661  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you regret also for ever knowing about gambling? on: December 09, 2023, 09:10:12 AM
I think that friend of yours feeling is valid. That's what he think so we can't invalidate what he feels and how he ended up with that. But, instead of blaming gambling, he has to blame himself for choosing and getting into it.

Because we're all free to make our decisions and these decisions have different results so, if it's a good result then I doubt that he'll blame it.

Anyway, for me, there are other important matters to blame than gambling. I just don't blame thing when I've done it willingly.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many of These price tragets are realistically possible in 2025 ? on: December 08, 2023, 11:52:41 PM
Got the first three so I'll give myself a positive note and will say that they're all possible to happen in 2025. But with the speculations that I am reading with all factors that can affect the market.

It's likely that we may see a big change on the market this time pertaining to the 4-year cycle because it might change. We may see the changes as early as 2024 for the bull run and the peak might be on that year.

While 2025 could just be the drops left from the bull run that might come next year. Well, as said, all of those are speculations and no one knows the actual behavior of the market so giving time to the market could just give you inaccuracy.
663  Economy / Economics / Re: Do brands that take sides on divisive issues lose market share? on: December 08, 2023, 10:46:47 PM
That happens, when these companies have issues, the stock/share holders are acting quickly because they know that the market sentiment changes overtime quickly.

When the company itself does something wrong or one of their endorsers do, it's a domino impact and the sentiment of the entire market is being seen to react whether the incident is good or not.

If you're an investor, actually it's a good indicator and you get to have the idea how it goes. And that is why it's important to check every issue that happens globally.

Those market insights are very good indicators on what may possibly happen to the stock market.
So if you are into stocks, keeping your eyes open to this kind of news would be very helpful in your portfolio.
This is why most brands are careful in taking sides or expressing their support to any political or social drama.
It can easily have an impact on their market performance and so losses in just a snap.
Yes, it's very helpful when you check them at most times. And I think most investors and traders does this so if there are hot topics and news, the market always reacts because of the same sentiment coming from retail and institutional investors.

They're all good at this and that's why riding what's been on the news always have the impact to market prices. We're not new to this anymore as sometimes there were moments that when there were good and bad news for Bitcoin.

We see the market changes so quick and that's why these are important market sentiments to consider.
664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos after the shutdowns of mixers on: December 08, 2023, 09:38:44 PM
IMO you can't stop mixers, just like you can't stop deep web markets. Both will continue to exist and governments are just starting to look stupid when they try to fight something for a decade and it's still there doing fine, like torrents.
That's true.

While it is not illegal to use mixers, if the ones that using it have that dirty money. Those are the ones that will be chased down but as you've said, even if they're going to advocate this for so many years.

The thing is, they're going to continue to exist. There will be a lot of taking down, there could be casinos that might also be. But the reality is that, they're unstoppable and will keep coming back like mushrooms.
665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Aspect of Sports Betting or Casino Gambling Posed a Challenge for You? on: December 08, 2023, 08:33:32 PM
Many actually but eventually, I just observe the others on how they explained it when I have some words that I don't understand and then later on I do my research about it to see what it is all about.

Although those things are just trivial things in sports betting like the terms such as parlay, etc. You know, most of those words that are not easily understood by a newbie.

Anyway, if there are challenges, questions or words that we don't know. We're just a few clicks and types away from doing it to find out the answer if there's no answer from the casino you're playing with.
666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 07, 2023, 11:43:33 PM
Congratulations to the Lakers for winning against the Phoenix Suns, they're unstoppable and consistent this time. They'd be up against the Pelicans tomorrow and this is going to be easy, we'd go for Lakers still.

While on the other side, it's hard to think of Pacers and Bucks. I am a Bucks fan but what Pacers is doing is impressive and I just can't turn my head on them.

But anyway, I'd still go this only for Lakers and whoever wins on the other side, I'd be happy with the result.
I just watched a video a few hours ago (Heat Check) regarding the problem with the Suns right now.
They've shot better than the Lakers (49% for them vs around 30% for the Lakers).

The problem with the Suns is they're allowing their team to get many offensive rebounds, and the Lakers currently are the top in Offensive Rebounds with 14.5 per game. In this game, the Lakers got 21 offensive rebounds which is too many. It seems like the Lakers exposed the Suns' weakness, and that is their big players are just too weak for other teams. TBH, that video is a very good one because knowing that many bettors and NBA fans are rooting for the Suns as their top pick to win the title, they just got exposed by the Lakers, and this might be a reason for them to slip their chance to win a title.

As for the Pacers-Bucks, the Pacers are the top offensive team right now, so I expect this game to be a close one. I mean the Bucks have Lillard, and Giannis plus other role players, but Haliburton is just a great PG for the Pacers. TBH, it's hard to bet which team will win, but I always wanted to be at the opposite side so I might pick the Pacers to win on this one. Smiley
The game was close but good analysis on their end. Despite having a good roster, still, that won't matter anyway to the meta of NBA this time. There has to be more of consistency and team work and that's what we've seen on Lakers end.

Anyway, they'll be having a match tomorrow against the Sacramento Kings. And this team is also like by most people of how they've ended last year so, both liked by most fans but still, whoever is the best shall win and we only need one winner.

And for next week is an awaited one, Suns against Warriors.
667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos and gamblers are struggling with high tx fees.? on: December 07, 2023, 10:31:53 PM
I'm just wondering how crypto casinos are able to cope with this high Tx fees.. cus definitely, they'll have a decreased transaction rate.. anyways, I understand the fact that they've got so many ways to cover up whatsoever.. maybe digital sales? Etc.. that'd also equat atleast 11/3 of the usual influx.
IMO, they've seen this coming and prepared for the decreased deposits but gamblers will always be gamblers though. It won't be a hindrance to gamble.

do people still gamble with these high tx fees? Is the current congestion in the mempool a motivation to some set of gamblers? that they might likely get fortunate since alot of gamblers won't wanna evade the high fees??

Sandra 🧑‍🦰
Yes, even with high fees, the good thing with most casinos these days are about the alternative options to deposit. There are altcoins that have cheap transfer fees and that's what other gamblers do, or should I say that most gamblers do when unforeseen events like this come.

There's always the contingency plan to keep on gambling.

669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I could have won bigger. on: December 07, 2023, 12:25:56 PM
So how was it? Did your friend already paid you as it seems you've got a grudge to him for not paying you so that you could have potentially win more?

Imo OP should not blame or feel bad about his friend, because he has missed a chance to win more. It is nice achievement that you have turned $1 into $50. But if your bank would be 10 times more, are you sure you would have placed same bets and would have risked the same? To be honest, I am not sure that you would go all-in. I suppose you would have bet only part of your money, and would spent rest, or maybe gambled differently. You could have won more, but dont hunt for every possible money and try to earn all possible money.
That's pretty normal when we have won such amounts and we've got lesser capital due to the money that was borrowed from us. And there goes all of the thoughts about what ifs when that money wasn't lent.

Anyway, there's no way to know if the results are the same if that money was with him/her.
670  Economy / Economics / Re: The bad things will make people hate fiat currency no trust in goverments on: December 07, 2023, 09:06:46 AM
It is estimated that only about 4.2% of the world's population of 7.95 billion owns cryptocurrencies. This means that people still prefer fiat and a loyal to centralised platforms. Maybe the reason might be because of poverty, ignorance, and unfavorable government policies.

Good data and facts but also a complex dynamic because BTC price changes are very volatile causing this to happen like a bubble and if it is difficult to get the currency out, then the fiat currency on the service becomes less valuable, and the price of bitcoin will be higher and another factor is due to currency uncertainty fiat money.
We've been hearing about Bitcoin is a bubble and that won't never stop because it's always been the case that those that can't accept the fact that Bitcoin is widely accepted today and there's still a huge potential to grow, will say the same thing over and over again.

While that percentage of the world's acceptance of Bitcoin is still low, we can see that if people think that it's quite expensive for now. How it is going to be when that percentage of adoption becomes more and increases?

Let's just take one step at a time and let the government do their own thing because no matter what they do, they're only bound to adopt as well.
671  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is the only currency that has grown the most!! on: December 06, 2023, 11:52:12 PM
Present, there are many altcoins in the crypto market and they have grown a lot. But it has gone down and gone again, but Bitcoin is the only currency that hasn't gone down yet, instead it's going up. I've noticed that Bitcoin has grown the most over the past couple of days, but altcoins haven't grown as much in comparison. Currently, we see Bitcoin market above $44000, I think it will bring $45000 very soon. Will Bitcoin Touch $50,000 By This December?  What do you think about the way the Bitcoin market is currently growing?
This is expected.

We've got several factors looking at, halving, bitcoin etfs, institutional money is coming back together with the retailers, etc.

That's going to make the demand higher again and this is typical when we're going to the bull run. Everyone starts to understand the cycle now that we're in and that's why everything is possible, could even be higher than $51k but could just be stuck to $44k until eoy.
672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Do You Convince Someone On Something That Will Not Work on: December 06, 2023, 10:46:18 PM
Just give him a warning and that will do and you did your job as a friend for giving him the reminder and warning that he shouldn't go that much because martingale's known for that effect and result.

Regardless of the result and if he's going to listen to you or not, you're done there and you did your part for telling what you know about the potential result of it.

So, whether he ends well then that's good but if he ends badly, you are at no fault with that and you shouldn't feel any regret because it's not you that moved and gambled the money but him.

674  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: User protection funds, Should more cex adopt this culture? on: December 06, 2023, 08:38:27 PM
Is Binance's SAFU the same with this protection fund of Bitget? Yes, it could just be a shill to make it look good but here's my tea on this one.

It's not going to change the fact that CEX remains as a CEX even with these features. As long as they're not providing its customers the custody to own over the coins they deposit, whether there are insurances or protection funds, nothing will change that fact.

It might be a good feature but do you think that it's good to rely on it because they have that sort of protection? The best protection is you alone to hold that key of your funds.
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Gala still worth it? on: December 06, 2023, 07:19:35 PM
This Gala was most of the games right? and if you're seeing them doing good then only you can figure that out if it's still worth it to hold or keep on buying them.
Yes, it is the coin of Gala games.
Thanks, I remember it and if you're a game enthusiasts then pursue what you think with this coin. There are also other token games that you can invest on it if you're still into these type of tokens.

But if not, try to find something better based on how vast your knowledge is with these tokens.

I guess you should be patient. Gala is a potentially good coin imo. But you never can tell.
This applies to the majority of the crypto that seem to be good.
676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Gala still worth it? on: December 05, 2023, 11:54:01 PM
You said that you've bought it since last year and I think with that, you're able to do your research about the project.

This Gala was most of the games right? and if you're seeing them doing good then only you can figure that out if it's still worth it to hold or keep on buying them.

So a quick check on its chart, if you anticipate that there's going to be another rise on it for the upcoming bull run and altcoin season, that will be your call.
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoins with Masonry Earnings. on: December 05, 2023, 10:55:36 PM
Wait, you have worked in a garment's company for two years and they terminated you for having no experience? They should have done that before you even started. Well, that's not the point of this thread but I am just intrigued. LOL.

Anyway, @OP. Good luck and congratulations with your start. Was it that Binance have that $10 minimum of trade and I am confused again with that $5 start of yours?

Regardless of these confusing things to me, what's the most important thing here is that your mason earned money is being put into Bitcoin and this is the start of your rocky road journey with Bitcoin.
678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner needs your advices in gambling. on: December 05, 2023, 09:53:08 PM
Everything that's too much is going to come and affect you in real life and that's why you need to be careful and the other newbies. If you're not going to be careful with that, for sure that's going to harm you personally.

It's not just one person that has affected with that but there's a lot of gamblers that have been out of their controls when they've started and ignored the harmful effects of it.

That's why it has to be remembered, when something's too much, it's dangerous.
And this kind of mindset should really be applied on gambling which i would say that you would really be needing it. Everything's too much would really be that bad or something that would be ending up on a disaster.
So you should really be careful on whatever things that you are really that doing. Be wary and be sensible then you would really be just that fine. When dealing with gambling then only spend on the amount
on which you could afford to lose and never ever make yourself that go beyond the border line, or else you would really be putting yourself on great trouble. This is why it would really be that important
that you should really be wary when it comes to your spendings so that you wont really be that making yourself that getting wrecked in the end of the line.
Be sensible and be attentive on the actions that you are making because if you dont then you might really be ending up on spending more.
Yeah, there's no other thing to do but being sensible in what we do and at the same time to be attention with our actions. Since this is all about the newbies out there.

They need to put extra effort and care to themselves because they can imagine on how the old and experienced gamblers are still being affected by their own activities and can potentially be addicted.

And they're not exempted to that as it can happen to anyone and I think that newbies are more prone to it.

680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will invest the money to buy the land in Bitcoin. on: December 05, 2023, 09:25:29 AM
Definitely a good choice to invest in Bitcoin, but at the moment just wait for a correction, the price has gone up twice the price, for me now is not the time to buy, I know how eager you are to put the money in Bitcoin, but this is your first lesson you should not buy when the price is going up, instead wait, there is a time to buy and a time to sell, if you have ever decided to still push through I would suggest keep half, why? because in the event the price goes down you can still buy and add it to your portfolio.
I agree that he needs to be patient that he can wait for the correction. While we've seen the market moved up quickly, there will be some corrections that shall come and he needs to wait for it if he wants to buy a bit lower than the current price.

But there's also a good strategy that he can simply buy at any price which is the known DCA and there's no problem whether he buys to the top price of the current time.

Because a year or two, the price will be more than what it is today.
