661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we really understand what bitcoin is capable of? on: September 16, 2018, 10:54:47 AM
it will eventually happen for everyone or they will simply give up and leave. as we have been seeing in the past. people usually come in bitcoin for two reasons, either they want to make profit and don't care about what bitcoin is or they are interested in bitcoin as a decentralized currency in which case they will stick around and learn more about it to understand the true potential of it.
this doesn't mean people can't switch camps or can't be in more than one group though.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the factors for the return? on: September 15, 2018, 12:17:27 PM
it is possible to see a short term bitcoin price rise because of the ETF speculation and if some sort of hype starts building up. in which case if the rise were fast you can expect more altcoin dumps as traders sell their altcoins to buy bitcoin.
then after the ETF decision is made we may see a correction and possibly a drop down to $6k range in which case you can again expect another big altcoin dump guaranteed.
663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: price BTC and degree of mining difficulty? on: September 15, 2018, 12:08:52 PM
no bitcoin price has nothing to do with mining difficulty. there is a reverse relationship between the two but it only works one way. this means when price rises more miners start mining so hashrate rises and to balance it out the difficulty also increases. and the reverse happens when price drops. but this relationship doesn't work in other direction.
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs now regulated, expect better ICOs, less Scams on: September 15, 2018, 11:48:43 AM
regulations of ICOs does NOT mean:
- better ICOs
- no scams
- no pump and dump

regulations of ICOs only means
- more restrictions for both ICO makers and ICO investors
- less privacy since the government is now watching
- taxes, possibly even high unreasonable taxes since the government may see the big pumps in some of the tokens and want a bigger profit.
- even different types of scam!

and a lot of other issues.
665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop allowing manipulators to switch you off and on on: September 15, 2018, 11:41:08 AM
You are kinda wrong about this. The newbies don't panic sell their coins, because some "influential" guy told them to do so.They panic sell because the prices are already going down. The newbies act like a crowd driven by emotions like fear and they have no market strategy.

i know what you mean but you said it wrong.
newbies are newbies because they panic sell when the prices have already gone down. in other words the main characteristic of a newbie panic sell is selling when it is too late. otherwise selling because price is going down is not wrong. in fact that is what every experienced trader does, you see the drop and sell before it is too late.
666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how many transactions to include in a block? on: September 15, 2018, 11:31:39 AM
another important factor that is not mentioned here is the fact that if they start producing empty blocks they will end up damaging bitcoin more than they can earn from it, and in the long run if the backlog starts to grow the value of bitcoin will fall and they will also lose money.
and as a miner when you invest in equipment you want to have your investment continue giving returns to you as long as possible, you don't want to kill your own profit.
667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ETHEREUM? on: September 15, 2018, 09:47:29 AM
at this point ethereum is at a stage where everyone is dumping it. before only the day traders where pump and dumping but more dump so the price went down slower but now everyone is losing their faith after seeing the true value of it and doing a panic sell. with ICOs also exiting it created a big sell pressure that even the fake buy walls couldn't keep up so the price crashed hard.
668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This year proved it There is no Crypto Expert! on: September 15, 2018, 09:40:26 AM
Do you think like this? There is no real crypto expert. Every crypto expert's predictions were wrong for every month this month!

has it ever occurred to you that maybe you were wrong into thinking those people who you were listening to weren't even experts?

Quote
The crypto market doesn't actually follow any market trend or line. No one can understand or predict what's going on.
yes it does follow clear trends, specially when you look at the bigger picture. the short term may be unpredictable and unexpected things happen in the market but overall the market is clearly following the same trends for years now.

I have been following some crypto experts,
you are WRONG, those who you were following weren't "experts" they were either idiots who claimed to be experts OR you were following some malicious people trying to pump and dump by fooling you into buying something.
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICO prediction 2019 on: September 09, 2018, 09:36:32 AM
scams never die. they may become less in some particular method (that is ICO in this case) but they will still continue to exist. some of them would be more elaborate and can pull off a more successful scam and pump the biggest but the number of them and the size of their pump will be decreasing until they come up with a new method of scamming people out of their money.
670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is Going to $50 based on what I Observed! on: September 09, 2018, 09:27:33 AM
a while ago i might have said down to $100 is the most possible scenario and then possibly a smaller drop after that but based on things that i have been seeing in the market and the way bag holders are still dumping their bags in panic i would say $50 and lower is now the stronger possibility.

there is an interesting article here by the way which you can also read:

671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Dropping the Ethereum price? on: September 09, 2018, 09:24:25 AM
it is simply because it is called pump and dump and not pump and pump. and if you expect anything other than this duality in the altcion market you will be surprised and continue losing money.
672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to 15000 ? Speculation on: September 08, 2018, 12:17:37 PM
speculations in this board are becoming more and more ridiculous every day. i mean i get it that you are bag holding ethereum and have lost something between 70% to 85% of your investment already but that is your fault. making a silly topic here will not bring your money back.

yes there will eventually be pumps but $15k price for a coin with unlimited supply? are you kidding me? Cheesy
673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH pottential 10X or more? on: September 08, 2018, 11:58:22 AM
10x ethereum means a price more than $2000 that simply is impossible for this token to happen purely based on its unlimited supply! it is like expecting  grains of sand to be worth $2000 each. not to mention that these days other ICO platforms are gaining more popularity and are growing to replace ethereum.
even a big pump can not get the price that high.
674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty for NEO, ETH, BTC or Fiat on: September 08, 2018, 11:54:32 AM
when they run a bounty they are trying to reduce their costs as much as possible. that means they stick to lower value coins such as ethereum and many of them are getting wiser now and they stick to their own token. because they already have the token built up and premined so they can pay you with something worthless and force you to sell it and take real money out.
675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying things with Bitcoin and transaction charges on crediting sellers wallet on: September 08, 2018, 11:37:33 AM
if you feel like it is too expensive to use bitcoin then don't use bitcoin. stick to fiat purchases if you think they are cheaper. but if you want the reality, the transaction fees normally are 1 cent and the fiat transaction fees are so much bigger you will end up paying more than $3 at times.
676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Bitcoin, US Dollar Will Become Worthless: Warns Kim Dotcom on: September 08, 2018, 11:31:51 AM
some people need to seriously stop telling random people to invest in bitcoin. that is really not a good idea specially when they are promising them riches like this. it will end bad for those people who fall for it and also for bitcoin. we end up with a lot of weak hand panic sellers.
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH is falling. This numbers will blow your mind. on: September 07, 2018, 12:26:55 PM
there has never been that much of a relationship between bitcoin and altcoins. there are certain rules that happen all the time like for example when bitcoin drops all the altcoins drop and mostly bigger than bitcoin. there is never an exception about this unless some small altcoin that is getting pumped.
during bitcoin rises what usually happens is that altcoins get dumped again. but the USD value of altcoins confuses people in this particular case. for example bitcoin goes up 10% but altcoins drop. sometimes they don't  drop -10% but a small percentage so their USD value because of bitcoin rise doesn't show negative which makes some people believe they have risen where in fact they had a big dump.
678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: its time to buy ETH? on: September 07, 2018, 12:12:08 PM
all i can tell you is that you shouldn't be greedy.

there still is a high chance that ETH is going to continue to go down as the whales dump and get out of it. and many believe that it is still a bubble which will continue to burst. so buying now will mean suicide.

besides when it comes to altcoins you should never buy them when they are low! you should always buy them when they are pumping. buying low means if you are lucky for months price doesn't move and if you are not the price dumps. but buying during pumps means making profit is guaranteed and you don't waste your money.
679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what prevents projects from keeping token value? on: September 07, 2018, 11:59:26 AM
it is really strange to read OP keep repeating the word "product"! and i believe that is the source of his confusion about the token value dump. the fact is, there is no product. all there is, is a token that is not used for anything else but speculation or more accurately for pump and dump.

with that said now the answer is pretty simple! the reason why they can't keep the value up is because their product being the token has no value! it has a high price which is much higher than its value (0) so it drops down towards that.
680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is the name of the airdrop token that is not a scam, please let me know on: September 07, 2018, 11:49:21 AM
these tokens that you have in mind are either scams or terrible choices. in both cases you should stay as far away from them as you can. and only get involved if you want a very high risk investment which is more like a gamble than an investment and only trade them as a day trader abusing the pump and dumps. otherwise you are doomed to lose money.

people giving you the name of some shitcoin is not going to help you at all.
