to gamble. Some neglect their families emotionally, not giving them attention, not being present, not interacting with them as they should and not creating emotional bonds, which are so important, especially for the development of their children.

Others go beyond, also bringing financial issues for their homes, what will also prejudice the development of this family, since they will live under constant uncertainities of what tomorrow will bring, due to the father being constantly involved in gambling practices without respecting his own financial limits.

Stories of addicted individuals are always heartbreaking and not everyone has structure to watch or listen to them, especially those who have suffered with a gambling addicted relative when they were younger. On the other hand, when such stories come with a happy ending, they can be truly inspiring for every other addicted individuals to find strength to overcome the same challenge.
679  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you feel excited while gambling on: February 21, 2024, 04:13:56 PM
but sometimes it's very painful to place a bet for about 2 to 5 consecutive times no winning and this is what is beginning to me make feels sad.
Indeed, you are valuing more to keep your money than risking it on gambling. It might be a natural trait you have, being more conservative regards your money, or it can be a temporary trait based on external events which may be influencing you to avoid taking risks with your money. If I were to make a guess I would say Bitcoin halving or crypto bull market can be possible events which are influencing you into becoming less prone to take risks in the current moment.

It's possible you are weighting risks more carefully these days and choosing to save most money as possible aiming future gains once Bitcoin and crypto in general hit new price ranges. In times like this, it's an expected feeling among crypto enthusiasts. Maybe you don't act or think like this consciously, rather you do this automatically, inconsciously.
680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Couple won the jackpot but split soon after! on: February 21, 2024, 10:58:41 AM
The man is in a harsh situation to claim part of the prize, because the tickets were paid through the woman's banking account. Moreover they weren't married, rather just a couple of boyfriend and girlfriend, what makes even harder for him to get part of the prize.

And even though it's morally wrong to not split the prize in two, besides the man having deposited tickets' money to the woman's banking account right after, I fear it won't mean too much towards the court, anyway.

That is a very sad story which revealed the wicked nature of the woman. People aren't only extremely individualistic and treating their pairs as disposable, but also being egoistical and dishonered. It's the woman's right to not desire keeping the relationship, but it would be reasonable and fair to give the man 50% of the prize. A decent human being would act like that.
