I agree, if this room will be added those gamblers will also desire to be in place where whales and heavy gamers are meeting each other, if such things will be implemented it will add more bigger bankroll to use from players who also wanted to achieve being part of those elite / vip gamblers inside a particular chat room.
You think that if there is a VIP chat room for high rollers, people will risk their money just to get in, i am not sure how people will spend more just to be in that chat room which is nothing special unless you have a huge amount of money to roll to begin with, only foolish people will spend more than they could afford just to be in the VIP chat room, may be there are people who think like that, if you are a high roller you will not care about those VIP chat rooms, you just roll for the thrill and the profits.

People don't have to bet 100 BTC just to join the VIP chat. The min amount wagered could be small like 0.1 BTC or so. The reason why I suggested this is because it would eliminate all the childrish behaviour that is very common right now in the general chat.

Most of the people there probably didn't even bet 3 figures worth of fiat and are constantely begging others for money because they lost it all on dice and they got a family to feed. It basically happens very frequently and its getting very annoying.

The VIP chat most likely wouldn't have these issues and nobody would keep betting just to get into the chat just to troll. Because if there begging isnt working on the general chat then it wouldn't work either in the VIP chat.

Its just an idea.

House edge 1% only!
Min bet 0.05 BTX and max bet 1 BTX.
Game with provably fair system.

http://oddevenbets.com

Easy to WIN.
Chance to win is 50/50!

Good luck,
friends!

I am really surprised you are offering BTX now. Once Crytopia shut down, most of the BTX volume is gone. Many had their BTX on Cryptopia including myself and it seems the coins are gone.

The other exchange that BTX is traded on is HitBTC which is a very sketchy exchange to use at the moment due to the potential solvency issues and potential path as Cryptopia. After these 2 exchanges the rest are all low volume.

Hence I am surprised why you decided to use this inactive coin.
6603  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will hit $1M on 2020 - John McAfee on: May 29, 2019, 07:12:14 AM
Its easy for bitcoin to go from $0.10 to $1.00 and then to $10, then to $100, then to $1000, then go $10000. However eventually the market cap will have to be enormously huge for it to reach $100,000 or $1,000,000.

Basically it means that if the currently trend is accurate then 100x more users will have to use Bitcoin. Right now there is almost 1 million active BTC addresses, so assume that everybody keeps their BTC in their 1 wallet and not on an exchange.

For it to reach $1,000,000 and stay there we would need 100,000,000 active users for BTC. Given how technologically challenging it is, I don't see that happening in 1.5 years. Maybe in 15 years however if the security factor is taken care of and its more user friendly.
6604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Wifi vs wired internet for the rig on: May 29, 2019, 07:06:30 AM
Like some of the replies in this thread, I've had issues with using wifi with mining rigs. I think if you have 1 or 2 rigs or if the rigs are more spaced apart it won't be an issue but if you got like 10 rigs, each very close to one another then you will get interference and signal drops.

The dead wifi connections were an issue because with the Claymore software, a no internet for a brief period caused the system to hang for some reason.

So I saved myself the headache and just wired up all the rigs and all the issues went away. You can just get a bunch of old router and plug one into the other if you need more ports. Each router can power up to 4 other network connections.
6605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PCIE gen 4 will it have an effect in crypto mining? on: May 29, 2019, 07:03:34 AM
The PCI-E extenders can run at PCIE 1.0 X1 with no hashrate drop. What makes you think that you will benefit from PCIE 4.0? Cheesy

I am not 100% sure this is correct but I remember back in late 2016 early 2017 when ZEC was first released and Claymore released a miner for it, the GPUs which used the x16 slot were faster than x8 which was faster than x4 and x1. And the conclusion drawn was that Claymore coded the algo to do some compute with the CPU for every cycle.

I think the reason why Pcie 1.0 X1 has no drop than a Pcie 3.0 x16 slot is because it doesn't communicate with the CPU too frequently. So the Pcie 4.0 probably wouldn't have any boosts compared to Pcie 3.0 currently out.

However with gaming is very different because the GPU communicates much more frequently with the CPU and maybe for gaming it might have an effect.
6606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Interesting ebay EVGA 1080ti FTW listing on: May 28, 2019, 07:20:00 AM
There's also another form of scammy listing going around on eBay at the moment that involves a seller asking for payment in cryptocurrency in exchange for the item being sold. The seller rejects your payment if you try to pay with any of the normal reversible methods of payment that are accepted on eBay, and unfortunately it seems there's people falling for these types of scams because they happen to pop up every now and then. Seems like eBay's getting better at removing this newer form of scamming, but some still get through every now and then.

I am still surprised that there are people still who do this. In the past I've bought a few crypto related items such as bitcoin miners, or GPUs, or Risers and I remember that there was 1 individual who contacted me right after I won the auction and posted his BTC address and demanded payment in crypto.

I told him I will only pay by Paypal and he basically re-listed the auction all over again, and didn't state anywhere in the auction that crypto is the only method of payment. I reported the individual but eBay actually did nothing.

He said that he only accepts crypto because of chargebacks and high level of fraud that goes on with selling Bitcoin miners during a price boom. He had some story about selling a miner and getting a chargeback 6 months later or being sent the ASIC back when the difficulty has sky-rocketed. I understand his reasons but still shady way to sell your items.
6607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Better than nicehash ??... on: May 28, 2019, 07:12:49 AM
I actually completely forgot about the Nicehash hack of Dec 2017.

Had to read up and find out what happened to those funds which I still had in my account back then, and reading their blog
https://www.nicehash.com/news/sixteenth-reimbursement-of-the-repayment-program

It still seems the funds aren't paid out yet, looks like its 75% paid and should be fully paid sometime in the next 12 months. I logged into my old nicehash account and the funds are actually still there. So its nice that they are slowly paying back everybody.
6608  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Creators of Dicing 🎲 | 29 Billion Bets | 112+ BTC Jackpot! on: May 28, 2019, 07:08:22 AM
I think one channel that really should be added should be a channel where you are required to have a certain amount of BTC or certain amount of wagerred BTC to join.

Reason why is because there are too many newbies who like to spam the chat or post really childish comments or harass other members. I think if there was a so called "Pro chat room" then most mature and devoted Primedice gamblers which frequent it instead of the main chat.

If I recall I think there was something similar done with BTCe years ago, a private chat where only the whales could attend.
6609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Interesting ebay EVGA 1080ti FTW listing on: May 27, 2019, 07:38:09 AM
Definite Scam! but how will it work though?
eBay has buyer protection, right?
Even if you didn't receive the order, you can just register a complain and get your money back.

Usually hacked paypal/ebay accounts.  Once you Buy it now they get the funds and then spend it on digital goods or some other easy way to launder.  So ebay/paypal eats the loss while you sit for a week with your thumb in your butt waiting for your funds to be returned.

This is how they do it.

He was stupid the better scammers list at 10 to 15 % lower then the lowest buy it now.

They list 3. Sell one to another account they control.

Give a good feedback for it. Say “ fast shipping good gear.”

Then sell two to normal buyers.  Then buy a gift card and use it fast to buy tools at Home Depot or something else.

Who eats the loss exactly in this scenario? Is it Paypal/eBay or is it the individual selling the Home Depot gift card?

I just assumed that Paypal wouldn't want to take the loss so they just cancel the payment sent to the individual who sold the Home Depot gift card to the thief.

Been a while since I've used eBay actually. Pretty much just buy stuff off Aliexpress/Amazon and usually just sell stuff locally on Kijiji. From all those negative feedbacks, paypal chargebacks, etc, I've moved on.
6610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Planning for summer 2019 on: May 27, 2019, 07:33:10 AM
Will water cooling rigs be a good solution for the summer or it will just be a waste of money and resources?

Water cooling will only make the rig a little quieter, the heat will still be there and will need to be removed somehow anyways. And it also makes the rig very bulky and its expensive if you got loads of rigs.

A few years back Bitmain made a water-cooled Bitcoin miner, I think it was called the Antminer C1, I had one for a few months. It was great because it was quiet and you could leave it in the office or sleep next to it, however it still generated heat and you had to put it somewhere there was good ventilation. And it was also bulky with the radiators and all the tubes sticking out.

Your best bet if you live in a house is to put them in the basement or garage, if you don't want it heating up your house.
6611  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price Will be 11,500 by June 2019! on: May 27, 2019, 07:26:24 AM
I think unlike 2017, this time the $10K milestone will be pretty difficult to break-thru. Remember that back in May 2018 it never actually broke thru $10K, it came very close and everybody assumed it would break $10K and head to a new ATH but it stalled right before and headed lower.

So people are prepared this time and most likely they will be selling off somewhere in the $9800-$9950 area just to be sure they can get their orders filled incase it ends up stalling at the same area last year.
6612  Economy / Speculation / Re: Long term advance notice! on: May 27, 2019, 07:23:45 AM
I don't think he was the reason for the dump all the way to $3100 from $6500 back in November 2018. I think its just a coincidence that it happened at the time of the fork.

The most likely cause of that massive sell-off was due to over-leveraged longs. Everybody assumed that $6000 support has held, which was proven multiple times in 2018 and rather than have a 1x profit in Bitcoin they went 5x or higher. And at that point pretty much anyone with a leverage position (unless they added margin) was liquidated sometime prior to the $3100 low.

Pretty much just as most of the bears that shorted $3500 or $4000 also most likely just got liquidated in the past couple of weeks.

Thanks for having the kind heart to donate the $1000 to the water charity and I hope it goes a long way to providing clean water to those in need.

I am not really too fond on most charities which want you to donate $100 and $1 or so actually ends up going to the end party, kind of like that "World Vision" charity that some reporter did an investigation on. They adopted some kid, and paid for his clothes, food and education and then they decided to fly down and see the boy they adopted and all the boy got was some t-shirt and didn't understand any English.

Its smart how there are some charities that can provide something such as a way to purify water instead of just buying water and delivering the water to them. Its a very innovated way and smart way to help. Kind of like "Give a man a fish you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish you feed him for life". Most charities adopt the former and most should focus on the latter if they actually want to make a difference.
6614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: End Of The Road To Cryptopia? After Loosing $16M To Hackers. on: May 26, 2019, 06:33:35 AM
Well, actually a strange situation, after 1 million of loss, screaming that it's 10-15% of our actiwave was gone,so not that terrible,in a month all will return and everything and silence, and then the news that they are closing,so what!?the fact that they lied about 10-15%,and there's at least 50-70% of the assets are gone, otherwise I would so direct is not closed quickly, although anything can be

Still there is not much clarity on how much they lost during the hack. According to them, 9.8% of the total funds were lost during the initial hack. And this was confirmed by some third party individuals as well. But then, in May some more coins (ETH) were stolen from the wallets after the users made deposits to them despite the warnings. That was when they decided to close down.

They probably only did lose 10% of the total funds but they went into liquidation probably because they had way too much debt due to the horrible bear market of 2018.

They probably hired a few dozen employees shortly after the peak and volumes quickly declined, which meant lower profits. Then they probably started to borrow money to keep the company operational and wait until "bear market is over" and it did end however they suffered this attack which was basically the nail on the coffin and they probably couldn't find a way out of the hole.

Would of been better to do a haircut for most users instead of shut down completely and everyone losing 100% instead of 10%.
6615  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on the way to $10,000 on: May 26, 2019, 06:29:16 AM
We already had 10k. It was a year ago! Some of us still remember. When we were there already, we know its possible to be there again. Why are you waiting for that level exactly? Bitcoin will cost much more in upcoming years, so waiting 10k to sell or to buy doesn`t have much sense. Get in now while price is still under 10k, don`t sell on 10k cause when we touch that 11k coming right after, and we will talk about going to 20k, magic circle, it`s how I call all that.

We never hit $10K a year ago. Look at the charts on Bitstamp and Coinbase, the price hit $9950 or so. Maybe it hit $10000 on the Bitmex futures due to the funding rates or on some other exchange like the Korean exchanges but the spot price never hit $10K back in May 2018.

The momentum was really crazy back in May 2018 and everybody assumed it would hit at least $10K and shortly after head to a new ATH. However it ended up forming a huge bull trap and the ones who wanted to get out at $10K never did and price hasn't reached that level since.

So keep in mind that the $10K barrier won't be a easy one to break through, most likely alot of manipulation in that area.
6616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: May 26, 2019, 06:23:03 AM
Had a gut feeling;   sold off all my XMR today.

Still gonna mine it;  but i'm not holding it for a while....

I think mainly to get it done while I can still liquidate; since most exchanges are starting to get iffy on if they will be keeping anonymous coins.....

IDC if the price goes up now either;  I really see it can hit 120-150, but, I think ill trust my gut on this one;  ive already made plenty off it since it has pretty much doubled in value for me.

You might be right, could be a similiar situation of what happened with BSV. It got delisted in many exchanges and pretty much value is tanking everyday (most likely the recent pump will fade completely with the copyright news).

I don't know about XMR but most alts I am holding right now. I am assuming we will see what we saw in 2017, where at first BTC was pumping and alts were losing dominance and then all of a sudden it reversed and alts started to rally while BTC was declining. Right now its not a good time to sell alts, especially ones like ETH.

Really looks like BTC wants to top $10K and will be interesting what happens if it actually pierces thru, might take another run at the ATH.
6617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining ETH is now no profit on: May 26, 2019, 06:16:03 AM
It's definitely profitable and all depends on your power cost, that and Eth is a coin people are speculating on.

Its still not profitable or barely profitable in many places around the world.

The only people who find it profitable at the moment are the ones with 10 cent power, which is fairly common in many places but in many other places like Hawaii its still not profitable.

Right now putting the number into What-to-mine you would need basically power to be less than 20 cents per kilo-watt hour to make break-even, based on a RX 470 4GB GPU which is fairly common.

I guess some can mine now and sell in the future if ETH ends up doubling in value.
6618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU Replacement fans on: May 26, 2019, 06:11:47 AM
The bonus for buying direct replacement fans is that if you decide you're gonna sell the card, it comes with the original fan and can be sold for gaming. I know its kinda doin someone dirty but if it still works fine, and is just not profitable to mine on anymore, you can still sell it at a huge discount to someone who normally couldn't afford to have such a nice GPU for gaming. Even if the lifespan is not going to match up to their expectations, they will figure out thats why it was cheaper than the rest of the same cards in the area.

In the past I've sold many GPUs second hand and most of them went to gamers or people doing video rendering work. You would be surprised but many people will not know how to switch the fans on a GPU.

For some retail gamers, when a GPU fan dies, they generally stop using the card and buy another GPU.

So if you make an ad and state that a fan needs to be replaced, you will have a hard time selling the GPU since most people don't have the experience for that job.
6619  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis on: May 25, 2019, 07:11:18 AM
I tried trading and learnt Elliot waves in the past but it's extremely difficult to trade it in real time. It does a great job when you are applying it in hindsight but doesn't really help if you are trying to trade and make real money.

I agree that $10K or close to $10K is on the books since it looks like we had a massive inverse head and shoulder and the neckline at $8400 will most likely break. And after that looking at weekly chart there is no resistance until $9800 area which was the bull trap of May 2018. I remember everybody assumed that it was the last time when BTC was going to be below $10K and the complete opposite happened instead, never hit $10K and stayed below it since last March 2018.

6620  Economy / Speculation / Re: Report: Google Search Volume and Tweets responsible for Bitcoin Price Surge on: May 25, 2019, 07:02:16 AM
I did not think it in that way and since there is no fundamental reason for the current surge in bitcoin price this might be the reason. Technically I think bitcoin was oversold in December and January and that is why people are buying and that pushed the price up.

If this was the case then bitcoin would be around $4000-$5000 or so but not at $8000 and what looks like about to break out and run into the $10000 area.

Take out a weekly chart and draw a horizontal line, how many times has it been above today's price in the past? Not much. A short while in the Summer and for a week or two in May and that's it. Before that it was above $8000 only during the crazy bull run.
