662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: December 04, 2017, 02:03:58 PM

Totally agree with that, IOTA is an amazing token, with even more amazing potential. But come on, let's think logically, price doesnt go like that from 0.6 to 2.6 in a matter of week. It is artificial, I am not sure about the volumes on the new Korean exchanges that accepted IOTA, but currently the bag holders are pumping the prices.

I am a huge supporter of IOTA and will re-invest for sure, but not with these insane prices.

The hedge fund/Institutional investors are jumping aboard IOTA probably, this isn't a pump IMO, it's a revaluation coming from outside the old cryptosphere, and will probably continue a bit longer. Maybe a slight retrace, but MK under 10bil is a buy for these cashed up hedge boys.
663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: December 04, 2017, 06:53:53 AM
What do you think is holding KMD back from having as big of a market cap as other similar projects like NEO and EOS?

IMHO all this wallet BS is the main thing.......this project launched on 01/09/2016......461 days and virtually every page on this thread has people struggling with wallets.

Cheers Jon  Cool

Early adopters get a chance of massive returns because,

1- they started early when the tech is literally being created, pre alpha stage
2- they keep up and learn how to do things, what's going on, which isn't easy

Anyone reading has achieved 1- above, but many don't realise 2- is the price we all pay for life changing opportunities.

When the wallet issues are all sorted, which they will be, the flood gates open to the masses, and the early adopter bonus reduces drastically. No pain, no gain!

I'll ask my question in a different way:

I have my original seed for KMD Address1 which has my KMD. I installed agama 0.23 a few days ago and used the claim interest button to claim the interest that had accrued on KMD Address1. The original amount came back to Address1 but the interest came back to a different address (Address2) that now shows up in my wallet. Previous versions of the wallet returned the original amount of KMD and the interest to the same address.

So my question is, if I were to install the latest Agama wallet on a different machine, and use my seed from Address1 to import my KMD, will this automatically also import Address2 that has the interest from above? If not, does that mean I know have to keep track of two private keys (one for Address1 and the other for Address2) to be able to recover all of the KMD?

Any guidance or pointers to documentation is appreciated.

Thanks

Good question, I am interested in the answer also.

I think it depends on whether Agama is run in native mode (full block chain download), or in spv mode which runs like Electrum. If your seed was generated in Electrum mode I think interest will go to an address generated by the seed also, so you just need the seed and all your addresses are easily regenerated, but not if you run Agama in native mode.

A dev team member can confirm, wait for that.

It looks like the market is not too happy with the 250k MN requirement.  The Stratis price  should be jumping sky high but it struggling at 3.60.
Stratis is going to have to come up with something better than 250K MN requirement as its alienating a lot of token seekers.
How many people have 250K Stratis lying  around ? Not many I'd guess  unless you are a whale or a Stratis  insider .

If there's to be a 10K node , this should have come out first before the 250k MN requirement  ( so as to keep people interested in Holding Stratis).   The market always communicate what it thinks by reflecting it in the price and Stratis has been hit hard. Unless Stratis can keep token holders interested it will be a P and D token until mass adoption takes place or  it offers features which benefit the token holders.

C# only targets enterprise  windblows customers,  which is a limited audience. How about some python, Java,  javascript ports . Once Stratis hits reasonable prices there will be  selloffs unless token holders are incentivized to HODL .
I am sure there will be pools allowing several people to join and create MN together

Agreed, MN pools are a no-brainer, not exactly trustless, but for some, well worth the risk.

Dev Team can confirm that everybody who have/buy 250 k coins can set up Tumblebit Masternode ? Or still is limited number masternodes max 20 Tumblebit Masternodes ?
I not saw my disscusuin few pages ago never answered:

Wow, how pissed-off would someone be if they bought 250K Stratis and DID NOT get to run a masternode ...
The CEO already confirmed theres no limit for masternodes , What are you trying to do ?

I'm not doing anything, I like stratis, I just previously read there was mention of MN limit of 20, and now some forum members here say this isn't so, great!

If CEO confirmed great,

Anyone that has 250k and technically able can run a node. Stop spreading rumors.

are you part of the dev team confirming @Sjacmur query?

It is open source dolt. If you took the time to look you would not be asking stupid questions.

OK, so you're the one spreading rumours then if you don't produce a confirmed statement from someone in a position of authority,

'open source' .. what does that mean in relation to stratis dev's previous comment on there being a need for 'maybe' only 20 masternodes?

It is all publicly available. A position of authority will never visit here. Good luck and try Google.

ok, so you're spreading a rumour about a rumour then .. good work dude lol

edit: I just said how pissed-off someone would be if they bought 250K and the limit was 20 MN's and they missed out, not exactly spreading a rumour ...

Which is the best exchange to store BTC on during the fork?

I've been hodling for so long I don't use exchanges now, but want to get access to both forks asap after the fork.

When will NXTventure assets be distributed?
As it said in the announcement, in early December based on Nov 30th snapshot of NXTventure holders

you can redeem the assets multiple times, it is all automated now so no worries

Thanks! Probably makes sense for NXTventure holders to swap once after Nov 30th snapshot, assuming the accumulated dividends will be paid to asset holders shortly after NXTventure is liquidated.
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | POS | Assets | Names | Polls | Automated Transactions | Social Network on: November 06, 2017, 07:02:55 AM
Qora is a relatively good project, but the lack of a strong community for publicity, development and update speed is not fast enough, which is not good news for investors, which requires patience slowly waiting

They just started working with a new team. Gonna take a little more time. The good thing is anyone who bought at even 10 sats can get their money back when an exchange opens or just by trading now. Qora also does ACCT with Burst so you could trade for that too. Back at 10 sats Bitcoin was 700? maybe 1200? can't remember what it was when Polo delisted. So 700 would be 10x so if only at 1 Sat now is even money. Keeping the price of Qora low actually may have saved it and saved any investors. Think about people wanting to buy at 2 and 3 sats while your position was 10x out and it gets run up to 10 sats easily. It is going to be a great market for Qora! I would stick around another year if it takes that long and Bitcoin may be at 30,000 by then with 1 sat of Qora being able to fund you like a king! It is a Beautiful Thing!! That would be the equivalent of 0.0003 for your initial investment, right now it is about 0.00007 or 7K sats sitting at 1 satoshi. The coin could stay dormant for 2 years and it is like Cold Storage for your Qora!

Qora is a good buy @ 2-5 sats, if new dev team deliver then +10 is still cheap as chips.

Still hard to believe qora has been around since 2014 and never really had a big pump.

677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: November 05, 2017, 02:02:23 AM
However this great work of his is getting killed by his not so great idealistic distributional model.

Disagree completely. If it wasn't for the airdrop, I would likely never have heard of the project.

The distribution method has worked well, coins are 60% distributed, no ICO smell, and price is still low enough to attract new investors. Every distribution method has pros & cons - PoW is incredibly energy intensive, ICO's have legal risk and are scammy, and airdrops favour early adopters and some whales. Nothing is perfect, but velocity of circulation ensures that eventually the coins end up in the hands of people who value them, and support the project.

Stop whining guys, BB distribution is going well, and if tonych decides to tweek some aspects no worries, it's his project, and he didn't earn a cent from any ICO.

Stratis breeze wallet is very much involve with the bitcoin core due to tumblebit. So whatever changes in the structure of bitcoin (forking), devs will adapt it to have a smooth flow of operation between Stratis and Bitcoin. Hodlers grasp the rope tighter and we will have a hell of a ride.

If 2x fork wins, which looks likely, maybe Core devs come and work for Stratis, better than unemployment.

You refer to Nicolas Dorier? He is Core dev and work in Stratis too. I think more core devs will come if they need new jobs like you said. They will bring more value to Stratis.

If the 1x fork loses, Blockstream company might decide to switch over to the winning side and develop lightning network on 2x fork, BUT, maybe some Core devs currently working for Blockstream would find that humiliating (people have egos & pride, companies neither). Some Core devs may soon find it impossible to work with 2x fork, and Stratis might suddenly look like a good exit strategy, seriously!

How will remaining XLM be distributed? Have any details been released on more airdrops?
