I was surprised at the Frankfurt 2:1 Marseille. I had hoped for more goals in the which rather came handy in the first half. Marseille though they lost, they proved that they were more than capable of winning the yesterday's fixture.
The match was very competitive. Both teams performed very well. We saw a lot of goals in the first half. The Frankfurt team went ahead 1-0 in just 3 minutes of the match. Matteo's goal in the 22nd minute tied the match at 1-1, but Frankfurt scored another goal just 5 minutes later to go ahead 2-1. But I expected to see a few more goals in the second half. But despite several good second-half attacks Marseille was unable to score again and lost the match. But Group D turns out to be very interesting. Four teams still have equal chances to qualify for the next round. I don't think Real Madrid will be open to bringing Ronaldo back to the club as a player, probably on a managerial challenge. The fact that's he's old and not as strong as he used to be gives a scare to other top teams especially now that his spell at United has not being better a lot now depends on his output currenctly at his club. The best option for Ronaldo now is moving to the MLS or Asian league.
At this time there is no official statement about this although there is some news about Mendes who is now trying hard to find relationships in order to re-enter Ronaldo into one of the big clubs. I must say Newcastle are a better side this season than in the previous season, they are improving with every game and not afraid to face even the toughest of opponents in the league. Tottenham on the other hand are dropping drastically in form, with the way things are going this season I hope they don't end up sacking Conte. Too many poor performances and losing to Newcastle at home isn't a good one at all.

Barcelona completely destroyed Athletic Bilbao by a 4-0 result today.
Dembele was the most impressive player of the game in my opinion. Because he contributed to every goal by one goal and three assists. This might be the best game he didn't play selfish and helped his teammates score as well. Because normally we see Dembele using nearly all of the chances by himself and wasting many of them at the same time. Athletic Bilbao are really in a desperate condition after that good start to the season. Maybe it is because of playing many big games consecutively these days.
O dembele = 3 assists and 1 goal, he is the man of the match. Xavi knew it was the perfect position to put Dembele on the wing, with this victory, barca (24 goals) is ahead of Madrid (19 goals) but madrid is still unbeaten, if there is a team that beats madrid then surely barca will be able to shift madrid's position because of superior goal difference. This season Dembele is not labeled as a player who only spends money with zero performance again because apart from his injury storm which seems to have stopped, his potential clearly looks better than before. But indeed this is what he has to do with the purchase price given and with a fairly large salary, then this is the kind of performance that must be shown. |
