I recommend these cards: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=96180.msg1259529#msg1259529

3. Are any of you reputable users of these cards in Europe willing to reload for someone in exchange for bitcoins?   I live in the U.S. so to avoid the hassle I'd be willing to look into the option of someone loading for me for a small (bit coin) fee in addition to the bitcoins for the amount to reload.
Why dont you load it with mtgox cashout?
663  Other / Off-topic / Re: Singular "they" on: October 04, 2012, 08:54:26 AM
And now here is my quoting something written by shakespeare ... truly asinine indeed. I mostly just have trouble understanding why people prefer it in the its original grammatical "ye old" style:

Quote from: "William Shakespeare, A Comedy of Errors, Act IV, Scene 3

THIS .. sounds truly asinine, isn't it (isn't they)?

(They shall apologize and note that I m a German fellow)

Also, wanted to point out that "he / his / him" aren't really a politically correct pronoun anymore. It is 2012 for heaven's sake. Would "singular they / theirs / them" be too much to ask for?
Yes it would! Singular "they, theirs" sounds asinine. People with cerebral constipation introduced it and the pinheads adopted it.

Who should be the beneficiary of your donation?

669  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Foundation Membership on: September 28, 2012, 11:51:42 AM
you compare us wealth to foundation members?

No! Take a closer look.
670  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Foundation Membership on: September 28, 2012, 11:38:52 AM
US wealth distribution:
10% of US citizens own 70.9% of all US assets
  • 1 Top 1% own 38.1%
  • 2 Top 96-99% own 21.3%
  • 3 Top 90-95% own 11.5%
-
  • Bottom 40% of population has 0.2% of all wealth.

Compared to:
The Bitcoin Foundation Membership dues
  • 1 Platinum: 10,000 BTC (Top 1%?)
  • 2 Gold: 2,500 BTC
  • 3 Silver: 500 BTC
  • No denotation: 2.5 BTC (Bottom?)

- Feel free to make up your own mind.

... seems to be a bit high.
... a bit ??

My (more realistic) proposal:
  • Silver Membership: 100 BTC
  • Gold Membership: 500 BTC
  • Platinum Membership: 1500 BTC
673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Foundation on: September 27, 2012, 11:12:44 AM
I like the idea - much needed
but
I think even silver membership is out of reach for many Bitcoin businesses that would like to be involved - I know it is for me.

I think the foundation should definitely reconsider their "high-level" annuel dues.

Is this project going in the direction of a bitcoin centralization?

678  Economy / Goods / Re: yet another anonymous reloadable visa debitcard on: September 20, 2012, 04:25:58 PM
No, not onions but an exquisite reloadable visa debitcard  Roll Eyes

I got my testcard today and look forward to load it and cash out

  • Edit:
Question: Do you register/activate the cards before shipping?
If yes: How you do that? Do you have to give your real name?
If no: Do I have to register it. How?
Dauer: 2 Minuten. Cheesy
Nachteil: Gebühr.
680  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2012-09-12 forbes.com - Key Disclosure Laws Can Be Used To Confiscate Bitcoin As on: September 13, 2012, 02:49:25 PM
If you run the risk of being caught by LE, you should have a separate "alibi" wallet with a few transactions in the history and a 69 BTC balance -> plausible deniability.
