661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin was made illegal by your government would you still use it? on: November 29, 2016, 06:37:00 AM

No, I wouldn't. At least not openly or not as I frequent as I use it now.
I'm not gonna risk being jailed just so I could use Bitcoin. Maybe occasional checks on investments.

If however, I was able to make a LOT of money with bitcoin, then I'd use that and certainly move overseas where my bitcoins would be welcome.  Grin Grin

If it will be banned by the government, then we have no other choice but to keep it a secret or if we can't keep it as secret, then time to move to other place where it is openly used. If it is being banned by majority of the country, the price would slowly decrease, not everyone is ready to get jailed because of bitcoin. Everyone I think is just being practical.

That's a good idea that you will move to other place where bitcoin is legal. But I guess you can just use bitcoin whenever you want even the government prohibits it. Because there are some other ways when you can keep it confidential and just don't let others know that you are in bitcoin or else you will hold the bars of the jail.
If you really devote your life with bitcoin you will have to make that decision to continue your journey in the bitcoin world. Some countries currently are making bitcoin illegal but I believe it will not last the moment they realize that there more benefits of suing bitcoin that it's weaknesses.
662  Economy / Economics / Re: Sell Everything? on: November 29, 2016, 06:23:31 AM
Selling everything is not a good strategy because the future of bitcoin is still blurry it could go up to 1000$ or it could go down really low the best thing to do is hold half of it and sell the other half so in both cases you still haven't lost
if you look at the indian exchanges it has already crossed the $1000 mark and i am not sure whether the world market figures will be the same and the main reason for the increase in Indian market is because the government demonatized the bigger currencies and trying to curb the black market and i am sure thats the reason for the price surge in the indian exchanges.
Somehow, that reality help to increase adoption of bitcoin. Now, since the price is not that big but if we continue to hold our bitcoins we might see that early next year, for me, I am already contented with the current price as long as it does not drop and will end this year with a big bang.
663  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: November 29, 2016, 05:52:57 AM
Paper money still exist in the future even dihital currency would ve more popular because not all people can have this decentralized currency that is ehy paper money is much usable to them for daily needs.

It depends. If we can promote bitcoin and spread it worldwide then there isn't really much of a use for paper currency, especially when they are issued by a government and costing them so much to issue.

Governments could even move onto cryptocurrencies themselves, to save the printing fees.
We do not need to promote Bitcoin at all. Bitcoin itself can easily spread all over the world because of its advantages and cyber-used. Bitcoin provides a lot of benefits which people can not deny. In spite of not being popular right now, I believe that Bitcoin will be accepted by most of the people in the near future
I don't think that Government will choose Bitcoin to be either priority currency or secondary currency because people do not have to pay fee to use Bitcoin and it will make the government slowly die.
I know bitcoin is very popular now but that would not be possible without our support. Let's take it this way for everyone to understand.

Businesses promote bitcoin by accepting bitcoin as a payment method and we members of the forum online promote their business thru a signature campaign or any sort of activities. That's just one of the basic example.
664  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin worth to you or not... on: November 29, 2016, 05:45:46 AM
My discovery of bitcoin has been one of the best things that has happened in the last year or so, in terms of financials and transactions. I can now make purchases (with rebates at that) online and I am able to make an investment that's giving me higher returns than my usual offline investments.
good for you mate i also taking this advantage to easy paying my monthly bills for cellphone, electric and cables so instead of falling in line inside the bills remittance i just a click away paying it using our local bitcoin exchange. really cool..

That's why bitcoin is really worth to all of us because we are able to use it for everything that we wanted to do whether it is for investments or simply using it as currency. This is also a good help for me, because I can try and improve my trading skills with the use of alt coins because I am an aspiring stock market holder and trader.
the proper use of bitcoin is still not available everywhere, specially in backward areas about which no one know any thing about bitcoin, i think it is our responsibility to introduce bitcoin in our local area, in a proper way so that it can provide us so me good facilities.
That responsibility won't be easy, we cannot just promote in our local areas that they have to use bitcoin unless we have our own business otherwise they'll see it as scam. The possible way we can promote bitcoin is only online as it's online currency and it's easy for them to relate if they are people who loves to transact online.
665  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending Bitcoins on: November 29, 2016, 05:37:20 AM
I had a situation that forced me to sell my bitcoin recently, but im expecting to collect more bitcoin over the years, and be able to save them instead have to exchange them. The fact i do wanna to save is that since i joined bitcoin im able to see it getting more and more value over time, soo i believe i may get the gold eggs with bitcoin.
Collecting Bitcoin is the best way to earn profit from it. As you can see, Bitcoin price always increases and there is no sign that Bitcoin will die or the Bitcoin price will fall. If you can maintain to earn a decent amount of Bitcoin, you can easily be rich in the future. At present, I try to convert my Fiat to Bitcoin as much as possible.
Well, at that point you have to look for a decent job that pays well, you said you are collecting bitcoin so no risk involved on that.
666  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you buy Bitcoins? on: November 29, 2016, 05:24:15 AM
Bitcoin is a solid investment, and if I put aside $20 or $50 then I have to be more mindful of my spending.
It's good to stay responsible and save for your future, rather than only thinking about what you want right now.
Teaching young people to save for their future through small investments in Bitcoin etc is a good learning tool.
No question about that, but make you what you put as you investment will be the amount you can afford to lose. The trend is great as we can see the price of bitcoin is increasing but we need to reserve some doubts so we cannot make a foolish decision to put everything in bitcoin as our investment.
667  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: November 29, 2016, 05:15:18 AM
For me it is better to save money than to invest , In investing you can lose your money there in any chance and you don't have a control to it if you just deposited your money and the withdrawal it self is not automatic the website is probably scam saving money or holding them is really good too. Save your profit and hold them till you need them.
Save money is never a good idea to have a constant profit. Inflation can easily kill you. If you save $1000 dollar this year which can help you to buy a Macbook pro, I can ensure that in 10 years later, you can never buy a Macbook pro buy $1000 anymore. Instead of saving money in Fiat, why don't you try to exchange them to Bitcoin ? Bitcoin always goes up no matter what.

I bet to differ, bitcoins doesn't always go up even though it seems like that these days and the real deal is when you need your money or when you're going to withdraw it, what if Bitcoins is at its all time low at the time you might be needing your investment money for something urgent? I'd say the safest form of investment is to buy down some treasure bills and in that 10 year span if you can't even buy a MacBook Pro at $1000, at least you must have had accrued interest on your money from the T-Bills to supplement it.
Therefore it's not advisable to rely in one source of income only, and when you're investing do diversify your investment to minimize the risk. You must ensure you are knowledgeable enough to manage your investment so when tough times come you can directly make a decision.

In shorty, strategic planning is important.
668  Economy / Economics / Re: Sell Everything? on: November 29, 2016, 05:07:04 AM
Dont sell.everything always save some of it. Maybe it will give you higher returns aomeday. Justt like me.wait until the right times comes for me to rise

Obviously, if someone holds the coins in order to get more profits out of them then they are not supposed to be in hurry to sell them all when they see a little rise in the price, but they should only sell a portion of it and keep a part still as the price might grow higher in coming time.
LOL what's the actual point of keeping the part of the bitcoin when the price just reached the highest? expecting for a lower price?. just sell them all then you will get pretty decent amount of money and then buy when price just falling and then you will get even higher profit than just keeping the part of your bitcoin or burying them
You are right If you sell everything to buy bitcoin, it is absurd. bitcoin is not everything there is another way for us to get success, you must get a job in the real world and have income for this. If you gambling everything to bitcoin,I think you false.

None used to make such decisions, because to buy bitcoin every have their own plans. Most of them used to spend a small part of their earning from day job into bitcoin. As quoted real world job is a must but when one is technically good enough he can make more than that from bitcoin.
There is a huge disparity between the ability to make the same amount of dollar value from Bitcoin as you could a real job. For anyone who doesn't own a business or is 100% dedicated to earning Bitcoin, a real job is the best route to take. If they can get a job, unless the jobs around them pay far less than what they would earn with Bitcoin, there is no point dedicating everything to something that pays them less.

I think if you have a good business and you provide good value, you can make more money than just a typical job. You right, that your best bet is to have a real job that gives you a steady income, so far I don't get much money in bitcoin into my wallet in compare of an income from a real world job.
If you are not a bitcoin expert or economic expert I think the real job with steady income is better than YOLO all your money in bitcoin
yeah you can make bitcoin as side job too
How would you know that you are a bitcoin expert? Honestly, we'll only know when we try doing investment or trade with bitcoin but even if we are making good results it's still not advisable to focus on it alone, we have our job and it should be the main source of our income.
669  Economy / Economics / Re: Can you really make money on Forex? on: November 29, 2016, 04:54:46 AM
Anyone tried or currently trading forex is it possible to make money on it?

I haven't personally tried trading in Forex just yet but I am learning.
My sister used to trade there and was able to make about $500 - $1000 in 2 - 5 days.
Which is why I am also thinking to try it out, but the thing is, one would need capital so I'm still deciding whether to invest in casino sites or trade forex.  Undecided Undecided
Anyhow, I'm learning but if I don't take to it, I'd probably go with casino bankrolls instead.
Me either, I heard from a friend of mine that forex trading requires a bigger capital for start up, I do not pursue on it since there's more coins we can trade here in the crypto word especially bitcoins. Now, I do trade with altcoins as well and so far so good, small profit but seems to be growing this time.
670  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I grow my btc? on: November 29, 2016, 04:51:46 AM
This has really blown up! Thanks for all the responses guys! I've tried to keep up, but it's been pretty hard with this many people replying. To those interested, I ended up continuing to sell digital goods, making my own methods and selling them across forums. I didn't have much money (I got scammed for a large amount), So I've started rebuilding. I'll be looking to this thread again, now that I have some seed money.
It's good to be positive despite of many trials in the past like being scammed. You'll learn many things in this thread as we are having a healthy discussion here.

If I may ask, what kind of digital goods are you selling?
671  Economy / Economics / Re: How good are you at managing your money on: November 29, 2016, 03:31:33 AM
I would say am not bad with financial management as I need to be prudent for future uncertainties and only spend on necessities that I need...
Rather than strain your brain, you need to make sure that there is no debt, because they put pressure on us psychologically, because we have to work on the debt instead of enjoying life.
The thing is we are in charge of our future and we can decide on what to do to be successful  with managing our money, the mere fact that some people are living in debt, that could be because they are living a life not base on the income they receive.

As the famous Robert Kiyosaki said, "live below your means".
672  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: November 29, 2016, 03:24:41 AM
Maybe not to get rich, but sure as hell to earn a decent amount of money with bitcoins.

How much money did you earn with bitcoins? Or did you lose some?

earning a decent amount of money. That is certainly possible. With hard work and good money management of course. I haven't really been that active with the earning part this past year, only started to do so lately, and have only managed to earn about 1 - 2 BTC in a 3 - 4 month period.

I have properly saved some of that and am now looking for good investments, so hopefully, with a good opportunity and sufficient research, I will be able to make more in the future. The getting rich part will naturally come.  Grin Grin

Great plan dude, now that I have proven that savings is the first part to do for any plan to invest, I'll be more aggressive with saving as well. Timing is everything as they say, time will come you will see a great opportunity to invest, just keep hold your money and don't be too aggressive without careful planning.
673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling problem on: November 29, 2016, 03:05:40 AM
Today I received from one of the giveaway, when yesterday I promise that when I get giveway I would not use it to gamble but today I have the desire to gamble. and in the end I lost my bitcoin. is there any good suggestions for me ?. I always break my word alone

If you are breaking your word alone, its better to spend your bitcoins from some other profitable ways like trading or else you will do it again.

I guess you need to set some stronger promise to yourself with proper application because you have problem with application of your promise.

Maybe aim higher that you need to save a lot of bitcoins in able to get some decent profit as the price is also increasing.
For sure you understand that trading is more profitable compared to gambling for the reason that gambling is just for fun while trading is a serious venture of making money. Try to analyze your chances and evaluate yourselves, it's good to venture in money making activity that you can use your skills than your luck.
674  Other / Off-topic / Re: How kids can "earn" Bitcoin ? on: November 29, 2016, 02:58:32 AM
I think kids can earn bitcoin through the means of reading ad, short link video and watching videos online.
No I don't think I will advice to do this
it will be bad because sometimes ad and video contain some random content that not good for a kid it can be pornographic or something

That's good to consider about letting kids watch ads for small satoshi's so for me, I can just suggest that they can use faucets and claim as many as they can. That will be fun for them but not for us, there are also some mobile applications that gives some rewards upon playing them. Just don't teach your kids to gamble or you'll be done.
They'll be fine with faucets as it's easy to understand it, kids will be kids and they do not want to have a complicated information. There mind are still young but bitcoins is for matured people. Let us give them a chance to do simple task like that.
675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities on: November 29, 2016, 02:51:31 AM
Bitcoin use for illegal activities is have great opportunities. Without id or other verifications all peoples can send and receive bitcoin. Illegal activites like money laundring, purchase drugs, weapon, until human trafficking and many more.
It would only benefit them, however it may pose threats to the future of bitcoin. One of the reason bitcoin is ban in some countries due to the risk of the kind of transaction. Somehow, they do help to increase the market circulation but this kind of illegal activities should not be condone.
676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: November 28, 2016, 01:43:13 PM
Why there are so many threads about how gambling is bad etc, if you think it's not good for you just stop it !

Because that is the fact on how gambling works and in reality if there are people that have a positive side on gambling there are so many gamblers that are having a hard time in getting a profit in gambling and they are all asking how does other players are doing it so in my opinion there would be a lot of negative comments and threads that you may see here than positive ones!
a lot of people share their experience gambling for years , and the result mostly ended up have negative profit which it is means convinced enough for everyone to believe gambling always lost in the long run with those people stories.

also never be an easy task to stop gambling , once you get in.

Yup! that is why I have said many people are having a hard time in getting profit in gambling, even if there are some that are profiting in it, I think a large number of people are losing much than winning and most of them are playing the long run in gambling, well in my opinion provided with some knowledge stay away from other methods and just stay with sports betting instead.
Thanks for promoting my favorite gambling game, however a type of game does not guarantee you from not losing your money. In my overall calculation on gambling, we are playing against the odds here, our chances are very slim, no wonder only few number of gamblers are successful.

That's good for you mate.. I also believe that bitcoin gives me a lot of benefits when it comes to my investment so that's why I'm working hard from it as well to get more savings for myself in the long run.
Count me in bro, we are on the same journey I guess. I am taking advantage as well on the situation that bitcoin is not that popular, what I am earning here in different money generating activities, I make it a point that I will allocate something for my future savings/investment because I believe bitcoin has more value in the future.
678  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: November 28, 2016, 01:21:36 PM
Gold is rare, BUT bitcoin is more rarer than gold.

How do you reach that conclusion? I don't consider Bitcoin as "rare". If you have a reliable supply of electricity and a good mining rig, then you can mine Bitcoins from your home as well. But for mining gold, you need to travel to far away places.
Rare for people who does not know bitcoin and they are the majority in the population but for us it's not since we are facing it everyday, this is our life as we are living in the crypto world, so it's not rare.
679  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: November 28, 2016, 01:16:53 PM
Trading is long run job and long term investment. You just can't get anything over night. It takes time and patience and you will not always win, be prepared also to lose. Many people give up on this way because they find it to hard. No one has said that trading is for everyone.
Not all trader can understand thats trading is long term investment, many of they is want to make they trading only in one day and get the profit in one day too, i agree with you trading is long term investment but not in all altcoin if you trading altcoin, its can take long term investment if you trading in stable altcoin

This is something even me I am still battling with. Coming into trading fresh, i just find it difficult to grasp, you get an hunch about a currency then you put money into it hoping to get reasonable return, but alas its just taking the downturn axis and you begin to wonder, how manage? and even get discourage about trying it on another currency because you don't know what the outcome will be.
That's part of the journey in trading and in your journey you have to face a lot of challenges along the way. Actually, if you will just believe in yourself you can be successful in trading, think that if others can do it then why can't you.

It's unpredictable but that the reality as that is it's nature and your job.
680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: November 28, 2016, 01:12:43 PM
I always feels investments are better than casino gambling. Because in gambling we get enticed by luck and can easily end up losing everything. However if you know where to invest your money you can get fairly good profits. That includes trading, mining and casino bankroll.
For the majority of people, investment are better because of most of the gamblers does not have a good result when the purpose is making money. Hence, to avoid those loses, we have to shift our interest on things that we have a good chance to be successful and that is investment.

Whatever you plan is should be base on your knowledge and interest, as when it's your passion you can survive the challenges along the way.

True just like what they say it should always be on what your heart desires so that you will not regret whatever happens because you put your heart on it and you tried what you think is right. I gamble at times I feel lucky and still do small investmest. Just enjoy what bitcoin can offer.
Follow your heart and your head, it should go hand in hand. Your heart if followed will make you happy but your brain will not make you dumb on your decision if carefully studied.
