661  Economy / Gambling / Re: [poorbot.io] | Exchanger for Stake - fast, cheap, simple on: January 01, 2024, 02:24:02 AM
Did someone have used them already? I think that I'll have my time to try it out within the next few days. Is this an instant thing that I'll receive back the tip after sending the tip to you poorbot?
I used it earlier, and it's almost instant. After I sent the tip to poorbot, it took 5-10 seconds before the site recognized my tip, and once it went through, I quickly received my freshly converted coins through poorbot's tip.

It's great that no account is needed and your coins will be tipped back if you fail to exchange them.

I almost thought I missed some crucial points when I saw the red icon beside Salah, thinking he won't play against Newcastle later today.

I still made a few big mistakes, like falling for the Arsenal trap and benching Palmer, which cost me 18 points, but at least I cashed in on Foden.

Now, my next plan is to wait for a window to bring back Haaland to the squad and decide which forward(Watkins/Solanke) to sacrifice once he's good to go.  Wink
663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: January 01, 2024, 12:35:36 AM
The odds on the Grizzlies felt like they could've been more favored despite losing two in a row, or maybe it's a testing ground for them after getting shaken up by good teams.

Even though the Kings snapped their two-game losing streak, I still think they got lucky, as the Hawks were leading by 18 points in the first half and threw it all away in the second half due to the atrocious shooting that only got them 39 points.

Edit: Nevermind, Grizzlies are shitting the bed today.
664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: December 31, 2023, 11:51:10 PM
I used to believe in a few of them because they would give out free picks that luckily turned into winners at the start, but I eventually had to stop after they kept handing out losing picks. I remember paying for a couple of them because of their convincing record, and it only made my bankroll bleed even further.

Now, I would always look for free picks and information I can find from other gamblers because the results barely differ when the paid ones also bet on the same popular leagues and markets.

All those chances for the Detroit to win it with a 2-pt convert because of those penalties against Dallas at the final play of the game.
That two-point play was wild. They had a few chances to opt for the tie when the flags came in and still went with it.  Tongue

I have my money on the Ravens to win since the first seed is on the line, and the Dolphins don't have a convincing road record against good teams.

Commanders are missing a bunch of starting safeties and corners on what's on paper the most lopsided matchup today.
Thanks for this info. I can comfortably add CMC ATTD in one of my multi.  Cheesy
666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Single or accumulation, which one do you prefer when it comes to sport betting on: December 31, 2023, 02:51:38 AM
I mainly focus on single bets because it's the best way to build up your profit overall, but on rare occasions, I still place a couple of accumulators and SGPs if I don't find the main markets appealing.

Accumulators or multi-bets are on the lighter side for me because it's common for one leg to ruin the entire bet, compared to singles, where you focus on a single match. Alternatively, you can make the same sequence of bets through single betting if the matches are a few hours apart.

668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Answer this Gambling Question on Duration of Joy after a win or loss on: December 31, 2023, 12:12:09 AM
I also agree with the others who said it depends on the amount because it could change someone's life for better or worse once you reach a certain amount. Smaller bets are easier to brush aside regardless of the outcome because it's usually an insignificant amount that barely affects your gambling session and bankroll. In my case, I do sports betting, and it lasts until I make the next bet because I mostly make small bets, unlike the others, but it's still an amount that keeps me hooked.

Dallas is in poor form and hopefully the Lions can capitalize on this and come away with a win being 11-4 so far on the season.
Their recent losses came from road matches, so we'll see if that carries on for today's match.

Even though I would like to root for the Lions to win over the Cowboys, I can't go against the team with the perfect home record. I'm only betting on the Cowboys to win and cover the first-half handicap, as they're one of the teams that tend to score a few TDs or more before halftime.

Edit: Cowboys held in the first half to cash my bet and during that last-minute play from the Lions.  Cheesy

^^
I don't think in this match either team scored and it resulted in a goal-less draw correct?
Only watched a highlight reel and it was 0-0 by the 86 minute then it cut off.
Napoli was given almost every opportunity to score and couldn't get past Monza's goalkeeper. Tongue

I'm avoiding today's specials since I noticed that it's a prop bet. Instead, i'll go for a BTTS bet between Man United vs. Nottingham Forest since Man United rarely keeps a clean sheet and Nottingham Forest is more than capable of scoring at least one goal at home.

671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not everyone deserves to hear of your winning in gambling. on: December 30, 2023, 04:25:36 AM
I get OP's point, but exposing someone to these kinds of stories is inevitable when gambling is accessible to most people due to online gambling and others would even use it as a way to promote their casinos. Some gamblers can't help but share their gambling experiences because they don't have someone they can share these stories with. I appreciate reading the winning stories of gamblers because it can be interesting to know the twists and turns they've made before winning. Instead of encouraging cautiousness, the victims should put in more effort when they have more control over the issues that affect them.

The winner's already decided in our matchup and congrats to @bullrun2020bro on his second win. The ninth question ended in his favor after Leeds lost 1-0 against WBA, and with all the upsets in the past few days, I couldn't get any points in the second half.

Maybe the upcoming cup round could help me shift my luck again.  Wink
673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Survey: Betting strategy: (WIN)-(WIN+DRAW)-(DRAW ONLY) on: December 30, 2023, 12:22:36 AM
If the odds for the double chance (win+draw) are 1.50 or better, i'll go for it over the win or draw only. I've experienced unexpected results that led me to take safer bets, and I prefer to have a winning bet even if the payout isn't as high.

If you do go for the win+draw strategy, make sure to browse other similar markets because other bookies don't set the same juice on every market, so you could find the odds on the win+draw market slightly worse or better than the asian handicap +0.5, which is the same as win+draw.
674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 29, 2023, 11:52:06 PM
Chicago Bulls - Indiana Pacers - Indiana Pacers ML - Win
16-point lead, I am an idiot for just taking the ML, I should've taken some spreads.
The Pacers almost choked yesterday against the Bulls after losing their 20-point lead at one point in the fourth quarter, but at least they woke up once the Bulls stole the lead.  Tongue

I'm also fading the Magic and riding the Knicks to win @1.95 because they can put up points consistently (110+) against most of the teams they face.

It'll still depend on who has the better shooting, but i'll take the side that can deliver most of the time.

675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: December 29, 2023, 03:31:32 PM
I wasn't expecting Napoli to have these odds at home, and I guess it's reasonable when two of their top-scoring player won't play due to suspension.

Even with a few missing players I still think Napoli should have no problem scoring a few goals, as their opponent isn't threatening enough when looking at their road results, and the two wins they earned came from teams on the lower side of the standings.

676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many hours is the best time for a gambler to last while gambling? on: December 29, 2023, 02:39:10 AM
In my opinion,  the more time one decides to spend on gambling, the more money they lose. For example, if I spend like one hour gambling and another gambler spends like six hours gambling, which one of us do you think will spend more money?

So the question again is: how many hours do you gamblers think are more appropriate to spend while gambling?
The sweet spot is probably around an hour or less because casino games are fast, bets are processed within seconds, and depending on how your luck rolls, you could be quickly losing your bankroll than you expect.

If it's for sports betting, it'd be between one to three hours because there are other ways to approach it, like pre-live and live betting. The latter consumes more time because you have to monitor the entire match, which could last for an hour or more, and wait for the right opportunity to catch the best odds, but there's a chance that it doesn't appear at all.
677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun, is it a lie that we tell ourselves? on: December 29, 2023, 01:35:24 AM
Perhaps deep down in our conscience, somewhere that we don't like to listen to, it still tells us the truth that the reason why we're going to gamble is to hopefully win money, not really to have fun.
The real fun in gambling starts once you look at it in another way and focus less on the goal of winning money when it's mostly out of your control.

I know that it's said that you should gamble the amount that you can afford to loose, but will you call it a true fun when you know that there's a higher probability of losing your bet?
It's true if you only limit yourself to casino games because of the house edge, but not all forms of gambling have a house edge that lowers the win probability.
678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 29, 2023, 12:34:46 AM
Chicago Bulls - Indiana Pacers - Indiana Pacers ML They may have won against the Atlanta Hawks but I still don't trust the Bulls.
I also have the Pacers, but I added the extra points in case we have a close match because their shooting could regress after having a solid shooting performance against the Rockets the other day.

Golden State Warriors - Miami Heat - Golden State Warriors (-1.5) It's been so long since I last bet for the Warriors. Taking my chances today.
That's a solid bet now that the handicap moved by a few points and it should be a comfortable win for the Warriors with most of the Heat's starting players potentially out.
679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: December 29, 2023, 12:02:56 AM
The best play for today's TNF would be on the Browns because of their playoff situation, but something feels off when most bettors are expecting the Browns to win by 7 or more.

The under would've been a solid pick against these two good defensive teams, but the over has been hitting more than usual and will probably continue until the final week.

That said, i've come up with this bet builder to bet on the INT prop and added an alternative over to get the plus odds.

@ralle14
Congrats on the win with the Ravens making it look as if the match was no sweat against the 49ers.
Thanks and I wish we get to have more of these sweat-free wins.  Cheesy

Edit: Nice, the betbuilder hits in the second quarter as Flacco got his INT and the total is already at 40+ points.
680  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [In Memoriam] Guess BTC price contest on: December 27, 2023, 04:01:45 AM
$43,650.15

I assume the price will hover around the $43k level as more people continue to increase their Bitcoin savings due to the halving being only a few months away.
