6601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think ? Is this an opportunity to get in or get out on: May 16, 2019, 06:27:26 PM
This is an old debate. While some people sell their coins to make fast profit, others say they shouldn't as the price can be much higher! The point is that we don't have control over every investors actions. If one of them (that holds many coins) starts selling, others have to follow him, or they will lose money.
And then it becomes a chain leading the price down. It's not investors fault, they are just following the movement of the market.
6602  Economy / Economics / Re: Price of goods goes up, salary never goes up!!! on: May 16, 2019, 04:23:58 PM
Every year the salaries suffer a correction (positive correction), unfortunatelly the prices of goods increase much more. I don't know from where you are, but the salary can't be the same for 30 years. I believe the economy is broken for 2 main reasons:
Broken welfare system and many public employees in the country. It creates a lot of costs that must be paid by everyone else. So you aren't actually paying only for your goods, but to maintain a broken system full of privileges for a select elite.
6603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to make profit from a dice game? Have any unique strategy? on: May 16, 2019, 02:36:49 PM
Not possible to make profit from dice game in a daily basis because the house edge.
Its not about the house edge i think because you can still adjust it higher so that you can increase your chances of winning  . it is possible to make daily profits that way but greed is your biggest enemy ,  greed can turn the tides

For dice games my only strategy is martingale since this is the most popular strategy for every kind of dice game .  i also use this strategy on hi/lo game but i think martingale method can also be use on any kinds of gambling  .
You can adjust, but there will be always a little advantage for the casino. Like playing with 50% winning chance for example: the reward won't be x2, but a little less. And if you play with reward x2, the winning chance won't be 50%, but 48%-49,5% maybe.
The proportion between winning chance and reward will ever work in way the casino wins on long run. You can adjust it higher, but the proportion never changes. The casino always have a little advantage: it can be over 10%, 50%, 90% winning chance.
6604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to make profit from a dice game? Have any unique strategy? on: May 16, 2019, 02:54:21 AM
Not possible to make profit from dice game in a daily basis because the house edge. It gives a little % advantage to the casino you are playing at. Some casinos have higher and others have lower house edges. From a technical point of view, you have more chances by playing in a low house edge casino.
About strategies, it's good to have more than one. Don't use always the same strategy. Diversify your game, use different methods (x2;x1,1;x1,5...).
6605  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why is it hard to say sorry on: May 16, 2019, 02:16:29 AM
In most cases it's just because we don't want to admit we were wrong, as was very well said many times here already, but in another cases it's because we fear to have a negative reply back from the other person.
It's possible to open your heart to say you are so sorry, but the other person might affront you back. I know it doesn't matter, as we are doing our part, but even knowing this, the feeling of being rejected pass through our minds and makes the apologize decision harder.
6606  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency lending business. on: May 16, 2019, 01:28:28 AM
I don't think that it would be a good business,
First people are greedy specially in crypto currency people would just scam you,
They could send some fake proofs like fake ID just to get the loan so becareful.
Then there must be a platform to close the deal. This way there will be some guarantee for the lender (although it's not totally warranted). As I saw in the past, the borrower should show a collateral before borrowing the money. This collateral could be an amount of altcoins in balance.
In case of not paying the lender back, this collateral would be removed from the borrower's account and sent to the lender's account. Poloniex platform is an example: https://poloniex.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/1000274348-lending-explained
6607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need so many cryptocurrency exchanges? on: May 16, 2019, 01:06:23 AM
We need real time concurrency. As more exchange options we have, the better the offered services will be.
That is a basic rule of free market: if a exchange is doing great, the concurrency will have to offer a better service to take the customers. Then the first exchange will have to improve their initial service even more to not lose the customers, and so on. It may be challenging for exchange owners, but for customers it's pure convenience.
6608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dump the alts on: May 16, 2019, 12:47:48 AM
I think it makes much sense. Why to waste a solid opportunity of making profit with bitcoin for a profit that may happen and may not happen with altcoins? Bitcoin we know that has a future, we can't say the same about many altcoins.
Even if you think the profit with btc is low, don't risk your money with altcoins, at least you know you are going to profit with btc for now, it's warranted.
6609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH vs BTC on: May 16, 2019, 12:09:50 AM
No. How can it out perform when the price of ETH is way below BTC, apples and oranges here. If you want to compare ETH then it should be other altcoins and not BTC because they are totally different and investors are more into BTC, sorry to burst the bubble for you.
I agree, we cannot compare ethereum with bitcoin, because in terms of price, investors, and others, bitcoin dominates more than ethereum. When a bullrun occurs it is clear that bitcoin is outperforming other coins including ethereum, and as we know that the price of bitcoin affects the altcoin price
It's because ethereum is just an altcoin like many others. Only bitcoin is king, if another currencies want to fight for a better position, they will have to fight for 2nd or below in crypto currency market. And as you said, bitcoin price affects altcoins price, not the contrary.
When an altcoin starts pushing the market up and not bitcoin, then we may consider the possibility of an outperform against btc.
6610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to the future on: May 15, 2019, 11:13:28 PM
Perhaps in the future people will have no choice and they will be forced to use cryptocurrency, or maybe there will be some alternatives. It is difficult to answer your question now. But the fact that the blockchain technology is already actively used is not a secret to anyone.
but if there is a technology coming in and that is better than crypto, crypto can be removed and people will use new technology, so in the future we don't know what will happen.
but I think Crypto is still the best for the next 5 to 10 years.
It takes too long for a technology to be implemented. Look bitcoin, it's more than 10 years old already and the currency is barely accepted by merchants yet. Until a new technology appears, become popular and be accepted, it will take a very long time.
I think crypto is free to reign for decades at least (considering the decentralized sphere will be respected by authorities).
6611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest inside job fraud ever? on: May 15, 2019, 10:43:17 PM
It's obviously speculation, but I don't think there is any fraud involving exchanges and inside trading. It can be a reflex of good news, as the management funds firm Fidelity is going to start trading bitcoin in some weeks (and this firm has good relations in Wall Street).
Knowing about this, many speculators started investing heavily in the market, as anyone could do the same, since the informations were public.

6613  Economy / Speculation / Re: what will happen if BTC hit 1.000.000$ on: May 15, 2019, 08:58:12 PM
There will be many new millionaires in the world. Cheesy
Besides that, I suppose virtual criminals would feel much more excited to attack than before and governments would target btc holders greedier than ever. Also, I don't know how good it would be, because it would mean a large removal of funds from local economies to put in crypto world. Bitcoin could worth 1 million dollars, but you could have a broken country economy at same time.
6614  Economy / Economics / Re: ‘Crypto not meant for humans’ says Anthony Pompliano on: May 14, 2019, 08:47:10 PM
This is just a joke, but: crypto is not meant for all humans would fit better. Only specialists, programmers will understand how it works, while most people will just use it, as it's not necessary to know how something works to make use of it.
Many people don't know how a computer works, for an example, but they still use it. And like electricity, as said above: many people don't even know from where it comes and how it's generated, but they still use it.
6615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we entering the FOMO and speculative stage...? on: May 14, 2019, 07:40:25 PM
This rise is happening too fast, so I don't think it's a mature market yet, we are clearly in a speculative scenario that creates some general excitement feeling in everyone, what makes me agree there is some fomo in the air, helping to rise btc price even more.
6616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about the gambling site's having a promotion? on: May 12, 2019, 04:09:45 PM
Hello guys,

What do you guys think about the gambling site's promotion? Does the promotion of the site help you playing their games?
What would be the best that the site had to implement in their site like loss back where you'll get a percentage of the money you lose after playing or receiving percentage of your money that you bet?

Gambling sites that give some small funds can encourage gamblers to gamble more in their site. In a way, it is good because gamblers can gamble without using their own funds.  I like how stake.com is giving some ETH thru their telegram daily challenge. I enjoy the games and gives me a chance to boost my balance in the site.
This kind of promotion is the best in my opinion. Different from those promotions which you need to deposit your money, play your balance 30, 40 times to claim a bonus, that is too risky and not advantageous for the gambler.
I think casinos could make more challenges like Stake and giveaways to reward some gamblers without "booby traps" behind. Another idea would be to reward players once they gamble a fixed amount of btcs: like I gamble 0.1 btc (sum of all bets), the casino gives 10,000 satoshis, something like this.
6617  Other / Off-topic / Re: How i learn english on: May 12, 2019, 03:31:31 PM
The best would be to have a teacher in a presential english course, but not everyone have money to take paid classes. Thankfully there are youtube videos focused in teaching english to people, since the basics.
You need to search for a local youtube channel, from your country, where you can learn since the beginning. It's very important because you can fix some little mistakes you may commit by not learning some english rules.

Furthermore, you can make a combo of: english lessons on youtube + english music (with headset, and if possible musics which speak clearly, not only slangs and bad pronunciation) + online content to be read, like in games and news.
6618  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia to replace USD reserves with Bitcoin on: May 12, 2019, 03:12:43 PM
Of course this is fake news, dollar reserve is very important for any country, as it's a stable currency that supply the country in crisis times. With bitcoin the country would become too vulnerable to foreigner intervention (sabotage), especially Russia, which is one of the most influent countries in the world.
Other people hodling large btc funds could just dump the market to affect that country storing their reserves in bitcoin.

Although I think every country should store some btcs (or even cities, villages administrations), but not their entire budget or reserve.
6619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your definition of shitcoin? on: May 12, 2019, 02:39:33 PM
For me it's a currency created with the sole purpose of being pumping once, right after the ico, so speculators can make profit. After this initial pump, the currency dumps and never recover itself anymore, because nobody has real interest on it.
It's a currency mainly used by speculators and not enthusiasts.
6620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ponzi / Pyramid Scheme / Bubble on: May 12, 2019, 04:40:58 AM
Bitcoin is a "product", it exists and has an usage, and as you said, pyramid schemes don't involve any products, it's just a group of people sharing money to bring more people to share money too. That is a good proof bitcoin isn't a pyramid scheme.
The bubble part is more complex: when there are so many speculators investing I can understand bitcoin price is overdone and it can be seen as a bubble.
