This is very interesting story how he got his way to this project and how big plan is behind this motivation to make it wonderful platform. I also think they have good solution how to resolve the issues which are appearing in ETH blockchain and their solution is looking really amazing. Yes, definitely. It is all about improving/building the infrastructure that can host decentralized applications that can compete with centralized ones. It is a huge challenge. I see. So the amount of supply is determined by stakeholders’ voting. But I would like a max supply. For example, the block reward is 100 AE, then 50, then 25... if so, we will get a maximum supply and all reward comes from tx fee.
Agree with you. In addition, uncertainty in monetary policy will negatively affect the coin price and will harm the interests of holders. Developers should initially define Max Supply, and even after launching mainnet the community could change this number by voting, if necessary. Hey guys, A quick update from the dev workshop we did this week on the topic of monetary supply. We decided to set the inflation rate at a certain % per year without the ability to change that for some time. The percentage is still debated, but will be announced on or before Mainnet launch. That update on Main Net launch clears many thing by saying it is marathon not a quick race of few hundred maters. I will even say launch of Mainnet in my opinion will real beginning as development and improvements are permanent process according to market's demand and need. Aeternity team is aware of the everything that is great to read.

Coinbase has stated they are looking at listing 37 Altcoin additions.
As of right this writing, AE is listed as #30. In addition to BTC, BCH, ETH and LTC already listed on Coinbase, technically, AE should be a no brainer (for a multitude of reasons, including its current ranking).
While AE has a phenomenal team, is making great transaction, I However, doubt AE will be listed on Coinbase.
I know AE team is more concerned with substance/ launching great product, but it would be nice to see a movement of their marketing department in getting listed in the US market/ exchange.
Wanted to see if the team has had any communication with Coinbase or plans to?
Hey, When it comes to exchanges, there are two considerations on our part: 1. We are not currently interested in being listed on more exchanges. 2. æternity's AE is currently an ERC20 token. Once Mainnet launches, the ERC20 token will be swapped for cryptocurrency. This will require exchanges to update their systems to start supporting AE. With this in mind, it might be better to wait for the transition to cryptocurrency to happen before listing AE. Kind regards, The AE team |
