6601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling risk is higher when we are on Bear Market? on: October 09, 2019, 05:27:29 PM
In such circumstances John only has 2 choices. First he has lost the value of Bitcoin and holding must also require a long time to restore its value. And the second way is betting, betting there are also two choices. In order to reduce the loss at the beginning or bet and eventually lose it all. So betting in this case the risk is very high, even losing all the bitcoin you bought at $18k
He is very impatient and can't wait for the next all-time high to gamble your Bitcoin, it's double jeopardy if he loses all his Bitcoin, he should just extend his patience to the fullest, he can lend his Bitcoin, other people are now selling everything they have I know some people, to buy Bitcoin because of the ETF approval and the next halving, so stuff yourselves with good news and hope.
6602  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What do you actually spend your cryptocurrency on? on: October 09, 2019, 03:54:08 PM
We are on our way to adoption but need to make real purchases in order to achieve the level of adoption that we need.

Is there any product digital or physical that you would willingly spend your cryptocurrency on? What would you feel good about spending your cryptocurrency on?

If so, What is that something?

Why or why do you not use crypto as your currency of choice?

Is that something on Forra.io?
After ten years Bitcoin has come a long way, you can literally buy anything with Bitcoin, I happen to live in a country where Bitcoin is well accepted in many merchants, I can pay my bills, my insurance, and convert my Cryptocurrency and use it to buy on one of our biggest local marketplaces here in our country, with the way things are going we can have a mall here mainly for Cryptocurrency only.
6603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The Most Redundant Topic In This Forum on: October 09, 2019, 03:10:14 PM
Ok just two days ago Bitcoin was trading $ 7,988.1 now while I'm posting this, it's $8,434.13
People keep posting and asking why the price keeps dropping when it will eventually recover they are not looking at the situation heading to the next halving with another potential of another all-time high.
I think Bitcoin's price is the most redundant topic here in Bitcointalk.
6604  Other / New forum software / Re: Finding an alternate bitcoin forum; is that necessary? on: October 09, 2019, 12:19:22 PM
I don't think another forum is needed. There is nothing to be gained from spreading the current user base among multiple sites with different agendas.

I don't think so we need more forums that can spread the knowledge and the technology behind Cryptocurrency, if we want more people coming in this industry we need to build more community, we need to build more network, each forum can work to support each other and be decentralized, we have so many coins in the market and each has it's own function and roadmap and so are forums and community.
6605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I access my BTC and other wallets on Public Internet Cafe on: October 09, 2019, 09:09:59 AM
I know it is not secure to use public internet Cafe Computers for accessing the wallets and for transaction needs. At times I don't have any other option than just using it. I would like to know, is there any software available to record the input data entered while accessing the wallet. Recently one of my friend informed about such a way to know the private keys. Is there anyone here have any such experience.

When logging in an internet cafe make sure that the cafe is using a defreeze software, so your information will not be saved when you turn off the computer, if they are not using defreeze you can clear the caches so no trace will be left, but the most important thing is using a virtual keyboard, some cafew owners are using keylogger to trace passwords, if you are going to use virtual keyboard, there's no way they can trace all your passwords.
6606  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How much do you think Bitcoin.com is worth, what price would Roger sell? on: October 09, 2019, 08:56:09 AM
If it was mine, I wouldn't sell it unless someone pays me 1 billion dollars, in bitcoin, which is around 120k bitcoins.

But that's only me. Some other guy wouldn't sell it at all or sell it for $50k.

I think $1billion is a fair price.

Checking some other application that determines the price of that domain, it could not go $500 million

BITCOIN.COM TRAFFIC WORTH
We estimate the website value of bitcoin.com is currently at $ 211,715 USD and reaches roughly 48,524 unique users each day that generate 96,673 daily pageviews

the number one social media site is only worth more than $300 million
http://www.siteworthtraffic.com/report/facebook.com

Quote
We estimate the website value of facebook.com is currently at $ 393,338,737 USD and reaches roughly 23,331,426 unique users each day that generate 179,606,316 daily pageviews with a daily revenue (from advertisements, i.e Google AdSense) of $ 179,608 USD approximately. According to Alexa (the Web Information Company) the Global Traffic Rank is 5

so if the number one social media site Facebook cannot go over 500 million I doubt Bitcoin can too, but it's only ten years as adoption is progressing so the price will increase every year.
6607  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Would you use crypto-currency to buy appliances? on: October 08, 2019, 11:40:25 PM
I'm going to pick the third choice which is - ABSOLUTELY NOT!  I'm hording all of my Bitcoins. Why use bitcoin when you can use fiat instead? Bitcoin is too expensive so using it too buy anything just basically means that you are cutting all of your profits in the next years.

I know you posted this 2017 but you need a change of mind Bitcoin is not all about hoarding, we should use it as what the developer intended us to use and that is peer to peer transactions if everybody is going to hoard and, it defeats its purpose, and Cryptocurrency will go standstill without development, we should promote usage and adoption for merchants.
6608  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Notice: Coinexchange is shutting on: October 08, 2019, 11:18:11 PM
Coinexchange is shutting down their exchange for no good reason....Guys please take your Coins/Tokens out.
The website and withdrawals will remain operational until the 1st of December 2019.

This is the right way for an exchange to close their operation, a longer time for traders to withdraw all their coins, sending announcement through all their social media channel and urging people to post on their social media as well, they want to go out with a good reputation and this is worth a praise, I have this feeling that many old exchanges will follow because of the competition make me wonder if the old cannot keep up what more on the coming new exchanges.
6609  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Team needed on: October 08, 2019, 10:57:18 PM
How about providing at least the basic details here, so that 99.9% of people don't have to waste their time contacting you for more information.

That's the hole point, if you don't waste time from time to time THE time will waste you! and I mean you.
Hope you made at last 0.01 cent for replying on this thread.

I think this is not the right reply, of course, people want to know if they are qualified on the project and they have worked on that kind of project before, it's like posting we need workers without letting us know what kind of workers you need if you are hiring plumber, doctor or engineer, at least you tell us, only a shit kind of developers will post something like this, after you finish with your project don't go posting here we have a project, give us your money.
6610  Other / New forum software / Re: Cryptos-Currencies.Com : First forum using Epochtalk on: October 08, 2019, 04:45:33 PM
Interesting I have one domain that I would like to test on that, I like SMF because of the many MOD that you can add and the many templates that are available but do this Epocktalk theme also offers many modification packages.
Some of the features are great looking at their roadmap

6611  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to lose your Bitcoins with CTRL-C CTRL-V on: October 08, 2019, 04:16:04 PM
I become aware of that two years ago it was big news back then, that was one of the reasons I add another anti-malware on my computer I also develop a habit where I will wait 30 seconds before sending the funds I will look on the first three character and the last three character to make sure I'm sending to the right address, if you're aware on something like this you will develop a precautionary measure so that it will not happen to you.
6612  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coinexchange.io is Closing Down. Official announcement. on: October 08, 2019, 03:43:41 PM
The Coinexchange.io is about to close. According to their last announcement, trading and deposits will be closed from 15th of October 2019. They have shown the cause of the market situation.
Those who have funds in the Coinexchange.io can withdraw until 1st of December 2019.

Announcement :-  https://www.coinexchange.io/news/post/85/

I'm glad they have set up a long period for traders to withdraw their funds, they want to close in good faith after Cryptopia this is the second popular exchange that will close shop, I used trade there 2 years ago but since the coming of Binance and Kucoin and other localized exchanges they cannot keep up anymore, so it's better for them to close and look for a more profitable business.
6613  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Adab Solution Bounty Scam on: October 08, 2019, 03:00:35 PM
https://t.me/adabannouncement

Their own announcement platform on Telegram has not been updated since July 2019.

They have not made any official announcement about why there are delays to their scam exchange which should have launched on 30th August 2019
Telling everybody that they haven't obtained a license to operate, now this is a piece of very bad news, what if they are denied because people from that agency will look for more information on why they should give them a license, what if they see these reports, they should have addressed all negative feedbacks and concerns before they proceed in obtaining a license, this is Islam and they should abide by it's teachings.

6615  Economy / Economics / Re: Your Source of Investment Money? on: October 08, 2019, 12:18:28 PM
My income online is also my source of investment money, half of my earnings from all my project and doing bounty, I buy coins with good potential, this is probably the best time to accumulate as many coins that you can because halving is coming next year and I'm pinning all my hopes to next year halving, I have high hopes that next year there will be another all-time high coming.
6616  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen if the all countries convert to cryptocurrency? on: October 08, 2019, 10:22:56 AM
Now that more and more countries are starting to go cashless (http://www.bbc.com/capital/story/20180427-does-a-cashless-society-benefit-everyone), is it possible that we also start converting to cryptocurrency? If that happens, what do you think are the advantages and disadvantages? Paying virtually is very convenient for me as I do not have to bring cash and it prevents petty theft but what is the disadvantage?

Advantages :
It would make things easy because people will not have to carry a lot of cash if people are going to use cryptocurrency everything can be accountable and recorded

Disadvantages
Like what is written in the articles some areas in a country cannot go cashless and the elderly people are more convenient using notes and coins
and there are areas in the country that do not have internet access, so it's impossible to transact with cashless transactions
6617  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin goes down, no new rich people anymore on: October 08, 2019, 06:25:22 AM
because bitcoin prices dropped as a result no new rich people arrived suddenly. . . on the contrary, many people go bankrupt because they suffer losses ... haha haahaa

If you are a longtime investor in Cryptocurrency, you'll know that the market is volatile and it goes up and goes down, not because Bitcoin is going down, it doesn't mean that people are going to be poor, and not because Bitcoin is going up and people are going to get rich, it's not always the end of the game everytime Bitcoin goes up and down, market is volatile every situation presents new opportunities.
6618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still excited when there is news about the real Satoshi coming up on: October 08, 2019, 05:10:23 AM
Well, it's not that exciting nowadays since the hype is over to bitcoin and many other altcoins have emerged already. However, if the real Satoshi Nakamoto would decide to come out and reveal himself, it would be interesting to learn about him and what inspired him to do such technology. But as far as now, we have no leads of who he really is, or maybe it's not a single person but an alias of a group. Whatever the case is, we still can't know.

The hype will never over on Bitcoin, once there is a new development people are very eager to check it and the internet will have high research about Bitcoin latest development, this has become one of the exciting niches on the internet, and if ever the real Nakamoto comes out, I mean the real Nakamoto expect real explosion in the internet all article new and media news will cover it, online and offline, every country will give attention on it.
6619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a scam? What to do next. on: October 08, 2019, 02:59:12 AM
So okay, this story didn't happen to me. It happened to a friend (let's call him Bob) of a friend (I will call him Sam).

Bob came to me asking is this a scam and is it legal. Bob doesn't know much about bitcoins and crypto, Sam even less.
Sam somehow got in contact with people who offers to open an account and invest into crypto. These people guaranteed a lot of profit. Sam paid 500 EUR at first and other two times a 2000 EUR.
What is interesting, that these people calling him to invest more. But he has an app (I don't know what app, because I heard it from Bob and he doesn't know either) which shows that Sam has doubled his investment (9000 EUR), but he cannot withdraw it now and these people (from Russia) are calling and rushing him to invest even more.

Bob asked me about that, I said that this is some nonsense. There shouldn't be people calling you and asking to transfer money. All is too fishy.

What should Sam do? Will the police help?

Call the police right away they are trying and already scammed you, people are still not educated that there's no such thing as double your money investment not even a company like Mcdonald can give you that, and if it is legit then they should not invite people and they just make profit out of their so-called investment program, and never invest in any investment, that you do not understand it's outright giving them all your money
6620  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price today returned to $ 7,800 on: October 07, 2019, 04:34:27 PM
If I have a huge funds to spare I will definitely take this market cycle as an opportunity to make a quick profit, on one day the market is down by 1% the next day it's up by 3%, this is how whales are making their profit, they take small opportunities like this to make profit on the volatility of the market, but you need a huge amount of funds to realize your profit.
