Bitcoin Will Hit $1 Million In 5-10 years, What’s your say about this?

I say that this thread should be moved in the Speculation Board.

Regarding the topic, a million dollar within that range you specified is hard but possible. I think that you played safe there in specifying a wide range for a speculation, good job. We've seen bitcoin's price to double within weeks and achieving 1 Million withing 10 years is quite possible (if not impossible). All we have to do is wait and hold more bitcoin. Wink
662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The power of Bitcoin on: May 24, 2017, 06:31:44 PM
The power of Bitcoin, $10,000 Bitcoin Investment in 2010 Now Worth $200 Million

If only I knew bitcoin back then.

Yes, Bitcoin is indeed powerful. It even made countries to accept bitcoin as a mode of payment and see bitcoin as a legit currency (only for their own perception and not officially). It made people to be engaged with it, increase bitcoin's demand and in return, Bitcoin's price soar up.

Bitcoin is not just powerful, it is also strong. Despite of all the issues faced by bitcoin, we can still see it standing and enduring all obstacles.
663  Economy / Speculation / Re: If I showed you this a year ago, would you have believed me? on: May 24, 2017, 06:19:35 PM
Why not? Well that is for those who are new in the world of bitcoin as well as who are outdated about bitcoin. Seeing that would fool them and would probably jumped in excitement not knowing they're trolled. And a NO for persons whose eyes are always staring at the bitcoin's price. As for me, It's a no. I haven't met bitcoin until this year so I was disappointed that a came in late  Cry
664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoins now, At this price, It Isn't working on: May 24, 2017, 06:08:58 PM
I love BTC, I want BTCs, but buying them now, at this price, it won't work..too expensive Sad Angry . If you owning Bitcoins or thousand satoshis, consider yourself lucky!

I feel the same way about bitcoin. I love and want bitcoins but I cannot afford to buy even a single one. That's why instead of buying, I gain bitcoin by earning. Bitcoin's price has been tremendously increasing and having some would make you feel great. But disregard the expensive part and start buying bitcoin, hold and wait. After a certain amount of time, you'll be thankful that you bought some then.
665  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is not used for what is meant to be, possible Crash on: May 22, 2017, 09:50:13 PM
I am worry about that BTC is not being used for the porpouse of is creation, that is being used as a currency, instead is being used as an investment, and is going to crash if is just saved and not used, so the BTC will crash to zero very soon if that does´t change soon.

I don't know but I have to disagree. If Bitcoin is used in a daily basis just like a typical currency/fiat, would you think that the price of bitcoin will reach the price just like $2000+? No. People treating bitcoin as investment is the reason why we are experiencing this sky high bitcoin price. They hold their btc which adds to the scarcity of bitcoin in the market. Thus, decreasing supply vs. increasing demand leads to what we are seeing today in the price of bitcoin.
666  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if I buy 3BTC now and forget about them for 10 years??? on: May 22, 2017, 09:40:38 PM
I am wondering, what would happened if I can get some cash to buy 3 BTC that means at the prices of this moment 1 BTC = 2,252 USD so would be 3BTC= 6,756 USD and forget that I Have them for 10 Years???

Will I be rich??

No. You forgot that you have 3 BTC in possession so you will not gain any benefit from it.

Will I have lost all the money??

Yes. As to what I've said earlier, forgotten BTC = no benefit = all money lost.

Will I have just make a few extra dollars??

No. Refer above.

Would you do it??

No because I cannot afford to buy even a single bitcoin so I have to pass. IF ever that I purchased 3 BTC, I will not forget that I have them. I will KEEP them and stay untouched (the btc, not me) until the next 10 years.
667  Economy / Speculation / Re: How MUCH will the FINAL BTC be WORTH? on: May 22, 2017, 07:46:59 PM
Asked before I'm sure.

What ya think?

The worth/price of the final bitcoin mined would be equal to the price of an ordinary bitcoin at the time of the completion of the mining. Regardless if it is the first or last, each Bitcoin's value will be equal. OR if you are asking what is the price of bitcoin when the last btc was mined, then the answer is no one knows. Bitcoin's price is dependent on the supply and demand of bitcoin in the market so the only thing that I am certain is at that time when the 21 millionth btc was mined, the price of bitcoin will continue to increase because the supply is fixed and the demand will continue to rise.
668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Bitcoin ever replace conventional money? on: May 22, 2017, 07:38:24 PM
Couldn't Bitcoin ever replace conventional money cause of its own popularity is still not sufficient .

Popularity is not the key that will unlock the  event "Bitcoin replaced Fiat" instead, it will be acceptance. Even though Bitcoin reaches the highest possible level of popularity, it will not replace fiat easily without acceptance. Bitcoin should be accepted by everyone, the government mainly, regardless if it popular or not. Though popularity may contribute, still, acceptance is the key.
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CrowdSale] NVO Decentralized Exchange | Multi Wallet 🌟🌟🌟 Escrows 🌟🌟🌟 on: May 22, 2017, 06:40:03 PM
This is a portable and efficient wallet. I haven't seen anything like this and I am quite impressed. I have a question though, why NVO have tokens? What is the purpose and is it necessary?

NVO could have made a crowdsale in fiats, but it is a project made for cryptocurrencies, and in order not to get dumped, and to provide something different from the usual projects. For the details check this post : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1917456.msg19108512#msg19108512

I will await your feedback.

Thank you for the response and I must say the project is like what you've said from the link you provide, it is a revolutionary. With this kind of service, it will not matter if the mode of payment is in fiat or in any form of cryptocurrency.

Thank you also for the link and it made me enlightened a bit more about NVO. This project is interesting and I know investors will be drawn here. If only I have BTC to spare. Anyhow, I'll keep my eyes in this project.
670  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the Reason for increase of the Bitcoin? on: May 21, 2017, 09:01:20 PM
What is the Reason for increase of the Bitcoin?

This is due to the very high demand of bitcoin in the market with respect to the supply available. I believed that this event was greatly influenced by the announcement of Japan that they will accept bitcoin as a mode of payment and this was last April 2017. Followed by Russia, then the most current is the announcement of Australia. Announcing such acceptance surely brings huge number of new users, thus, increasing the demand for bitcoin tremendously.
671  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it a Bubble? on: May 21, 2017, 08:54:34 PM
Do you think bitcoin is in a bubble right now and price will settle back to near a $1000 again or do you think it won't be going down anymore? Not for too long anyway.(Meaning it may take a huge dump with some whale playing a game or something but will bounce back up soon too)
What are your thoughts?

I would rather say that Bitcoin is on a rocket rather than in a bubble.

1500 is the lowest possible drop bitcoin will experience if ever the bubble pops. Consider the major countries that announced their acceptance of bitcoin and they surely brought large number of users. Thus, higher demand for bitcoin in the market. With this in mind, bitcoin's price will not drop so much.
672  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin sucks ass but price still rises- how come on: May 21, 2017, 08:50:28 PM
Bitcoin has become a pain in the ass latley, transactions are stuck forever even with high transaction fees however the price still keeps rising, why is this

is this a bubble and bitcoin will collapse to pre 1000 again or will it continue to go up?

whats there to do with these transaction fees to be able to send bitcoin

The long wait for the transaction confirmation really sucks but I hope/believe that this will be temporary. It should be fixed and anyone associated with this should compromise. Despite of the bottleneck in confirmations, we are aware that more and more people are beginning to engage in bitcoin so seeing it's price to soar up is not much a surprise.

If ever this is some sort of a bubble then dropping to < 1000 is too low. I would say between 1500-1800. My basis is the act of Japan, Russia, and Australia.

Pay more transaction fee, an obvious answer, I guess.
673  Economy / Economics / Re: If USD falls on: May 21, 2017, 08:35:55 PM
Like many powerful currencies in the past, USD may fall to ground too, my question is will that effect BTC value? Or is it independent of all other real world or non digital currencies of the world?

An absolute no.

USD is not the key that dictates the value of bitcoin. Though the conversion of bitcoin to fiat is reflected in terms of dollars, dollar is just the reference and not the sole value indicator. Bitcoin's value is dependent on the demand and supply of bitcoin in the market so regardless of the reference, bitcoin will not change in value if the reference decreased/increased in value. It is just like the exchange in fiat (currency), if a currency inflates/deflates it will not affect any currency's value.
674  Economy / Economics / Re: Selling Bitcoin = Opportunity loss?! on: May 21, 2017, 08:29:16 PM
I do not consider that selling Bitcoin is a loss in opportunity. Why did you even come in the bitcoin community, to gain right? So if for yourself you gained enough profit from bitcoin then selling them would mean having a taste of what you've earned. Though you lost possible profit by selling earlier, you already gained before losing.
675  Economy / Economics / Re: Is anyone else done with this BTC game? on: May 21, 2017, 08:09:17 PM
You're done with bitcoin, some of us, including me, are just starting. You've gained enough benefit and all of this is all up to you. Enjoying the fun in life now is your decision and we are happy for you. We, beginners, would want to experience such achievement you had. Maybe, just wish us luck.

To those you, OP, pertain who hold hundreds of bitcoin is not greedy for me at all. It would seem that they just want to gain more for future purposes and not to take it all. It's their decision just like yours to be done with bitcoin. Respect is all we can do for all of them, I mean all of them.
676  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin for all levels of society, without any difference on: May 21, 2017, 07:57:52 PM
Bitcoin is decentralized so that whoever you are from wherever you are rich or poor, you are free to use bitcoin for any purpose. Bitcoin is freely used for anyone. anywhere

What is your response with this opinion?

This in not an opinion, it is a mere fact.

This is what Bitcoin is for. No one owns bitcoin, thus anyone who wants to have a bitcoin can have bitcoin, considering his/her capability to do so. And anyone can use bitcoin in whatever way he/she would want to just like fiat. Like fiat is for anyone who can have one as well as for bitcoin is for anyone who can have one.

678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not FIX the Transaction Fee? on: May 21, 2017, 07:03:23 PM
Transaction fees are fine as is. You want to fix something that's not broken. What need addressing is scaling...

That is for you, I think. Considering all users, they are not happy about the high transaction fee at all. I believe that OP is not trying say that the transaction fee is not broken or whatever, just impractical for other users. Having a fixed/constant transaction might be a good move but I personally do not know if it is really beneficial. I am not technical about this discussion but the idea is there.

Scaling has been an issue since like forever now. While they debate, we suffer.
679  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where can I pay with bitcoins now? on: May 20, 2017, 02:34:52 PM
Hey!
I know that we can pay with btc in Amazon, Tesla Motors, Kmart and Zappos. and I also see this list (https://99bitcoins.com/who-accepts-bitcoins-payment-companies-stores-take-bitcoins/). But it seems to me that much more shops and companies support btc payments.
Who else accepts BTC?

Update!
Here is the list of useful links:

Aside from the websites that you provide, I found this website as well: https://www.shopify.com.ph/blog/10480345-75-places-to-spend-your-bitcoins

Though we have this list, I think they are only the popular shops that accepts bitcoin. Those are just 5% of the total number of shops that accepts bitcoin, I guess. Many local merchants already accepts bitcoin nowadays and by local merchant I mean shops that can be found in just one country regardless of its popularity.
680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to deal with the situation of non-recognition? on: May 20, 2017, 02:21:45 PM
Bitcoin as an unrecognized currency merely means that it is not yet a full-pledged currency. Legality is not of a big deal here. However, some might misinterpret the term as illegal just like OP said in the first place. We, bitcoin users, do not have to make this an issue for this is not a big deal at all. Bitcoin will find its way to become a real and full-pledged currency. We do not have to deal with this because all will be what it should be at the right time.
