Not long for now that all people shall start to recognized not just Bitcoin and all of the crypto out there. I just hope that it will turn out good because for now Bitcoin is heading downwards.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why people say only $BTC has a real future on: July 11, 2018, 11:38:57 AM
I notice a lot of people often saying that all altcoins should wither and die. That not a single altcoin project will or should survice. That there's only 1 viable blockchain project and that is bitcoin. That all spin-offs have already failed, or will fail. That 99,9% of all altcoins are scams.

I am sure you guys see this too (everywhere)...

There may be several reasons why people keep saying bitcoin is the only blockchain project to survive. I'll list a few, perhaps you guys and gals can think of more?

1) They are in BTC from the beginning and have never really done any research after the first several blockchain projects came after btc (of which a lot failed yes).

2) They see altcoins only as a way to enlarge their ownership of BTC and need to occassional spreading of fud to make sure alts do not get too popular which could negatively impact bitcoin dominance...

3) They got in too late to the party, bought into btc only at ath and after the huge (and obvious/logical) drop they have all reasons to see btc get to ath again.

4) They are burned with one of the failed blockchain projects and got out completely or only support bitcoin.

5) They are anti-crypto and don't see any point in having crypto play a vital role in incentivizing blockchain (crowd funded) projects.

I am not talking about those that simply support BTC over any other project (which is fine and their choice), I am referring to those that will never pass up a chance to completely burn any other blockchain project to the ground over bitcoin.

Got any other reasons?

Yes, all of your statement is correct. People tend to believe just in Bitcoin because maybe they only know Bitcoin as the only crypto and doesn't know that there are other cryptos out there.
663  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Daily trading or Holding Cryptocurrency for long time on: July 11, 2018, 10:37:08 AM
Considering the present market situation, which one will be more benefiting whether Daily trading or holding cryptocurrency for long time? Please let me know.

I do day trading Bitcoin. But also I do trade for long-term only on altcoins. I just buy a ton of them and wait it out if they pump and I do try to separate them so that I will not lose all of them.
664  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do older people like investing in Gold/Silver? on: July 11, 2018, 09:16:48 AM
I'm not one who would invest in precious metals, but I have noticed that a good amount of the older generations are pretty keen in investing in these metals. They see it as a way to bet against the market, and a security that will always be safe -- even in the times of a market downturn/country failure as a whole.

I personally wouldn't even want to buy these metals in those events, as I don't see the reason to. I'd rather invest in securities that go up when the market shits itself (Payroll lending companies and so on and so forth)

Does anyone here know the reason behind people loving precious metals?

Because they rather invest to a thing that they truly understand. But I know when other will understand crypto then that is the time they will start to invest in it like us.
665  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where you take inspiration when you tired from trading? on: July 11, 2018, 04:22:58 AM
Where you take inspiration when you tired from trading?
i hard to say when you sometimes tired from trading or have stress from ico or lose part of deposit. What you do to relax refresh youself and get inspiration for new trade. How much time you need to refresh youself for new hight.

If I ever get tired from trading, I would like to take my confidence from my own life where I am just a poor unemployed boy who has a goal in his life become financially independent.
666  Economy / Economics / Re: How the Bank works to make money? on: July 11, 2018, 03:57:05 AM
How do you think banks make money, how does a bank make money to pay its employees and business operational?
Does the bank rely solely on interest on loans from banks?

I think banks do get their money from their customers. They borrow it and it terms they also get money from those customers who loans from them and add interests.
667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe BTC wont last because NO ONE really profits from it... on: July 11, 2018, 03:27:21 AM
I look at BTC as the greatest thing for our world.  We need digital currency.  It makes sense.   But,  we live in a world where we are driven by greed and profit.   So with that said....

If someone creates a ALT coin to compete with BTC for first place, I think eventually that ALT coin will get there.  Because at the end of the day, if that 'ALT COIN" makes enough money they can continuously push their "ALT COIN to surpass BTC.

I dont see anyone financially backing up BTC.
I see Bcash and their owners making deals.
I see Ripple making deals
I see pretty much everyone else making deals
And pretty soon those deals that these "ALT Coins" are making will eventually climb them into the #1 spot

PLus, people are shorting BTC all day long.  It sucks, because im the "buy during the dip" guy.

my opinions only.... im ready for the backlash

Somehow, you're correct with your statement. Perhaps, yes. Bitcoin will really be left out by some other coin. But for now, majority of people only know about Bitcoin as a crypto, but when the time comes people will start to notice all of those other coins.
668  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be calm when the market falls on: July 10, 2018, 06:26:44 PM
One strategy that works best in times of fall in the market is to remain calm, and not allow yourself to be blown by panic. Just hold the tokens with large caps and even if possible, buy more tokens and hold. For some coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum, it is always certain that whenever there is a fall, there is definitely going to be a rise.

What will you do when the market falls?

\

How can you be so calm if you see your portfolio is about to be wiped-out? For me, the best thing to do in a market trading I would try to cut my losses in order for me to take another trade again next time.
669  Economy / Economics / Re: Facebook now joining btc? on: July 10, 2018, 06:14:16 PM
Is this a good time for Facebook to try new kinds of stuff. Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg has become the world's third richest man in the world and he has achieved all that just because of technology and a right idea, So do you guys think he will now at least think about experimenting to take bitcoin as a payment method in facebook. I think that will surely change a lot of people's mind around the world and they can freely put some money on facebook business.

Well, I didn't see any news about that. But I guess Mark is the one who is using crypto or blockchain technology, and maybe he got in because he sees the future with it.
670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of bitcoin in Nigeria on: July 10, 2018, 06:01:02 PM
My fear.

Is not that Nigeria lacking behind?. Hell shouldn't be.  I see lome Africans growing faster and faster when it comes to bitcoin utilization but here in Nigeria reverse is the case.

If they wanted to use crypto then they should try to do something about it for themselves. But I know that there will be people that will introduce it to them and teach them how they can make use for it.
671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will banks ever offer bitcoin deposits? on: July 04, 2018, 06:00:29 PM
Since, bitcoin is a decentralized currency; it couldn`t be monitored or even used by financing and banking institutions for their own profits. However, to break-even and in order to even attain revenue from bitcoin – it could somehow be possible (but not so certain) that banks will offer deposits of bitcoin as means to maximized technological development and advancement. In result, evolved banking institution may exist; hence, only to adapt the ever changes of the business environment.
672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which exchanges are you mostly trusted? on: June 29, 2018, 06:45:59 PM
I see many exchanges in the market now.

Which exchanges are you mostly trusted?

You are right my friend, and this is due to the fast transition of cryptocurrencies to be known in the whole world. With these scenario, cryptocurrency can be as liquid also as foreign exchange in the future. Whenever I trade, I do love decentralize exchanges rather than those company owned ones. Because as its word, decentralized, no one controls it but somehow, are vulnerable to hacks. In the other hand, company's which operates exchanges might deal with greediness and run for the money the acquired.
673  Economy / Economics / Re: Can human stupidity affect the movement of the market? on: June 29, 2018, 06:04:30 PM
Hello, community. Political, economic and social news in the media significantly affect the life and behavior of the crowd. How can crypto news affect the movement of the market?

Yes indeed. There are a lot of factors of price fluctuations when we are to deal with cryptocurrency. And like other industries, especially Foreign Exchange, they factored out also the news from mainstream media. So it means if one news is so not good, then it could affect investors perspective, result is they will sell at very low price.
674  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing in Bitcoin? Advantages and Disadvantages on: June 29, 2018, 05:51:59 PM
While browsing the net, I have stumbled on an interesting article were all the advantages and risks related to investing in Bitcoin have been laid down. An excellent, and informative read: http://cryptodetail.com/page/risks-of-investing-in-cryptocurrency

Investing in bitcoin will arise a lot of advantages and disadvantages but we will just focus unto what is important. Advantages of a bitcoin investor especially if they had investment bitcoin way back one year or two years it was launched to the market, and if you believed in it. Wow, you surely are traveling around the world right now. Disadvantage, LOSS, you will gain loss if you do not study before entering this industry, so better be an individual of skepticism.
675  Economy / Speculation / Re: At least waiting for good and not waiting for nothing! on: June 29, 2018, 05:20:34 PM
I am positive that it will be a good thing to wait compare to wait for nothing because bitcoin holdings has been sell out already. Somehow waiting turns out like a positive value that will motivate us in the process at least waiting for good. What is the problem with that if in the end you will get huge profit? You will say that bitcoin is dead? Well bitcoin has died many times so i have no time to believe on it instead i am excited to wait what are the possibilities ahead in the next few months.

I always believed in that concept, nice motivation. Definitely, bitcoin is not “DEAD”, we have just run in a downward slope but what if soon it will move to top again? What if prices will rise again? We always stock in the chain of process (cycle) –high low, low high, then other people will receive, others will regret “AGAIN”… It is better to wait for good than waiting with nothing (Another concept for panic investors). If you wait with coin, you can invest it more; if you wait with no coin, you can`t invest anymore.
676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is For Risk Takers on: June 29, 2018, 04:34:12 PM
I seen lots of people are panic and selling and spreading FUD . But based on my experience people who really dare to take risk only won here .
Wise and daring investors are still searching for good potential coins to invest while its really cheap were greedy people are panic and spreading FUD
Finally people who dare to invest bitcoin even when the price of 100$ they created fortune here . Its completely daring and vision not at aall luck . SO if you are having real vision and want to make milestone in life then be here in crypto and support other wise please quit .

Every investor is risk-taker but it varies on when the risk must be taken. We cannot always see profitability while ignoring opportunities. Thus, investor must look always for high opportunities and if new currency is being introduced in the market with its material influence and help to the community then why not helping and improving it. In that stance, you already acquire risk but knowing risk having with great importance and future potentials. You should be risk-taker with mind and commitment.
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think that other coins move faster? on: June 29, 2018, 04:07:49 PM
Do you think that Bitcoin has become too slow to compete with the relatively quick alt coins out there? Is it realty competitive to have a slow community rather than a centralised decision making in development?

In other words, does the community effect of decentralisation enough to counterbalance the difficult decision making processes?

Crytocurrencies in its nature are very unpredictable but also can be predicted. We can used to evaluate the currency based on its used and such the growing demands for alt coins nowadays. Nevertheless, bitcoin is much faster than other coins in the blockchain (high marketing status and known by almost every people)- though higher price/cost. However, alt coins and other coins are developing and it depends upon the team to put value and effort (composing the coin) to make it much bigger and relevant than the BITCOIN cash. Note, the lower the cost the higher the customer`s value…Thus, with alt coin speeding its way in the blockchain (while spending lower cost of investments)  could exceed bitcoin having higher pricing. So, yes, it might…
678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is 2018 the year when crypto goes mainstream on: June 29, 2018, 02:58:06 PM
The truth is that the anticipation for crypto to go mainstream increases as time goes on. In fact there are skeptis who would have nothing to do with crypto unless it goes mainstream. Is 2018 that year when blockchain crypto goes mainstream?

(Heavy sighed) 2018 is a bit grounded because bitcoin is experiencing lower hit compared with the year – 2017. To alert the market - over the international issues such as the inclusion of whales who are controlling the large bulk of bitcoin and hodl an amount significant to influence the price and affordability of it. In effect, small investors were dumping their investments with no profit but a loss; leaving bitcoin a decrease in its price which will affect the future ability of the currency.
679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin difficult to understand? on: June 29, 2018, 02:02:46 PM
If you look at it as Currency, it is difficult for an average person to understand it because it is different.
Bitcoin, being a different kind of a digital currency, it breaks down conventional thinking in many aspects. No central regulatory body. The concept of mining. The open-ledger (blockchain), the way miners are rewarded, how transporting value is determined by its packet size and not value, the hash rate, the concept of limited supply. The 100 Million pennies in a Bitcoin, etc.
Its difficult enough for people in the money space to thoroughly understand Bitcoin (we all say we understand it, but do we really?).
For a common person, its an overkill. Its like trying to explain the concept of TCP/IP, Networking, Routing, the Internet for someone who wants to use email.  Overkill.

Bitcoin had a simple concept which is “the ease access of exchanges”. The key element to understand bitcoin is to know the reason behind its existence. However, it is not as easy as we thought. It comprises of complicated and complex process which some of them infer difficulties. Since, people tend to think as difficult then they can   `t able to distinguish right versus wrong. Some decisions might create negative effect and in result loss on investments. In contrary, the key element which is important for better investments has nothing to do with them but with you.
680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency could help your business or not? on: June 26, 2018, 12:00:31 PM
I was doing some research online and I stumbled on this kind of news. https://news.bitcoin.com/since-embracing-bitcoin-robinhood-app-value-jumps-to-5-6-billion/

The article said that robinhood app after embracing cryptocurrency have its value jumped to 6 billion dollars after embracing bitcoin. This is a good sign that more and more people are engaging into bitcoin. If more business will enter into the world of cryptocurrency and will bring back the original purpose of cryptocurrency as a medium of exchange rather than just and object of income and a trading item then surely we could revolutionized the world of finance and economy.

With robinhood as an example do you think there will be more business online that will boom and will not go bankrupt due to cryptocurrency?

I guess its hard to determine such facts base on one example so let us wait for the future to unveil itself.

Cryptocurrency can be a help on one's business through its peer-to-peer transfer of funds or money even for country separation, so your customers can be around the globe through cryptocurrency as payment medium. What can be the other factors when using cryptocurrency in the business? This is it has a high risk. These risk is about changes or fluctuations of price because of market movement especially cryptocurrency is very volatile.
